Signy watched as her husband accepted his receipt and walked off to wait for her somewhere away from Lt. Shusuke. Her attention quickly snapped back to the lieutenant as he expressed his condolences about her captain’s passing. A wistful smile stretched across her lips as she accepted her receipt.
”Thank you, lieutenant. I’m sure Atsuko will do her best with our division.”
As she turned to leave, she bowed back to Junko as a show of appreciation for performing the autopsy on such short notice. With that, she hurried off to join her husband only to reach him as he seemed to be caught off guard by someone’s reiatsu signature and voice. Curious, Signy turned to see who had just approached the Kiyoshi, only to see the former head lieutenant. Her eyes shifted back to Elk. Why would he be so nervous around her? Was there something he hadn’t told her about his life before they met? As she opened her mouth to ask, he vanished into a shunpo.
Letting out a sigh, Signy wormed her way through the crowd toward her brother Vali’s candy stand. A line at least 50 people long had already formed at this candy stand alone. With a chuckle, she slipped behind the stand and filled a bag with an assortment of chocolates, taffy, and konpeito as Vali served their customers. As she tied off the bag, Vali waved her wallet that she’d left in his care two weeks ago in her face.
”How’d you know I’d even show up today?”
She stuck her tongue out at him as she retrieved her wallet from him.
”Honestly, I expected either you or Oyama to participate in the games. But, I also know you would never miss a chance to watch captains beat the shit out of each other.”
Signy couldn’t help but grin. Of course Vali knew her well enough to know that, they were the only Hoshi children with only a couple of years between their ages. Without another word, she wrapped her arm around him in an awkward hug and skittered off into the crowd. Glancing around, Signy let out another sigh. She couldn’t see Elk anywhere, and presumably, he was still wearing that damned hat. Before she could voice her frustration, she sensed his reiatsu flare up and raced directly toward it.
Skidding to a stop beside Elk, Signy dropped the bag of candy into his lap and pulled that ridiculous hat off him. She placed a kiss on his cheek as she plopped down beside him.
”Might be easier to see without that thing.”
She perked up as two cannons went off and the Captain Commander began to announce who would be fighting against whom. Her heart sank, she would definitely be losing money today since Nibui would be fighting against Yu and Hiroka was set to fight against Omoni. At least she could still hold out hope of making some money off of betting on Tenzen. Her disappointment didn’t last long though because Captain Hageshi was raring and ready to go. Excited, Signy perched herself up on Elk’s shoulders to get a better view, holding his hand to help balance herself, as Omoni combusted into blue flames.

”Let’s go, Captain Hageshi and Captain Yugure!!”

