It had only been a matter of seconds as Jinnosuke used shunpo to enter close quarters with several hollows. The monsters would pause briefly before bursting at the seams, gore raining down below—a hard-to-read swipe of his right arm and a pull of his fingers.

Jinnosuke's chain length came to rest at his side with his left hand remaining in his pocket. As if his right arm never left its bent position holding his massive Shikai over his right shoulder. A smile would finally creep onto The Devil's face. A blur once more, his shunpo roared like thunder as he let his limited reiatsu flare.

He was now near the ground level of Naruki; hollows were converging on a group of vehicles.

" Oh, does it feel good to finally let loose against something that isn't made to look like a straw dummy. "

He enjoyed the moment so much that he drowned out the others but near forty feet away or more. It was at this moment. His left hand left his pocket and clung to the center of his chest. He was extending it out with a thrust, a red flare formed from his two extended fingers. This action sent the Kido, Shakkaho, flying threw the midsection of most of the creatures swarming the van. Some news logo was on the side for Naruki.

The remaining two met the swift swipe of the ball end of Jinnosuke's chain. Retracting the massive length again, Jinnosuke looked back to see how his allies faired as the body of the hollows hit the asphalt.

Jinnosuke didn't have to see the detail to get this thing's strength. Shunpoing back as the others leaped into action, Jinnosuke was met with a massive wave of spiritual pressure, mixed in a sick spiral of familiar allies and strange foes. Next was an explosion of dust and materials from the building below Shizuka, Izanagi, and Shoumetsu. Jinnosuke leaped up further into the air, taking this time to shunpo once again above the others as he was late for their attacks.

Taking a breath, he calmed himself, continuing to watch the aftermath of the first strike. Izanagi had dashed off, and Shizuka saved both him and Shoumetsu. They were showing they could at least work together. That was a good sign, at least. Then their reiatsu spiked once more; combating the invaders, they launched an attack that appeared to send the Arrancar flying into a crater below.

Scanning the area, it appeared to him that both Shizuka and Shoumetsu had entered their Shikai state.

" Interesting, this thing means business then. I'll be damned. "
Jinnosuke's spirit pressure reaches the capacity on the ear-ring limiters, and the Limiter seal the Senkaimon places on them as they pass through hit. As he shunpos' down towards Shizuka and Shoumetsu. No time for talk; he knew the game plan and would look over to them individually while he had the time.

Feeling the Electricity and Electromagnetic pulses in the air strangely allowed Jinosuke to focus and maintain concentration; he watched the dust from the attacks and concentrated on Shizuka and Shoumetsu's Spirit pressure at any moment this Arrancar could attack. It was apparent that this fight would level the city.
Jinnosuke motioned, by turning his head towards the clouds, to take the fight higher, past the clouds and further. This thing wanted the battle so that it might give a good chase.

" Let's go! "

With a thrust, he would no longer be in the spot he once was; it was probably for the best they vacated that spot immediately. Not willing to be surprised by anything, Jinnosuke went zig-zagging randomly without pattern into the sky away from the city below. " Don't be predictable and watch your ass! "

Gathering of Cowards

The building collapses around them, debris falling down to the ground below and mixed within this debris are three Shinigami and one Arrancar. With a malicious smile on his face the pale Hollow watches his would be opponents, awaiting for them to attack while his vision is obscured by debris, a handicap he gave himself to enjoy the fight a bit more, however, fear had gripped their heart more tightly than he could have thought. Instead of capitalizing with an all out attack they, or rather the Lieutenant, decided to relocate away from him. He laughs as his eyes shift towards the direction they chose to flee in. As his feet touch the ground below he releases another pulse of Reiatsu to annihilate the rest of the falling building that would land on his head, not that it would have harmed him in the slightest. He stares in their direction, silently watching as they have not fully retreated. He becomes curious about their actions, what sort of plan are they formulating?

