"I understand. While I can approve the transfer out of First Division, I cannot force your acceptance into Fifth Division. I will need to see a transfer request from them." She would say to him, Nodding his head he would stand up and bow to her. " Thank you Head Lieutenant. I will ask the proper people on their side and prepare accordingly." He would then stand straight and head towards the door. There he would take a casual walk towards Fifth Division to await Captain Oda.
Walking through the bright sunny halls, He could feel a sense of tension leave from his shoulders. Taking the time to admire the flowers and butterflies along the way Kiku would spin on his heels. ' Did i forget to say thank you for the Tea? Ah well...' He would then spin again, and continue along his way. The day was still pretty early and he knew that the Captain's meeting was probably going to be over soon. Those titans hardly had anything to talk about other than who to kill first. This made Kiku imagine that he wouldn't be waiting long and the walk over should take as long as he needed.
Stopping by his room, he would pack up his small amount of belongings in a short amount of time. Everything that was his fit neatly inside a back pack. He folded it over and then picked it up over his shoulders. ' Better to be safe, rather than sorry.' He thought as he closed his bedroom door in First Division Barracks for what he presumed to be his last time. Saying hello and goodbye to a few fellow Shinigami present that he knew, he found the rest of the walk to be rather lonely.

It didn't take long for Division five to respond to Katsuo's code red alert, and wrap kido spells around the captured bat hollow. Honestly Katsuo was impressed, though he expected something like this with a Division run by his brother. They guy was impressive in of himself, somewhat of a prodigy. Katsuo looked up to him endearingly, Tenzen knew it but probably didn't care either way. After watching the spectacular work of Division five, Katsuo was more than ready to go back out and do his job, help Lieutenant Hageshi, and save his squad members. He looked toward Eizoku, as the man said;
"Please relay the message that the hollow has been captured and secured, and take with you as many members who are willing. The remainder of us will keep things under control here, until someone arrives to retrieve this hollow...however I do expect an explanation upon your return."
Katsuo nodded, and looked toward the Senkaimon.
"You want an explanation, ask LT. Omoni, I was simply doing my duty."
He'd run toward the Senkaimon following the other members of his Division and the few Division five members they could spare. He had to lead them to let them know what to do… he had to lead members of his brother's squad… and not get them killed… this was a heavy burden to Katsuo, but one he considered a chance to prove himself as an Oda.
"Thanks again. Do tell your captain, my bro I said, Fight the good fight."
It was Katsuo's way of telling Tenzen not to give up and keep fighting. He'd do the same for Katsuo. They may be different, but family still meant family no matter where you were in the worlds. Katsuo would have to come back later, he still had something to do, but he worried less about that, and more about he lives awaiting him past that Senkaimon.
He jumped through it following the other Unseated members that were coming back with him. Backup was coming, and hopefully everyone was still doing okay on the other side. He ran ahead of the other Unseated members and started telling them about what to do just before they exited the gate. They needed to be prepared.
"Everyone, the hell gates have been opened, and Togabito have escaped. They are wreaking havoc in the world of the living at the moment. I need you to listen very carefully. Anything Lieutenant Hageshi says goes. We're all under her order. 13th members I need you to be strong. If any of you know Kido barrier techniques, I need you to help the Division five members keep the integrity of a barrier up. The rest of you, I need you to be swift, and sturdy. Any wounded, dead, or weakened members of the Division, humans, or Quincy, need to go behind the Kido barrier for protection. Yes, I know, some of you may feel indifferent about helping our enemy, but at the moment; the biggest enemy is the Togabito.."
He wasn't wrong. If the Togabito wins, they'll murder hundreds, if not thousands of innocent lives and put the balance of the living world at stake much faster than Quincy will at the moment.
"when I say don't engage the Quincy, I seriously mean, don't. I may not be able to punish you for it, but then again I doubt any of you would want a full on war just after defeating an opponent like this Togabito either. You'll be condemning your friends and fellow Shinigami to death."
He didn't mean to sound harsh, but now wasn't the time to be fighting Quincy on top of the Togabito. He hoped they understood well enough.
"Division five members, I'll need a really strong barrier in an area set away from the fighting. I hope you guys can do that."
Only time would tell, as they approached the gates, many tensed up in preparation for the fight, but Oddly enough 4th seat Katsuo Oda, was calm. He knew what death and destruction looked like already, the strangest thing was… he felt as though it wouldn't bother him anymore. Sure, he wanted to prevent it, who wouldn't? Forgiving himself he felt, for the death of his friends many years ago, was quite possibly the first door to evolution into a fully fledged Oda for Katsuo… he wondered if this was the next test. It might as well be.

In order to quell Kyomu’s frantic questioning, Captain Kagayaki elaborates on his report.
“Per Third Seat Hyouzoku’s report, the bount could only remain in the World of the Living for a specific amount of time. After it was defeated and contained, it simply turned into a block of ice, and shattered into a million pieces. The frozen remains were scattered in the wind. Afterward my field agent secured his jurisdiction for signs of any more bounts, and there was no evidence of any. I was told a singular fullbringer was rather.. aggressive toward Third Seat Hyouzoku, but the tensions were calmed. That specific fullbringer was the only one to have encountered Shinigami before, once as a child..
The Night of his parent’s death.
The quincy’s presence on the other hand was even more insignificant. It is likely that their hierarchy is still in shambles after the destruction of the Wanderich. I was told nothing of a unified Quincy front.”

