Katsuo Oda, the man who smiled at Saiko as if everything would be okay. Though was everything really okay? After all, Saiko got back from the world of living to being dragged in a mess on what Katsuo clearly made. She heard her lieutenant speak to her calm as ever. This made Saiko feel more at ease when she saw his famous smile of his.
”It'll be alright. Just listen to them and don't try anything, you'll be just fine”
Taking the words to the heart, she decided to listen to him as if it was an order given. She smiled back at Katsuo just before she felt some muscular arms around her left arm, making sure she was secured and could not make a possible escape, She obeyed with the men and moved along with them in perfectly, she looked back at the scene to see if she could see what was happening with Katsuo.
Her eyes went into shock at the sight she saw through the gaps of some blades from the men surrounding Katso. Katsuo being bound by cuffs made out of a special material, as well as seeing his Zanpakuto being seized, this must be serious but bare in mind. Her lieutenant was in a noble clan, Oda. This must hurt the Oda clan’s rep to see one of their members being taken to custody. She decided to turn her head back around to the front and tilted it down.

As Saiko’s head was down, where she hoped none of the men noticed she had a slight smirk on her face. It wasn’t an evil smirk, in fact it was just a normal smirk, under her breath she whispered to herself, her heart beating quite fast as she spoke.
“Stay Safe Lieutenant Oda.”