The plan becomes known as one of the Shinigami darts off, yelling into a device about needing backup and that they are facing a “high-level threat”. Ignorance, his report is based on that and that alone, however, given the fact he chose to run instead of fight means he is no more than a coward, a weakling who would leave his comrades to die. There was another though, one with a large sword who chose to dart into the sky. Max raises a brow, confused about this action, did he think that the Arrancar would give chase to a weakling who would run into the sky? No, not yet, he will first focus on those who want to die a warrior's death, the two who have more gaul to face down an insurmountable threat with hope that they may succeed.

”You are too loud Amigos.”

Time to Play a Game

All that speed that Lieutenant possessed is undone by the fact he was announcing his arrival then entire trip towards Max. All that lightning, all that Reiatsu, nothing more than an early warning system. If there is one thing Max has done it is learn, he has learned from his subjects and the same pest comes to mind regarding feats of speed, Helliodoro. The more he fights against his own kin, the more he learns, the more creative he gets with his own powers and abilities. Had Shizuka been more intelligent in his attack he would have prepared it mid-Shunpo so that by the time he appeared the attack would already be in motion, no, he chose to appear then prep, markings of a complete amateur. The blind lead the blind as his comrade follows close behind him, “charging” him and his attack, it adds to the “noise” the Reiatsu dancing in the air, the crackling of lightning bleeding across the sky towards Max’s direction. The moment Shizuka appeared overhead, Max would vanish and reappear over Shoumetsu and him, a hand glowing royal purple. He twists his hand and fires off a Bala, an attack that is twenty times faster than a Cero, but not nearly as strong as one, this last part would not matter. Caught up in their own double attack moving at their speed and being chased by something moving faster than them the first to fall would be Shoumetsu.

The Bala engulfs him near instantly creating an explosion that would rival that of a Cero , further demonstrating the strength of this monster they were fighting. What would remain of the third seat would be no more than a broken body, limbs destroyed, and torso bursting open leaving a trail of singed or burnt entrails behind him as he fell and most likely landed on Shizuka below him. Then in the next moment, Max was gone from that location…

Izanagi’s mind was split, fractured by the hopelessness that is indecision. To aid his comrades or go after what is inside the tower. Max made a promise to his kin that he would get the Shinigami off their tail, though Izanagi’s thought process is unbeknownst to Max. Then it creeps in before he can make a decision, spiraling in from the outside, closing in around Izanagi until he is gripped by it, the weight of Maximiliano’s Reiatsu. For most Reiatsu is the force felt from the release of one’s Reiryoku, for Max releasing his Reiatsu is a direct attack. The gripping Tension of the God King’s Reiatsu is felt in full when his booming Sonido reverberates off of his spine once more, appearing behind the unfocused man and before he can turn around there is a violent explosion, one that annihilates a block of Naruki city. It is an explosion meant to exterminate fodder, those unfit to stand on the same battlefield as the God King.

Smoke and debris litter the area, like Shoumetsu, there will be something left to bury although it is no more than a torso with a head and half an arm remaining attached to it. The culprit behind this is nowhere to be seen. In the sky, a man zigs and zags in what he believes to be a random pattern but the art of Zig-zagging itself is not random, it is formulaic and opposite of random. The next thing Jinnosuke would see as he zagged is the glowing royal purple fist of the Arrancar, striking his head with enough force to shatter his skull and send him spiraling back to the ground below, crashing into it and making a crater in the ground, but not before Max reappears out of his Sonido first. Yes Max returns to the ground before the Eleventh Division Lieutenant has a chance to crash into it. Meanwhile Shizuka’s attack would finally go off, gouging a hole into the ground with a mighty slash.

In the time it took for Shizuka to prepare and launch his attack, Max launched three of his own in three separate locations on three different targets. Clearly these movements were not instantaneous but it showed how one would prepare an attack while moving instead of what the foolish Lieutenant did. While the Tenth Division Lieutenant would try to see if his attack landed true a powerful royal purple cero would roar through the smoke and engulf him in an explosion that would gouge out even more land from Naruki City. The Cero was immediately fired the moment Max reappeared, holding his index and middle finger together to fire the blast. Unlike the others there would be nothing left of him to bury, unless someone came along to scoop up the ashes that remained. Max did not struggle against a Shinigami as an Adjucha and now as an Arrancar it is even more trivial. Is this all the Soul Society had to offer? Four of their top tier warriors ragdolled and decimated in mere moments without the slightest bit of effort being exerted. He waits for the smoke to settle to see if they can prove themselves to not be as pitiful as he once thought.