The Phantom’s body language reveals virtually nothing, but his facial expression is more than enough. Displaying clear irritation in his eyes at the news of the Bount’s fate, he gives no verbal answer to Higen’s remarks. Instead, Captain Oda now gives his suggestion on what they should do from here.
“That area Captain Kagayaki shattered needs to be sealed off. From the ground to the exact location where he shattered time and space needs to be sealed. It could be a weak point that this creature can use to infiltrate the Soul Society. That would mean we need to move a large section of the Rukongai Citizens out, I don't care how they are removed."
‘There’s that paranoia again…’
“ I might just be acting paranoid but I'd rather be safe than sorry."
‘Sigh...’
"We should also have all soldiers at the ready to invade or be invaded. We can't recreate the same events that befell the Soul Society centuries ago when the Quincy invaded. We have to be better than that, we have to be prepared..."
”Which is why we should head out now and kill them before they get the chance.”
“If there’s a time to prepare, more than normal.. this is it. Whatever war approaches, I’m willing to take any necessary precautions and measures to eliminate the threat. Should the enemy strike through the world of the living, you all can count on me to be the spearhead that destroys them on the front lines. I will not sit by and have my home, or anywhere under my care left to the devices of foreign invader.”
All the Captains scramble to come up with a plan, only for all of their ideas to be drastically different from one another. Even if Yū has a plan of his own, he can’t even find a comfortable place to safely recommend any of his suggestions. At this rate, they would never get anything accomplished anyway…
“Weakness. That is what my eyes see.”
The boy is noticeably startled, his posture straightening out at a moment’s notice. Where there was once bickering is now utter silence. Finally, their Commander addresses them… and his tone is anything but welcoming. Without hesitation Shobatsu continues, his attention now honed in on his first victim, Captain Mukuro.
“Captain Mukuro.”
“Under your care, ninety six prisoners have escaped from the Nest of Maggots. Ninety Six threats to the Seireitei now run rampant throughout the Rukongai. As such, you have ninety six hours to locate and capture these souls, as well as the one who released them. Should you fail, you will be stripped of your Captaincy, and expected to serve each inmate’s sentence yourself.”
‘Oh shit…’
You report that the Rukongai Districts have radicalized against us in light of recent events. They will give these prisoners refuge in exchange for harnessing their power against the Gotei Thirteen. The Onmitsukidō’s Patrol Corps will now work in tandem with the Seventh Division to put an end to both matters. You will oversee this personally.”
Yū can hear his fellow Captain’s fists tightening, the straining of his skin reverberating in his ears. Despite the overly harsh reprimanding he just received, he doesn’t move a muscle. The Fairy knows however, if Kyomu could express his reaction in this very moment, the explosion from the Phantom would be uncontainable. While his only emotion towards the assassin is one of contempt, Yū can’t help but feel… pity over Kyomu’s current situation. Everything he had worked hard for and now his very own freedom was at risk… was this why they had all been called here? To each atone for their wrongdoings?
The Fairy now reflects on his own actions– was there anything he had done EVER in his own tenure as Captain to receive punishment equal to Kyomu’s sentence? Before he can even think back and prepare for his own verbal lashing, the Commander’s focus falls on him.
“Captain Nakamoto.”
The rosiness of his cheeks instantly dissipates, leaving his face as a ghastly sheet of white.
“From this moment on, Shinigami of the Fourth Division will no longer be required to stay complacent within the Sōgō Kyūgo Tsumesho. Instead, they will serve as a first response, expected to arrive on call at a moment's notice. You will coordinate with the Eleventh Division, who will accompany your medics into battle when summoned. As Captain of Fourth Division, your jurisdiction now extends beyond the Seireitei’s walls and into the World of the Living, with those under you granted express permission to use the Senkaimon when under escort. The First Division will allocate the necessary funds, adjusting your budget for expansion as you see fit.”
Not exactly what the young Captain was looking for. While he had urgently called for a change of protocol, Yū didn’t anticipate to be... the entire change itself. No doubt his lieutenant and third seat would be pleased– they would no longer be confined to the relief station and would be able to freely accept assignments in the World of Living without reprimand. However, all this would do was stretch out the already small number of Shinigami working in the relief station, further straining their efficiency and doing little to solve Yū’s initial complaint. And now as a squad assigned to work on the frontlines, it seemed recruitment, as well as in-house seat re-assignments, would soon be on the young Captain’s agenda.
“Captain Oda”
“Kiniro Yorugao is dead. His body was recovered along with the remains of Plus souls at the location of the Kōtotsu’s appearance. You will be granted clearance into the Shinigami Research and Development institute, so that you may analyse their remains. You will launch an investigation into the Dangai for any suspicious activity, then you place an official report upon Lieutenant Oki’s desk, along with the Dangai Records you speak of. You have my permission to seal off the area of the Kōtotsu’s arrival, and will work with the Twelfth Division to guarantee that there are no abnormalities.”

