A familiar sound is heard ringing within Kyo's ears. His eyes closed. His head head heavily planted upon a hard surface, one that even with its hardness allows him to rest his weariness. His mind treading in his past; memories of three days ago surfacing.
After all, today had been a very stressful day. It is quite possible that he came across a very strong enemy. And that enemy was…
History.

"Leave from here Kyo! Leave before it is too late!"
Words that still strike a fear. The smell of blood rising. Within but a moment his death will become truth.
'How can I stop it?'
Kyo's brain tries to find a way to stop the mistake. To stop his old partner's and - most importantly - friend's death.
He has visited this memory quite a lot. After all, this is the moment he had failed to save someone by his own actions and he believes that it is here that he needs to fix his errors. His mistakes.
He knows he cannot revive his soon to be dead friend. But maybe, maybe he can save him through finishing this obscure scenario.
'Currently there are 34 Hollows around, all at a very early level, thus posing no issue - apart from tiring us. It was done perfectly.'
His thoughts analyze the actions of the Hollows. He knows that the Hollows shall move in such a way that will lead both Kyo and his friend to a spot where the Arrancar is waiting to sneak attack them.
Having repeated this specific scenario for about two hundred times, he knows that staying at the spot will lead to the eventual demise of both of them.
He also knows that if he were to be sneak attacked firstly, he would be the one to die first - after all, he had no clue that the Arrancar was there and he was unable to search for its Reiryoku.
'This leads to me having to extensively train in sensing Reiryoku. I wonder if I could get any assistance in that regard.'
He then lets the scenario unfold like it did in his memory, having checked all parameters.
They kept battling the Hollows, both Kyo and his friend getting more and more damage as time went by.
And then.
'Is that? Yes! That is what I should have done!'
He saw it. A small Hollow that was about to shove them both onto point zero. He knows that he avoids it, while his friend doesn't.
Avoiding it would grant both the capability to stay away from the hidden Arrancar. And so, they would be able to proceed and try their best against the other Hollows.
The Arrancar would come out aim aim for the weakest of the two - that being Kyo's friend. And so, a sneak attack within a sneak attack.
"Jump up! Use Hado#31 - Shakkahō at 7 o'clock in a 124 angle!"
Kyo's orders are heard. He hopes that those can assist in his friend's survival. After all, the way the scenario currently unfolds is one he has not experienced yet, within these training regimes of his. He hopes that thanks to those orders, his friend will be allowed a perfect push from the Kidō's manifested effect and result, allowing him to go both over the Hollows and to dissipate any and all agro from them.
"Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"
And so his friend did so. At the same time a smashing sound is heard, as the Arrancar leaves his hiding spot and quickly searches for his prey.
Unlike the other Hollows, having lost the weakened target they pursued - and thus becoming a simple variable - the Arrancar immediately locks upon Kyo's weakened friend.
'No. I shall not let you.'
He understands that the Arrancar has aimed at his friend and so he thinks.
His thought process is fast, as he arrives at the best possible choice.
And so, he retracts the emission of his Reiatsu, his lips parting and his left hand going forth - index finger aimed at the Arrancar.
"Bakudo#1 - Sai!"
The result, as expected is a positive reaction. The Arrancar is stopped - albeit momentarily. Sadly for them, the Arrancar proceeds to fire a Cero from the horn on his right side.
"My Vacant, I call for thee."