He looked straight into the eyes of the devil himself. Not a religious man by any means, god fearing was one thing that Han was not. Death-Gods, or as they are affectionately called, ”Soul Reapers”, was a race of being he never truly felt the need to concern himself with. While they despised the existence of he and his kind that were born from the disasters that their sworn enemies, the Hollows. Standing here before Max reminded him of all the pious and fearful things his forefathers and extended family had either worried themselves sick over, or just walked gracefully in the name of the ”One True God”. Such foolishness never concerned Han’ei for many reasons, as he was much more of a believer in man than an all-powerful and supposedly omnipotent being. When he looked at the God-King of Hueco Mundo, he failed to see the God, as he was positive that the God of all hollows could reduce his attire to something so cheap as a loincloth. But he wasn’t concerned about the appearances of gods and men, he was more worried about how this partnership can be as lucrative as possible for both of their respective sides. Hearing aloud of Stepahnia’s own wants prior to his own like-minded approach to this partnership, favoring the survival of the company and its assets, while also trying to expand their growth for a solid foundation for the future of what this partnership may evolve into.

"Do not misunderstand me, while I do accept the partnership, and we certainly appreciate the escort to Hueco Mundo, I have no intention of permanently leaving Naruki City. Clearly, as we can see today, the shinigami troops appear to have dwindled, and there is a void we are looking to fill by taking over the safeguarding of this city.” he watched her leave her seat to continue her thoughts, while the pale God removed his gaze from the mass gathering of Shinigami in a distant corner of the city. This was without a doubt the most important meeting they’ve had thus far. "If we were all to suddenly disappear, the Shinigami would undoubtedly see that as suspicious and seek to kill us on sight. While most of those that come to this world die before accomplishing much, there is sure to be one or two that will be able to... connect the dots, if you will. If I can manage to secure a sort of... parley, they'll be more inclined to trust us, making our goals much easier to achieve. Their numbers are small, they cannot protect the entire city, and we don't need to." although she claimed not to be much of a war strategist, the two seemed to compliment the other well with what one lacked, the other had in spades. The Fullbringers were not obligated to protect the city, furthermore, if they were to craft their own items made from material found strictly within a space high in spiritual density such as Hueco Mundo. They’d be better able to equip themselves for future and inevitable conflict. He already had a list of items that could be created, he just never had a direct source to acquire the material from, but now that problem seems to have solved itself.

After expressing his own thoughts and opinions, his business partner rejoiced in approval. The God amongst ’ants’ appeared to have little qualms with the suggestion either. So far, this was going more according to plan than expected. That was until…

CRRAAAAASSSHHHH!!!

Puzzles of broken glass littered the airspace within the room of plotting individuals, seemingly untouched by the debris, Han remained unfazed by both the sudden entrance and the flying shrapnel, as the glass would seemingly shred his body on his exposed skin, but easily deflects off of his body as if he were bulletproof. A full-body shield, created by the simple conjuration of his own mind, built on the pristine mastery of his own fullbring abilities. Child’s play. He merely looked back at the armor-clad individual, the dark of his glasses covered it well, but Han’s irises were missing, signifying he was ready for battle, having his fists clenched simply awaiting the word of Stephania to spring into action. Luckily, his Seamstress didn’t require his aid at this moment. Her reiatsu blinding the inhabitants within the room except for the God-King and himself, who would begin to find himself in a fit of laughter.

“I’m here on behalf of Stephania”

"ON BEHALF OF WHO?!"

Should the man have been unprepared for the consequences of his outburst and actions, he’d have simply fallen from the gaping opening he had created in the window and fall some tens of stories as quickly he had entered. Based on the lack of additional excitement coming from the public, he figured that Stephania didn’t allow him to fall to his death, or he just hadn’t reached the ground yet. She moved ever so swiftly and gracefully, even signaling Yayoi downstairs to spring into action to help divert attention away from the building. With the light of her reiatsu dimming Han looked to Both the Seamstress and then the God-King and finally to his assistant. He had no words but he knew that this meeting was now over, he had heard all he needed to hear from the King and figured he and Steph would discuss events further in detail later on, in private. He began to walk out of the room with his assistant in tow, but not before Max finished his discussion with Super Soldier about the expedition to Hueco Mundo.