With the short-lived mystery of Kiniro Yorugao now put to rest, it would be assumed the Commander’s response towards Tenzen would be concluded. However, Shobatsu had other matters to discuss, his harsh tone now shifting.
The congratulations of your rise to Captaincy are negated by your failure as one. Do you think so lowly of the Gotei Thirteen, that we would rely on a Hollow to defend us? Do you admit that you are undeserving of your role, so weak as to be a victim, so desperate as to count on the power of a Hollow? Remember that you are a Captain first, and Vizard second. You will not merely control your affliction, you will master it, or you will die a Hollow’s death.”
Whatever paranoia or unease Captain Oda had about his own status would easily be dispelled, thanks to the scarily clear warning their Commander had issued. However, the message is the exact same as Captain Kagayaki’s, his previous threat now reverberating through a more powerful and authoritative medium.
“Captain Kojima.”
“You will prepare for war. Continue bolstering your numbers, restructuring your ranks, and training your Shinigami. The Ninth Division will run continuous patrols along the Seireitei’s walls, and will form stations at each of the Four Great Seireimon. You will establish the Kojima Commando Unit, training your four strongest members to provide you direct support at the first sign of a threat. They will become an extension of yourself, so that you yourself will not become overextended. You will teach them shunpo, so that they may make the ten day journey between gates at a moment's notice, and you will condition their strength, so that should the need arise, they will be able to lift and close the Seireimon. You will personally oversee our security measures, and ensure that the Gotei Thirteen is prepared for an attack. You will have my authority to collaborate with the other Divisions in order to see to this task. Should even a single flaw be exploited, it will be you that pays the price. I will be expecting a full report once your analysis has been concluded.”
Having reported nothing of real importance, the Commander’s reply… is equally as uninteresting. Somehow, yet again, Captain Kojima finds himself scot-free of any extreme changes and free of any verbal criticisms despite the Fairy’s issue of protocol change being mainly aimed towards him. Before he can even shoot a scowl in his direction, Captain Kagayaki is swiftly addressed– no doubt taking this moment to thank him for his valiant actions all those months ago.
“Captain Kagayaki.
You sacrificed your body needlessly.

Instantly, Yū’s head whips towards the Commander, his mouth agape. Undisturbed, Shobatsu goes on.
“Living in fear of your own power, you never dared to tame it. That is why your body is broken. That is why your mind is fractured. You are no different from the Vizards that you hate. A victim of your own power, you claim your hesitation to act was warranted. Who are you to pass such a judgement? I told you once, while you grovelled at my feet, that you need only fear what you cannot control. Rather than seize this control you chose to wallow in your fear, you chose to hesitate and leave the burden of protecting the Seireitei upon the shoulders of your comrades. You did not act as a savior, you acted to rectify the problem your fear created, and in the process removed yourself from duty. Do not let it happen again.”
Shobatsu proceeds with the rest of his response, his once-booming voice now drowned out by Yū’s shock. His message is unforgiving; The young Captain is at a loss of words, his face frozen in horror at their Commander’s words. The respected and proud Shining Captain to the rest of the Soul Society… is nothing more than an inessential nutcase in the eyes of his former master. Was their leader truly... this heartless? Is this the thanks Captain Kagayaki deserved for his sacrifice and for his tumultuous recovery that he still was clearly fighting with to this very second?
"Your vision validates Tenzen’s theory, and as well as my own suspicions. You will write a full report and submit it to Lieutenant Oki. Then you will report to the Twelth Division for a scan of your mind, we will see how your encounter with this being has altered you, as well as attempt to recreate the vision from your memories. Following this, you will report to Captain Oda and the Kido Corps, who will erase any influence of this creature, and prevent any further interference.
The bount your Division faced, as detailed in Third Seat Hyouzoku’s report, was Nicolas Klaus. Created by former Captain Ran'Tao of Twelfth Division, and defeated by former Captain Rukia Kuchiki of Thirteenth Division. Captain Kuchiki defeated the creature through the use of her ice elemental zanpakuto, Sode no Shirayuki. The outcome of this sealed the creature into a pocket world within a snowflake. When this snowflake lands upon the world of the living, the Bount is capable of escaping its imprisonment for a limited amount of time. Should this creature appear again, ensure its demise before it can return to the safety of solitude.”

Without wasting another moment, the air suddenly shifts in the Captain’s hall, Yū’s mouth now returning to a neutral state. Now, as a single unit, the Commander addresses them all.
“For the past two years, I have stationed an agent within the depths of Hell. His task, to locate the Captains lost to the Shattered Dimensions event, dead or alive. His orders were clear, he was not to return without information on their whereabouts, at risk of death.
This evening that agent, Yami Mochizuki, knelt before me to report.”
“He claims that the God King has escaped Hell. This act is thought to be impossible by some. However, there is tell of a Togabito who once used the power of a Vasto Lorde to break his chains and be free of the grip of the Kushanāda. Vincent Bauttista, the former God King of Hueco Mundo, possesses power beyond even that. Along with our Captains, and the Quincy Empress, the God King went missing during the Shattered Dimensions Event. It was his absence that allowed me to restore the balance of souls by halving the population of Hueco Mundo. It is likely that this creature has been trapped in Hell, and has amassed enough power to break his chains and escape. I have dispatched an agent from the Eleventh Division to Hueco Mundo in order to confirm these claims.
This news coincides with the revelations of our meeting. Unseen forces are bringing forth forgotten enemies, tipping the scales of fate in their favor to see how easily we may fall. I see as they do. Hypocrites, who claim to protect the balance of souls and yet live as unbalanced men.”

