Yayoi's original business agreement with what seemed to be an ordinary fashion company ultimately led to her involvement with other Fullbringers. Her day-to-day doings didn't change much, though her place of broadcasting had relocated to the base of operation of her newfound allies. She had occupied an old office that had functioned as a board room of sorts, remodeling it into two rooms that functioned as an office of sorts and also a broadcasting studio. Being of more of a reclusive nature, she rarely left her space while within the building.

Yayoi laid along her couch, flicking through social media mindlessly. The endless posts pass by with each swipe. Each of them added to the hypnotic trance that she was in, completely absorbed by the words and images of her peers and the other individuals she followed. Today was without a livestream, though she had decided to come in to adjust some assets for the UI of her broadcast. She had handled that rather quickly and had gotten sidetracked through her various social applications. There was no real hurry to head back home, where it'd be a lot of the same. Yayoi had noticed the increase in Hollow activity as well as the presence of other individuals, but assumed that the situation would be handled by those that had continued to flood onto the scene.

They obviously would have it handled. Why else would so many people be arriving or making themselves known within the city? Just a few more minutes of scrolling. Just a few more swipes. Surely they have this handled.

""Yayoi, hollows are rampaging through the city. Why don't you go play some games with them?"

Stephania's voice emerged from the intercom that rested on her nearby desk. Yayoi let out a sigh, hoping that she could have avoided the craziness that was outside the walls of this building. What exactly were the Shinigami doing that they weren't handling the Hollows that increasingly occupied Naruki? They literally had one job here and it wasn't being done. Tachibana stretched her arm outward towards the device on her desk's surface, fruitlessly snatching at the air. It was just out of her reach, well... a bit more than just out of her reach. She turned herself to get up from the seat and made a few strides forward to press the button on it.

"Yeah, sure. I'm on it."

Her rough tone came through on the mistress's end. Her response was simple and to the point, not opting to inquire about anything further nor express any retaliation for her involvement. At the end of the day, whether she wanted to or not, there were human lives in danger. Continuing her passivity would only cause more death to those that call this city home. It shouldn't require her attention, but a resolution to the situation was not coming anytime soon. All she really had to do was cut the numbers down and just keep cutting. Even if she couldn't end the swarm of corrupted souls, reducing their density should hopefully allow any other spiritually potent individual to aid in this mass culling.

Yayoi slid open the bottommost drawer of her desk, withdrawing a pair of rectangular holsters. She promptly attached them to her belt and made her way to the large window behind her. Tachibana slid through the aperture and climbed up the lower portion of its frame. She sprung with a green light emitting from around her feet, boosting the distance of the jump. She allowed herself to fall upon the neighboring building and leap from it in the same way, repeating this pattern as she grew nearer to the unwanted guests.

Upon her arrival to a pack of the unruly masked souls a series of puzzle pieces fell from within her sleeve. They shimmered with a pink light before connecting with each other. Their uniting manifested a set of six knives that she then grasped between each of her fingers. Tachibana flared her spiritual pressure to attract the attention of the Hollows that she had been rushing towards.

"Yo! Ya ugly bastards. Got a present for y'all."

Yayoi's spiritual energy condensed along the sextuplet blades, reinforcing and empowering them. She swiped her arms through the air, releasing the knives one after another. The projectiles each hit their mark, dead center of the Hollows' masks. They sent cracks across their faces, which eventually led to their total and utter destruction, extinguishing them from this world. She rushed towards the now falling weapons to catch them before they fully dropped, reverting them to their fragmented states, excluding one. With that knife still in hand, she looked forward and narrowed her eyes.

"Six down... Many to go."

Sudden Surprises and Reminders

Keeping his eyes locked on the location of the gathering Shinigami he brings a hand up to his chin, pondering, considering something in this brief moment. The Shinigami are blind when it comes to knowledge about the state of Hueco Mundo, they think that the God King is dead. Right now things are in the Arrancar’s favor, their last attack seemed random as they acted like scavengers trying to collect the Soul King's blood. To the knowledge of Shinigami they failed. Even now with the influx of so many Hollow they wouldn’t bat an eye at Hueco Mundo as they would narrow down the reasons for such a large force of Hollow. While pondering his thoughts Stephania replies to him about moving to Hueco Mundo immediately.