She knows better than anyone else that what she was doing was foolish. Yet, she cannot stop herself at this moment. Instead, the people of Kuroari continue to face her spiritual pressure. Creaking bones and broken limbs soon become a symptom developed from just a couple of seconds of her Reiatsu application. Unlike the residents of the district, the two behind her are not subject to such a strong force. Even in her anger, the area around them is heavy, yes, but not as devastating as it is towards those that she has begun to wrongfully loathe. Her screams continue to fill the air along with her energy, the two working hand in hand. With each sound let out, it feels as if the weight continues to increase. For someone like Lieutenant Ise, such a display of rage is more than uncommon. If anything, it was never thought to even be possible. No, she was far too composed. Aside from her interesting sense of humor and perversion, she was a kind soul that sought to protect those she cared about. Despite this desire to protect everyone she could, she was now hurting them. Volatile emotions had brewed up until this point. Often, one believes that a singular emotion is felt by a person making such a strong expression in the way the Ise matriarch was doing. This is an err in judgment. Atsuko knows better than anyone else that emotions are like a lake—things rise to the surface, yes, but there is still so much more beneath whatever breaks through.
Sanyu and Shori were the people closest to her outside of Captain Asakura. Their relationship was one that she cherished more than anything else. There was no intent to harm them, however, if she continued on what could only be described as a form of a rampage, they were guaranteed to take damage similar to that of what the Kuroari residents were now experiencing. Thankfully, Sanyu and Signy were quick thinkers and they immediately sprung into action. A hand places itself on her shoulder and she still does not turn back. Ever strong, the emission of Reiatsu persists even while he speaks. She can feel his own emission of pressure, but it does not feel like an imposing presence. It is filled with love, yet an undeniable amount of grief.
"I know it's upsetting Lieutenant, but before we accuse the village of anything, let us do what we do best in the Rukongai and investigate… let us do what Captain would have wanted us to do, and put our emotions aside and rise up to the challenge and solve the mystery."
After the Komamura speaks, the Lieutenant is pulled into a warm embrace. Atsuko is extremely receptive to this hug, as she wraps both of her arms around her squadmate. Tears continue to flow from her face as she cries out loud, the pain in her voice is ever-present. This is a loss unlike any other that she has experienced. Not even her Father's death made her feel this way. Itsuki was a man that had taken her under his wing. Unlike those that viewed her only as a tool to be utilized in contingency plans, he had no care for what clan she came from. Priestess, matriarch, or anything in between meant nothing to him. Under his tutelage, he had taught her how to handle herself and refined her skills even further. Such a thing was thought to be impossible before meeting him. There was no doubt in her mind that a peak had been reached which she could not progress past. Such a way of thinking limited her skills. And such a limit was broken by the only other father figure she had had within her life. Still hugging Sanyu, her Reiatsu's presence begins to thin, but still does not permit the people of the district to raise from the ground. Those within the 7th would find that they could raise from the ground, yet they would not be able to stand entirely quite yet. Words begin to dance on her ears once more as the warmth of her consoling squadmate continues to flow into her.
"We are the dogs of the Rukongai, we are a pack, we stick together, through thick and thin. We stick out for the little guys and protect the weak… the People of Kuroari and the spirit of our Captain need us to be level-headed, for the mission ahead Lieutenant… calm yourself. It'll be okay…"
There was nothing but the truth within the words spoken. The Lieutenant was not upholding the title that had been bestowed upon her in good faith. To sully such a thing would only disrespect the honor of 7th and the honor of her late Captain. Those within Kuroari were not at fault for what happened. And even if they were connected somehow, surely there was a reason for their actions. Such a thing would not happen easily, nor unwarranted. More than anyone else, she knew that Itsuki had terrorized the Rukongai. All too often did she find herself playing damage control. While serving under him, she had failed to realize that such tactics of "good cop, bad cop" were not acceptable and they failed to work. People forced to obey an absolute dictator were bound to bear resentment towards such a person and those related to him. If anything, it was only right of them to feel as they did. It was time for the Seventh to ensure that the citizens of the Rukongai were treated better. Instead of instilling fear into the residents, she made the conscious decision to give these people hope. The district they were currently in would be the first one they would save. A familiar tone reaches her ears as her Reiatsu has almost died down entirely, but still lingers enough for Signy to make her stop. The physical stress had vanished, but her effect of Anxiety still lingered. Such a feeling was enough to make one sick and more uncomfortable than the physical pain caused by her pressure.
”How pathetic! If this is how you are going to behave over the death of a weak man, then you don’t deserve the title of Lieutenant, let alone to be the head of your family! That haori you hold meant nothing the moment its wearer died face down in the muck!”
She was right, the moment the man died, the Haori had gone with him. For a fraction of a second, the thought had crossed her mind to give the mantle meaning again. By her own admission, she did not feel worthy, nor ready quite yet. A piece was missing from her arsenal that had yet to be developed. In due time, she would lead the 7th in a much grander way—as its Captain. With her own will and intentions separate from that of Captain Asakura. If she couldn't stop throwing her fit of rage, then Signy was right—she didn't deserve the title of Lieutenant.
”Now, stop throwing your childish tantrum. These things happen in life, Atsuko. No point dwelling on those who put on an air of strength and superiority only to lie in the mud when all is said and done.”
Another barrage of words begins to pummel the Lieutenant as the area becomes lighter around them. The residents can now stand and those of the Seventh have been able to do so for a longer period than those not trained in the ways of the Shinigami. Quite the loud crack reaches her ears as her eyes snap open, leading them to see Signy breaking the corpse's femur. Instead of moving into action, she understands that such a thing has been done to gain her attention. The embrace shared between her and Sanyu continues, and Atsuko understands now more than ever that all that is left is the corpse of their Captain. His soul has left his mortal shell and there is no way to bring him back. A soft tone with a slight tremble comes from the Ise's voice as she finally speaks instead of simply listening.
"I have people that I want to bring back, too... Hundreds of them. Not just the Captain." Her breathing is rigid as she continues to speak, her words echoing throughout the ears of those around her.
"Even before I joined the Seventh Division, I've always had to say farewell to those I cared for. I know this is impossible, but we have to accept this. Sometimes, you won't be able to keep yourself sane." Another tear falls from her right eye and finds itself on her cheek. The trembling within her tone is replaced by grief and understanding.
"It's tough... It's so very tough. I know that. Even so, we have to keep moving forward."
Finishing, she closes her eyes once more as a couple more tears flow out. Breaking away from Sanyu, she wipes her face and faces the people that she had just threatened. The once deadpan violet hues have regained their light along with a noticeable tinge of pain. Slowly, the woman makes her way to the ground, sitting on her knees. Both arms come forward along with her hands as she places her head on the ground in front of the residents of Kuroari. Pressing her head into the ground while maintaining this position, she expresses her utmost apologies for her actions.
"I take full accountability for my actions. You may not believe me, but going forward I will ensure that this district is reconstructed and that the hardships you all have had to face will end. Kuroari will be restored and its name will no longer be associated with tragedy."
While still on the floor bowing, Atsuko also appears next to Signy. Although she was intent on picking up the Captain prior to her Lieutenant's display, the Ise would take over this job for her. This was not done out of spite, nor out of distrust. Knowing what must be done, she would have to be the one to present to the body to the Commander. As she pulls the Captain's corpse into her arms and stands once more, the image of her bowing begins to fade. Even with her display, she also noticed that there was something else brewing in the Rukongai. While the presence was intense, it was not an unfamiliar one. She knew that it was not something that had to take priority over what she needed to report.
"We must head back to the Seireitei and report our findings to the Captain Commander. Meet me at the gate, please, and we will then head over to the Commander."
If one of them tried to reach out for her, they would find their hands going right through her image. It would become clear that she had already made her way to the gate in one swift and calculated step. While waiting for them, she did not speak to the guard. It was clear that she was holding a body with a Haori draped over it. Little explanation was needed, but once Sanyu and Signy arrived, there would indeed be one given.
What a tragic day.