"Yasu, cease this! I went to go find you on more civil conditions but instead hit a dead end with your Lieutenant. Now is not the time for this!"
Eventually, she manages to stop after growing bored of poking at the taller shinigami, proud to be able to still get under his skin. Soon after, her attention falls to the ground below. Yasu feels the rush of air sweeping beneath her feet and she looks down, seeing the dust and scraps of paper slipping in between her legs and rushing past behind her. And if not for the wind, then the sound of two cannons setting off and letting confetti fly above their heads would surely get the attraction of participants and of the watchers. From the mess made, the Captain-Commander arrives, his voice booming as he asks--
“WHO’S READY FOR THE KENPACHI GAMES!??”
He garners the sound of thunder from the audience as they answer the Commander in gusto. Yasu clicks her tongue, comically turning her nose up as Higen went about the contents of the games and just how the following ten participants would be separated. If she hadn’t chosen to participate at the end, they could have had three even groups, but what kind of person would she be if she didn’t exist to tip the odds? She looked towards each named participant as they became separated into their groups while she and three others would end up facing one another.
She manages to quickly scan over Hiroka, Omoni, and Shinotori. She had somewhat of a collective instance on what Hiroka was capable of in the hand-to-hand department, and the same went for Omoni. It was the least that she could have done in preparation for the games when it came to using her best-suited combat against her opponents. The only entity she didn’t have much on was Shinotori, but that was due to his unspoken application. To be completely fair, she hadn’t known he’d existed, even during her time in the Second Division, but it was perhaps after she’d left that he’d been admitted there. It was an unsightly match-up, and perhaps she was at a disadvantage here…
Yet the same could be said for her opponents.
Omoni lights two cigars and Yasu tilts her head slightly, using any memory of them crossing paths to remember the significance of these, especially if she were using two. Regardless of whether she remembered or not, those would have to go. Omoni Hageshi had a small memory bank, managing to recall names and faces just barely, even of those closest to her, but her combat prowess was impeccable. Yasu would have more than enough trouble going head-to-head with her, especially with the knowledge allotted to her from personal experience and the reports taken down from prior missions, such as the Togabito incident. A monstrous of a woman, and perhaps what will be the biggest obstacle in this group.
Hiroka Ikari was also a pest, but a hothead all the same unless he managed to grow from that mindset after all of these years. He had quite the stamina build, one that could possibly outlast her if she wasn’t careful. The poking and prodding were for more than just annoying him. Clearly, his body had changed after all of these years, and after not having seen him for so long, this was as close as she could have probably gotten to observing him much closer than anyone could have in a tournament such as this. Whatever this wrap was that covered his torso would be much more annoying than she could ever be if she was careless.
Shinotori Hitsugaya… She had nothing.
Her attention wavers and then fall back on the Commander as he gives his final parting words to the fighters.
“I wish you all the best of luck, but there can only be one Kenpachi!”
She didn't know whether it was plain luck that she had managed to stay in the Rukongai, but regardless of that, the show would go on as she adjusted the microphone that stick to her skin-tight top, hidden from sight, but by gods would the people get a show that they wanted. Yasu would still play the role of commentator, even in the midst of battle. Before parting, she had gotten one of her subordinates to send messages to both Shusuke and Kazumi. Shusuke would leave Uzu to the betting pool and manage coverage from the Rukongai to give his commentary play-by-plays with Group Two that consisted of Mukuro - Oda - Kusotare, and Kazumi would cover Group One that held Oki - Ueki - Nakamoto. She would manage her own fight, even to her opponents' chagrin.
"Here we go..."
Beneath their feet and around them are walls of wind that hinder their sight from those standing outside of it as each team gets separated and transported to their respective designated areas. The four of these individuals have landed in the 78th District of the East Rukongai, Ichirin (一輪; One Flower), a vale of an endless swamp in the furthermost reaches of the Rukongai. Each arena has been littered with The Commander’s crystals to help absorb any ambient Reiatsu, as fights of this caliber could cause the very dimensions themselves to shake and rattle. Yasu feels the cool water pool around her ankles and she feels a sudden rush through her body. Familiarity entices her as this place had been where she had first sensed Kurosawa's presence. It seemed as though the odds were in her favor and she manages to gather the situation very quickly. This was a setting strongly suited to her abilities heavily, and if she weren't to use it to her advantage, it'd be a waste.
“LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!”
"We're currently in the Eastern Rukongai's 78th District, Ichirin, and Omoni Hageshi has started off with a-- WOAH!"