"Do not misunderstand me, while I do accept the partnership, and we certainly appreciate the escort to Hueco Mundo, I have no intention of permanently leaving Naruki City. Clearly, as we can see today, the shinigami troops appear to have dwindled, and there is a void we are looking to fill by taking over the safeguarding of this city."

Being pulled from his thoughts Max turns and looks at her, not out of surprise but rather to give her his full attention.

"If we were all to suddenly disappear, the Shinigami would undoubtedly see that as suspicious and seek to kill us on sight. While most of those that come to this world die before accomplishing much, there is sure to be one or two that will be able to... connect the dots, if you will. If I can manage to secure a sort of... parley, they'll be more inclined to trust us, making our goals much easier to achieve. Their numbers are small, they cannot protect the entire city, and we don't need to."

The God King nods his head, understanding where she is coming from on this point. To be frank he does not view the Shinigami as a dreaded enemy that needs to be eradicated, like he does with the Quincy. They are a stepping stone, a hurdle blocking the way to his ultimate goal, more so, he doesn’t wish to interfere with the balancing of souls. His eyes narrow as he hones in on Stephania’s words, that they would seek to kill them on sight and that she wants to secure a parley with them. A race being purged just because they exist, just as the Quincy persecute the Hollow for their existence so too do the Shinigami persecute the Fullbringers for theirs.

"...I think it would be best to leave him at the mercy of the governing body of the Soul Society for now as we advance our operations towards Hueco Mundo, and learn this ability called, excuse me, my Spanish is a little rusty. Descorrer? If it would be too much to ask, Steph. Shall I go alone to Hueco Mundo to scope out the area and spearhead the task of establishing a base of operations there? I'd also like to determine the level of safety we’ll have from our guests…’subjects’."

Max nods his head in agreement with the idea not to mention it would be more wise to let them pick a plot of land for themselves rather than assigning one to them.

"I think we’d rest easier knowing that this was as safe a place as you claim, and I’d like to be the first emissary to seek out the truth behind that myself. If you would allow me passage to Hueco Mundo as a gesture of good faith in our newfound partnership, then I'm sure we’d be more than willing to co-operate further as this new relationship begins. Wouldn’t you say so, King of the Hollows? After all, if there isn’t any trust, we will have nothing at all for when the fight really comes to our doorstep."

"A marvelous idea Sergeant! I'll be looking forward to visiting our home away from ho-"

CRASH!!

Max turns his head to see who the new arrival was, raising a brow at his form. It took a single moment to sense his Spiritual Energy to deduce that he too was a Fullbringer. Max thought the man to be suicidal to charge into a room full of powerful beings. Was his ability so strong that he alone could fight all of them? Max had to stifle that thought because he almost burst out laughing at the idea that this lone Fullbringer could be a challenge for him.

"Mikoto Kimura, I am here to lend aid on behalf of Stephania."

”Then why did you…”

Stephania’s reiatsu explodes along with her rage, Max doesn’t respond to it as it feels like he has experienced this before… His eyes narrow while he mutters under his breath.

”Helliodoro…”

The man is thrown back with great force, right out the window he entered, Max couldn’t help but let out a bit of a chuckle at this. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side it seems but one difference between these two rulers is while Max would have let him fall to his death, Stephania chooses to save him, using the strings of her Fullbring to do so. While she begins interrogating him, the pale Arrancar makes his way over to Han'ei to discuss his venture to Hueco Mundo.

”Before we were interrupted I was going to say I agree with your idea Amigo, furthermore you should be the one to choose your own plot of land. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I believe there is no place more beautiful than my home, given the architecture of your cities you humans may think the opposite. That said, bring additional communicators, my scientist is level headed enough to work with and you both could combine your minds and technologies to, first, establish a line of communication so we won't have to travel back and forth between worlds, and second, whatever your hearts desire to aid in battles or survival.”