Having just finished with his training regime within the dojo, he slowly came out of his meditative state and went forth to practice the various Katas that he has been instructed from his days at the Academy.
If one were to watch him closely, one would wonder why did he always change the way he held his Zanpakutō.
Mike-Zanpakuto.png

Due to the unique shape the hilt has - the "T" shape that is - it allows the user to grab ahold of it from a lot of angles, allowing for an even bigger variety of attacks.
At one moment Chūkū Ha - the Zanpakutō - is held like a normal one-handed sword, at the next it looks like a protruding spike from his arm, the very next moment it is seen held from one of the two "T" sides making circular movements - following both the forces produced from both the hand that holds it and the gravity, as if it is a saw.
One can understand that such a weapon has quite the unique way to be handled, especially with how most Zanpakutōs forms are - that being a normal traditional Katana.
And so, Shinjitsu Kyo, within the 13th Division's dojo, kept practicing. It must have been more than 1 hour since he has stopped. At least from his own point of view, for in actuality he has been within the dojo for about a week. Within all that time he had been practicing his various Katas, both those he has been taught and those he has modified.
An example of such a modified Kata can be seen in his mixture of Hakuda and Zanjutsu, where he would intentionally attack in such a way that left openings with his sword - which is a bait - only to follow up, at nearly the same time, with a Hakuda technique, thus leaving the enemy - possibly - perplexed.
After this 1 hour has passed, he takes his time to go to the dojo's Kidō practice area. There he pulls all Reiatsu emissions within his body, in order to train himself in both Kidō practices - as when his Reiatsu is emitted, any and all Kidō are drawn upon his body and affect him - and also in Reiatsu and Reiryoku control.
"Bakudo#1 - Sai!"
His voice is heard in the vicinity, as the effect of the aforementioned Kidō comes forth - its target being training dummies that have the ability to break the various Kidōs, in order to assist with a Shinigami's training.
Bakudo#1 - Sai. One of the very first Kidō taught within the academy. It is also a Kidō with a lot of application - regarding its targeting system that is. This Kidō allows one to choose between casting a focused restraining spell upon one target, or to restrain a bigger number of opponents.
And so, due to one important factor, Kyo has chosen the former. To focus the restraining effect upon one target.
Yet, if one were to be able to see the flow of energy, one would see multiple activations happening - one after the other, continuously.
'Bakudo#1 - Sai!'
Eishōhaki. The practice of omitting the incantation and only calling forth the name of the Kidō at the expense of power - at least for most practitioners.
Nijū Eishō. The practice where one uses two incantations mixed into one.
These two practices are what Kyo currently practices, utilizing the way his brain works.
Speaking one incantation, while thinking the other incantation.
Adding within all these the practice of Kōjutsu Eishō, which is to call chant the incantation after the Kidō has been activated in order to strengthen it.
All these, lead to the current training session that Kyo follows.
"Bakudo#1 - Sai!"
His voice once more heard, his thoughts filled with the incantation. Beads of sweat have formed upon his face - an obvious result of his lack of practical experience when it comes to Kidō, especially in a training session that is obscure to say the least.
If anyone were to ask Kyo himself whether such a training session could be seen as normal in the Kidō Corps, his reply would be that he doubts it.
After some time, while the Kidō kept activating, his lips - even when moving - did not produce any sound. He was using his brain's function in order to keep casting the Kidō, while he was breathing in and out deeply - his body screaming from how untrained it was in regards to Kidō.
This state he was currently within, was something he enjoyed.
"Shinjitsu-san! A Zajiku with your name has arrived!"
.
.
.
"Wake up you sleepy Shin-san!
Kyo's eyelids feel heavy. His mind still filled with those memories. And yet, he forces his eyes open - fighting this drowsiness.
It also helps that someone is holding his shirt, pushing and pulling his body in an attempt of awakening the dead[, as that someone would jokingly tease Kyo.
"Shakurajima-kun, please; let me slowly wake up. Like, 5 more minutes."
Kyo's voice showcased happiness. Showcased feelings of friendship and generally felt odd - at least for those that knew of Kyo's actual monotonous voice.
It is in such a manner, two boys, aged 17, would picture what it means to be young.
Sadly, while their atmosphere has hints of happiness, it is the exact opposite for the general atmosphere within the school's vicinity. It was today that an assembly occured.
A police officer spoke to the students, about what they should do in case someone attempts to abduct them.
.
.
.

