“So… any plan of attack? I prefer to be midrange in this. I'll try to keep it suppressed under fire.”
“Plan?”
Ah, that’s right. Far too knowledgeable of what could be done to the threat, Blume had managed to forgo thinking of the exact style of which these three combatants were capable of performing. For all she could glimpse at Silas, he just moved like an ordinary Quincy. The same went for Fred. The standard bow and arrow were what she witnessed from afar and personally, but there was always something that could be lying deep within… Her curiosity was getting the better of her, but the dilemma was on who to focus on. As for Dominic, Blume had an idea of what was possible for him, but taking the pieces of his admission and familiarity of mixed martial arts, it was a no-brainer that this particular man handled things rather closely.
Ah. Mia was still here. She could keep an eye on two of them while Blume observed the other. Placed at her side since her primary school years, Mia had an idea of what her lady was thinking most of the time. The distant look that Blume possessed meant that she was deep in thought on how to oversee the newest addition to her faction, and what to get out of both Dominic Kaiser and the yet-to-be-allied Fredrick Elbeck. However, there was still the extra piece in all of this.
Silas Mikoto.
It was obvious since they’d first met that chaotic night in Naruki, Silas was in search of something, planning things that the spiritually aware could only prepare for. But how far would he get without showing his face? Like Dominic, Fred, Shimura, Avillio, and even that cook, Tsukune, Blume had taken the liberty of keeping tabs of their beings, though nothing too invasive that it would begin bad blood. Among them, even Silas was taken into account, and it was observing him since their first meeting that Blume very well had an idea of just what he was doing roaming the streets of Naruki.
It was clear that he wanted the same thing that she desired: the Throne.
Plenty of Quincy were. The yearning to stand at the top was at an all-time high since the survivors from the Thousand Year Blood War managed to escape back into the human world. Since returning, the Quincy had tried to begin building back a plan of revenge, but with no Emperor to lead them, individuals had tried to step up, only to be fought against. The cycle neverending, civil wars began. Factions were created, and the bloodshed rained like a storm. Quincy became one another's enemies and nearly forgot about the other parties like Shinigami and Arrancar. At any point in time, either race could begin a war, and the longer that the Quincy were at war with themselves, the more at risk they were to being completely annihilated.
So a peace treaty was made. No Quincy would ever raise another hand against another they come across. Should another war be on the rise, each family would send their strongest candidates to fight against one another to decide exactly who would lead. This is why gatherings were held. Building relationships meant that each family would have their supporter, and especially in upper-class families, marriage pacts were most common to create the perfect candidate… A deep exhale escaped the young head. Difficulties have begun to climb these walls that were formed since days of old. No… Could she even call them walls? Raising her head, she stared right on ahead. They’d be getting--
“Ah...”
“GRRAAAAAAAARRRGGGHHH!!!”
There is a rush of wind that blows through the quiet town of Karakura that does not go unnoticed by the spiritually aware. And the pained roars escaping this monstrous being was startling. Whipping her head around, the platform came to a sudden stop, possibly sending both Fred and Dominic stumbling off the platform, but with Mia there, she’d catch and settle them back upright. Eyes glowing bright blue, Blume Diamante followed the trace of the towering blue pillar that beamed into the sky.
“Mia.”
“Yes, my lady.”
“Take these two and deal with the other threat. I will stay here. Watch each other’s backs.”
“Right away. Please be safe.”
Breaking herself away from the group, Blume dropped down from the platform and sent shooting in the direction of the blue pillar. Arms crossing beneath her bust, the soles of her feet became shielded in golden light and she began skating once more in the direction of Silas Mikoto and the hollow once more.
Schnelles Skaten was a specialty that Blume managed to create this special hirenkyaku ability all to her own. Moving as nimble as a dancer, Blume touched down amongst one of the buildings that surrounded the site of the hollow’s appearance. Something light lightning crashed in an attempt to spear the beast out of the sky, and in preparation, Silas was prepared, spirit weapon loaded and in position.
“Silas is just up ahead and already engaged with the hollow. It has already dispatched two shinigami and appears to be some form of a large bat. Don’t hesitate to give it your all as we’ve been sure to remove any remaining civilians from the immediate area.”
Being approached by this individual that worked beneath Silas, Blume only offered a smile and returned her attention back up the action in front of her. Surely he expected more than just her, but such was not the case anymore. The need to spread out was necessary seeing as that there were multiple threats.
“Don’t worry. I’m merely here as an observer.”
Such a response… Was she really intent on not lending a hand? What reason did she have to show all of her cards to a potential enemy? She’d allow him to have his chance at fifteen minutes of fame, however, should he fail, it only meant that one of her problems were out of the way and that she would have to clean up the mess in the end after all. Hearing the distant crashing of that hollow meant that some form of contact was made. The smell of iron was thick as it wafted in the air. Eyes resting on the figure illuminated by his own aura, Blume found herself gliding just a few steps closer to where he stood, peering over the ledge in the direction of the beast.
“Hey, hey, he’s getting away. What are you going to do about it, Mr. Mikoto?” The tone of her voice was rather condescending and the look in her eyes even more so.
“You should make a move, or more innocent people are going to die.”
Meanwhile, Mia, Dominic, and Fred would’ve just reached the site of the blue pillar of light. Mia was the first to lead the two into the situation.
“Dominic Kaiser, this will be your first task as my lady’s hand. Please work with Fredrick Elbeck to get rid of this threat as efficiently as possible. I will observe from afar, acting as a last resort to flee if this proves to be too much for either of you.”
Would they question Mia? Or would they do as they were instructed to against this beast that threatened their way of life?
