He looked straight into the eyes of the devil himself. Not a religious man by any means, god fearing was one thing that Han was not. Death-Gods, or as they are affectionately called,
”Soul Reapers”, was a race of being he never truly felt the need to concern himself with. While they despised the existence of he and his kind that were born from the disasters that their sworn enemies, the Hollows. Standing here before Max reminded him of all the pious and fearful things his forefathers and extended family had either worried themselves sick over, or just walked gracefully in the name of the
”One True God”. Such foolishness never concerned Han’ei for many reasons, as he was much more of a believer in man than an all-powerful and supposedly omnipotent being. When he looked at the God-King of Hueco Mundo, he failed to see the God, as he was positive that the God of all hollows could reduce his attire to something so cheap as a loincloth. But he wasn’t concerned about the appearances of gods and men, he was more worried about how this partnership can be as lucrative as possible for both of their respective sides. Hearing aloud of Stepahnia’s own wants prior to his own like-minded approach to this partnership, favoring the survival of the company and its assets, while also trying to expand their growth for a solid foundation for the future of what this partnership may evolve into.
"Do not misunderstand me, while I do accept the partnership, and we certainly appreciate the escort to Hueco Mundo, I have no intention of permanently leaving Naruki City. Clearly, as we can see today, the shinigami troops appear to have dwindled, and there is a void we are looking to fill by taking over the safeguarding of this city.” he watched her leave her seat to continue her thoughts, while the pale God removed his gaze from the mass gathering of Shinigami in a distant corner of the city. This was without a doubt the most important meeting they’ve had thus far.
"If we were all to suddenly disappear, the Shinigami would undoubtedly see that as suspicious and seek to kill us on sight. While most of those that come to this world die before accomplishing much, there is sure to be one or two that will be able to... connect the dots, if you will. If I can manage to secure a sort of... parley, they'll be more inclined to trust us, making our goals much easier to achieve. Their numbers are small, they cannot protect the entire city, and we don't need to." although she claimed not to be much of a war strategist, the two seemed to compliment the other well with what one lacked, the other had in spades. The Fullbringers were not obligated to protect the city, furthermore, if they were to craft their own items made from material found strictly within a space high in spiritual density such as Hueco Mundo. They’d be better able to equip themselves for future and inevitable conflict. He already had a list of items that could be created, he just never had a direct source to acquire the material from, but now that problem seems to have solved itself.
After expressing his own thoughts and opinions, his business partner rejoiced in approval. The God amongst
’ants’ appeared to have little qualms with the suggestion either. So far, this was going more according to plan than expected. That was until…
CRRAAAAASSSHHHH!!!
Puzzles of broken glass littered the airspace within the room of plotting individuals, seemingly untouched by the debris, Han remained unfazed by both the sudden entrance and the flying shrapnel, as the glass would seemingly shred his body on his exposed skin, but easily deflects off of his body as if he were bulletproof. A full-body shield, created by the simple conjuration of his own mind, built on the pristine mastery of his own fullbring abilities. Child’s play. He merely looked back at the armor-clad individual, the dark of his glasses covered it well, but Han’s irises were missing, signifying he was ready for battle, having his fists clenched simply awaiting the word of Stephania to spring into action. Luckily, his Seamstress didn’t require his aid at this moment. Her reiatsu blinding the inhabitants within the room except for the God-King and himself, who would begin to find himself in a fit of laughter.
“I’m here on behalf of Stephania”
"ON BEHALF OF WHO?!"
Should the man have been unprepared for the consequences of his outburst and actions, he’d have simply fallen from the gaping opening he had created in the window and fall some tens of stories as quickly he had entered. Based on the lack of additional excitement coming from the public, he figured that Stephania didn’t allow him to fall to his death, or he just hadn’t reached the ground yet. She moved ever so swiftly and gracefully, even signaling Yayoi downstairs to spring into action to help divert attention away from the building. With the light of her reiatsu dimming Han looked to Both the Seamstress and then the God-King and finally to his assistant. He had no words but he knew that this meeting was now over, he had heard all he needed to hear from the King and figured he and Steph would discuss events further in detail later on, in private. He began to walk out of the room with his assistant in tow, but not before Max finished his discussion with Super Soldier about the expedition to Hueco Mundo.
“Before we were interrupted I was going to say I agree with your idea Amigo, furthermore you should be the one to choose your own plot of land. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I believe there is no place more beautiful than my home, given the architecture of your cities you humans may think the opposite. That said, bring additional communicators, my scientist is level headed enough to work with and you both could combine your minds and technologies to, first, establish a line of communication so we won't have to travel back and forth between worlds, and second, whatever your hearts desire to aid in battles or survival.” the businessman turned back at the proposition and was impressed with how agreeable the God of monsters was. He wondered what he truly sought in life, he wondered what made this
creature truly feel alive. Everyone had goals, but he was curious to know what were his. He had more to add clearly.
”Today is probably not a good day to go to Hueco Mundo, things are too… caótico (Chaotic). We will plan a day and time to bring you over, I also need to brief my Scientist on this exchange as well as he will most likely be the one you will deal with on that day. As for now…” Nodding his head in agreement. The variables were up in the air at this point, a lot of existential enemies in the area complicated the silent moves being made by the company. It would need to be smart and navigated correctly.
“My new partners, no, mis primos. You are bringing attention to yourselves, so to ensure you don’t meet an early end due to these silly Shinigami I will take the attention off of you. Consider discussions over for today, no need to worry about my Gigai, I will collect it upon my return to Hueco Mundo, although… You may lose another window. My apologies for that in advance. And now… Time for me to have some fun.”
And just like that, the devil was gone.
Han still had his back turned to the room, Stephania still holding the newcomer in place. He gave her his final remarks before leaving to prepare for his trip to the White Desert.
“Well it would seem that we got a lot done today than we originally planned. I'm going to go ahead and greenlight the expansion arsenal we’ve had shelved for a while. Now that we have a source, mass production will be easier than ever. I also have a few theories I would like to try out…” he didn’t go into detail on what he was thinking but she could imagine where his head was at with all of that information taken in, especially as of the last conversation they shared. He also wanted to make sure he voiced his opinion on the intruder that entered the building unconventionally, while she saw him as a quick nuisance, Han saw more of an opportunity.
“I think it’d be best to keep Kimura alive. At least for now, but. You and I know you’ll do what you need to do anyway. But we are going to need figureheads at some point or another. Be it faux or intentional.” was all he had to say. Finally taking his leave from the
proper exit. Almost immediately he was on the phone with the R/D department to begin production of the unveiled projects that had yet to be hatched. While Han himself began a mental checklist, the first being to kick start production, the next to hatch a brand new invention he had already plotted and the last to prepare for his trip to Hueco Mundo. Whenever that may take place.
He had already arrived at the lobby of the building and by the time he had reached the ground floor his car was waiting for him with his two other assistants opening and closing his doors as he entered while still mid phone call. Transferring the call to the car’s bluetooth while he pressed a button on middle console of the vehicle, that transformed his side of the car into a holographic office, complete with a keyboard, three screens and real time data recording from all testing and development facilities across Naruki associated with both the S.A.F.E. Agency and Stephania Brand. When asked where he was headed, the Soldier had a simple reply.
“The promised Land.”
It was surely a busy day for the Fullbringers