Kyo's eyes are alight - the light being the shining of a television he currently stands in front of.
"In the latest news, another student of Karakura High has gone missing. The authorities are urging parents to accompany their children to and from school and those who cannot are urged to walk to and from school in groups of three or more. Authorities continue their patrol around the campus and further out in the residential areas surrounding the school. Please stay safe."
It is these disturbing disappearances that Shinjitsu Kyo, a Shinigami of the 13th Division, has been given the task to solve this mystery.

I. Roll Call - Shinjitsu Kyo - 13th Division.
II. Hollow appearance and devouring of humans.
III. Shinjitsu Kyo is to immediately move to Karakura Town's High school as a Transfer Student and destroy the Hollow.
A. As of today, May 12 and 0100, a Hollow's signal has been found in the World of the Living, specifically within the Karakura High school 's building. After that momentary spike, the Hollow has been MIA.
B. At May 12 and 1300 the signal spiked once more, followed with news of the disappearance of a human. Afterwards, the signal spike dissipated.
1. The Hollow is believed to have somehow integrated itself within the building
III. Shinjitsu Kyo of the 13th Division has been called forth to go to the premises as a High school er, using a general Gigai and eliminate the threat.
IV. It is of utmost importance to not allow the Hollow to continue its practices, as it has been found that the late missing people since 3 months ago are because of that Hollow.

It is Kyo's first day after coming to the World of the Living. He is to be immediately admitted to the Karakura town's High school.

Code:
Screams.
The bell signifying the end of the school has rang. Everyone is happily moving around, teens chatting with each other, lovers being lovey-dovey, club members proceeding towards their clubs.
Code:
Screams.
The day is uneventful, as Kyo opens his eyes and smiles at the faces of his friends.
Hollows? Shinigami? Quincy? Zanpakutō? Souls? What is this? A manga?
Code:
Screams.
— — —

At least… That is how everything should have been.

— — —
Screams.
The sound that followed the bell that rang to inform the students that class is over. A hell been unleashed at that exact moment; a hell that should only exist in a fantasy.
It is here that the true world exist.
Code:
"Sweet; oh, so sweet."
At an area far away from Kyo, a dreadful voice fills the surrounding. It is its time to act. Its hunger in need of something more. Something that will finally rest his craving - even for but one moment. And so, it begins.
.
.
.

All started with the windows. At first, they felt as if someone had put a film that made the windows darker. Yet, as time passed, the darker they became.
The doors too. The windows upon the doors became darker, while the doors themselves would stand still - unable to be moved.
Windows that were open - spaces that one could attempt to move fro - felt as if they had a shadowy force field that did not allow access.
It was here, that Shinjitsu Kyo ceased being the transfer student.
It was, that Shinjitsu Kyo resumed being the 13th Division's Shinigami.

