”WE’RE LOSING THEM! NURSE, HOLD THEM WHILE I RELIEVE THE PRESSURE!”
The stressed and tired voice of the doctors shouts his orders to the surrounding medical staff, working painstakingly to save the life of the patient lying helplessly on his operating table. He is just one of many. The hospital is flooded with the sick, the injured and the dying — their numbers higher than ever due to the mysterious tragedy that befell Naruki City four days ago. Every able hand, every Doctor, every Nurse, every CNA and expert called in to assist wherever they could however they could. With such a terrible tragedy it was all hands on deck.
The medical staff fill nearly every hall on every floor, and still they are grossly outnumbered in comparison to not only the many patients, but their concerned loved ones as well. Many seek answers, others turning to the hospital for a sliver of hope. Desperate times indeed.

Within another room a young woman lays comatose in bed, her life maintained only by the various medical apparatus attached to her. A young man waits outside, clearly broken at the sight before him. Unable to help her, unsure as to whether or not she could even hear him if he spoke to her, if she’d ever open her eyes again he sits in a cold seat of depression. He’s never felt so weak...so..powerless.

STEP STEP STEP
Amongst the noise, the hustle and bustle of the crowded halls are the steps of, from the sound of it a grown adult male. He strolls past various nurses pushing carts of pills and tools, around patients yet to be seen by anyone. A clipboard tucked away under his left arm, crimson locks swaying and bouncing with every step.
Step..Step-
”You must be the boyfriend. I can’t imagine what you’re going through but trust we’re going to do all we can to help her.”

The young man looks up weary eyed towards the doctor. He was exhausted, lacking even the strength to voice a response. He sighs, turning his focus back onto his girlfriend, lying quietly, lifelessly in the bed. The doctor steps up to the glass, staring at the comatose woman, uttering not a word for several minutes.
”Come with me sir, it won't be long. I just want to draw some blood, run some tests to make sure you’re in good health and perhaps...a transfusion may potentially help this strong young woman.”
The man’s eyes peer up, hesitation in his eye as he gazes past the doctor towards his beloved. He didn’t want to be away from her side, not even for a moment should she open her eyes. As if reading the young man’s mind the doctor approaches him, resting a reassuring hand on his shoulder, speaking with a voice just as kind, just as gentle.
”Don’t worry, I promise you it won't take up much of your time. Okay?”
Glancing back at his girlfriend once again, he gives the doctor a nod, forcing himself up to his feet. The two walk side by side, steps perfectly in sync. They make their way down the farthest end of the hall before rounding the corner stopping at a door. The doctor takes hold of the door handle, turning it and pulling the door ajar. Giving a nod towards the young man he opens the door further guiding him in, shadowing him inside the room. The door closes quietly and then-
THUD-THUD-BANG
There is a brief commotion, the sound of something bumping against wall after wall before finally..silence. Nearly five minutes elapse before finally the handle of the door turns once again, and the doctor steps out...alone. Adjusting his coat he secures the door behind him, tucking hands into his pockets as he strolls further down the hall, away from the room where the girlfriend lies.
"He took them too… it feels like a dream but Avillo took my powers… the fire, the flames-”
Passing by a certain room the doctor stops outside the door, away from their visual scope. He listens a bit longer at the pained voice of a man deprived of strength, clearly lost at his current state. He takes a glance at his clipboard, flipping through page after page, scouring the list of names on this particular floor until he finds the room he was looking for.
”Tsukune Furaiyori huh.”
He mutters quietly to himself before he proceeds on. Tucking the clipboard back under his arm he continues to scour the halls, vanishing amongst the mass of doctors, patients, and all manner of nurses and physicians. With so much going on, with still so much to be done there was little time for one to bother with idle chit chat, leaving the wandering man to his own devices...whatever they may be.

