A figure sat in a darkened room; a glass half filled with whiskey, along with an ashtray holding the ashes of cigar, sat upon the end table beside the arm chair they sat upon. The only sources of light were the embers of the cigar being inhaled and a tv broadcasting the news.
“Over the past year, Eto Heavy Industries has been in talks with section 88 about buying off all its assets. Section 88 has several business dealings with local and prefectural levels of government; and growing well in the public sector until CEO Silas Mikoto had mysteriously vanished, causing stocks to crash. Section 88 only managed to stay afloat by several lucrative contracts and rumors of a buy out. The board of directors had finally come to the discission to sell when several of their contracts came to an end and could not be renewed. Eto Heavy Industries Also contains several government contracts though they mostly deal with the Japanese Self-defence force along with the military, providing military grade weapons, to medical supplies”
A large and long exhale could be heard, before the room began to fill with smoke, heavily coating it in the smell of a burnt cigar. The anchor continued to talk about how Eto heavy industries long standing history within Japan itself having been started in the early 21 century. While this was true, what was not said was a private take over by the Elbeck family. They had removed the Old CEO and installed the new one, one that was more compliant with wants and needs of the Elbecks. Once news of Fred’s death came to the Elbecks they became outraged even more so with no body to bury and morn over. They understood that they could do nothing to the Togabito, as it had already been dealt with, and to wage war on the Soul society was a fools errand. As such they directed their anger towards the Diamante family and the Mikoto family, with the latter already been dealt with, by stripping them of everything they had in their possession, even ridding them of their name and absorbing them into the Elbecks. Now they had to deal with Diamante family One that was more formidable and would require time.
A door swung open, illuminating the room from the outside, before a man dressed in a three-piece suit walked in. He was tall figure, resembling Fredrick only in the face and hair, he however kept himself well groomed and preferred to keep a more toned body as apposed to the bulkier frame that Fred once had.
“Amanda, You have again picked up another unhealthy habbit. It might become your undoing, you should pick up healthier habbits.”
“You’re starting to sound like father William.”
The sound of ice clanking against glass rang for a moment,as she lifted it up from the table, gently pressing the glass against her lips before taking in the cold hard drink.
“Are the preparations underway? ”
“Yes, construction is already underway, to the locals it’ll be nothing but factory, for weapons manufacturing and medical equipment. We hired many of the locals to dig out what we need, and of course they have all been thoroughly vetted.”
“Good. Does the family know that this plan will take a long time?”
“Of course. Though they may not like some of the ideas they know that they should put their trust into you, that being said if you fail you’ll bring disgrace to our family name, and expunged, everything about your past present and future will cease to exist.”
10 long years had passed, 10 long years, in those years she had a Quincy R&D team working on producing various items for her quincy faction, One such development was Reshi armor plating. On its own it was able to survive the attacks from soldat level test subjects; however when placed upon an individual with the same power level the armor acted as intended, protecting the user from such attacks with narrowly a scratch on it. Stronger test subjects had to use a little more force to break through the armor, and had a repeat once they were up against their own level.
“Reports of the priests reiatsu has caused structural damage to foundation, and walls.”
A long pause came from the figure standing upon a rooftop, wearing armor that was developed by Eto’s quincy division, full on gas masks that served to both protect the identities of those on watch, with the added benefit of filtering biohazardous partials in the air . Several others stood behind the man who had their hand pressed against an ear piece dressed in a similar manner.
“Are you sure?!?! Understood…”
A sigh came out before his arm lifted up and pointed down, to the front of the bar. Two large figures leapt towards the streets, landing hard enough to crack the pavement with just the sheer weight alone, causing dust and debris to fly in the air, covering them up. A whirling sound could be heard, before a torrent of bullets, causing the air around them to push the dust and debris away from to reveal two large and heavily armored figures. One had kept their fire directly on Blume and Dominic while the other shredded and leveled anything they could hide behind inside the bar.
“Direct orders are to not engage unless necessary, this is a test for the heavy units and how well they fare against stronger enemies. Do not allow yourself to get caught, if you do you only have one option.”
The rest of the figures who had been on the roof would nod before disappearing to relocate themselves far enough from the fight to not be detected but close enough to observe the situation at hand.
