Spritz. Spritz
The only sound that filled the room, while all the unusual noise from the outside polluted the only peaceful time the woman quietly walking around her own office could find. A spray bottle to mist the various herbs, succulents, and flowering plants that adorned her office, after all much of her time was often spent here, going through the endless reports and piles of paperwork she needed to personally oversee. Several of them more concerning than others; much more concerning. Because of this, she sent out a letter, asking a specialist on the topic currently concerning her to join her in her office. She needed information, she needed answers, and she was going to get them.
She stood quietly, frozen in thought after a spritz of water on a small bonsai she currently was caring for. Her verdant eyes fixed on the leaves, but not looking there, no. Her head was in an entirely differently place. While her face appeared as serene as the surface of a lake, inside she was struggling to cope with something. She blinked, momentarily coming back to the world around her. She looked around and went back to sit at her desk, where a steaming cup of chamomile tea waited for her to ease her, while a second cup remained empty, as she waited for someone's arrival. With cup in hand, she carefully turned her chair, to gaze out the windows behind her, watching as her subordinates moved to and fro, with haste, preparing and securing the entirety of First Division for the Captain's meeting. She closed her eyes, carefully raising the cup to her lips, where the heat from the tea warmed her painted lips, before she took a small sip. The bit of honey previously stirred in sweet on her tongue, and the warmth, akin to an embrace. She refocused, this time, on the entirety of her division's territory. Making sure to keep in mind of anyone notable in their territory, even if she currently had other things on her desk to handle. Akarui, the little hot-head stationed at the Captain's Hall entrance, standing guard, allowing only a select few entrance. Their Captain, who she knew was at his throne, without having to sense for him, clearly had something to address... something confidential perhaps? While to the east, she noted three signatures, two of which, were turned away at the gate, separating them from the silvery flame heading further in.
"Interesting.."
She muttered softly, placing a mental pin on this information. She diverted her attention once again, this time, to the south, as another powerful signature arrived to First Division. She lowered her cup as she slightly tilted her head, curiously focusing further on this peculiar signature. Like a smudge on a pristine surface, this unsettling signature within the serenity held by who she'd identified as the new captain of Fifth Division. Certainly, she was aware of the happenings and those affected, but this was her first chance to actually interact with a Vizard. Perhaps, they could share a cup of tea together soon. A familiar signature made it's way not far behind Captain Tenzen, one she was glad to recognize, young and vibrant, which made an endearing smile spread across her face. He was okay, after everything, and she was clearly happy to see him continue to don his Captain's haori. Following that, she noticed another familiar signature that she hadn't seen in a very long time. A soft sigh of relief escaped her lips, after all the time he had been comatose, she was glad to see him back on duty.
She settled back against her chair, taking another sip of her tea, steam no longer present; but the tea still warm, she took another sip. Soothing. She turned her chair over, glancing up at the clock, wondering when her company would arrive. Where she locked her gaze on the small handle of the clock, staring intently, while her mind flashed back to something that weighed heavily on her mind. Her mind returned to that day in the Rukon district, where she had to personally handle the witnesses of the wicked pot in the aftermath of that day. One hundred thirty four civilians. Everything taken care of quickly.. efficiently in the exact same manner.
Sprouting vines coiling silently, slithering up legs, arms, slowly secreting paralyzing and numbing toxins that quickly incapacitated them. They didn't fall to the ground, no. They were caught by the very vines that subdued them. She watched as the vines continued working, wrapping around them, beginning to slip into orifices. Creeping inside feeding and gorging on them and whatever little spiritual energy they happened to have. Flowers bloomed and blossomed across the vines, while the looks on the faces of those victims where unsettlingly at bliss. Something secreted by the vines giving them solace in what would be their last moments of life.

After all, she had to cross every T.. dot ever I. Nothing... no one could be left as witness to the vile evil that was the Aku Hachi Hakkō.