Hueco Mundo >>>> Naruki City
33a162e3a33ec7ebe706b95adfeac9a6.png

Well, this would be his first trip to the world of the living as an Arrancar, and just thinking about it made the silent giant nervous. Still, he neglected to show that sign of weakness in a Garganta, by scuffing at the darkness within it. Sure he wasn't going alone, but the beings he was going with he didn't trust as far as he could throw them. One of them tried to eat him once already. No hard feelings of course it was how Hueco Mundo worked. The weaker got eaten to make the strong, stronger… and days ago, Galia was much weaker… but since then he's eaten every hollow in his little territory below Las Noches; which was formerly Aragon's territory, but now Galia has defended the sands above the catacombs valiantly. Since the four days, Galia has strengthened his Hierro, and in turn, the strength of his spike's structures has increased exponentially. Now, it'd be hard for almost anyone to break them off unless Galia does it himself to give them even a little sliver of hope.
He heard footsteps in the Garganta coming from behind and put one arm on the hilt of the giant sword on his back. He realized it was the last of the party sent to Naruki city. Nicolas, 9th espada… and… well Galia didn't recognize this one… maybe it was one of the hollows that crashed Max's little party… oh well. Galia turned back around as the Garganta opened, and as quickly as it opened, he left them behind again, to scout ahead. Leaping from the tear in the sky, Galia smiled with a smug, feeling the wind buckle to his weight; his next course of action was diving legs first into the city streets below. It was time to make it his playground… but first...
It was like the whole city had come to life, though currently, it was only their area. Those who could sense the Garganta and its direction would soon see large, white spikes just out from the city buildings, Galia made a forest of thick, tall spikes that towered over skyscrapers, and took vehicles with them; some with poor humans still in them, as tinier spikes fly out like small branches and Pierce those trapped in their steadily rising cars. A city bus got caught between two spikes, everyone within the crumbling metal death trap was dead within seconds. Galia would let out a wail, before racing out of the spike himself; the only visible indication he was headed toward the presence of immense power he felt had to be the soul king's blood max was after.
Galia didn't need a sonido to race toward the presence he noticed and felt; and if Nic and the fellow with glasses stayed behind but kept up the pace, they could hide from direct attacks by whatever was there protecting it, if there was anything at all, by using Galia's spike forest and the surrounding buildings as cover. Soon the street he was going down would be covered with the spiked forest and darkened by their shade, and soon what they came for would be into focus… Galia would make quite the distraction by causing mayhem in one part of the city. However, as the spikes appeared to hide their entrance through the Garganta, as quickly as they grew they stopped and remained downtown, Galia moved ahead silently, to stealth on the current situation and report back to Nic and Izeel on where and what has happened with the blood their god-king wants so badly. Perhaps the spiked forest would divide Shinigami numbers, making them wonder how or why such constructs appeared out of seemingly nowhere. Still, so long as Galia remained fully submerged under the ground, he could go in undetected. Should anyone touch his spikes he'd be able to know their precise location.