Not a single word is uttered in response, nor even the sound of a physical breath. They all listen intently, each passing word meaning more than the one previous.
“Doubt. Anger. Fear. These cloud your minds and corrupt your souls, distracting you from the only thing you must act upon. Duty.
You stand together as cowards, traitors, monsters, and fools. Forget your petty notions of each other, your opinions are of no significance. I do not command you to hesitate, to fear, to hate, I do not command you to dwell on your past, worry for the future, regret your actions, or hold your ideals. I command you to be strong. I command you to do your duty. To fight and die for the balance of souls. You will stand together and die as Captains of the Gotei Thirteen, or you will live bowing down in disgrace.”
“Before me stands the greatest souls Shinigami have to offer, but what I see are insects. Capable of carving through mountains should they stand together, and yet choosing to stand alone and be trampled. What I see is what every being sees. From the most insignificant of souls in the Rukongai, to the God King of Hueco Mundo. What I see is Weakness.”

In the blink of an eye, the blade that once was shrouded as the Commander’s walking stick emerges, embedded deep into the floor before Yū. The length of the blade itself rivals the young Captain’s own height, further intimidating the shaken boy. Their Commander rises to his full height, now approaching them and slowly descending to their level. He notices Kyomu suddenly tense up at the sight of the blade… did he know what was coming next? Were… were they all about to fall victim to the Commander’s Judgement Blade? Even with their combined efforts, the Fairy knew they would be no match against him… this match was hardly fair. Surely, a man who lived by the rules of balance would understand the scales were too far tipped in his favor.
His teal eyes don’t leave sight of the Commander as he approaches closer to his blade… and continues his pace. The sword remains lodged into the floorboards, purple flames emanating as a faint source of light. Despite the weak excuse of light it provided, the fervent heat that erupted from the flames’ sudden appearance washes over them instantly.
As Shobatsu reaches the door, the hall has become noticeably darker– now pitch black save for the violet flames dancing before them all. He has very few words to leave them all with before the doors shut behind him.
“Do not leave this place until your blood has been spilt.”
“You guys don’t think he means– ACK!

The Fairy tries to clarify the unexpected situation before them, but is instead interrupted by the sudden introduction of smoke. Simultaneous with Kyomu’s sudden launch towards Captain Kojima, Yū’s left hand jumps to grab his own neck in an effort to regain his breath. His other hand extends out before him and between strained gasps, he blurts…
"Shakkahō!”
... as a glowing red orb suddenly manifests in his palm. The crimson light strongly pierces through the Phantom’s smokescreen, the image of his crafty blade now nearing Mahō’s throat. So, the Commander's ominous order was intended to cause… a full-on brawl.
His eyes dart quickly to his waist and it would only take Yū a short moment to realize the clear disadvantage he was in. While he didn’t overly rely on his zanpakutō in the rare occasions he found himself in combat, his Bankai would no doubt have become essential in a situation like this– a situation where combat was not in any shape or form in his self-interest.
Without wasting further time, the source of crimson light as well as the Fairy himself instantly vanish, reappearing within the same second against the wall his back stood parallel to. With a noticeable thud, his back hits the wooden wall as he retracts his hand and the obedient orb closer to his chest, illuminating solely the immediate area surrounding him in the case of an unseen assault. However, with both Kyomu and Mahō occupied for the time being, the young Captain couldn’t imagine a reason for either Higen or Tenzen to strike his own self– but, perhaps they would take this moment to settle their obvious tensions with each other instead.

Tenzen scoffs though it was not aimed at Higen's reply but more so towards the mentioning of an aggressive Fullbringer. Tensions may have been calmed since they were faced with a common enemy but who's to say that this particular human might not lash out against another Shinigami?
"Humans have no reason to have spiritual powers, they are a threat to the balance just as much as the Quincy..."
His prejudice comment does not come without some sense of reasoning with it. Only the Zanpakuto of Shinigami can cleanse and keep the balance of souls while any other method only tampers with it. From the perspective of Tenzen the humans have the easiest role in the grand cycle of life and death and that role is to live. Enjoy the pleasantries of life, make friends, start a family, and live out their days peacefully until it is their time to venture to the Soul Society. Instead, they choose to fight each other over pieces of the ground and other petty reasons. Should humans, in mass, gain spiritual awareness and powers to boot they will set their violent gaze upon Soul Society because to them it will be just another chunk of land for them to claim "ownership" over. The Phantom, who is a lot more vocal than Tenzen originally thought him to be, replies to his statement about being ready for an invasion.
”Which is why we should head out now and kill them before they get the chance.”
Tenzen isn't exactly sure which group he is referencing but looking at the bigger picture purging all of these hostile groups who disrupt everything they work so hard to protect isn't such a bad idea. He nods his head in agreement with Kyomu and vocally responds as well.
"That is a valid point, I find no fault in it other than making sure we don't spread our selves too thin and leave our "castle" unguarded."
This is a man of inner peace openly agreeing to genocide. This should make it clear to those in the room that while he has peace with himself he is no pacifist and will tread down the road of dark brutal violence to do what must be done.
It seems like they are finally starting to find common ground, hopefully, the other two silent Captains are in agreement with this line of thought. If they could finally start---
“Weakness. That is what my eyes see.”
His thoughts are halted by the commanding voice of Murasaki, his jaw tightens and his teeth grind against one another. For a moment he even halts his breathing as if to give the Commander the absolute silence he deserves. But that comment... He sees weakness... This is a startling turn for this meeting, to say the least.
“Captain Mukuro.
“Under your care, ninety six prisoners have escaped from the Nest of Maggots. Ninety Six threats to the Seireitei now run rampant throughout the Rukongai. As such, you have ninety six hours to locate and capture these souls, as well as the one who released them. The Onmitsukidō’s Patrol Corps will now work in tandem with the Seventh Division to put an end to both matters. You will oversee this personally.”

