They couldn't be cut, and the water seemed to not affect them. Koyo's actions had little effect as the dome closed around him. Paper cuts had begun to form on his body as he gritted his teeth. Thankfully he'd been used to pain ever since he was born. Raising the pressure of the water was out as it wouldn't work either. The density of the steam also didn't matter that much. He had two other things he could attempt, but they weren't things he could suggest. Thankfully the water, steam, and heat didn't harm Koyo. He would begin to consider the paper now and what was happening.

His body temperature was rising, causing sweat to drip down. Koyo knew the direction Komamura-san was in and turned to face it. He didn't make any further movements with his Zanpakuto as of yet. The feeling of the papercuts was painful and did strike him across his body. The pain did seem worse when liquid was added to the mix. But, it wasn't anything akin to the pain Koyo experienced growing up. The first issue was the dome surrounding him; cutting with water didn't seem to work. So the next solution was to attack Komamura-san.

Koyo had two solutions using his Zanpakuto left to him. Both weren't precisely pleasant experiences for him or anyone. But it was time to focus on what needed to be done. "Ye lord! Mask of and flesh, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams, unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hado 33 Sokatsui." A small ignition of blue appeared on the palm of his hand. He pointed it towards the air, and hopefully, it blasted a hole in the doom he could get out. If not, he'd merely made the situation worse for himself. He'd released his reiryoku, but on the off chance, he failed. He'd already begun to do something.

Koyo could command water, it was usually hot and scalding, but he could do one other thing. The drops and even the moisture in the air began to move. Koyo had done something inside and outside of that bubble. Commanding the water, if any were on Komamura-san, he'd noticed it. But the pressure had been changed, and it wasn't a small change. He'd decided the water pressure needed to be different now. Within the world of the living existed a place. Where the psi was at 15,750. The weight of 100 elephants on one's body. By holding his Zanpakuto, Koyo wasn't immune to this pressure. But the effect was lowered upon his body because it was done through the wooden plank.

If the escape was presented, Koyo would use Hoho and come out with blood drips running down his arms and face. Transmitting the pressure of the heat and such to his Zanpakuto caused it to hiss. As steam leaked from the wooden plank. Small chips had formed along the wood's surface from the psi inflicted on it. Koyo was just trying things he felt within his power. Experiments he'd done while training alone, he'd never attempted them against a fellow shinigami.

The area around the birds and Komamura-san was a minefield of water droplets containing that heavy pressure. He breathed heavily, showing signs of sweat dripping along with the blood. Being inside and using the Sokatsui had taken a toll on Koyo.

"I only have one other idea; it is not comfortable," Koyo admitted as he caught his breath now, hopefully tasting the free air.

Nope. That wasn't the way at all, as Koyo would soon come to realize. Sanyu kept his concentration on utilizing his Zanpakuto as the Kido spell conjured by the 10th division member was fired. The Kido spell however, didn't have enough juice to overpower Sanyu's Reiryoku infused papers, as it hit the papers expanded at the top of the dome temporarily, as Sanyu watched. Some of the papers fluttered and flew away only to magnetize themselves back to the other papers that stayed at the initial blow, showing they did to some degree, buckle to the power of the kido spell, but, the spell sooned to prove its owner an enemy as it bounced off the top of the Dome, and came barreling back toward Koyo.

As it did Sanyu Dispersed some papers to make a hole and see what happened, but the papers would fall apart a bit too late to save Koyo from his own Kido spell. The steam and heat that Koyo placed inside with him prevented Sanyu from approaching much further. In essence, Koyo had done this to himself.

Sanyu sighed, and crossed his arms… was he too soft on the member of Division 10? Would there be others who would push Koyo harder? At this Rate, Koyo would be dead if he ever entered the World of the living, let alone the Rukongai once again… Sanyu rubbed the back of his Fuzzy neck trying to think. Out there, every being that Walks talks and moves will want to kill Koyo… even his own Shinigami Comrades will have personal agendas…he was pretty sure some disregarded law and working as a team… self important, entitled butt wipes that thought nothing of the consequences of not watching the area around them for allies mid-battle… Sanyu would sigh, and apologize to Koyo.

"Sorry, Koyo…"

As Koyo's own Kido spell was hurtling toward him, the paper started coming in at him from all angles and formed together around him to form packs of origami Wolves who would Hold Koyo in place to ensure there would be no escape from that bounced back Kido spell. This one was going to hurt… a lot. He should get used to this pain, and not just the physical pain… the mental as well. One day an enemy could swallow up and kill someone Koyo sees important and cares about, just like the one that killed Sanyu's Father.

