The blue haired girl stood there, her eyes not leaving the wound she had created on the man, her eyes stuck on the sight of the river of crimson as it drained from that very sight. She didn’t know why she struck that area. Maybe because it was one she knew. Maybe she was so nervous that she wanted to get this done quickly. She didn’t see herself being able to torture this poor soul…but that is what she was going to have to learn how to do.
”Why did you only target a single artery? I said ``find and knick his arteries``, not find a knick A artery.”
Himari jumped, her eyes widening as she turned towards the blond haired man. She had totally forgotten he was there. And his very voice scared her. So she jumped and turned towards him, the blade held up pointing towards him in her fear. Her hand shoot as she looked at him.
Why? She had no idea why. All she knew is that she wanted it to be done quickly, she didn’t want to deal with hearing the constant screams of the man when she tortured him. But… if she didn’t get this done, she was probably going to be stuck down here until she got passed that.
She watches as he pushes himself off the wall, walking towards the body of the man she had just killed. He crouched down, grabbing the corpse by his head, the blood still falling out from the wound.
”This practice wasn’t about simply killing him off, but the effectiveness in which you kill. Sure targeting one carotid artery might be easy enough, but what if that doesn’t become possible? It's why you target other areas just in case. I want you to be able to familiarize yourself with those areas, how to locate them, the feeling of successfully and precisely striking them so you’re not limited or caught unaware.”
She said nothing. She knew this. But she didn’t know if she could make herself picture these men as cutting boards placed in front of her to simply cut and toy with. She never had to do that. Hell, she never killed anyone in her life except today.
”If you make it a habit of targeting only the vital areas on the body of your opponent, you add more pressure to them both physically as they are forced to guard those areas or avoid the attacks, and mentally as they are faced with someone targeting only the areas that will cause the most harm and damage, areas that could cost them their life.”
She nodded, still not speaking. She understood all of this. But-
If you don’t want to grow, die. I don’t want a weak, pathetic, and cowardly master like you.
Her fingers shook as she recalled what Fudō Myōō said to her. She was being weak. She was being Pathetic. She was going to have to learn how to do this. Not only go the easy route. She was going to have to be able to target areas not only to kill, but to detain. To cause pain but not deadly harm. It was going to be her job to be able to do this. She was going to have to push through this.
As Yogen dropped the dead body on the ground, she slowly walked over to the next Maggot. Her fingers gripped the handle of the blade hard, but her eyes showed no fear. The red and grey eyes looked from here to there, scanning areas. She was going deep into her brain.
Himari_1.png

To learn Kido, you had to learn ho to be precise with controlling you spiritual energy. You had to manipulate it correctly, giving it just the right amount of energy. The better control, the stronger the spell will be. If she thought of her attacks to the Maggots like this…then maybe-
She moved quickly, suddenly behind the next Maggot she targeted. He wouldn’t have been able to move if he could. She suddenly appeared behind him, causing the man to gasp. He was taller than her. She quickly kicked at the backs of his knees, causing him to fall to his knees. This gave her the perfect view of her target. She quickly turned to blade, grabbing hold of the knife before she suddenly slammed the handle into the man's neck, hitting the man's carotid artery. She didn’t even notice the cut on her hands, veiny focused on how the scream of pain left the man’s lips. Both surprise and pain filled that scream.
The man instantly fell to the ground, having been knocked out from the pressure of the handle hitting his artery. It wasn’t strong enough of a blow to kill him, but it was enough to knock him out.
She then turned towards the neck man, she placed the blade in her mouth, wanting to use her hands this time. She looked at him, trying to figure out what would cause him pain.
A flash of blue was all the man would see before suddenly Himari had him in a choke hold, pushing his head to the side as she did so. She held firmly, slowly making it harder for the man to breathe. She listened closely, not wanting him to die, but weak. Before suddenly she punched him right in his side, causing him to fall to the ground in pain.
The sick feeling again filled her body as she watched man twist around in pain, his groans making her feel worse and worse.
Will she always feel this way? Was she really cut out for all of this? Only time would tell.