The way Shobatsu speaks... Ninety-six prisoners, ninety-six threats, ninety-six hours. He was clear and to the point and every word held such heavy authority and every sentence felt- no, was absolute. A large task was placed upon the Second Division Captain and as of right now he has no thoughts on the matter not while his Commander continues to address them.
“Captain Nakamoto.
From this moment on, Shinigami of the Fourth Division will no longer be required to stay complacent within the Sōgō Kyūgo Tsumesho.

The Fairy had gone pale when his name was addressed and then the news that followed surely couldn't have helped his mood. He was quite vocal during this meeting, ready to snap at anyone and was the leading voice asking for a change. As they say, be careful what you ask for.
“Captain Oda”
His throat runs dry, that familiar sensation of fear he felt two months ago when he was being crushed by his Commander's Reiatsu. There was no favorable news for the first two Captains and so he expects none for himself either.
His only lead is dead but his corpse still remains, sometimes the dead can talk and offer up a clue. The added permission to seal off the area of the Kōtotsu’s is a good dose of news to take before the bad news follows.
"The congratulations of your rise to Captaincy are negated by your failure as one.
No one else picked up on it, everyone else would see it as Tenzen still getting his way to some degree but these words cut something, his pride. His family, for generations, has existed to provide the Gotei 13 with powerful warriors. It is a family that takes pride in the Gotei 13's strength and its military might. Tenzen has never, NEVER, once in his life thought lowly of the Gotei 13 and for his Commander, a man who he and his clan have boundless respect for, to say that to him cuts him deeply. That's not all if the first question was the edge of a blade meeting skin then the next would be the follow-through that creates the deep gash in his pride. To be asked if he admits to being undeserving of his role, to be weak, to be a victim, and desperate all things that he is not, however, it is how he presented himself. The Commander reassures him of what he is and presents him with something he had never thought about before, Mastery over Control. He must not just have control but mastery if not he will die in the dirt like a beast and forgotten. The peaceful and calm expression he once held is now warped and changed into one of frustration and anger, only Shobatsu Murasaki has the means to upset the balance within The Buddha.
“Captain Kojima.
You will prepare for war.

The Dragon is blessed with good fortune it seems as he is given instructions to better the defense of the Seireitei, even tasked with starting his own elite unit. It isn't hard to see why Captain Kojima is spared of a tongue lashing as he makes his reports monthly via the Seireitei Communication. His division is doing their job, even though they are merely information probes they do their job well. Detailed information on each major event that takes place, interviews with the key figureheads of each event all this is compiled into a report disguised as an informative magazine.
“Captain Kagayaki.
“You sacrificed your body needlessly. Living in fear of your own power, you never dared to tame it. Do not let it happen again.
Your vision validates Tenzen’s theory, and as well as my own suspicions.

So that awkward tension between himself and Captain Kagayaki stems from his hatred of Vizards, Tenzen only hopes he can understand the source of such hatred. What followed was a similar tongue lashing that he received and it only makes him think on it again, he'll have to obtain mastery over not only his Inner Hollow but himself as well, the part of himself he works day in and day out to control. Higen's report is finally addressed and the orders he is issued thereafter will see the two of them somewhat working together even if only for a brief moment. Lastly, he speaks on the Bount what he says is something Kyomu and Tenzen already agreed upon, to some degree, and that is the destruction of the Bount should it appear again.

Now comes time for the Commander's report, the Oda puts aside his own inner turmoil to be at full attention. Whatever he is about to tell them will not be good news.
“For the past two years, I have stationed an agent within the depths of Hell. His task, to locate the Captains lost to the Shattered Dimensions event, dead or alive. His orders were clear, he was not to return without information on their whereabouts, at risk of death.
This evening that agent, Yami Mochizuki, knelt before me to report.
He claims that the God King has escaped Hell.
Hypocrites, who claim to protect the balance of souls and yet live as unbalanced men."

Tenzen looks towards the Commander, the tone of this report is changing and the direction it is about to go will be unexpected, even for him.
"Doubt. Anger.
You will stand together and die as Captains of the Gotei Thirteen, or you will live bowing down in disgrace."