Maho's verbal declaration is met with mostly silence, for a time. The small brown-skinned woman at the entrance seemingly says nothing to him, her job far more important than indulging the verbal call of even a Captain. His word trails off into the open air until he falls silent again. The smoke around him seemed to settle around his form, becoming more common and less potent now as it settled into a slow and continuous burn. Sigh...First division...
Behind him, a presence approaches, accompanied by a nervous voice.
""Ah... Uhh, Captain Kojima... I guess we're the first ones here? Hehe..."
The Dragon turns his head, his hidden eyes taking in Tenzens form, his white haori covered in the blue cloak of the Kido corps. He can recall when he first saw the blonde-haired man, fitted in the standard haori. Now only a few months later, and he looked the part. Everything about him, even the way the shadows and the light hit his face seemed different. He certainly looked the part. The child in his caused his eyes to turn to stars, his mouth gaping open as his voice like an excited child carries its way into Tenzens ears.
"OOOOOoooooooooooohhhh! Sugggoiiiiii!!!"
He closes the small gap between them, for a moment as he continues.
You know, you're a hard man to reach! I been tryna get a hold of you since you saved my Haori during the Kototsu incident."
He shot his fellow Captain a smile as genuine as the warmth from the sun. His teeth clean and wide glistened against the sun's rays. Though he could not see his eyes, one could feel that Maho did not do much that he did not mean. He was truly happy for Tenzens progress and despite the event that had occurred recently, his shift into that of a Vizard, Maho still saw him as an ally. The Dragon wasn't one to follow the crowd or fall victim to his prejudice. And Tenzen had already done more than enough to earn his respect.
"Bet you thought I forgot huh?? Heh! Thanks, Cap-"
"H-hey!?"

He attempts to extend his fist to Tenzen, only for this moment of genuine kindness to be disrupted by Captain Higen, who severed the space between them with his large body. Maho quickly steps back to clear his path, it is evident in his stride that something ails him. And for whatever it was worth, Maho didn't really appreciate it.
"Captains"
The sudden interruption, causes Maho to look toward the entrance once more. And who does he find, but the Phantom himself, Waltzing far in front of Higen.
"Huuuuuh!?!? When did HEEE get here?!" his entire body sags with his words, his shoulders and arms dropping low toward the ground. At the apex of his "huh" his mouth gapes open just as low as his shoulders. It sure was a strange sight, seeing a captain act like this. But could you blame him?
Had he missed his arrival? Was he too caught up talking to take notice? He could have sworn he had been monitoring the area, but in the act of conversing, he had suddenly dropped his guard. He hadn't even noticed the phantom slip passed. This coupled with Higen's walking path caused a vein to surface on his forehead. He takes a large inhale of smoke and holds it, preferring to waste just a little more time at the entrance. It seemed that not everyone else had arrived yet and he would prefer just a bit more time where the air was clear. As he looked toward the direction of the Head Captain, all he could see, encapsulating the entirety of the meeting hall, was a haze, like a mirage of purple. He had to space out just so that he would not focus enough to see it. Suddenly he didn't want to monitor the area around him, he wanted to be shut off from it. It always caused the hair on his neck to rise just being here. His shoulders visibly tensed as he watched the other two captains wonder inside.
"Sigh...."