All Consuming Rage
Furia’s smart mouthed tone did reach his ears but he paid it no mind. Like his cousin he had to learn how to bottle up his violence for certain situations. However, unlike his cousin he was not very good at it and it was clear he was bursting at the seams. Turning to walk away each step drew him away from Furia, each step he took he settled down until she spoke again, seeking to stoke the flames of violence within the man. Maybe her confidence in her Zanjutsu gave her the idea that it would be smart to do such a thing or maybe she wanted death.
“Hot air and empty threats? Coming from the man who walks away? Another time, when things aren’t as chaotic, and when you don’t have a stick up your ass about people being outside your chambers. Will see who can walk the walk.”
He stops his stride, hands twitching, aching to make a fist to bludgeon the girl with. From her point of view Ochi would seem like he is looking up into the sky, with no clear view of his face she could not see what he was thinking or feeling in that moment. His eyes were pure white, his mouth agape and brows furrowed, he was lost in rage and malice. His foot slides as if he is readying himself to turn around. After partially turning his body a bit he stops, lowering his head with his facial expression returning to normal. He managed to calm himself, to quell the fires but just barely. Furia has signed a check, one that Ochitsuki will be cashing in. When things settle down, when their Captain returns and normality resumes she may be on the receiving end of an unbound hellish fury.
He vanishes with Shunpo, his step devoid of sound itself. As he makes his way back to his den his eyes look to the left and then the right as he sores over treetops. He descends rapidly into the tree line, vanishing from sight with those pursuing him halting as well to try and get a fix on his location. While using their trained ears, eyes, noses, and spiritual sense to locate him they are overtaken by the sound of one of their own letting out a blood curdling scream followed by a heavy thud. The man had hit the ground with no signs of trying to slow or break his fall, repositioning themselves in what they had believed to be unseen locations within the trees they look upon their comrade, his right arm horrible twisted, such an act sent him into shock and if he fell unconscious before or after hitting the ground was unknown.
CRRRRRAAAAAACCCCKK!!
A horrible sound of bone breaking is heard within this small forest as another man screams, falls silent then hits the ground below. He hit the ground face first, his last remaining comrade could see the back of his top was bloodied with something red protruding out of his back, it had a white color to it but was covered in blood. Much to his horror he came to the conclusion that the man’s spine had been partially pulled out and broken. Ochitsuki was hunting them, he was the only one with a spear hand technique perfected enough to pull off such a maneuver. The remaining man attempted to leave only to be knocked out of the tree, before he could stick the landing Ochitsuki landed on top of him, slamming his head into the ground. It dazed him but he remained conscious for the most part.
”I gave you no orders to follow me… No, what you were doing was tailing me. My steps make no sound so it's quite easy to hear the steps of others, like you three rustling through the trees. Who gave the order?”
The man’s eyes look over to his left to see the twisted arm and exposed broken spine of his comrades. Ochitsuki has a reputation, he is the head of interrogation after all, if he asks for information you give it or be subjected to unimaginable pain. He looks back into the vacant eyes of the Oda, a man who has no concept of what the value of life means or what it is worth.
”O-Oyama H-H-Hoshi, F-F-F-Fifth Seat Hoshi… S-She wanted to k-k-k-know where y-y-y-you were going…”
Ochitsuki takes a deep breath with his eyes closed as if bottling this anger into a jar, a jar with Furia’s name on it. He begins to tremble, his head slowly rotating to the right while clutching the man’s head, squeezing it. Naturally he began to fear for his own well being, to see a person on the verge of snapping like this was never a humbling sight. The Oda lets him go and begins walking away from him yet again.
”Those two men are still alive, have a medic come tend to them.”
Y-Yes, Sir..”
”Oh, if Furia or Oyama ever tell you to follow me again, gut yourself.”