“Before we were interrupted I was going to say I agree with your idea Amigo, furthermore you should be the one to choose your own plot of land. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I believe there is no place more beautiful than my home, given the architecture of your cities you humans may think the opposite. That said, bring additional communicators, my scientist is level headed enough to work with and you both could combine your minds and technologies to, first, establish a line of communication so we won't have to travel back and forth between worlds, and second, whatever your hearts desire to aid in battles or survival.” the businessman turned back at the proposition and was impressed with how agreeable the God of monsters was. He wondered what he truly sought in life, he wondered what made this creature truly feel alive. Everyone had goals, but he was curious to know what were his. He had more to add clearly. ”Today is probably not a good day to go to Hueco Mundo, things are too… caótico (Chaotic). We will plan a day and time to bring you over, I also need to brief my Scientist on this exchange as well as he will most likely be the one you will deal with on that day. As for now…” Nodding his head in agreement. The variables were up in the air at this point, a lot of existential enemies in the area complicated the silent moves being made by the company. It would need to be smart and navigated correctly. “My new partners, no, mis primos. You are bringing attention to yourselves, so to ensure you don’t meet an early end due to these silly Shinigami I will take the attention off of you. Consider discussions over for today, no need to worry about my Gigai, I will collect it upon my return to Hueco Mundo, although… You may lose another window. My apologies for that in advance. And now… Time for me to have some fun.”

And just like that, the devil was gone.

Han still had his back turned to the room, Stephania still holding the newcomer in place. He gave her his final remarks before leaving to prepare for his trip to the White Desert. “Well it would seem that we got a lot done today than we originally planned. I'm going to go ahead and greenlight the expansion arsenal we’ve had shelved for a while. Now that we have a source, mass production will be easier than ever. I also have a few theories I would like to try out…” he didn’t go into detail on what he was thinking but she could imagine where his head was at with all of that information taken in, especially as of the last conversation they shared. He also wanted to make sure he voiced his opinion on the intruder that entered the building unconventionally, while she saw him as a quick nuisance, Han saw more of an opportunity. “I think it’d be best to keep Kimura alive. At least for now, but. You and I know you’ll do what you need to do anyway. But we are going to need figureheads at some point or another. Be it faux or intentional.” was all he had to say. Finally taking his leave from the proper exit. Almost immediately he was on the phone with the R/D department to begin production of the unveiled projects that had yet to be hatched. While Han himself began a mental checklist, the first being to kick start production, the next to hatch a brand new invention he had already plotted and the last to prepare for his trip to Hueco Mundo. Whenever that may take place.

He had already arrived at the lobby of the building and by the time he had reached the ground floor his car was waiting for him with his two other assistants opening and closing his doors as he entered while still mid phone call. Transferring the call to the car’s bluetooth while he pressed a button on middle console of the vehicle, that transformed his side of the car into a holographic office, complete with a keyboard, three screens and real time data recording from all testing and development facilities across Naruki associated with both the S.A.F.E. Agency and Stephania Brand. When asked where he was headed, the Soldier had a simple reply.

“The promised Land.”

It was surely a busy day for the Fullbringers

Shiro lazily walked out of the senkaimon, his lips forming a bored, and all be it, forced grin. He looked around, feeling the presence of multiple spiritual energies he was only vaguely familiar with mingled with the spiritual pressures of the many nameless and faceless humans as well as the swarm of hollows appearing all over the city

"Ok Shiro, Step 1 find a lieutenant or seated officer and get orders while killing any hollows you find. Step 2, play what role they need. steps 3 onward will change after that."

He nodded to himself as he spoke to the air. He decided to head towards the strongest spiritual pressures first, reasoning that the lieutenants and seated officers might convene around the largest threats. As he walked through the streets, something in his mind kept tugging at the half finished memories from earlier. Not fully aware of the motion, Shiro looked over as he drew his blade out of the mask of a weak looking hollow. Shiro cursed at himself, even though thankful for his built in reflex for saving him, he couldn't afford to be distracted now.