.
.
.
'I am not gonna lie. Between this Reiatsu force-field and the screams, I very much preffer the force-field.'
Had anyone been able to hear the thoughts currently running within Kyo's mind, they would immediately want to punch him.
After all, his thoughts should focus on the students.
Luckily for Kyo, his brain could divide his thought process and so he was - at the same time he kept nagging in his thoughts about the sounds - processing what to do.
'Emitted Reiatsu with the capability of forming a force-field. Size is quite big, having taken over the whole building. If the Hollow is not fused with the building, then that means that it is at the very least at the Adjuchas level. If the Hollow is fused with the school, then it is at a normal Hollow's level - even possibly birthed in less than 6 months ago. It is fair to assume, provided the Hollow has fused with the building, that it can further be classified as a Jibakurei.'
His eyes moved around his classmates. Their panic showed upon their faces.
Kyo sighed. He moved calmly, standing from his seat as Shakurajima Jun watched him. Shakurajima too, was afraid, his panic clearly seen upon his face.
Kyo's calmness - or more precisely the lack of showing any and all feelings, assisted in lightly numbing Shakurajima's senses towards the fear and panic permeating the rest of their classmates.
"Shakurajima-kun. It's been nice I met you."
Kyo's voice, now returning to his normal one lacking feelings, was heard.
Shakurajima tilted his head, unsure if the person in front of him was his new friend.
Only, for moments later, to feel his body falling down - paralyzed.
'Analysis complete. Draw the Hollow to the field used for gymnastics by baiting a human with strong Reiryoku and Reiatsu. And now, it`s party time.'
His thoughts were clear. His plan simple and effective and his Reiatsu ready to be emitted. Before that, though, he had to remove one simple thing from the following equation. Shigami kills Hollow. Hollow kills Human. Human is dead. And thus,
"Bakudo#1 - Sai!"
Kyo's voice came out as a whisper. His Kidō with no target was capable to move in an extended range around him - sadly though it was only able to restrain those that had at maximun a miniscule amount of Reiryoku. In other words, it only targeted humans. Doing so would make their body unconsciously release their Reiryoku in the form of Reiatsu.
It is at this moment, when the humans were paralyzed, that Kyo unleashed his Reiatsu - a huge part of it being restricted by both his Gigai and the various power-sealing items he wears upon his true body.
And thus, he moved. His aim the window in front of him.
His steps were slow, his Gigai held within his left hand. The black and white hair fluttering from his movements. And then the sound of a stab.
Within his other hand, he held Chūkū Ha, his Zanpakutō. The stabbing sound was the sword stabbing upon the Reiatsu force-field that was blocking the opened window.
Due to the ability of Chūkū Ha, Kyo is able to create voids that suck an area from any and all Reiryoku emission. Even Reiatsu.
Kyo waited for about 3 seconds, only to command the void to disappear. Doing so, has allowed a small untraceable hole within this force-field from which Kyo got access to the outside area. He then proceeded to move quickly towards the gymnastics field, where he once more fused with his Gigai and stood still.
"I hope this was the right choice.
His words but a whisper, his Reiatsu emitted fully - forcefully halted at the level of what a spiritually strong human would - while the adverse effect of it activating, drawing upon his being any and all spiritual beings.
And now, he waits.

Sorry Shinjitsui, you do not advance to the next round.

After discussion, the Captain’s have decided that your post does not display enough qualifiers to advance you to the combat portion of the Captaincy Test. If you have any questions regarding your performance, or what factors went into this judgment, please feel free to privately message any of the captains. For now, you will remain Shinjitsu Kyo, Sixth Seat of the Thirteenth Division. This means, unfortunately, that you will have to obtain Bankai in character through reasonable roleplay methods. Thank you for applying, it takes a lot of courage to do so, and your effort has been noticed. The Captains look forward to seeing how you develop as a character!

It is a bright and terrifying night. Orange light penetrates the veil of darkness that surrounds Rukongai District 84. It is the light of a great fire, which burns across the rooftops of this village. Many citizens had been sleeping when it occurred, men, dressed as Shinigami had come through with torches, setting the village ablaze. Only, there are no reports of Shinigami being dispatched to this district. Nor are there any records of any patrols in the area. No Shinigami have come in or out of the Seireitei on this night, and the watchmen of the Seventh Division have all been accounted for.
Still, word of the fire spread quickly. Its light is like a beacon of despair across the night sky, burning high enough, bright enough, for the Seventh Division scouts to see. Due to this, Ashura Nojukubi, the only Shinigami stationed remotely close to District 82, has been dispatched. His mission, to aid the villagers in whatever way he can.
When Ashura arrives, it is to screams of terror and despair. Families have been separated, caught within burning buildings. Due to the close proximity of the huts and houses, the fire spread rapidly, encasing the entire village. Horses are caught within their stable, parents scream for missing children. Rafters fall, and burning roofs cave in. It is chaos, as the world around is engulfed in fire.
In this chaos, the villagers aren’t relieved to see a Shinigami first-responder. The sight of Ashura spawns hate in their eyes, anger even, some villagers prone to attack if aggravated. In their eyes he is the cause of this, a burning assailant returned to gaze upon his work.
However, what makes matters worse, is that the village is not the only thing burning. Up the way, on top of the hill that overlooks the village, there is a Noble Manor. This too has been turned to a tower of flame. The inhabitants of this village owe their lives and existence towards the benevolent nobles. They work their lands, serve their house, and craft their goods, in a symbiotic feudal relationship. Should the nobles burn, the village would be left in poverty. However, the distance between the Manor and the Village ensures that Ashura only has the means to save one, before the other burns. The time has come for him to make a choice, the fate of these people’s lives are on his shoulders.