He vanishes yet again, soundlessly leaving two broken men and a warning to the one who was left unscathed. He would be the one to spread the message as he now slowly collects himself and sets out to find someone to administer medical aid to the two men in the forest.
Meanwhile Ochitsuki begins to make his way to the Maggot’s Nest. More than just checking up on the progress of one Himari Shimizu he will also be conducting an investigation into the tremors that have progressively been getting worse and worse.

The girl, this Himari..she seemed like quite the jumpy one. Understandable, the Second Division was certainly a different environment than that of her former DIvision. It was reasonable that she would be on edge. Yogen had seemed to dismiss the girl’s weakness-no, her foolishness in having pointed a blade at him out of her sudden fright. The girl was hardly responsive, which made it difficult to tell if she understood what he was saying, let alone actually listening to his explanations. He hoped she was listening, this was a luxury that most likely wouldn’t be afforded to her under the guiding hand of Ochitsuki or their Captain. Her time with Yogen was the best opportunity she would have to properly digest anything at a controlled pace and reasonable rate of explanations.
He watches as she moves on to the next of the little lab rats obtained for her.
”By the way-”
He began as she transitioned behind her test subject, knocking him down further a peg before striking him down. He crumbled to the ground unconscious, he’d hurt but he’d live...for now at least.
”The next time you point a blade at any member of the Onmitsukido, be prepared to use it. The others aren’t as...charitable or forgiving as I am. A mistake like that will cost you your life.”
TAP TAP TAP
A knocking at the door caused the agent’s eyes to drift towards it briefly. He lifted a brow curiously, wondering what he was doing there. He turns his focus back to Himari as she immerses herself into her work once more, the door opening up as young Shinotori welcomes himself into the room. Like Yogen, the young Hitsugaya props himself up against the wall, resting his straw hat atop his head, and just like that another pair of eyes is upon Himari. Shinotori sits and watches in silent judgement, discerning that the girl before him is one unfamiliar with this side of the world. Despite the actions she was forced to take by the Captain’s command, the torment she’s endured under Ochitsuki’s hand, and the pain she’s wrought in her training...Himari was yet untouched by the darkness. She had not immersed herself in the way of shadows and death. Though she has killed, she was not yet a killer.
Yogen exchanges no words of greeting or familiarity with the seated officer. It's difficult to determine what his perception of the man is, unlike before where he was clearly bothered by the annoyingly creepy Ochi. Seriously, there was something off about that guy. Having been locked away in this room since their arrival, Yogen has yet to receive the news that the Captain has returned back to the Seireitei. With the Captain back within the walls of the Seireitei it was only a matter of time before he returned to the barracks. Their work on the recruit would definitely be inspected. What would Kyomu think regarding the progress made, if you could call it progress? If he was dissatisfied, it wouldn’t be unusual if he cut them down for their failure, then Himari for wasting his time. Such was the harshness of the world they lived in, and the coldness and cruelty of the Phantom.

The messengers had been swift in their movement, trained well enough that the majority of the seireitei couldn’t pick up on their whereabouts. The ones closest to the barracks to the second division barracks had been of course the ones to report back. To twin personalities of Hoshi this was most interesting, the quakes had been less intense as it was further away it got from second division. It wasn’t until the return of the other sections outside of the southeast that things truly got interesting.
All the ones that reported from the other districts had stated that There had been no reports of quakes happening. Such a thing had reassured her suspicions that it was originating within second division, The only ones to not report back were the ones following Ochitsuki Oda. Oyama had been concerned enough so that she began to pester Furia to check up on where they were last seen, until one reported in that they were last seen near the Maggots nest.
It didn’t take her long travel to the forest outside of Maggots nest, where she was greeted by three people, two injured and one attending to those injuries. All she could do was take in a deep breath, as she stared at the men, She didn’t like the fact that he was breaking people that were under her watch, even more so that they were fellow division members.
“He really is a brute.”
“Yes, and when we fight him, lets make sure to break every bone in his body for what he has done.”