Fall Into Despair While You Read
Calmly walking through the black void of the Garganta soon a small posse of hollows followed after him. Three hollows accompanied him on his way to meet up with the others at first glance appearing nothing more than low-class regular hollows, but this realization of what they were harbored something far worst. The moment he reached Galia's location within the void the three adjucha that followed kneeled before Izeel waiting for their orders from him.
” Don’t worry about the blood leave that to us and if the opportunity presents itself bring me a strong spiritual specimen. Your task is to seek out any plus within the area than kindly help them speed up hollowfication, and tell the demi-hollows to continue converting these souls for our army. Anybody who isn’t one of us reminds them why they all fear our kind and remember to overwhelm your opponents together than when one falls behind pick them off.”
One of the adjuchas glanced up from the kneeled position before speaking. ” If we do this you give us our word you will help us from devolving?” The adjucha spoke with a little distrust in his voice but knew didn’t have any other choices. At this time Galia had just left out the Garganta leading charge on the misfortune that awaited Naruki again.
“Yes you have my word, devils honor. If you are successful you will experience the thrill of what it means to become an Arrancar. I can even save your friend there who is a lovely ticking time bomb.”
A minute after Galia started things off these three adjucha had an extreme look of desperation in their eyes. Desperation made it so simple to manipulate his pawns to do what he wanted without trying, and these three who were on the verge of devolution definitely were grasping at straws. They were more than enough to deal with any obstacles that stood in their way along with Galia becoming the perfect distraction for him. Why just stop at retrieving the Soul King’s Blood? Izeel knew what scared everybody the most, it wasn’t just the Arrancar amassing but the moment they no longer acted like wild animals but an actual militia force. This was the first step to awaken them all of this realization as the hollow and adjucha who desperately sought to survive Izeel preyed off that emotion. A city full of unguided souls and the shinigami so focused on the blood alone meant turning Naruki City into a hollow breeding ground only make those who called this place home in over their heads before they realized what was going on. Giving one small glance to Nic before the Descorrer opened up in panels with the bone forest insight and completely concealed his reiatsu using the bones to further mask his presence.
The moment he stepped outside into the human world a wide smile grew on his face and took a second to use Pequista sending out a large range ping to detect the location of the Soul King’s Blood. Picking up its unique signature made Izeel’s eagerness to get his hands on it skyrocketed with a small ominous chuckle. Pressing something in his naval where a device was being housed a small portal opened up with a silver handle slowly protruding through it. Gripping the portion of the shaft of the weapon that came out he pulled out his scalpel spear twirling it around before holding it like a walking cane casually making his way towards the transport where the Soul King's blood was located at using sonido. Not knowing what the shinigami were planning to do with it just yet or when it will be taken to its designation decided to give them a welcoming party. He lifted the hilt of his weapon up to his lips blowing in it like a whistle with 20 hollows exiting out the Garganta’s that opened up and immediately given the order to concentrate their cero on the ones protecting the royal procession to weed them out and scatter their forces before diving in to go on the attack. With three adjucha on the verge of becoming menos grande killing anything in their way while creating more hollow, twenty hollow disrupting the shinigami at the location where the royal progression was, and Galia providing large distraction of his own. The protectors of Naruki City were backed in the corner just how Izeel foresaw playing off the hollow basic nature to be drawn into places of high spiritual power, knowing the moment they started to fight back additional hollow be attracted into the human world like the moth’s to the flame. Amidst the havoc now underway Izeel remained hidden curious what Nic would do while he waited for his moment to strike and claim his prized treasure already neatly packaged away for him. This was the power of the one who proclaimed himself as the smartest of Hueco Mundo when given only a mere four days of preparation.
"The most dangerous creation of any society is somebody who has nothing to lose."

It wasn’t the first time he’d been to the World of the Living, but it had been a while. Walking down the formless lane, Nicolas comes to meet two other Arrancar, Galia Amarissa and Izeel… Cam-whatever. Behind the newly formed Espada trailed several other hollows. Nicolas spared no conversation, the three of them clearly on a mission, but the lazy pig would hardly lift a hand unless he was pushed to do so. Unless he retreated in the first place. A glance back towards the closing Garganta earns a sigh of despair even as he ventures forth towards their common task.
He had hoped that they could do this quietly, but according to Galia, he had other plans. The sound of his wails earned a grimace. What was the show of power for? Clearly, the events that Max had assigned them to wouldn’t have gone so smoothly if he sent three of them to retrieve the blood of the Soul King. He’d clearly planned ahead for them, seeing obstacles that would prevent them from retrieving their goal such as the dreaded Shinigami… He hadn’t had one of those in a while.
“¿Cual diablos es tu problema?” (What the hell is your problem?)
Meanwhile, Izeel had a short conversation, tasking his lackeys in finding things of his interest while he had other plans. Nicolas sparingly caught the words of de-evolution from one of the adjuchas and could imagine the sort of promise made if they managed to succeed.
Nicolas lingered behind them, his hands in his pockets, showing such a careless nature. The Ninth Espada really loathed being here. He watched them as they acted, here and there, moving as if to prove something other than getting the most simple sample of the Soul King’s blood. Glancing around the floor, Nicolas managed to find a small container on the ground, almost untouched by the massacre that the city of Naruki outside of scratches here and there. He moved with caution though, held up in his tracks as he shut his eyes for but a moment, a gentle pulse flowing from his body as it spread farther and farther from his person to gain a range of whoever was in the area…
The low glow of his rustic orbs was revealed once more, his attention shifting towards the West of them, nearly two dozen individuals that possessed a spiritual affinity. Doubting that they could be of their own kind, Nicolas could only infer that those of them that resided in western Naruki, just shy of a few miles away, happened to be...
“Shinigami… How scary.”