His absolute words rain down on them like hail in a storm, a hail that pierces beyond just the flesh and hits them at their core, at their ego.
What I see is Weakness”
Something pulls his gaze away from the Commander and refocus' it towards the center of the room where Murasaki's Zanpakuto now resides. It was not there before nor was it hidden by Kido. Seeing that blade brings back bad memories and yet, at the same time, it brings excitement to his blood. Murasaki begins to move from his throne, Tenzen's eyes remain glued to his Zanpakuto. As this titan walks down the middle of the hall, between all the Captains, he pays no mind to his Zanpakuto, and upon passing it the blade ignites with black and purple flame. Although hazy and vague he remembers this flame from somewhere, perhaps it is a clouded memory from when his other "self" had taken the reins of his body.
There is a slight twinge in his face as his eyes finally pry themselves free of the burning Zanpakuto and look in the direction of Shobatsu. The hall has grown dark, the flickering flame is the only source of light that remains, subtly illuminating their faces, Tenzen's face particular was rather blank as it lacked any sort of expression. Heat, he feels an intense heat warming him and his empty eyes shift to look upon the only valid source of this heat, the Commander's Zanpakuto. The doors to the Hall open and the light of Soul Society envelops the Commander making him appear to be nothing more than a silhouette and as they shut he gives one final order to the Captains.
“Do not leave this place until your blood has been spilt.”
The doors shut and the Captains are left alone in the darkness with this final order weighing on them. In this darkness, Tenzen can be free. In this darkness, he can cut loose. In this darkness... He can be himself. Blue electricity sparks up around his right arm and up the side of his face briefly lighting it up showing a deranged and maddening grin warping his face.
“You guys don’t think he means– ACK!”
Smoke begins to fill the already dark hall, Captain Nakamoto doesn't seem to be able to read the vibe of the room and so his lungs take in the smoke released by the Assassin. The Fairy casts a Hado to use as a source of light to gain some visual on what was happening and what he saw was Kyomu going for the head Maho. That bout didn't concern Tenzen in the slightest he had other things in mind. The crimson light of the Hado vanished and relocated itself towards the wall, the resounding *thud* from the small Captain hitting it made that much apparent to him.
"Coward..."
These are his thoughts on the young Captain. At this exact moment, Captain Nakamoto is exactly like a small child. Running from the dark with his nightlight in tow. Being raised to always "punch up" and never "punch down" he loses interest in the boy rather quickly. He now makes a decision as he himself fades into the smoke to reposition himself...
Kagayaki Vs Oda: Round 2
Before Captain Kagayaki blue sparks of electricity sizzle briefly illuminating the frame of Captain Oda who was in the air coming down towards the Shining Knight with both blades of his Zanpakuto pulled back towards his right side. This moment plays out like a stuttering film as one moment the sparks around his right arm reveal himself and the next moment the edges of his blades glow yellow. The glowing blades swing in the air from the right to the left looking to take Kagayaki's eyes and throat in one fell swoop. The overbearing violence that is resonating from Captain Oda and his blade can not completely hide the respect he still has for Higen. To be correct he never lost that respect for his senior but this won't be like the Valley of Screams. This isn't a petty rematch to claim a win or some spout of anger over Higen's words, no, like Shobatsu said he is a Captain first and a Vizard second.
He lashes out at the man who proctored for his current place as a way to reforge himself, to reinforce that he is indeed a Captain and to cast aside all doubt that he lacks control. In this darkness, The Buddha will temper himself and forge bonds with his fellow Captains. Then, in the light, his shine will be as golden as the sun itself.

Maho's fellow Captain's continue to talk amongst one another. Points about Fullbringers, Bounts, and Quincy. Things that could potentially matter, but had yet to present any long-lasting issue. Their comments did little more than scratch at his impatience. A thick and juicy vein surfaces in his forehead. Before long the Commander speaks offering his words as the closing judgment. His voice takes command of the space. While the others are made uncomfortable by his words. By his authority. Maho is uncharacteristically calm. The Commander's typical overbearing presence being directed elsewhere gave Maho little reason to fear him, at least today. He smokes in silence as Shobatsu begins.

“Weakness. That is what my eyes see.”

What follows is a temporary silence. It is as though he answers Maho's directly, cementing that all he is able to see now is weakness from the collective of Captains. So far, only Maho had ever truly recognized his own weakness. And...So far?
He had been the sole captain who had voiced any want to improve. Needless to say. He knew what was to come from Shobatsu. The Dragon is seldom clouded by pettiness. Seldom lost in the fallacy of control or lack thereof. All any man could do...
All any warrior could do...
It what they can then and there. Nothing more or less. And if they die...?
So be it.

“Captain Mukuro.”

The Commander's issues a heavy ordinance on the Phantom's shoulders. Find all the escaped prisoners and destroy them, or face their sentence himself. A troubling task, one that he would have to bear the responsibility for. The Phantom was no stranger to pressure. This was obvious. That did not eliminate the weight of such a mission. Maho could sense his anger boiling within him. It was a slow simmer, rising as each word escaped the blind tower of a man. Though his reiatsu did not flare in the presence of the Commander, his emotion read across his nude brow. He was not pleased. What became even more obvious, is that the man responsible was sure to pay the price for incurring his captain's wrath, every prisoner was as good as dead and Kyomu would solve it in just the nick of time. Even after solving this event, he would be haunted by his demons. Haunted by his Paranoia of failure. This would spread to his recruits who would have no choice to pick up the slack...
Well, whatever the result, he would be sure to cast bets once he got back to his division. Why not?
Maho inhales, filling his lungs with smoke as the Commander moves on.

“Captain Nakamoto.”

The Tyrant turned Commander speaks his name, causing the fairy to jump. Who knew Little Yu got so flustered in the spotlight. He shapes up quickly as he gets exactly what he asked for. His division would be allowed the increase in budget that he-so-desperately wanted. What he could not anticipate, is that his division would be that change in protocol, members of the medical division now being called to the front lines. Good. This would give him the opportunity to observe how unpredictable it is in the field. How no matter how hard you fight. How fast you run. Or how effective ones Zanpakuto could be, lives would be lost. His ignorance would be a lesson to him but hopefully, this would show him just how vital his role truly is.