Blazing through the Soul Society, the social butterfly is uncharacteristically ignoring everyone in his way. His form barely corporeal as he refuses to slow from his incredulous dash to the Captain’s Hall, Yū Nakamoto is out of the Fourth Division in no time. A straight shot out from the barracks comes the East Gate and instead of taking in the rare opportunity of finding himself in the First Division and basking in all of its supposed glory, the boy is merely a faint blur on the sector’s rooftops. Passing overhead the crowds in no time, the fast approaching hall is already in sight in record time– and so are his fellow comrades. Yet even from this distance, Yū can already hear the eccentric Captain Kojima chirping away–
“"Huuuuuh!?!? When did HEEE get here?!"
“Always so loud...” the young Captain mutters to himself as the hall now lies directly before him. His impressive Shunpo comes to a sudden and unexpected halt directly behind Maho. He approaches his side as the Captain finds himself already occupied, transfixed by the hazy, violet entrance, no doubt a form of Commander Murasaki’s chilling aura.
“Scary, huh?” Yū whispers eerily, also rather intimidated yet excited by what’s to come. “But, that’s the Commander for you,” the boy adds, now facing towards Tenzen Oda as he flashes his trademark smile.
“Glad to see you back, Captain Oda. Especially after… all that happened,” Yū mentions, a hint of distress in his expression. It was clear the man was put into an unfortunate position, into a situation he was in no means qualified for, and as a result now had to pay the price for it forever. However, forever would only be a thing in the past in Yū’s ideal world… if only there was a way to reverse the condition. The mild anguish in his face subsides after a very brief moment, now briskly turning away from the pair and proceeding towards the hallway.
He now catches sight of another and soon unwillingly finds himself approaching the legendary (read: infamous) Akarui Gekkō, former member of the Fourth Division back when he was merely an academy scholar, and his elder by centuries. As a formality, the Captain calls out to his former peer.
“Wish us luck!” Yū blurts out as a short greeting as he passes by, knowing surely… that little menace probably wouldn’t. Well, at least someone wanted to see the Captain today, even if it was the World Destroying Flame; His stride remains uninterrupted, as he grows uncomfortable with the thought of making it wait any longer.

“Here they come...”
It was a small hiss under her breath, and she made sure that no one else was able to hear it. The distant sounds of feet crushing against grass echoed throughout the quiet courtyard, and had it not been for his unnatural scent, the energy that swarmed inside of him was enough to surmise that Maho Kojima had entered the grounds of the First Division and was pleasantly making his way to the captain’s hall on his own time.
"Oiiii ~"
He comes into view, and she offers nothing but silence and a blank stare per his arrival at first… And then she dips her head in accordance. A gentle and simple greeting to the first captain to arrive in the First Division. Not long after, the distant sounds of stone cracking beneath pressure echoed in the distance, or maybe it was just her acute hearing, but another had joined the fray, eventually surfacing the area just behind Maho. Tenzen Oda, the newly appointed Captain, prior to the incident of the Kuchiki’s extermination. Tuning out his pointless mumbling on hating footwear, she returned the nod he gave without a word. Even after gaining an equal position as his former superior, his nervous tendencies are apparent, but she would give no input. However, even after his poor greeting, Maho answered with gusto.
Now… who would be next? Honestly, she was disappointed that the Kagayaki boy wasn’t the first to arrive. A deep inhale, and upon his steps into their grounds, Kyomu Mukuro was the next to arrive. Without words or looks exchanged, he simply passes by the other two captains before sparing a look to her, and she followed with a gentle nod even as he passed by her with a cold expression of likeness. Clearly, he had no qualms… Just indignity.
Thinking back to when the former lieutenant would arrive, Higen Kagayaki finally showed his face, and even she could see the look in his eyes that held all of what the Shinigami-fanatic was feeling as his gaze rested on his testee. Her expression stayed stoic, however, upon the closing distance between them as he pushed past Maho and Tenzen, disrupting their conversation, she nearly snapped as she felt his hand rest against the top of her head. Her jaw moved, biting at her tongue to keep from snapping as she replaced anger with pain, letting him pass by without a word. Oh, she was going to put this man in a world of pain the moment that this meeting was over.
“Huuuuuh!?!? When did HEEE get here?!" Aah… If this man didn’t go into the hall within the next five seconds there’d be some serious misconduct against a captain. “Always so loud...” Like her, Yū Nakamoto was one to share her grievances against the obnoxiously loud captain of Ninth. The blond healer pokes and prods as he teases of the Captain Commander’s looming presence that hangs over their heads. Upon making eye contact with Yū, she can’t help but gaze in silent pride that the Fourth Division was in his hands. It would have suffered under her care, and she was far from being what they needed. “Wish us luck!”
Luck, huh? They needed everything. With the Commander, many things were unknown, much less unpredictable. Only he would know what would eventually happen. After all, his word was final in all aspects. She was simply here to uphold it, and keep unauthorized individuals from hearing it.