7ac2be2a3c65dc69ebeeee80aa046b46.png

Omoni is very quick to start, shouting at the top of her lungs as she released her reiatsu into the open, surrounding herself in wild, blue flames, and in tandem came the wordless release of her zanpakuto and the vicious assault to follow that sent the ground beneath them to part the waters and scatter the surrounding greenery into the air only to have that fall back to the earth. These enormous spikes dwindled her in size, and compared to the majority, she was rather small in stature. Nonetheless, she would respond accordingly after her exclamation. Hiroka had made his way to get out of the way of Namikizu's wretched spikes that barreled towards him, moving farther from the initial zone and into the air to make that domain his own. Yasu instead raced her way into the center, drawing her blade out of its sheath in a fluid motion and seemingly parrying it against these spikes with no resistance, the weapon simply disappears without a trace, handle and all with a swipe unseen under the flurry of rushing spikes.
"Tsuihō!"
As the waves of muddied waters and trees continued to come crashing down, the backlash from the amount of pressure pushing back against from surface to surface sends these droplets of water and debris flying everywhere as Yasu weaves through the chaos of both Omoni's zanpakuto and the destruction made from it. Even Hiroka's violent release does nothing to deter her movements, the heat of his release scorching the grounds, but compared to the massive district, the area of destruction is easily replaced by the surrounding bodies of water and marshes. The trees, while dwindling and some becoming incinerated, continue to provide coverage amongst the explosion, sending splinters flying everywhere. The dark muck sticks to the surface of Namikizu and its heavy spikes as it continues flailing about to create this unreachable zone, spreading the area of coverage to whatever it touches, even as large as it may be.
"Hiroka Ikari has responded with his own explosive tactics! I bet you guys can feel the heat of these attacks even from back at the Northern Gate... What a hothead."
The more these continue to fall and spread its destruction, the darker these grounds beneath them grow as Yasu does very little to attempt an immediate assault of her own during this time. More than confident that her stamina would be able to continue to avoid any form of assault coming from Namikizu, even with its massive size and speed, Yasu has taken on opponents larger than herself by multiple times, each of the gate guardians being a heavy example. After her crushing defeat during her captain's meeting, Yasu had come to the conclusion of perfecting her speed so that she could use it in tandem with her combat. Her mastery in the art of hoho is incomparable to the likes of the Fairy or the Phantom but does not diminish her own perfection to move as swiftly as she does, even with all of the restrictions on her body that she possesses daily for well over a century. The heat coming from Hiroka's attacks could be more than... bearable to say at the least. A century of taking vicious beatings from the captain-commander constantly has trained her body to take drastic amounts of damage when it comes to physical attacks, and thermal and spiritual attacks are no different after the many years of Tenzen's kido assaults during said training.
"I suppose he wasn't all talk in his interview."
1ef55ee935b0ffcfb34ba0542ae31462.png

The showing of power was not something Captain Yugure was attuned to. A product of the Phantom's training as well as her former second division teachings, proficiency stood above all strength, power, and skill. In order to take down her opponents, rather than having to face them head-on, she'd have to adjust accordingly by waiting for the right moment to strike. Yasu possesses a general knowledge of two out of the three of those she was facing. Hidden beneath the chaos, the captain skids across the glossy surface of the marsh, rippling the waters as her hand slips into the murky depths and drags out what is the short handle of what her zanpakuto used to be. From it, a stream of black tendrils spill from the hilt and continue spilling into the ground beneath all of their feet. In all this time, Yasu has eliminated the ground as any form of saving grace for her opponents. She continuously moves to avoid the spikes, yet stays within all of Namikizu's range as it continues to rain hell in order to get its targets out with its massive size and speed. Well aware of its caster's position high above them, soon enough, the captains would be fated to face one another during this ordeal unless the other two had something to say about it.
"These two are absolute monsters... I wonder what Hitsugaya-san has to add to the fray."
Even with her commentary, Yasu would not add any of her own doings. If people were paying attention, they'd see everything if they paid close enough attention, but misdirection was something the Ninth Division Captain was more than capable of. Throughout the entire assault, Yasu appeared to be rather laid-back enough for the amount of commentary, but even she managed to be caught off-guard by the sheer power that Omoni had managed to display with one swing. Maybe those watching would imagine Yasu to be doing anything but taking this seriously, but such was not the case. Outside of the viewers, would the other three imagine her to be playing it safe and letting them fight amongst one another? Would either come to attack her once they manage to catch wind of her tactics? Would there be an unspoken alliance from the Eleventh Division? Is there a possible underdog? All of these questions race through her head as well as the viewers, and those questions can only be answered in due time.