The Blood Panda began to rattle inside the sheath, He was excited to be unleashed upon someone who had Both personalities on edge. One eager to fight while the other worried that the tensions between the two will only rise between the two. She was worried that death would come for one of them, and as much as she disliked the idea of killing a division member; The Oda member would leave little choice in the matter when it came time.
“I’ll give Ochisuki credit… He isn’t Katsuo. What he did here makes me think he should be here, or eleventh.”
Furia’s hand lifted up to her mouth placing both index and thumb, blowing into em to cause a loud but short whistling noise, just long enough to bring some of the guards to their location. They were of course hidden in the shadows, their presence hidden away from anyone and everyone.
“Help bring these two away from here to get medical attention. You report back to inner court guard. ”
No other words were exchanged, as the guards were careful lifting up the injured carry them off, while the other moved towards the inner court guard, shaken on what he had witnessed at the Oda’s hands.
She wasted little to no time in move towards the maggots nest, unaware of what she’ll find in there other than the usual prisoners inside the maggots nest.

Bit by bit he makes his way closer to the Maggots Nest, his mind is empty, the vacancy of thought only means he has nothing else to be thinking about allowing him to be more aware of his surroundings. That being said he picks up on another group tailing him, this one making their presence known to him. He halts on one of the many tiled pathways of the Second Division barracks with the group of agents stopping and kneeling before him.
”Captain Mukuro has returned to the Seireitei. He is currently at the First Division barracks with prisoners in tow.”
The young man stands in silence, the vacancy of his mind is slowly filled with questions, mostly the thought of who the prisoners could possibly be. This useless thought is quickly casted aside as he turns his back to the men and begins his trek to Maggot's nest once more.
”Understood, spread the word across the Barracks.”
Assured Movements of Killers
The agents nod and vanish from sight with Ochitsuki following suit only to reappear some time later at the gates of the Nest. He approaches the guard, handing over his Zanpakuto to the man, as per protocol when entering the Nest all weapons are to be removed from your person. Given the versatility of his zanpakuto and its shape changing abilities the young Oda has no reason to carry other tools on him. The door creaks open, light from the outside blesses these miserable beings yet again but is swiftly taken from them just as quickly as it arrived. He strides forward, spotting Yogen and Himari in the distance and Shinotori leaning against a wall. He pays the Hitsugaya no attention at first as he checks in on Himari. Surely as he steps closer to the blue haired woman she could become bothered by his reappearance. He halts beside Yogen, staring at her the entire time as he speaks to the blonde hair male.
”The Captain has returned to the Seireitei, currently at First with some prisoners. I didn’t probe on who the prisoners are though. Just stopped by to give that bit of info because if he is back you know what that means.”
He turns his head and looks at the man for the first time since arriving.
”A progress report. Tell me how she has progressed. Any failings or shortcomings I will take the blame for should the Captain not be pleased. This is my project after all.”
He would wait for Yogen to give him the details on what he has missed since he left. Once that information is exchanged his gaze shifts back to the Hitsugaya on the wall. Slowly, he approaches him, tilting his head to the side to peek under the straw hat and get a look at his face. The murderous gaze of this young man locks with the eyes of Shinotori for a few moments before he finally speaks to him.
”Idles hands are useless and are best removed from the body as they serve no purpose. Now, become useful and follow me there is a… ‘disturbance’, I wish to investigate.”
He readjusts his posture and walks ahead of the young man, taking a path that leads deeper into the nest. He casts a final glance at Himari before finally looking ahead at the path he walks. The girl is still confused, she knows what she must do but she does not understand. She knows she must become a killer, she knows she must follow these lessons or forfeit her life. More than that if she is not up to the standards Captain Mukuro needs her to be at he too will suffer the same fate for failure. Just as one pulse one make two, not doing his job correctly can result in his death.