Captain Test
Moments before being alerted about the fire going on within the rukongai district 84, The silver haired shinigami could be found within his personal quarters reading a book named the Hero Goes Rogue. His hair was long and silky which he kept slicked back his eyes were blue, his attire consisted of a tight flexible shirt which fit his body and showed off the tone of his torso, for pants he wore the normal shinigami hakama bottoms which were torn near the ankles of the pants and his feet were wrapped up with cloth expect for his toes. For accessories he wore two wrist braces which were black and a tattered red haori which he wore tied around his waist.
Ashura had only just begun reading the first three pages before seeing an orange hugh glowing off and on as the light from the flames shined through his sliding door, the young shinigami grabbed his zanpakuto and rushed outside to see what was going on and as he exited his leaving quarters he was met by two guards from the 7th division.
“Ashura the 84th district is burning and many villagers are in danger. We need your assistance immediately” stated one of the guards, his hands shaking and he seemed nervous.
“Gather as every man available within this division and immediately dispatch them to find anyone in danger there is not much so i’ll go on ahead to put out the fire you guys can meet me once you’ve alerted the others.” Ashura told the two guards with a confident tone in his voice, his body flickered before vanishing a split second after he uttered his last word. The young man would arrive at the scene only a few seconds later due to the use of shunpo, observing the situation before landing the young man had scouted the fire from the village and the home of the nobles that was also burning on top of the hill this situation was dire and had to be taking care of immediately with haste or else there would be many casualties. “May your angelic flame burn forever, Seikatsu Hono!!” The young man chanted as he released his shikai blue flames emerged from his body in a form of a cloak, drawing his zanpakuto from its scabbard blue flames would sprout from the blade while it was transforming also pulling the flames which surrounded him now surrounding the blade of his zanpakuto; these flames were not a danger to those who were not in his intention of being burnt so anyone who came into contact with Ashura’s fire would feel a warmth from his flames but that's it.
With his zanpakuto now being released into its shikai state taking on the appearance of a western made sword with a skull at the bottom of the hilt and the blade becoming thicker in width with a black outline and nearly as long as Ashura himself. “Alright here goes nothing” the young man stated before quickly taking action he began to conjure and unleash his own blue flames towards the flames which burned the village in hopes of overwhelming the fire with his own which he had no idea would work, surprisingly it did and the blue flames would begin to merge with the wildfire turning the blue .
”you should hurry to the manor the flames here shall eventually bond with ours and bend to our will” stated Seikatsu Hono as the blue flames rapidly spread across the village consuming the lesser flames, everything that once burned ceased to burn however the blue flames remain lit however whatever or whoever came into contact would fill a warmth as if they were in bed laying under a blanket. ”right!”stated the young man replying to his zanpakuto quickly making his way to the house of nobles using shunpo once more, arriving at the manor in just a few seconds Ashura attempted the same strategy in purging the flames preventing the village and the manor from burning any further; once his own personal flames overwhelmed the wildfire his spiritual energy within those flames healed the injuries of those with flesh wounds, however the amount of casualties had yet been determined. Ashura took it upon himself to search for the residents within the manor and left the village to the other members of the 7th division.
A few moments after Ashuras flames spread across the village he could sense a few spiritual signatures coming from the home of the nobles and he’d approach them seeing as they were no casualties here Ashura’s plan to use his own fire paid off. The head of the house came rushing out of the door with his hands and eyes closed and tail tucked between his legs just before running into a sturdy Ashura who was barely phased by the impact, the rest of his family came out shortly after and they were rather calm some seemed embarrassed by the heads foolery.