As he continued forward through the city cutting down any hollows he came across, to which there seemed no end to, Shiro felt uneasy. He looked around as more and larger hollows attempted to flank him. Though he casually committed “Peons“ at their approach, They did put up a bit more fight than the other hollows.

“Where the hell is everyone? Are there just that many hollows here? Or did I perhaps miss the real fight and this is just the clean up?”

As he moved forward he became aware of a sudden surge in reiatsu and as he turned towards its direction, felt a wave of fear and excitement as he saw the dust rise into the air as a building disappeared off the horizon, as if an invisible hand was smudging a mistake on a painting. The dust, merely the remnants of color, as the hand attempted to hide its gray with the light blue of the sky.

"Well I guess that's where the party is. But that spiritual pressure though.."

Shiro weighed his thoughts in his mind as the sounds of a battle began to reach his ears. He doubted he would be little more than cannon fodder against that thing. But he and the rest of the idiots of Zaraki had killed strong hollows by doing just that, Throwing enough bodies at the thing to overwhelm them…. But if numbers were taken into account, and that thing was a hollow or an arrancar, they were still at a disadvantage… Should I clear out the weaker hollows, or help fight the leader?

As Shiro thought he heard the booms and felt the wave of pressure supplied by a force he couldn't compete with.. ‘Just like that night.’ He shook his head as flashes of purple dotted the city. It was now or never.. He focused on where he thought the massive spiritual pressure was, then began to make his way toward it.. Trying his best to keep his spiritual energy as low as h

“Day 1, and you're already going out a martyr huh? Well you've always made the best bets before.. Let's hope your streak isn't about to break.. Burn them with your ashes!!”

As he roared he darted up into the sky and prepared himself to enter the world of darkness he was about to create. Leaving the ground with a mighty jump and landing on top of a nearby building, Shiro let his spiritual energy flair up once more. Hoping it would be enough to catch the attention of the monster in front of him before he sprung the attack. Reading himself, he waited, and as he let out a deep breath he uttered the name of his Zanpaktuo.

From the moment Shizuka decided to attack, all of the fear Max’s sinister reiatsu inflicted upon him was put to the side. That fear, quelled within the heat of battle guided Shizuka. With all of his power invested in him, he would not let the city fall, nor his comrades. These feelings fueled his assault against the Arrancar. His descent of speed downwards was amplified greatly by Shoumetsu’s Enshōjo, which made the already lightning-quick movements of the Lieutenant nigh-untraceable. This however, did not disturb the deadly Arrancar in the slightest. Just merely from the presence of Shizuka and Shoumetsu’s attack he vanished from his original location. Shizuka even with his intent in mind, he could not ignore the shifting of his target’s position. Using his “Lightning sense”, dubbed by the former Captain of 10th, instantly noticed the Arrancar shifted behind the two. All Shizuka could do was glance slightly at his foe’s new position, his eyes met with the sinister glare of this beast. Eyes intending nothing, but complete and utter destruction. This showed as he twisted his hand ever so slightly to build up and quickly release an attack accompanied with a shining violet hue.

Shit”

Shizuka being in front of the trailing Shoumetsu, committed with his descent.
Just using the small glimpse he had, he could tell from the Arrancar’s angle of his arm, he was going to try and kill both of them in one shot, if not just Shoumetsu, who would take the full unmitigated power of Max’s onslaught. No longer in the attacking position, now that his target was no longer in his trajectory. He let one of his hands free from his Zanpakuto, initially using both to go into a Ryodan. He used the free hand to plant directly on the spot Max was previously standing. The force and impact of that one handed landing, crushing the remaining residue around the area due to Shizuka’s increased speed. The fissure created began to crack even further and Shizuka nails began to dig into the ground. The force expended easily cratering the ground below as the muscles in Shizuka’s arms expanded ever so slightly. The tight navy blue fabric that encompassed his body, stretching outwards as he garnered all the force in his arm to propel him back up in the same position he descended in. Using his already outstretched leg, he launched himself directly into Shoumetsu torso, kicking the 3rd Seat in his abdomen. Using the 3rd Seat's stomach as a platform, he launched off of him in the opposite direction horizontally to create separation from one another. To others and probably even Shoumetsu himself this would be confusing greatly. But if Shoumetsu allows himself to be kicked, in the midst of the separation between the two the high speed condensed Bala would move right between the two. Effectively repositioning Shoumetsu from a direct attack. The Arrancar taking advantage of their planned attack and reacting instantly was no small feat, battle experience goes a long way into battle. Which slightly sparked Shizuka’s mind as he watched the Bala move towards the ground. Although that thought would be completely interrupted as the shockwave from the bala caused a huge explosion that would engulf both Shizuka and Shoumetsu.