Sanyu stands and listens to Signy and His Lieutenant, all the more looking down. Did they not know that his father was one of the three 7th division members killed by Enso Aikawa? So many nights hoping his father would come home safe, and his family's nightmares realized in one short night.
"Lieutenant… at least you got to say your Farewell… I never had that chance with my father. He joined the 7th division the same day he was killed… it was… it was Captain Itsuki, who showed me I can start where my father left off, and finish his dream of creating a better place for souls to come home to. I'm not going to give up, I'm going to keep going. Won't you keep going with me?"
Once he said that, and she said to meet with the head Capitan and inform the others of what had happened, sanyu gave off a nod, and waves the other Division 7 members down.
"You heard our Lieutenant fellas, secure the crime scene, let nobody but 7th members in unless the head captain says otherwise. The rest of you check the surrounding areas for Survivors, and rescue them… you, group 3, provide assistance and move civilians to a safer District and location to be looked over by medical staff if needed later.
Sanyu got to work, and looked to Signy and Atsuko.
"I'll stay and look after things, Lt. Atsuko. No worries, I will defend our members with my life, and protect What is left of Kuroari. Please, Hurry back."

What a fiasco. Akarui was never one for theatrics, always wanting things to end as quickly as they can with minimal amount of damage if it calls for it, but the two people before her were two of the most stubborn individuals. Kyomu Mukuro acts on behalf of duty; Honoka Oki acts on behalf of instinct. Akarui is stuck in the middle of two immovable objects and she feels as though her passive nature would soon expire. Neither are conceding, and the Oki’s further insistence in keeping the child within the compound earns a negative reaction as Kyomu cleaves a path with his phantom blade to split apart the crest that proudly rested atop the gated arch and it only causes Akarui to release a long exhale through her nose.
“The woman and child will both return with me to the Seireitei to go before the Commander. Do not disgrace yourselves further, this is not something the Oki can barter or negotiate their way around. Come quietly....or I will cut through every single Oki here until not a single one is left breathing. There is much to be answered for.”
Akarui observes in silence when a foreboding presence makes itself known. Having been in Honoka’s shadow, quietly observing, Akarui has never once taken the aggressive approach since she’d first been assigned to observe the Oki Matriarch, always having been aware of the differences the two women had between one another, time and patience being two of the most significant factors. Time to do the most, patience to learn the most, Akarui was always one to do her best, but her patience was always weary and time had always felt too short when it came to everything. Her time in observation was cut short by the actions provoked by the Central 46 upon Kyomu’s impression. Under the direct orders of the Captain Commander, Akarui was set to observe and keep tabs on the Oki woman. While most would place their bets on the former head lieutenant due to seniority and experience, not all rain is beneficial to their growth.
The gentle sounds of fluttering and crunching as these leaves and petals begin to rain upon them, carefully making contact with these intruders and Akarui gently sways out of the path of those that come close to her, naturally enough to show the subtlety in her movement. She was well aware of just how powerful the Oki was in influencing the greenery that surrounded them, having once already shown her display of prowess until the intervention of the former Matriarch. Why these floating leaves and petals would be any different would not be up for argument as she intends to keep any form of contact with these things. These once clear grounds were now becoming littered in these things when they take their forms and appear, coiling around the many intruders too foolish to have avoided them prior, whether it be out of fear of provoking the fugitive or earning the ire of their captain for breaking formation.

“I have no intentions of fighting, Captain Mukuro.”
Honoka says this yet the display of simply constricting the unwanted party could easily be seen as an act of aggression and defiance to her arrest. Akarui catches the Oki’s glance and shakes her head as she then makes her way towards the children, kneeling down to face them properly and addressing them both. “I need you boys to stick together. You will walk with me, quietly and stay by my side at all times. Masahiro, you can not be with your mother, or things will become much more difficult, do you both understand?” She speaks with no room for argument. Haruki understands and nods in response. Masahiro shows hesitance, but eventually complies. Even against the word of Honoka, Akarui no longer has the choice to act in such a passive attitude anymore. From here on, Akarui Gekko acts on behalf of the Gotei Thirteen. Even as Honoka moves towards the gate, the third seat, with children in tow, clinging and clutching the skirt of her shihakusho. They both stand opposite of Honoka as Akarui comes to her side and then comes to stop her in her tracks, those emerald orbs locking onto the woman with a clear conviction in her stance.
"I believe Captain Commander's waited long enough."
“At this point, he can stand to wait longer."