“Captain Oda”

Next is the newest among them. A Third seat who had once aided Maho in protecting the Soul Society. He had gone out of his way to preserve the Haori as a symbol of respect. Not only to the Soul Society but to Maho as well. For this, he would forever hold Maho’s respect. Though he was not without his flaws. Maho saw him as more of an asset than a threat, which is what Shobatsu seemed to agree with, despite also being displeased with his words. The Commander felt he had displayed weakness in not having more c o n f i d e n c e in his ability to master himself. Which was true. Despite Maho’s inability to control his Shunko without injury, he never once voiced that openly. Nor did he blame it for his inability to find success. Instead, he kept at it. His training regime was as relentless as it was narrow-minded. But such a fixative approach created swift results when applied appropriately. The Commander would expect no less from Tenzen. Failure would spell his doom in the eyes of the Soul Society.
Nevertheless, the Vizard Captain is allowed to seal off the area the Kototsu for investigation. He is allowed the devices of the 12th Division to aid in his goal. With his orders given, and his lack of confidence scrutinized, it now falls upon Maho. He removes the cigar from his lips and shifts his gaze in the commander's direction. He has yet to release the previous cloud from his lungs. Meaning he has yet to breathe.

“Captain Kojima.”
“You will prepare for war…”

. . .war. . .
That word bounced around his mind for a while. He had always been prepared for battle. For a threat. But to hear the actual word escape him. This alone was cause for alarm. War preparations were somewhat different than simple training. What could he mean?

Continue bolstering your numbers, restructuring your ranks, and training your Shinigami. The Ninth Division will run continuous patrols along the Seireitei’s walls and will form stations at each of the Four Great Seireimon. You will establish the Kojima Commando Unit, training your four strongest members to provide you direct support at the first sign of a threat. They will become an extension of yourself so that you yourself will not become overextended. You will teach them shunpo, so that they may make the ten-day journey between gates at a moment's notice, and you will condition their strength, so that should the need arise, they will be able to lift and close the Seireimon.

It would seem that he had the green light. His mind had always been preparing for something. The Dragon perceptiveness aided him not solely in battle but in the very flow of fate. There was always a tendency to be in the right place at the right time. Always able to see something coming a mile away. In the eyes of the law, his reasoning had been deemed sound. Of course, Maho foresaw this. His logic was that of a man who spoke only truth. Even when others refused. That feeling he had, the one about the wheels of fate turning. Well…
Let's just say. Them 9th Division boys had some arduous days ahead. At least this would give them an excuse to explore the Soul Society.
For now, thoughts of war push to the back of his mind, like an insatiable itch. There is more to hear.
It is the Knight, who is the last to receive a scolding from Murasaki Shobatsu. As his former subordinate, the two were much closer than any of the other Captains. Such a reality was not necessarily a good thing. That is because each judgment cast wore on the soul that much more. Though he had been praised as our hero. The Commander is not so easily swayed by heroics. The old man's sacrifice was deemed…needless, in the eyes of judgment.

“Captain Kagayaki. You sacrificed your body needlessly. Living in fear of your own power, you never dared to tame it. That is why your body is broken. That is why your mind is fractured. You are no different from the Vizards that you hate.

Maho exhales after all this time. The thing trace of smoke releasing once the attention was off of him. In truth such a sentence came as a shock; Maho was not unaware of Captain Higen’s reluctance. The Dragon still shared in the blame. Maho came to terms with his weakness that day and did whatever he could to rectify it. He had to move on from the souls lost, free to be reincarnated in the world of the living. He would have to find solace in the fact that their deaths weren’t as horrendous as they could have been.
All he could do was move forward. He had spared the Knight further injury so that he could still stand among us. Captain Higen had not yet recovered from the scars of that day. In the end, he was instructed not to repeat the same mistake. He would be up for psychiatric evaluation so that they could get a better read on his fractured memories. Maybe that was the only way to suppress his post-traumatic stress. Maybe the old man really is going senile.
The Commander continues, reciting the report on the count discovered in the Human world. He could feel his mind trailing off in thought once again, that was until the presentation of new information.

“He claims that the God-King has escaped Hell. This act is thought to be impossible by some. However, there is tell of a Togabito who once used the power of a Vasto Lorde to break his chains and be free of the grip of the Kushanāda. Vincent Bautista, the former God-King of Hueco Mundo, possesses power beyond even that. Along with our Captains, and the Quincy Empress, the God-King went missing during the Shattered Dimensions Event.

Monsters…Escaping hell?! He could not fully grasp the gravity of such words tossed about. Sure they had all heard the stories, but even Maho was far to uninformed to have any true detail of the Shattered dimensions event. All he remembered was that Shobatsu had destroyed a great many hollows in order to keep their population in check. A temporary fix to a never-ending problem. Fate seemed to have seen to it that it was time for it to resurface. Just how powerful is this…God-King… He wondered. Vincent…Bautista? It didn’t matter who or what it was. If it came down to it…Maho would shut it down.

This news coincides with the revelations of our meeting. Unseen forces are bringing forth forgotten enemies, tipping the scales of fate in their favor to see how easily we may fall. I see as they do. Hypocrites, who claim to protect the balance of souls and yet live as unbalanced men.

His Large Sandals connect with the wooden floor, causing the rhythmic clack of his Geta to bounce along the walls. The large man takes his time leaving the room, his massive blade crashed into the floor. Purple flames echo a symphony of flame, allowing heat to overtake the room. The discomfort of the Commander's flames bares itself upon the flesh of his fellow Captains. Maho remains stoic to it. His tolerance for heat and flame much higher than it had been months ago. Instead of his usual unease, the Commander's flames inspired him instead.
The Dragons flames were soon to burn just as hot…if not hotter.
. . .