Southwest - Rukongai
Suddenly Takashi appears in the middle of a street in Rukongai and around him are souls of all ages from all the districts. From the District 1 that is peaceful and lawful all the way to the violent and crime-infested District 80 areas. His sudden appearance surprised the souls on the street but only for a short while before they continued to move on. Takashi, who has only heard of the Kenpachi games from others, is now beginning to understand how important this game really is. Otherwise, all these souls would never have been in the same place at the same time.
Silently, Takashi begins his walk through the street towards the direction that is said to be where the games should be. Unfortunately, he received very little information about the area itself and the same goes for his job there more than being a guard at the games. Should he protect the candidates? No, it is not logical, he thinks, because those who are in the game are among the strongest soldiers in Gotei 13. Is he just there to increase security? Yes, that sounds logical to him. These are a few of the several thoughts that float around in his head as he continues to walk.
TakaFacepalm.png

While with each step he takes, he approaches the games and along the path, a pair of young souls run around him. They just seem to be kids and Takashi ignores them and tries to move on. BUT suddenly he feels how his zanpakuto makes a light movement and it turns out to be just one of the kids who happened to touch it. There was no feeling that anyone was trying to steal his weapon but Takashi thought the children were too close to him and stopped his walk. The child who touched his Zanpakuto looks up at him and is met by a cold look that shows that the man is starting to get annoyed.

”Go away before you run into problems that I promise you can not get out of."
Scared-Anime-Boy-And-Girl.png

Not a threat but a few words that are more made the children understand that they can not run around as they do. Takashi, who has difficulty talking to others, did not know how to express himself. Unfortunately, this led to him scaring the child more than he himself planned and the boy just looked up at Takashi in fear. The look the boy gave him was as if he were afraid for his life and the tears soon began to come running down his cheeks. Before Takashi got the chance to try to calm the boy, he and his friends ran away. Takashi, who did not mean to scare him to that level, could not help but follow them with his gaze while they disappeared among the crowd. With a sigh and a shake of his head, Takashi continues to walk towards the games.