"OOOOOoooooooooooohhhh! Sugggoiiiiii!!!"
Tenzen is startled by this sudden outburst and expression from Maho as they weren't things he expected from the man. However, this revealed to Tenzen that Maho would be a difficult man to deal with, socially speaking of course as someone loud and outgoing like Maho would make his awkwardness skyrocket, like it's doing right this very moment.
"I... Uhh.."
"You know, you're a hard man to reach! I been tryna get a hold of you since you saved my Haori during the Kototsu incident."

The memory of that day comes back to Tenzen as he vividly remembers stopping Maho's Haori from hitting the ground. Respect for the Gotei 13 and its history are ingrained into this man so saving the Haori came somewhat as second nature to him. That vivid memory couldn't distract him too much from the man in front of him who's outgoing charisma was a bit infectious as when he started to smile Tenzen couldn't help but feel himself grinning as well, possibly going along with the flow was the best course of action with this situation.
"Bet you thought I forgot huh?? Heh! Thanks, Cap-"
"H-hey!?"

The Ninth Division Captain starts to extend his fist for a bump and Tenzen was ready to reciprocate the gesture when suddenly the massive frame of Captain Kagayaki intrudes between them halting their friendly banter.
"Captains."
Being overly analytical is what makes Tenzen socially awkward and what makes his mind sharp in battle. Right now though he notices that the Shining Captain made no attempt to glance his way. Tenzen knows not what Higen thinks of him and if he did what would he say? What would he do? Put simply, nothing, he wouldn't care as his job and the jobs of his fellow Captains are to protect and defend the Soul Society they don't have to like one another or be the best of friends so long as they perform their duties and their personal differences don't interfere with that all will be well, right? Tenzen followed the Tenth Division Captain with his eyes as he entered the hall and further ahead of him was Kyomu Mukuro, The Phantom.
"Huuuuuh!?!? When did HEEE get here?!"
Maho exclaims with Tenzen glancing back to him to see his over-exaggerated expression which actually made him laugh a bit before he composed himself once more. Yeah, being around Maho is going to be dangerous for Tenzen if he keeps that behavior up. Tenzen was also shocked that The Phantom slipped past both of them without knowing, silent and unsuspecting like a cool breeze. That is the very reason why the Second Division makes him so nervous when they are around, perhaps there is a way to better detect their approach regardless of their stealthy ways... An idea for a new spell may have just been born from this single thought. The youngest of the group finally arrives muttering to himself about his observations which causes Tenzen to look towards the Hall where the Commander awaits. Why is everyone so tense about being in the presence of the Commander? The question doesn't get much time to linger as Captain Nakamoto interrupts the thought by speaking out to the Oda.
“Glad to see you back, Captain Oda. Especially after… all that happened.”
Captain Nakamoto was probably the easiest person to talk to out of all the people has conversed with, excluding his family. Perhaps he understands the Captain's social awkwardness or maybe that's just the way he is with everyone.
"Thanks, I'm happy I can no say with confidence that it will take more than that to kill me."
He chuckles a bit after his statement finishes understanding that even if he did survive that event that it is still a bold claim to make, a bit of humor on his part albeit a bit dry. Nakamoto makes his way inside and Tenzen follows suit, hands hidden inside his Shihakusho. As he made his way into the hall the Captain felt... nothing, he didn't feel a sense of nervousness, dread, or any negative emotion nor feeling about standing before the Commander. He was empty of mind and of spirit, the grinning and laughing ends here as it is time to get serious. His top eyelids drop slightly, his brown eyes under them seem to gaze at something distant yet gaze at nothing, he has important information to report to the group and it shall be reported without an ounce of awkwardness hindering his voice.
