“This... is hardly my only purpose.”
Confusion laced his words and she could understand why. Anyone would be confused and startled when the person one is trying to kill finds enjoyment in it like this. Though, she was unsure if she could label it enjoyment. Outside of her purpose to unite the Quincy one more, she particularly liked it when they showed a bit of resistance. It was something that revealed they weren’t just there to gain power and status, two things she was capable of giving them at the snap of a finger.
Even with her known position, those that continued to attack her had some sort of gusto she liked to see, though it was disappointing to watch that life snuffed out of their eyes when they killed themselves like those quincy she had Dominic personally deal with. With this one in her arms, she could have wasted him away in ease, yet she was here to allow him to roam free, even after the attempt at her life.
If killing her was not his only purpose, then who was she to stop him in his tracks? She was merciful, yet it would go unsaid that this would be the only time in which she would do this single favor for him. He was nowhere at the level where he could kill her, not yet at least. Blume would make the most of him before he would ever get the chance to again.
“I yield...”
“That’s a good boy.”

Those words were Jeuno's last before his consciousness escaped him. Blume felt his form go slack and she pulled him deep into the shadows and appeared back beside Dominic in a near instant. He hadn’t gone anywhere, thankfully, and she emerged from the shadows behind him with Jeuno in her arms. He was alive, merely exhausted of his energy that it would take him a few days to fully gain his reiryoku reserves back to perform whatever it was she would want him to do. Looking down at the smaller form, she knew that he would have to show some form of subservience before she granted him any sort of position. For now, she would put him with someone that would keep an eye on him for the time being. The shadow stayed open, and she handed Jeuno off to Dominic and held her arm out towards the open gate.
“Take him to Silbern and give him to Lukas. He’ll be directly under his care, but I want you to monitor him as well to make sure Lukas doesn’t kill him and inform him of tonight’s events. All the material from earlier should be on his desk. I have things to take care of, so I’ll be alone for the time being. Make sure to rest, and if you need to go anywhere outside of Silbern, Mia will make a path for you.”
After he leaves, Blume casts her own shadow to appear in her bedroom of the Diamante Manor. She is alone, save for the quiet bustling of the Gemischt that kept the space clean outside in the hallways. Normally, Mia would be here to undress her, but she wanted to be alone for the time being. Down goes the zipper of the dress and out comes the pins in her hair that kept it up in her up-do fashion, her long, two-toned locs unraveling and cascading like a waterfall down her back. The dress sheds from her skin in tandem and pools around her feet that quickly rids themselves of her heels.
She is quick to start a bath for herself, letting the soap bubbles pile up one right after the other. While she waits for it to fill the large tub, there is a gentle buzzing that catches her attention and where she places her phone, it lights up with a single notification. Tapping at the screen with her thumb, she sees the little lightning emote with text following it. She exhaled softly, and while she knew that he had his duties to tend to, Blume still couldn’t help being annoyed that it had taken this long.
Code:
[b]"I'm sorry for not responding as quickly, you know I've been busy with these new responsibilities lol
I'll let you know when I can go to Naruki City, with no "extra luggage" I've been wanting to see you to..
How's your day been going?"[/b]
Their relationship had brought a rush to Blume’s busy life, one she had enjoyed, but even she could sense the quiet urgency of having to end it or the both of them would be in danger. Yet she rather enjoyed this secrecy, the chance at being found out was exhilarating, but it could very well cost them their lives, and maybe death was something she could handle, but for someone she cared about was another story. Yet she continues, and types back a reply as she settles into the tub, the warmth of the water earning a gentle sigh as her muscles begin to relax.
Code:
[b] “I understand, there’s no need for an explanation.
I had a bit of trouble today, but it was handled pretty easily.
Don’t worry too much about me. I’m sure your work requires more attention during this time.
I’ll be traveling a lot more between Karakura and Naruki here and there, so do just let me know.”[/b]
She puts the phone down behind her and sinks further into the steamy water and stares absentmindedly at the ceiling above her. She recounts the day's events, from Stephania’s runway excursion, to the lettering of the priest, to the bullet barrage, and finally to the last-assault from that boy. It was a shame that she didn’t get his name before he had succumbed to his reiryoku depletion, but she would find out sooner or later once he woke up. Recovering in the Schatten Bereich would go much faster than it would have in the World of the Living due to the abundance of reishi available to absorb and replenish themselves with. While she hadn't done a lot today, she felt drained, but she just counted it towards the events that happened in quick succession, one right after the other.
A gentle sigh escapes, and she rises from the bath, having cleansed herself rather nicely during her recap. Dressing herself in loose and silky garments, she falls into her bed with a gentle thwump as her body hits the mattress, bouncing from impact. Her phone rested in her hand just in case someone had called or texted her, she would've been woken up by the vibrations or ringtone. Slowly did she slip into slumber. For someone of her stature, she sure slept soundly and rather carelessly, but she had eyes everywhere, at all times. The Quincy were always on high alert when their Empress slept, and one in particular took it upon himself to keep watch as his creator slept. On her, on Dominic, on Lukas, on Jeuno, on Dimitri, on anyone that shared his blood... In her place, he would keep the world he knew as safe as he could make it.