Koyo's frame moved as he stepped away from the situation. His flash step was pretty good; around his form, something kept the animals from biting down. A current of swirling water flowed around him rapidly. Continuing to move around him rapidly at high speeds makes it hard to see; the steam also doing the same. Protecting him from those as he dodged the spell, noticing the change. He brought his hand up, firing two Sokatsui's at the spot before it could fully recover. His hand released the blue ignition, not giving full time for the magnetizing to happen. Flames that would have caused problems prior were helpful.

Using this moment when an opening was likely to appear, Koyo used a flash step to exit the dome prison. Attempting another escape as he had water swirling around him at extremely high speeds. Steam also running along the edge of the current. Causing something of combination protection for him. He was able to protect his body from being grabbed by this combo. Blood dripped from those birds' paper cuts down his frame. Two tricks up his sleeve now. His command of water and steam allowed him many moves. The steam wasn't just cutting anymore. It was now corrosive to things it touched. The ground began to warp as Koyo noticed the steam around Komamura-san begin to take effect.

Bringing his Zanpakuto up slowly, he summoned the water in the air and on the ground. Creating a giant bubble above the battlefield, they fought. The liquid drop that hung in the air as he manipulated it. Creating pressure inside that was immense as he prepared to release his attack. Koyo had tried more minor things; now, he'd begun to prepare a tsunami with pressure capable of crushing buildings and the very earth it fell on.

Koyo's breathing was a bit more haggard from doing this as he let the drop fall, finally releasing a massive blast downwards. As the water would strike the earth, it removed all the water built up in every direction. Creating a current and explosion of pressure outwards. This was Koyo's next move as he prepared to use more corrosive effects.

He had to admit, the flash step to dodge the wolves at every angle was pretty intelligent. However, everything else Koyo tried to do, as the kido spell hit the ground and dispersed the wolves and the paper, making them fly around the battlefield again around Sanyu, the Komamura noticed the boy continued making the same mistake over and over again… he had a simple thing to do, in order to effect his papers at all, but the boy continued to rely on water pressure, and heat he emitted instead of his power. Sanyu extended the Origami hilt of his blade out toward Koyo once again, as the Hurricane of papers came hurtling toward him once more.

This time yet again, they didn't take no other animal form, like they normally would but, they created a dome once again, the paper connected with the ball of water Koyo was going to force out, creating hissing sounds as the Reiryoku Sanyu emitted from them… slowly began to get heavier for Koyo. Why? Sanyu was going to end this before anyone got hurt, and teach Koyo where he needed to improve…. If he stayed conscious for this final move. As Sanyu's spiritual pressure rose higher, and higher, the paper dome got smaller, and stronger as paper overlays paper as the fibers got tighter and tighter together.

Soon, Koyo would find himself trapped, in the very Tsunami tidal wave he was about to release and give off, because Sanyu once again had trapped Koyo in the dome of paper, this time with his own attack. Koyo would get sucked into his own steaming ball of water; and Sanyu wouldn't let him out until the water was dispersed, or Koyo passed out. Whichever stubbornly came first. Sanyu regretted doing something like this, but sometimes you had to be rough on other shinigami when teaching them a lesson; this had unfortunately become one of those times.

"Give in, Koyo… please… So we can converse… or drown and pass out in your own water…"

Koyo was about to continue his struggle, but a hand came down on his shoulder. One that Komamura-san wouldn't be able to see. Koyo's head turned within the water pressure he stood within. His body was tired, and he'd been experiencing some tiredness. The hand was covered in fur past the digits as the visage of his Zanpakuto became clear. Though only part of its body, the upper portion, and arms. Koyo's Zanpakuto was giving its blessing that it had seen enough. He tried fighting with only it, not using anything outside of it. Koyo could have switched up his strategies to something more suitable.

"That's enough; you need to think out your strategies more. The way you are fighting him ain't gonna work. You command the shapes of the water and steam." Koyo swallowed as he slowly felt the plank seal up now. Changing back to a regular katana as the water fell limp and lifeless. He had his head turned around. His hairband was descending with the water for a large splash. His hair fell drenched to his shoulders as he caught his breath. Swallowing now as he listened to his Zanpakuto spirit. Sheathing his Zanpakuto, he continued to listen.

"You've lost this fight, Koyo. Listen to what the victor says."
With that, his spirit turned and vanished. Koyo leaned his head back as he glanced down at his sword. Koyo remained silent as he took in what had happened. He'd been unable to even reach Komamura-san. A bleak future was indeed awaiting him in Squad 10. He certainly wasn't worthy of the fourth seat. Tosu would have made more significant headway here.

He'd lost with what he had now; it seemed he was right to worry. The style developed in the academy wouldn't work. Koyo found some solace in that fact.

"I'm done; it seems I was right...what I learned at the academy, the style I built from it...won't work. " Koyo said before coming down and sitting down on the ground; his clothing was drenched from the water. He could have used one other thing, but he physically couldn't harness it well.