Akarui stares up at the amazon woman, whose features are beginning to wither with time and stress of raising the child in solitude and protecting him from the world they knew, yet even she should have been aware that even that would come to an end. The boy needed to be aware of his origins, even if it put a target on his back. Knowledge of his current status would prepare him for those who may have the audacity to approach him with ill intentions. Haruki was placed in the same situation as the son of the current Commander, but the only difference was that neither mother nor child were labeled as fugitives. If Honoka were to truly care for the boy, taking him before the Commander would be the best course of action. The knowledge of the boy was already known to outsiders, the Oda boy being a clear indication that nothing was sacred and the boy's safety was already jeopardized by individuals such as him. Then came the Mukuro, who, if he chose to, could have turned the house red with blood, even at the expense of his own men as was displayed nearly a century ago.
“You're making a spectacle that should not have been made in the first place. Emotions are overrunning your course of action and they continue to blind you. Your son is not safe left behind here, especially with you constricting the members of the Onmitsukido out of fear of their retaliation from your own wily actions. You've consistently put your blood on the line in the worst way possible.”
Akarui speaks as a mother, something that she could attest to, and carve into the already wounded heart of the Oki woman. What she may imagine is for the safety of her son is nothing but the opposite. Compared to the three powerhouses that were opposite of one another, the members of the Onmitsukido, caught or not, were skilled but if someone of their stature were to come for the boy, cutting everyone and everything in their path, what would she do in her confinement, so far away from the disaster zone? Even with her great power, time and energy would wilt her from within and even she would succumb to exhaustion.
“You've become selfish. None of what you're doing is for Masahiro. Every action you've taken has put the boy in danger, and if not for the order to apprehend you alive, the both of you would be dead. It wouldn't matter how many bodies were sacrificed to complete that objective there would be nowhere for either of you two to go. Release the captives. For the boy's sake, he will come with us, and you will answer for your abandonment properly.”
Akarui stands her ground, her left hand positioned awkwardly enough to stay close to the hilt of her blade in the case she would have to draw it out swiftly in retaliation from the woman, should their be any. She prayed that Honoka would come to her senses, or the boy may fear his mother, far more than the system in which she desperately tried to protect him from.

Signy listened quietly as Sanyu spoke about his father. While her face showed disinterest, her heart ached. Had she been in his shoes and lost her father, she would have been an uncontrollable mess. Even now, if something like that happened to her baby sister, she would be on an unstoppable war path. Her eyes snapped over to Atsuko picking up Itsuki’s body and a pout spread across her face. She’d wanted to be the one to carry the body, but she supposed it was only proper for the lieutenant to do it instead.
As Atsuko left, Signy took the moment to fix her hair that had been sent in every direction during Atsuko’s tantrum. I wonder if I can make a stop by the shop on the way back to the gate. As she was about to leave, she glanced over at Sanyu and sighed. Rather than open her mouth and risk saying something hurtful, she simply patted him on the shoulder gently before disappearing.
Ultimately, Signy decided to try to use her being slower to excuse her being later getting to the gate than Atsuko might expect. In reality, she made a quick stop at the Hoshi Sweets Shop. Business was relatively slow due to the time of day so she was able to just walk in and grabbed three bags, filling each with an assortment of taffy, chocolates, and hard candies; one was for her, another for Oyama, and the last was for the captain of the ninth division, who she’d heard was a notorious sweets fiend. As she tied off the last bag, a voice rang out in the shop.
”You better be planning on paying for those, Signy.”
Signy grinned and peered over at the counter where her brother Vali was working on making hard candies. ”I always do, brother.” With that she tossed him her wallet, she’d just pick it back up from the shop later, and disappeared.
When she finally arrived at the gate, she had all three drawstring bags of candy tied to her waist sash. She didn’t even bother hiding the fact that she’d made a stop in between Kuroari and the gate, and if Atsuko asked her about it, she’d just smile and say ”What can I say, I’m a sucker for my family’s sweets.”
