Perhaps the beast thought himself scottfree with his leap of faith in hopes of firing a cero. However what he would in return was the lack of Hibiki at all he lacked what others of his kind had shunpo or as the arrancars called it sonido. In exchange for his folly of an attempt to escape he would find that if he had looked close enough at the actions of Hibiki and his blade he was bound to find its path already changed. He knew what to expect from such a creature the thought of escape so eagerly poised on its mind as that serrated swirl of reiatsu escaped the length of his blade as he swung his blade and with that came a step and twirl. The beast would have popped out of his gargantua only to find that Hibiki’s back was not where he expected and in turn this would have led him to being met with the intense sensation of shredding. An ounce of deception for a pound of flesh or so it would seem. These two were clearly ones to make a show of battle to some degree or at least the old Hibiki would in a moment like this.
The beast popped out of his garganta with such confidence, such boisterous behavior only to put himself in a perilous position. It would have been as if Hibiki reverted back to his roots as a practitioner of hakuda and an expert of hoho, when the beast came about to bring his cero to fruition. Where normally this technique typically left behind a large article of clothing to substitute the body in these moments there was a tuft of fur from his new found boars hide that resided at his waist. The technique in question, utsusemi. Which was a useful technique in Hibiki’s arsenal when it came to hakuda but here it serves as a means of survival. This green tuft of fur would be left behind as nothing more than a few burned hairs rather than the patch originally left behind. What the four legged beast found himself incinerating was likely to be reduced to nothing more than dust. In turn Hibiki was already poised to deal with his opponents trickery much like he was before this transaction even began. It was likely the beast thought his reactions trained but these were purely instinct, a device of his subconscious and when it came to this creature it was going to be to his eventual demise.
When it was all coming to a close he had already left the area of the initial and what came with that was a spin, like a master of tai chi or a boxer performing a Dempsey roll as a smooth transition from a turned back to a blade coming with an aggressive swing. This would in turn allow Hibiki to still adjust himself even in the event that he missed his mark, the beast entire body. Even if he opted to fire his cero he would find that Hibiki was now to his right rather than directly in front of the horn which had been aimed to cleave his opponent. Not only did the beast give Hibiki a gracious warning by tearing a hole in the fabric of reality but he also provided Hibiki with an opportunity of attack. If there was one thing a good fighter knows it is to expect the unexpected and then some. So when this beast took the time to attempt to strike out at Hibiki’s back he would find that this motion was predictable. It was one of the most common actions of an assassin let alone a tactic of ambush predators far more aggressive than a horse like hollow. This beast should have known that as a creature of the wild wasteland called Hueco Mundo. Had this beast seen that serrated essence of Hibiki’s reiatsu he could find that even in his use of utsusemi and his use of a combative roll that came with it he could find that the aforementioned essence followed suit. When his body spun so did the reiatsu lashing out in an aggressive fashion aiming to strike the beast even if he did continue with his motion to attempt to impale Hibiki he would find that the length of his blade had given him the advantage. In the event that the beast even continued with his escape or attempted to strike out again Hibiki would in turn give the beast his opportunity at it. While death was the name of the game when it came to starting a journey as a hollow or a shinigami it certainly was neithers end goal. This meant that if the beast attempted to strike out once more, Hibiki would be ready, his toes poised ready to use shunpo once more in his typical fashion and then some.