Shinotori Hitsugaya
b35df29f58c27c96f012aa7238fc3970.png

“Let go of your earthly tether, enter the void, empty and become wind”
Remembering Makaze’s words as a lesson the young Shintori’s mind remained clear as he meditated peacefully. As the announcements began, he leaped down from the tree he once rested in as silent as a leaf falling from a tree. Landing in a hot zone, he stood before the three contestants whose names were called out in the same bracket to face each other, two of which both had been captain and one was the current Kenpachi. Knowing that Kenpachi Omoni was one of his opponents, he had no doubt that this battle was going to be a tough one. Still he remained headstrong and refrain from showing any emotion as usual, seeming as carefree as the wind itself. He had once heard that the captain of the ninth division had once been a part of stealth force, seeing her as captain made him wonder if it were possible for someone like him to become more than just an assassin. After training to get where he was now he eventually lost himself feeling bound to the second division unlike the free flowing wind. He lost what little ability he had to show emotion once becoming a full fledged assassin, not even fear seeped into the young man's heart. However, being a warrior of the shadows brought the young Hitsugaya even closer to his true potential as he had to first learn to become void of all emotions. After learning to become tranquil Shino, it was only then that he was finally able to learn the name of his Zanpaktou despite having a zan with a constant released state.
“I wish you all the best of luck, but there can only be one Kenpachi!”
After the Captain Commander spoke his last words, Omoni yelled out
“ LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!”
One could easily tell that Omoni was excited for this tournament as she immediately began to release her reiatsu at a monstrous level obliterating almost everything around her that could not withstand the force of her power. One could easily tell that Captain Hageshi was fired up about this tournament. Her strong stature and personality could intimidate post people except those who believed in their own strength or those who were too simpleminded to acknowledge when they are outclassed.
As the fighting began the brute Omoni wordlessly released her Shikai, revealing a club with spikes which began to pursue her opponents. As everyone acted to defend themselves Shinotori, made sure to familiarize himself with each of their reiatsu signatures before he would vanish from sight by the usage of shunpo. However the young Hitsugaya would make use of the falling debris to leaping from larger pieces of rubble and trees to propel himself until he was over one hundred feet in the air. He swiftly made his way into the sky while eluding not only a spike from Namikizu but a barrage of explosions caused by Hiroka’s shikai, Shino was concerned about how much destructive power his opponents possessed he'd make plans to contniue this battle with extreme caution. Despite being in the air Shinotori noticed the spike from Namikizu had been very persistent and continued to follow him into the sky aiming to impale him.
“Hpmh”
Without moving a single muscle the never ending cyclones surrounding both his fists were now visible and had resonated with each other and began to aggressively circle intertwining with each other around Shinotori creating a grinding/repulsive force of wind that formed a barrier that could repel almost anything within four feet in any direction of the user. As the spike from Omoni’s Zanpakuto connected with said repulsive force it would in fact connect without being repelled however just before the attack connected the wind following the speed of said weapon would be absorbed into repulsive barrier adding to it’s speed and power boosting the constant grinding force of the wind barrier which would begin to dull and create a very small crack at the tip of Namikizu’s spike. How one would ask and it was due to the speed of these winds being well over eighty mile per hour, this also allowed the young male to continuously float mid-air as the speed from the wind currents allowed him to defy gravity. Increasing his reiatsu output Shinotori would increase the speeds of said barrier one more time so that it may deflect the spike back towards Omoni herself.
After he was no longer threatened by an attack he would take the time to deactivate his barrier but continue to levitate as he focused his cyclones downwards to keep himself elevated as he observed his opponents that were still at ground level. He would take the time to use the bakudo spell known as Kyokko manipulating the particles of light around him to mask his physical and spiritual presence, he wanted to sit back for a moment as he noticed Yasu had yet to attack. He’d wondered what she might be capable of, she has yet to show her true nature despite her commentary, as a member of the stealth division Shino was trained to be a true assassin and learned to hear even the softest of whispers.

High in the sky, Hageshi closed her eyes and took in a single deep breath. The kind of breath taken through the nose and meant to provide the inhaler an immediate sense of relaxation upon exhaling. No such sensation remotely close to calm would visit Omoni that moment. In its stead, there was unbridled excitement leaking out of the fighting femme fanatic by way of her reiatsu, sweat and even her scent.
"We're currently in the Eastern Rukongai's 78th District, Ichirin, and Omoni Hageshi has started off with a-- WOAH!"
After opening her eyes, Hageshi began to really take it all in. Mountains of debris and rubble plummeted down from above as if it had been summoned from the heavens themselves. The wreckage connected with the earth thunderously whilst at the same time cued the scattering of her three opponents. Wild cerulean hues watched as Yugure charged fearlessly into Namakizu’s forest of flailing spines. An untamed smile stretched across her face now that she realized that Yasu was no doubt up to something that would keep the battle interesting in the end. Infact, in her experience, those capable of facing her developed sneaky plots and plans to deal with her more often than not. However, in these situations Omoni thoroughly encouraged her adversaries to take all courses of action they deemed necessary to bring her down. Traditionally, they did not get far but, Hageshi was always grateful that they tried their best.
“Hahaha!...Lookit’ ‘er go.”
Now, this was not to say that she was underestimating her friend. With underhanded tactics born in Yasu during her time as the second division’s lieutenant as well as a significant education pertaining to the functions, anatomy and limits of the body… It went without saying that Yugure was a formidable opponent anyone would be undeniably stupid to ignore.
"Tsuihō!"
"Hiroka Ikari has responded with his own explosive tactics! I bet you guys can feel the heat of these attacks even from back at the Northern Gate... What a hothead."