The peace-filled day would unknowingly to Kiku get ruined in seconds. The procession had made its way to the Senkaimon hidden in the sky by a large shroud of clouds and Tenth Division members. They were preparing to start opening the gate and taking the vital material through its screen doors when all of a sudden, Reiatsu heavy and thick could be felt from the east. Kiku's eyes were sharp, yet the distance was greater than his sight. There was no doubt, though, it was the same type of energy the Garganta from days ago gave off. Kiku had felt its energy multiple times and was now very familiar with it.
" Another Attack?!" His index finger shot to his temple, and as he shouted, the many Shinigami with him all did the same.
" I need Tenth and Fifth to prepare for an attack; a Garganta has seemingly opened in Naruki City! Get everyone out here now! We have to treat this seriously! " As he finished screaming into his own head, The kido corps members and many of the Tenth Division shinigami that escorted him here pulled out their Denreishinki X and sent word to those who needed it most. The Lieutenants of Fifth and Tenth respectively as their top five seated members. Kiku went to shout something else into their heads until...
CRUSH! SMASH! SHRED!
Up the street a few miles, giant white spikes started ripping through the city street and skyscrapers. Cars and a bus were lifted into the air impaled—a signal of war. Kiku would scowl at this display of barbaric force; the screams of panic and life loss in the street below only made him scowl harder. He was having trouble tracking just what the cause of the spikes was until something would burst from one of the spikes and release a horrid cry.
Kiku examined the being for a time, white clothes, big, something that looks like a Zanpakuto. He instantly shot his fingers to the side of his temple again; at this point, the Arrancar was seen by multiple Shinigami. Several voices entered each other's heads at the same time.
" ARRANCAR ARE ATTACKING NARUKI CITY GET THE PACKAGE OUT OF HERE NOW! "
" YES SIR "
" YES SIR "
More messages were sent out over the Denreishinki X, The Senkaimon gate opening, and the procession was now moving through it. The members of Kido corps and Tenth Division swarmed the package to protect it. All Easily giving their all to die for its protection. The corps members chanting in transit to the package would erect a massively strong barrier around their mission objective.
In tandem with expert efficiency, The Ten members of the Kido corps would know what to do; in case of an emergency like this, they were to use only one technique. The members of the Kido Corps reached out, their hands clasped together. They would separate into five two-person cells and perform different Kido at the same time.
" Kigali no Jōmon "
" Hōyoku no Jōmon "
" Kokō no Jōmon "
With precision and speed, the Spells took form; Hexagon-shaped barriers would interlock themselves with the barriers formed from the second spell; a waterwheel would form and interlock around these, then Oblesk like pillars would slam into the area as well.
" Brethren-in-arms withdrawing for the distance of 8 suns and standing still; blue bolt, white bolt, black bolt, red bolt; sinking into the ocean together seeking redemption. " Kiku would speak loud and clear; the amount of reiryoku infused into this spell could be done alone yet would take much time. In this fashion, the barrier would become nigh indestructible and appear utterly instantly. Kiku would continue.
" Ryūbi no Jōmon ... "
Finally, Kiku Creates over a dozen pillars, which are arranged by hand gestures, making them form a gigantic shield or door-like barrier between the caster and the cargo. He would then stretch his hands out and around, then slam them shut in a gesture meant for prayer. As the four barriers come together, they create a rectangular prison-like barrier around the Cargo.
0131ed498e2f316cacb57d2bc6c9c6ed.png

Kiku would then announce proudly and triumphantly; " Shijū no Saimon!" Not a single muscle was strained; not a single bead of sweat had left his body. Kiku was finally in his element, slinging spells around with master efficiency. The barrier formed around the Cargo; this was the Tenth Division shinigami signal to stop protecting the Cargo and hit the streets of Naruki; They knew their job well. Kill anything hollow and protect the living humans.
This would launch the Tenth Division members into action killing anything under Arrancar class, sure some of them might die, but this was what they were training for. His hand would then find itself on his Zanpakuto, no use in waiting around for them to attack him. His reiatsu and reiryoku would soar; as he drew His Zanpakuto out of its sheath, a stream of water would come with it. " Soji, Akaname (垢嘗掃除, Filth Licker, Clean)
adbde0ecdf5d1642c8578e5ce72727e0.png

His Shikai would rest on his shoulder as he awaited a Tenth, First, and Fourth Division response. He was ordered to retrieve and protect the package, not protect the Humans or the Living world's buildings; They would get no chaos or distraction from someone trained in the first and living in the fifth. Kiku was cool and collected the entire time. If any were so brazen as to approach the barrier, he would defend it himself.
