Following his departure from the Lieutenant’s hall, the use of flash-step is evident by the sudden disappearance of Lieutenant Suta. The once smiling swordsman moves with focus hidden behind his eye-lids and finds himself outside of the 1st Division Barracks. He spends little time there as his second step propels him into another flash-step, this one landing him at the entrance of his own barracks. Upon his arrival, the posted Shinigami are caught by surprise with their eyes growing too big to fit on their skulls. Realizing who it was they are quick to bow, showing their respect.
” L-Lieutenant Suta! Welcome back sir!”
A subtle smile appears briefly, but they receive no response, just the air moving past them as he passes them by. His casual steps take him directly towards the Senkaimon gates where his senses catch onto two spiritual signatures, Takashi and Himari. No doubt they are alerted by his own spirit energy, but the announcement of his arrival travels fast. Before too long, their physical appearance came within his sight. While he stands oblivious to the situation within the world of the living, he’d miss the arrival and departure of the 13th Division, faces he hasn’t seen for so long… No matter, there were far more pressing matters that needed to be handled and already he thinks of both Takashi and Himari’s assistance in handling at least one.
Before he continues stepping towards them, he stops, reaching into his Shihakusho to pull out his Soul Phone that was placed on silent during the meeting. He made sure to maintain his awareness of Kiku ever since he was sent out to the world of the living, and by checking his phone he’d do just that to stay updated on his progress.
ALERT! ALERT! ALERT!
His screen was bright with big red letters, and such a notification prompted a slight opening of his own eyes. It seemed fitting, to find themselves in another heap of problems. With a simple movement of his thumb, he pressed a button to open up the notification entirely and proceeded to read the incoming message from Shinigami in the living world.
” Arrancar in Naruki? Hmmm.”
Lieutenant Suta replies quickly.
” Message received! Measures will be taken to prepare for your arrival!”
With the text sent another thing is added to his to-do list. He can only assume that the 10th Division will have gotten the alert as well, and that meant Lieutenant Kasumi is likely to send reinforcements or at least take measures to see to the survival of their squadmates. Once a member of 1st Division, and bearing the last name of the late Commander Kashuke Shunkan, Arashi expects Kiku to hold his own, and control the battlefield to the best of his ability until help arrives to even the odds. He has faith in his skill and battle prowess. With the sound of his phone closing, he starts walking towards the two gatekeepers. Slipping his phone back into his Shihakusho, he’d motion with a finger for four members of the 5th division to approach and follow.
” YES SIR,” they announced in unison!
” Takashi and Himari, hope you two are holding up well. These four will be in charge of protecting the gate and regulating the traffic from this point on. As for you two, we have other matters that need to be handled before you can resume your post. Follow me please.”
His attention moves from them to the four squad members.
” Remain alert and vigilant. We are awaiting members of 5th and Kiku Shunkan who are currently battling Arrancar and whatever other threats that have surfaced. A package is en route to the Soul Society as well and I will be sending members of Head Quarters back here to retrieve it.”
Once again they announce in unison. ” YES SIR!”
All four move quickly, positioning themselves to replace Takashi and Himari. With that partially taken care of, Arashi starts walking, his next destination being HeadQuarters respectfully.
” Two things, so listen closely. A member of the 11th was dispatched to Hueco Mundo a while back, his return involved the finger of a Hollow or a powerful Arrancar known as the God-King. To reveal its legitimate origin, it needs to be taken to 12th for analysis. This will be your job Himari. Once the analysis is complete, you will escort the finger to 1st Division at the request of Head Lieutenant Oki.“
His head turns towards Takashi and without opening his eyes still, he’d receive his orders as well.
” The southern area of the Rukongai, District 78, Inuzuri is under investigation in regards to the Kokotsu incident. You will head there immediately to survey the area within a 50 to 100-mile radius. I will be there soon enough with a group of the Kido Corps to begin preparations for securing the area.”
With his head turning towards the southeastern side of the Seireitei, he’d speak once more before their departure.
” Oh and before I forget Himari, once you arrive in 12th, please let Mr. Kurotsuchi and a group of his specialists know that Squad Five is making preparations in the 78th district; we will need their intelligence to uncover how the Kokotsu was able to leave the Dangai and enter the Soul Society. I am pretty sure he's interested in trying to uncover that story. Now then, let's go, Headquarters is our destination first.”
With flash-step, and Himari likely to be close behind they’d head over to the Kido Corps to embark on their task and complete them without fail.