On the other hand, one of her own looked to have sparked to life in the blink of an eye! Until now, Captain Hageshi had not had the opportunity to get a good look at what her fourth seat could do. Setting off a symphony of torrential explosions was Ikari’s way of kicking things off and with them, a wave of broiling heat which caused the muck to bubble, the trees to wither and the rocks to melt. This was short-lived once the fire met it’s natural enemy the water and fought the losing battle to which it was accustomed. It was not until Namakizu’s familiar grumble that she realized the burst prince had done something else.
“ That little SHIT touched ME?! Tied somethin’ ta’ me! What’s that brat think I am?! A COW?! ”
“ Oh yea? Huh! How ‘bout that!”
“ DOES HE THINK I’M A COW?!?!”

Hageshi’s grin widened at the notion that Hiroka had left her a parting gift once he’d gained his desired distance. Even though she couldn’t see what it was that tethered the two, it hardly mattered to Omoni. Yards above the inferno, she had been free from the combustion's torrid direct heat from the beginning, not that it would have bothered her. Heat was not something that his Captain was unfamiliar with, rather it was something that Omoni embraced and enthusiastically shared with those who crossed her path off and on the battlefield. Her very reiatsu boasted the shape of flames from a fire that burned through time, experience and tragedy. Without a doubt, she would have been able to withstand his explosion’s calidity, no, she would have been able to bathe in it and would likely find it lackluster in comparison to her own. Although it was certainly impressive unsealed, her’s scorched to a much higher degree. Of course, she wondered if they had a conversation about it would he disagree? As far as she was concerned he was more than welcome to prove her wrong. He was invited to.
Without a doubt, it was never recommended to turn one’s back to a foe. It was dumb and asking for trouble yet, it was a recurring instance for Omoni Hageshi. Even during the most fervent of fights, Hageshi had a tendency to become sidetracked. Anything could garner her attention if it was interesting enough. One moment someone could be eye to eye with her and the next she’d be fraternizing with another enemy cheering them on so that they might join in effectively making what was initially a one versus one to a two versus one. When this happened it wasn’t uncommon for her to suffer a few blows to her back that she’d left completely open. To them, she was an idiot. To her, they were dumber than she was. Most of the time, none of the attacks left a mark. Each scar on her tattered body was a testament not to what she had been through but a spot reserved only for the fiercest of enemies that had failed yet managed to leave her a reminder of a thrilling battle. Each of the gashes in her flesh is a reminder not for herself but for others that she walked away from each encounter stronger than before.
"These two are absolute monsters... I wonder what Hitsugaya-san has to add to the fray."
“Huh?”

It just so happened that something or rather someone had distracted the beast.

If there was one thing that she couldn’t overlook, it was how badly her challengers performed. Unless it was a hollow and incapable of speech, Omoni would badger them. She’d poke, prod and taunt whoever was earning her distaste. It only took one look for Hageshi to ascertain that the unknown anomaly Hitsugaya was off. No, no no it was all wrong! This wouldn’t work. Not for her. The others didn’t deserve it either! Having made a decision, Omoni lifted her left leg and with it, Namakizu rose up as well. A single spine in the earth’s crust extended her another five feet into the air. Standing on the tip of the tallest, Omoni struck a spike near by causing the entirety of the club to rapidly spin in place below her. The tentacles spun alongside it like the wings of windmill or the propeller of a human aircraft. Anything in their path was cut down and flung outward toward the boundaries of the environment. This included the rocks, trees and marsh that surrounded her for those who chose to remain just out of reach to contend with.
At the same time, the Tentacle that had pursued Shinotori was undeterred by his underwhelming pressurized wind. It’s untouched soul iron proceeded to snatch the man out of the air and wrap around his body tight enough to ensure that he was immobilized with only his ears, eyes and mouth available to him to pay homage to the God glowering down at him that had landed on the same extension only inches from him. Anger had swelled inside of Hageshi until it erupted when the great woman bellowed.
e2bd099816f70e8533e6c5f80f811605.png

