Hiroka watched the gateway become accessible while being prepared to rush right through behind their winged guide. His eyes locked in a state of pensiveness. This would be the last few moments of quiet and calm before an all out state of pandemonium. His hand descended for his sheathed zanpakuto drawing it steadily between his steps, gripping the hilt of it as if holding onto a ledge for one's life. His hand trembled for a moment, yet not out of fear, but instead sheer zeal. Hiroka mirrored the action of his superior, commanding the release of his weapon's primary release.
"Bakuhatsu, Ikarihime."
His words were spoken in a murmur. The katana grew in temperature until it reached a state of being molten. Its blade bent and curved, while its hilt tip sprouted a small crescent blade. As the zanpakuto cooled and revealed the new form, a wall of steam vented from the weapon. Hiroka acknowledged his ally as he was affixed with the effect of their shikai. His arm waving slowly through the air as a shimmer of heat spilled from the hooked sword. The torrid air embracing Shoumetsu and maintaining a close wrap to his figure. Another breath of heat freeing from the blade to also take hold of his own being. Both of the shinigami had made preparations to aid each other in the fight that neared closer. Their abilities were not one in the same but carried a utility that complimented each other. Something that they had both become rather accustomed to.
Hiroka watched as the shoji doors grew nearer. They spread apart just as the pair were only a few meters away. His stride slowed to tail behind Shoumetsu, following him to the rooftop of a nearby building. While the other shinigami prepared a Kidō spell, his optics shifted from place to place. Taking in the buildings, the sky, the visible streets below, anything that could be of value. The air filled with varying presences that added a weight to the surrounding area. Hiroka's mind was already working on what he could do to best utilize his skillset. He'd be lying to think that there wasn't a slight tinge of concern in his mind, given that even within a state of control his abilities carried the possibility of collateral damage. This meant that he had to be mindful of how potent he used Ikarihime's power, especially while nearing the buildings and streets below.
”The priority is we kill everything in our way, and second priority kills things out of our way to go give back up to the others.” Shoumetsu spoke before working to magnetize the surrounding debris.
"Makes sense... Let's bring them all to their knees." He responded. The later portion of his statement seeped in malice.
HIroka's arm extended outward allowing for the air around his weapon to scale in temperature. A single wave of his wrist from left to right threw the built up heat towards the rubble that took flight.. Onward his comrade flew at the massive whale Menos. As the male sawed his way through the beast, the trailing fragments followed in suit. Each of them coursing along the cetacean, they began to take light and detonate, casting brilliant explosions in the wake of the spinning shinigami. The splitting of its flesh exposing it to internal ruination by Hiroka's Tsuihō. Taking to the skies himself, Hiroka watched as the combination attack had felled the orca, a smirk situated on his visage. The smoke from the explosions moved in swift strands to his zanpakuto, gifting it with a brilliant glow.
He executed a flash step to the side of his ally giving him a nod prior to continuing in the direction of Furia. Regardless of what next struggle came, his armament had now had its fill, bolstering the destructive potential of whatever application Hiroka used next. This by no means was the only enemy that had to be eliminated on their way to their objective, but they both were more than capable of clearing a path.
