Listen Here!
Enrico has never been one to stop and listen for too long. In this case, Max was certainly special. Unlike others before him, he could always catch the False King's attention rather easily. His methods of speaking were tailored towards the man and this went unnoticed. If anything, the show of respect was appreciated, at least subconsciously. Because of the Espada's gung ho nature, he did not often pause to think about questions that were brought to his attention. Rather, he felt that they were not worth answering. In this case, Max posed a question that was more of a dilemma. How could he entrust a minion to do the job of a King. His messengers were supposed to represent him, but they could only go so far considering how much power they lacked. As Max spoke, Enrico listened carefully, processing every word without interruption.
”But what if the underlings fail to carry out the order you gave them? Hm? What then? You stand to risk defeat because you blindly assume minions can handle a task of killing something that proclaims itself to be a King. Tell me, Enrico, would you send minions to kill me? You have an outstanding perspective, mi hermano, but I cannot agree with your hands off approach for matters such as that.”
He makes a valid point. One can speak to the will of the King, but carrying it out in its entirety is out of the realm of possibilities for those that are ultimately expendable. Those that obey Enrico are ultimately thrown away when the time comes. Those around him currently were not much a group. Unlike the others, everyone within this room could pose a potential threat to the man. The day in which he rose a hand to Elliora would never come because his profound love for her was unmatched. Reminiscing for a moment as he continued to think on Max's words, brief images of him tearing apart his hundreds of wives came back. Even now, their deaths sparked nothing within him. It was no one's fault but their own for being born in such a world at the same time of Enrico's existence. His lips begin to move when Max finishes his inquiries and comments on what the man has said.
"Max, you make a good point, I shall admit this." Shockingly, Enrico is willing to admit that his tunnel vision had gotten the best of him. "I would never send minions to kill you. Like I told you, the moment you slip up, I will have your head." A grin accompanies these words as they delight him to no end. When he briefly fought Max, the joy that ran through his body was unparalleled to anything he had ever felt over his more than 800 years of life.
Emilia speaks up and it's evident that her approach is different from Enrico's—so much so that it warrants another response from Max.
“A wonderful speech my lord. If these kingdoms oppose Las Noches and refused to come under its rule then of course we have to crush them. Though the question remains, how should we do it? divide and conquer? Sow doubt amongst their ranks? Trick them into fighting one another and take out the victors? Or my personal favorite pulling them together into a coalition and ambush them on their way here.” Enrico bites his lip gently as his distaste for some of the tactics that Emilia has spoken of shows with his expression. Sure, dividing and conquering was fine, because that meant approaching an enemy head-on. Infiltrating their ranks and ambushing them was beneath him. He was not one to fight in the shadows, nor come out of them to attack. Clear skies allowed for one to witness the expressions of those falling to one's blade. Only when enemies were slaughtered out in the open could their souls reach their climax. It was then that they tasted better than anything in existence.
Max's response plays on Enrico's ears without being questioned, and it grabs his attention with relative ease. It's evident that he knows how to sway the man. ”All good suggestions amiga, though, how you do it is not up to me but rather up to you and Enrico. It is why I summoned you two here to pass on some orders to you as well. I want you both to travel out into the sands of Hueco Mundo, under the banner of Las Noches, and annihilate any and all who would dare besmirch the title of King. It is what I have been doing these past four days but I must shift my attention elsewhere for the time being. Those who stain and sully the righteous title of King must not be allowed to live. They either bow to us or are buried by us, no in between.”
It's time for a massacre
Enrico cannot help but speak just before Max continues, adding on his thoughts. "Yes! Yes, that's right, Max. That's exactly what should be done. Those that would lay claim to the title of King are to be punished. My hands will show no mercy. Death or submission... How delightful!" His uncivilized Arrancar nature begins to show itself as he gleams with excitement, a smile replaces the distaste he felt from Emilia's initial suggestions.
Once Max begins to speak about the Quincy, the man's head tilts slightly as he feels the fury brewing within his words. This anger ignites the sparks of rage within Enrico as well.
”What do you lot know about Quincy and our history with them? How they slaughtered our kind like cattle, enslaved our kind and went as far as to break Arrancar to the point they referred to themselves as Quincy! It doesn’t matter if they were strong or weak it is a slight against our kind I cannot forgive. Their Emperor sat upon a throne and dared proclaim all is his to take.” Enrico knows all too well about the history of Arrancar and Quincy. The former Emperor dared to lay claim to that which was not his. He proclaimed his rule over all worlds within existence. The Cuarto was brimming with rage as he listened, the refresher on their history had birthed a newfound rage at the descendants of the former Quincy Emperor.
”The pathetic Shinigami failed to exterminate them and let them live and reproduce to this day. I want nothing more than to rip their muscles and tendons from their bones and parade their lifeless cadavers atop my spear. Mi Amigos, once the rest of our fellow kinsmen return from the Human world, what would you say to a bit more carnage? What would you say to an all out invasion of the human world to break, maim, torture, and slaughter the Quincy?”
Immediately after Max finishes speaking, Enrico nearly bellows to get his words out. "Yes, yes, yes!" His words affirm the feelings that Max has brought forth. "We should break them into bits, grind them into dust, kill off their bloodline! Nothing less than total extinction is an option! How wonderful it will be to decimate them like insects. They will beg for mercy and be met with none. I cannot wait to devour their hopes, their dreams, their aspirations, their wills, their entire being!!!" His Reiatsu begins to flare, threatening the room's structure for a split second before he contains it within himself.
"Let's destroy them by any means necessary."