“ WHAT IN THE HELL DO YA THINK’ YER’ DOIN?!”
The centrifugal force ranging up to two hundred miles per hour from the hysteric spinning would have made movement that much more impossible for him but Hageshi appeared to take the ride rather well with her long brown hair waving in the winds at her back. In her eyes was genuine concern as well as evident irritation. Did this kid think the whole thing a joke!? Against anyone in a fight to the death it was paramount that one was at the very least prepared to hold their own. This kid…
“ Yer’ not gonna get’ anywhere like that! If ya can’t overpower or block an attack then ya at least gotta get outta the damn way!”
Whether he wanted to or not, Shinotori would listen to her. One of the more exasperating things about that woman was that she went out of her way to loudly exclaim when her enemies were messing up. The way she saw it, there was always time to teach so long as the student was alive. Indisputably, the Captain could kill him now however, contrary to popular belief, that wasn’t Hageshi’s style. It was never for the adversary, it was always for herself. After all, there was nothing fun about a short squabble. The scars that covered her were evidence that she made decisions that would ensure the fight stretched on, even giving her opponent time and opportunity to land their attacks had they not been given one at the start. The brute needed to satiate her craving for conflict so badly that she had even been known to heal her opponents and like with Hitsugaya, tell them how they did something wrong then clash with them once more hoping that they had improved in time for the next round. Not that she was incapable of it, she didn’t favor taking the lives of others.
Satisfied that she’d properly reeducated him, Omoni made her next move. This time, she sent Shinotori flying like a rocket in the direction of Hiroka whom depending on his reaction was either being flung around by his lead in circles at breakneck speeds making movement severely difficult or unable to keep a hold of Namakizu and forced to remain on the outskirts to avoid her twister.
“ HERE! TRY IT ON HIM!”
At this point, he’d have been better off submitting and giving up unless he got his shit together and fast. Barreling toward her division member, he had been given just this option. Would he throw up the white flag, possibly saving his skin or did he possess the desire to see it all through? To pick up his arms and take what she had told him and face Hiroka Ikari? Would he be a challenge for the explosive man or would Hiroka turn him into ash and finally join in on the festivities?! So much could happen but Hageshi would leave that to Ikari so what would they show her? With Shinotori well on his way to his designated rival, it was now her chance to get a hold of her fellow Captain Yugure.
Fraught with jovial gusto, Hageshi propelled herself through the air cutting through it like a knife back into Namakizu’s spin cycle. Even as it spun, her descent was unhindered and so she’d arrive before Yasu instantly as if she had been aware of the pink haired female’s location amongst the chaos the whole time. The latter was true for Omoni had been afforded greater sensory abilities as a result of smoking her cigars at the start of the competition. Naturally, she had no other inclination as to just what Yasu had been doing hidden away but nevertheless she’d kept track of the elusive narrator’s location.
“ Found ya!”
Managing to jump her way to safety in the wings of Namakizu would have been unlikely, especially if the Zanpakuto’s sudden spiraling had taken Yasu by surprise. If she had become caught on a single spike trying to maintain her ground or composure then that was where Hageshi would make her landing and connect a brutal fist to the other captain’s skull. This would have the power to stun her and send her flying into the rows of spines waiting to viciously ricochet her body amongst them.
“Tch!”
Infuriatingly, through it all Omoni could clearly feel that there was a harness on her Reiryoku no doubt put on her to keep a general control over how much of it she would utilize. ‘ Damn you, old man.’ It just didn’t make sense to her. What was the big deal?! If they got real hurt she could just put ‘em back together again. Guess it couldn’t be helped. In spite of it all, The sound, the sound! THE SOUND! It was music to her ears! It was food for the starving! Unfortunately for her competition, a couple of disappointing spars as of late had left her beyond starved.