“AGHHHH”

Everyone in the Soul Society who has fought an Arrancar, knew that the Bala was a ability that compensated destructive power for insane speed. Obviously this didnt apply to this monster. Shizuka was launched some meters away, landing on his back from the explosion, barely protecting himself with his own reiatsu. As his shihakusho became singed with char marks, accompanied with his slight tears in his attire as well.

He immediately sprawled upwards to defend himself from the next onslaught, but when he looked up…… the Arrancar was gone.

“Shoumetsu!!”

Shizuka yelled outloud to address his comrade after the attack. Simultaneously searching for the Arrancar’s presence, to which he felt some distance away… next to his 3rd Seat, Izanagi. There was no straight path he could use to even get to that location, but before he even attempted to use Shunpo. He heard and felt a huge explosion in that direction. A bunch of thoughts clouded Shizuka’s mind, but the urgency of the situation quickly put it to rest.

“Izanagi is 3rd Seat for a reason, he’s a brother to me. I have to confidence he can defend himself in this battle. Just as Higen had confidence in me.”

He immediately started prepping his next move. If the Arrancar would be going for all Shinigami in the vicinity, even ones that ran away. His next target would be Lieutenant Ueku, who Shizuka felt earlier climbing upwards towards the sky.

He shouted at Shoumetsu who he didn’t even glance at, for he knew his previous attempt would save him from any serious injury.

“Let’s interrupt him”

1649642323284.png

Shizuka’s body vanished into a shunpo once more, his left hand brimming with a channel of his own Reiryoku. He could feel his thought’s speeding up, becoming more focused as the adrenaline coursed through his veins. Once Shizuka realized he attacked Izanagi, he knew he couldn’t resist preying on another Shinigami. Lieutenant Ueku’s path was extremely easy to trace, in his predesignated zig-zag motion. The real challenge was matching the Arrancar’s timing and position. The Arrancar was ridiculously fast and meticulous with his own movements but, Shizuka knew he could slightly outpace him, even outside of his Bankai.

Just as Shizuka guessed it, 11th’s strongest was next. Max’s moves were barely wasted, he reappeared directly in Jinnosuke’s path ready to annihilate his foe. As soon as the Arrancar launched his punch toward the Lieutenant, he would be blindsided by Shizuka’s right leg directly into his abdomen. Moving out his shunpo so fast a streak of lightning detailing his movements, only made it’s appearance after he would strike the deadly Arrancar. The strength amassed in this kick was unmitigated, strength built from his excruciating training with the current Captain Commander. Conditioning Shizuka to exert strength that has no rival, and while it still is nowhere near the strength of his mentor. Few have withstood multiple strikes of this magnitude. Shizuka not ending his assault there, slowly lifted up his left hand. The buildup of reiryoku, easily being sensed by anyone in the vicinity

“Raikoho”

1649640340776.gif

While his foot is still deep in the abdomen of the Arrancar, Shizuka would not hesitate release the kido he had prepared beforehand. His expertise in Kido, allowing him to draw upon nearly the full power of a spell. The explosion of the spell would be cataclysmic to the Arrancar. Withstanding the force of both attacks would leave the Arrancar continuously suspended flying upwards away from Jinnosuke and Shizuka. Though Shizuka’s attempt had ended, he had hoped the 11th’s 3rd Seat and Lieutenant, could contribute to knocking down this predator.
