“The mind of a reporter never rests. If you believe the Commander will even entertain your interrogation, or offer you any sort of justification.. there’s still much to learn Young Maho. It’s best to just continue with your report."
"I have to agree with that, I'm sure that everything Murasaki-sama does has a more than solid purpose behind it."
Maho's stance does not change in the slightest. His gaze falls to change from person to person, at least noticeably.
Another Exhale of smoke is met with a pocket of silence.
"Yeah yeah..."
"I'm well aware of what Captain Murasaki can do. His answers will shut the most childish among us. Asking all these questions gives us nothing but a reason to bicker. I don't like having my time waste-"
“Is there even anything substantial to report from the 9th Division…?”
“All their Captain does anyways is smoke and write and smoke some more. I guess mass exterminating Rukongai citizens NEEDLESSLY and without GUILT could be added to that too, huh?”
Sigh. . .I guess you lack understanding huh, dumbass? In one ear and out the other eh? Yu cha ~"
He offers a simple jest, refusing to take it any further, for now. He draws in a cloud of smoke, allowing it to escape his mouth freely. He shakes his head.
". . .How simple-minded. . ."
Not everyone had the Eye of the Dragon. Their scope limited Yu's eyes were clouded by the light. Kyomu's caught within the Haze of Shadow. Even Higen, blinded by his own sense of duty and prejudice. Maho could only curl his lip. But this is who they were. Not everyone could walk the middle path. Yin and yang were balance given shape and form. The ideology and symbology something many a soul clung to. But only a few saw both halves as a single whole. Maho had to remember who he was talking too. Maho saw all of their perspectives. He was not blinded by his pride. Or his loyalties. Or his emotions. All he wanted was truth in its rawest form. Nothing else, other than ones strength and will hold any validity.
"Honestly though; No There isn't.
I've dedicated my time to bolstering My divisions' Manpower. It has been... real... inconvenient chasing you all around for information during the last few months. So. . ."
"I'll be dissolving the Ninth divisions entire rank structure and startin' from the ground up. I've personally handpicked a number of Shinigami from the third division and Shino academy over the last few years. My final transfers have arrived today."
He brushes his hand through a few of his locs, then returns his hands to the pockets of his Haori.
"Once we done' here, I'm returning to my training.
Same as I did when Kyomu turned his blade on the Commander.
Same as I'll do tomorrow.
He clenches his fist as it remains burrowed in his pocket. His knuckles pop as his grip tightens.
Should another catastrophe drop on my doorstep, I'll have the manpower to swiftly assess, intercept and handle whatever it may be.
I must prepare twice as much, considering when the times come, all of you will somehow be...'busy' "
. . ."That's it from me. . ."
Anything else was irrelevant to Maho. The others would do their jobs and so would he, for the sake of balance. Yu's childish attempt at striking back at Maho missed the mark. He would have to try harder than that. An eccentric personality such as the Dragons was rock solid in resolve. So long as the world was ruled by strength, Yu was just another step under his feet. One he allowed standing tall out of respect. But do not get it twisted.
Maho is about his Honor. He was sure Yu kept the most glaring of his statements to himself. He knew better than to do the most, especially here. Ah well
These ain't problems he want no way...