”ooof” a sound came out the nobleman's mouth “oh i'm so sorry thank you kindly sir for rescuing my family how could I ever repay you” stated the head of the house he was fairly kind for a noble or at least it seemed that way for now, ”There is no need for you to give me anything” stated the young shinigami before vanishing from there sight. Returning to the villa to check on the casualty numbers however as he made his way back he noticed no signs of it being a nature fire due to the weather being as clear as day it had to be man made. Upon returning to the village Ashura ran into a few members of the 7th division who gave him a casualty report and the numbers were low.
”Ashura sir, their have been reports that the fire was caused by another soul reaper”
“Hmph…..that's impossible everyman in the barracks were accounted for” the young man replied as his eyebrows narrowed down, he began searching for unfamiliar reiatsu signatures around the area. “Have every man hold position until I return, something feels off”. Ashura stated as he picked up on three reiatsu signatures leaving the village about 2 miles away to the east. The men who gave a report to Ashura blinked for just a second and he was gone once more, approaching the men fleeing the crime at a rapid pace Ashura remained calm as he felt himself growing slightly more fatigued each second; leaping from tree branch to tree branch swiftly. It only took the young man around 30 seconds before he could spot the criminals their attire gave them away; as he approached the criminals the young man swung fire from his zanpakuto aiming it to land in front of the men in order to cause a wall of fire to stop them in place, it worked.
“So you idiots thought it was funny to have to wake me up in the middle of the night to deal with something like this hmph. You're not even wearing the uniforms correctly, his belt is not even tied right and his isn’t even on at all.” Stated Ashura.
“See i told you, you should’ve let me fix the belt for you” stated criminal number 1
“What do you mean it's perfectly fine i’ll have you know” replied criminal number 2
“You guys stop fighting we have to think of a way to escape” said criminal number 3
“SHUT UP BAKI!” both criminal number 1 and 2 shouted at criminal number 3 revealing his name. The three criminals seemed like a bunch of trouble makers who always get into trouble and like to pick on the common rable. Baki was sort of bulky in size but sloppy he was the one who had his waist cloth tied around his head which was bald and he had thick lips, the other two were around shorter than him and were twins with brown hair and brown eyes and both skinny in stature. Ashura listened to them bicker amongst themselves for a while “How are we going to escape? He's clearly faster than us” stated criminal number 2 “well there are 3 of us and only one of him” Baki said to the others. “That's the smartest thing you said all day” the twins said in sync together “Lets get him!” they all shouted before charging at the soul reaper.
The criminals rush Ashura each taking turns in succession as they attempt to hit the shinigami but he just manages to toy with them for a few seconds sidestepping and countering most of their attacks by simply pushing their arm rotating their momentum. This continued till each criminal was panting heavily and sweat constantly fell from their pores "Bakudo number 1 .. Sai!” Ashura casted a hado spell on each of the men restraining them. “Damn how am i going to carry all of you back, I told everyone to wait till I return,” Ashura said to himself as he scratched his head. “Looks like you can use a hand here” a voice called out, it was one of the trusted veteran members of the 7th division being followed by a few others, “we’ll take it from here you head back and get some rest, you’ve earned” the veteran member stated as he patted Ashura’s back. Following the drastic event’s the young man returned to his and immediately fell in his bed without undressing and he just lied there looking at the ceiling thinking to himself, wondering why would people be so cruel, why were innocent people always the victim for something they had nothing to do with; however he shrugged off those caring emotions and made vow to protect those who didn’t deserve to be harm's way even if it costed him his life.