“Do not leave this place until your blood has been spilt.”

The doors to the Captain's hall slam shut, filling the hall with darkness. Smoke idles in a haze, lowering visibility as the Commander's flames illuminate, then snuff out. Even in this low visibility, Maho’s eyes appear to glow beneath his loss. Another Greenlight. This time with an opportunity to put the other Captains in their place. Truthfully speaking, Maho had grown restless. He had grown tired of many of their arrogance. Or lack of confidence. Of their shared weakness. His fists itched to be tested. To be further tempered against those worthy of receiving them. Why not show them the fruits of his labor?
The sound of a blade leaving its sheath strikes his ear, further allowing him to perceive the act in his mind.
Though lost in the dark, the very tip of his blunt reveals his location. A small orange target for the ghost to strike. Yu Nakamoto’s voice rips through space, casting with it, one of many Kido spells.

"Shakkahō!”
A bright orb of red light reveals what lay beneath smoke and shadow. Kyomu had enacted an attack and though It was obvious Yu had only done this for his own benefit, that did not mean it could not be of benefit to others. The Phantom's position would be revealed visually. Maho hadn’t any real use for his eyes, for his were closed shut. He had delved deep into his subconscious mind. His body relaxes becoming weightless and his movements become instinctual in nature.

The spiritual imprint of everyone in the room surfaces one by one, each represented by a whisp of spiritual energy. All souls had an imprint. like candles, these markers gave away the position of entities both living and dead. The ability, “Eye of the Dragon” Allows Maho to perceive these energy signatures through a combination of his basic senses, compiling into a singular sixth sense. Such a sensory allowed for a small level of precognition within his minds eye. He had planned to find a means of improving it. Though he had yet to enact it. Still. With it, as is, all would become crystal clear.
It's Faint…
!?!
right side….!

The Phantoms blade was intended for the Dragon's throat. Instead, when the arc completes, they meet his cigar, splitting it cleanly in half. He had thrust his entire torso backward preemptively, not allowing his movements to be read until it was too late to turn back. He had attempted to inhale, flushing his lungs with heated smoke. He slides along the floor as he weaves three and a half feet outside the range of his attacker's perceived attack radius. The reward for interrupting his inhale was an unstable intake of heat. It's more than enough, however, to ignite his very soul.
8f628ebfbbe24324-snapshots-washi-s-blog.gif

Heat of consistent intensity spreads to the four corners of the room in an instant. Like a bomb, A flood off fire disperses the smoke first, followed then by everyone else. It bombards the senses. One cannot speak without the taste of burning. They could not see beyond the brightness. All that could be heard was the roar of combustion. Though not one hundred percent on par with the likes of Shobatsu’s, his reiatsu is impressively overbearing. The longer one remains under its influence, the harsher upon the body it becomes. Even against the resistance of Kyomu’s special clothing, or against the equal force of one's opposing reiatsu. The density of this unending blaze made an unscathed approach improbable. The temperature in the room rises exponentially with each moment that goes uninterrupted. This way, he manages to target everyone in the room. He was not done, however. This was just the beginning.
FinishedMeanCatfish-size_restricted.gif

Any inkling of pain is ignored and suppressed. Maho stands a foot or so off the wall which remains at his six. His right leg sweeps in a half-circle in order to step into his stance. Like a conductor, his hands sway into place. His right arm tucks loosely into his torso. His left arm extends with an open palm slamming as it extends fully, now encased in ebony. Four streaks of black soar through the inferno, moving autonomously through the air. One sweeps low to the floor, curving at an angle toward the right. Putting it in the path Kyomu would have had to given a direct approach. Being low to the floor, it would be hard to track amidst the fire-based spirit energy burdening the Captain's hall. Such an approach purposes an attempt to latch onto a lower extremity, which one is unclear. If he could, he would pin him against the commander's throne and remove him from battle.
The other three shoot straight up toward the ceiling, hovering in a circle as they reach their peak. Fingers extend from these blackened orbs in the process. Their momentum slows, as they prepare to dive at the other three Captains. Oscillation allowed for a necessary increase in velocity. Currently, Captain Oda surrounds himself with an electrical current and dives at Captain Higen. Illuminating his blade. Soon enough, a limb would descend upon him from the rear, attempt to slam into the back of his neck. This would send his body crashing into Higen’s. Of course, this would only occur after his attack had been sprung on the knight. By now, the Dragons flames were bearing down on everything. Soon all attention would be on him for he had attacked everyone present. Despite the ferocity of his Shunko, the flames never did cause sufficient damage to the building itself. Shobatsu's throne somehow remained unscathed throughout it all, appearing neither seared nor charred.
openpalm.png

It is Little Yu who is the only one who finds himself free of the Dragons assault. The last of these black hands hovering above. They were spaced four feet apart. Both hovering in the center of the room. They would soon descend straight down toward the floor, one intended for offense and the last for defense. Maho would not allow the Phantom to control the pace. He was primed for acceleration, though remained confident in his burning soul as a deterrent against invading forces. How then would the Knight react? Would Shobatsu's words throw him into a frenzy? Would he grow annoyed at Tenzens attack? Would Kyomu continue his assault? Or would they all turn on the Dragon for daring to engage them all?