Dominic’s attention on the fight was on and off as he spent more time surveying the area for additional threats. Too many times tonight have they been shot at but to consider this an attack would be an overstatement. It’s like throwing a few light jabs to get a feel for an opponent, nothing too threatening and nothing that will show what you are fully capable of, just enough to get a reaction from the other person. Personally he does not think he has shown anything too damning. He looks on to see Blume moving from shadow to shadow and this too is nothing damning, ingenious for sure, using the shadows to cover vast distances until she is close enough to the target to get a better sense of them. Dominic was curious about that bullet, it was a normal round, nothing spiritual about it. Was it just a shot in the dark? The strategy of it to be precise, the off chance that the Empress’ guard was so relaxed that an ordinary round could put an end to her. It surely was a good plan if that was the case, or was there something more to the round?
Lost in the thought of trying to figure out why this assailant fired at them with an ordinary gun he feels a twinge in his body, a response to the sensation of something invading his space. It was caused by the return of Blume, the young man was still on guard and so her return caused him to flinch, even though it was a subtle one. For the first time he gets a look at this new would be assassin and raises an eyebrow, they didn’t seem to dress like the ones from before perhaps a contracted killer hired by them? Perhaps they were tasked with dealing the final blow while the others were to create an opening. He sighs as he feels like he is over thinking it but with his task being to guard and protect Blume he has to think of things like this to prevent them in the future.
This new person is handed to him, he hesitates for a second before taking them and carrying them on his shoulder. He has reluctance when it comes to aiding someone who threatened Blume's life but in a way this is good. Whenever they awaken he’ll have plenty of time to interrogate them, he’ll mostly want names, who hired them and most of all why.
”Roger that, I’ll probably hangout in Silbern until our guest here wakes up. I have some questions of my own to ask.”

Dominic steps into the shadow making his way to the Quincy home dimension. This has certainly been an exhausting night, mentally. The concept of rest is now a foriegn one to him, especially since he acquired his Letter, he could probably stay awake, through exercise and all, until the person he is carrying wakes up. The only downside to this is that he will get bored, so perhaps sleep is still good for fast forwarding the days a bit.

Warped by darkness, he is yet again revealed in the light of his home, his church. He is left to his own devices, to the people that remain asleep even now, or so he had thought. A pair of eyes from beneath a blanket open, peering out towards Dimitri. Not a peep nor a sound escapes this young child who remains still and observant, that is until Dimitri’s own gaze turns towards him. In a moment of cowardice, the child hides his gaze from him, covering himself with the blanket and as a response, Dimitri can only smile before turning towards the altar. His steady steps make sure not to awake anyone else. Considered to be alone, despite the encounter from earlier, Dimitri seats himself appropriately and clasps his hands together silently. Bowing his head, he begins to pray.
“ I have accepted another, my Lord. A woman who holds great power, and possibly even greater allies. I ask that you watch over her, as those who may stand close to her today, may fall away tomorrow. I ask that you grant me the strength to remain in this world a little while longer and give me the will to resume my training in order to battle what may lie ahead in the future.
My Lord please look after those in my stead, watch over those who have suffered, no matter how small or how great the pain. May you guide them to a feeling of peace in this world and in the next.”

Standing, Dimitri bows his head and as many would do before even him, he’d hope that his prayer would be answered. However, in this current time, the will he sought to resume his training after so long will have to be snuffed out, but the elderly man soon yawns, patting his open maw as he does so, and his determination to begin training, dwindles.
" It seems training will have to begin in the morning…”
He approaches stairs that lead to his bedroom, but upon his walk, he reminisces the events from before. The item that Blume holds. The letter she placed upon him. Her subordinates. They have truly been working hard to make things happen, to uphold their own advancements, and to maintain their control. It has been so long since he has seen such a well-organized unit of Quincy, and even a leader such as Blume regardless of how young she may be.
Entering his room, Dimitri removes his robes, revealing a lean and muscular body. Flesh sculpted from years of constant physical exercise and regimens. It seems that he has not been slacking off too hard. However, such a well-toned build is not without scars, and many decorate his body. Quickly his frame is covered by bed sheets and covers. Immersed within the comfort of his room, but his eyes did not close but instead peer into a book, flipping to the next chapter. He decides to educate his mind further, before falling asleep entirely...

These clouds had a gentle drift, but all in all, they were the same giant fluffy escapes of reality as the ones in the Seireitei.
His watch was going smooth over Karakura town; he and his corps members wore the Reiatsu concealing cloaks given to them for their watch. Tenzen had asked Kiku to maintain surveillance, So masking his reiatsu along with the concealing cloak kept him and the members he was commanding over invisible.
Kiku and the Corps came into zero contact with other Shinigami and thus far any enemies as well. Twenty-four times on the hour, a message was sent to Kiku from every member set out in a vast web, set perfectly in place to maintain a one hundred percent visual of Karakura. Twenty-four times on the hour, Kiku sent a message to Captain Oda directly; if the message was to his direct phone or one he used now for missions was unknown to Kiku, it was simply the contact he was supposed to use.

A call, this was odd. The members were under direct orders not to use their phones unless the Corps made essential discoveries in the living world.
" Yes. "
That was all Kiku said; the member on the other line started to report in hushed tones that there were signals of Denreishinki usage among the living world. This information had made Kiku raise a brow, and under his facemask, he made a frown.
" Interesting, if you find the signal active, trace it and see if you can intercept any, and I mean all data, like texts or pictures. "
With a sharp yes, sir, the phone call had ended in under three seconds. Kiku pondered this information for a while before moving to another location in his sector. He might have to request to enter Naruki city to see if the signal reaches that far as well. No matter the cause, He was under the impression he was the only Shinigami out here.
Kiku would send a message to Captain Oda with the following.
Code:
[b]" So far so good.
The area has shown no signs of activity.
Reports of phone usage have been collected.
Requesting to investigate. "[/b]
With that, he would slide the phone securely into his pockets and continue to watch the area.