Max turns his head again, towards the Shinigami group that seems to be growing, two more have shown up and with all the commotion going on at the tower they will soon sense it and set their sights on it as well. He frowns looking over at Stephania as she had just vented her Reiatsu enough for them to feel from a distance and potentially see given its bright light. He turns back to Han’ei.

”Today is probably not a good day to go to Hueco Mundo, things are too… caótico (Chaotic). We will plan a day and time to bring you over, I also need to brief my Scientist on this exchange as well as he will most likely be the one you will deal with on that day. As for now…”

Max turns and strides past Stephania and her hostage towards the now busted out window, the rush of air washing over his body. The smell of fire and death was heavy in the air, it made him smile.

”My new partners, no, mis primos. You are bringing attention to yourselves, so to ensure you don’t meet an early end due to these silly Shinigami I will take the attention off of you. Consider discussions over for today, no need to worry about my Gigai, I will collect it upon my return to Hueco Mundo, although… You may lose another window. My apologies for that in advance. And now… Time for me to have some fun.”

And with the static sound of Sonido he was gone from the room, hopefully leaving on good terms. But now, where was he headed to?

The God of Kings

On a rooftop three Shinigami were congregating, a fourth had left them to deal with the invading Hollows, a smart move. While they may be left in a stunned silence over the man clad in white suddenly vanishing along with Stephania’s Reitasu being released from afar and altogether the violence and blending of Reaitsu from other Hollows in this chaos they will probably never sense him. Not the sound of his arrival nor the presence of his Reiatsu, but they would feel him.

The sound of his Sonido sends out a vibration that is felt. A low frequency booming static, a sound of bass and eeriness that triggers the primal urge for fear and creates tension for what is to follow such an abhorred sound. It creeps up the spine as it draws closer with its deep booming bass. He begins walking towards them with his hands behind his back, shadows obscuring his face as he inches ever so closer to them.

”It has been an age since I last fought a Shinigami. Come! Do not run like the last pig I fought!”

Without warning his Reiatsu overwhelms the building they are on causing it to crumble from top to bottom, taking their footing away from them. Max and these three Shinigami fall together amidst the rubble of the falling building. Bricks, mortar, metal and more fall between them Max sees hapless Shinigami who are clueless about who they face and they would see a sinister pale Arrancar who radiated so much confidence he could kill with it. What shall they do?

The Lieutenant’s grip was firm and steady, holding his released Hirameku-Hitouchi with exceptional stability. Nothing was going to deter his blade moving from this “Human’s” neck. Although the vehemence his Zanpakuto was spreading was directly placed on the Fullbringer’s silver armor. The human seemed undeterred, not even slightly phased from it’s heat. Shizuka’s prompt to this man triggered his subordinate to question the man too. In his naturally aggressive tone Izanagi spat out.

"Oi! Are you the one killing all the hollows in this city?"

Still no dire reaction from the precarious situation Shizuka thought the Human was in. He responded candidly to Izanagi’s question, throwing Shizuka because he ignored his.

“Hollows?”

The tone of his response, triggered the Lieutenant. There was no way a Fullbringer this powerful would be clueless about Hollows, especially when their entire anatomy is based on the existence of Hollows.

“You sound confused, those monsters you think you’ve been going around and saving people from. Those are Hollows. This can’t be your first time seeing those things…”

Completely unaware of who or where this man came from Shizuka refused to believe he was completely clueless. Either way Shizuka didn’t realize it, but this man was making his job much easier. If it came down to it, just the top brass of 10th Division could go on a spree right now and clear out the density of these hollows, but there was a bigger task at hand. Shizuka couldn’t let this information slip through his hands, that’s why he needed to find Stephania Shingetsu in order to complete the task handed to him by the Captain Commander himself.

These thoughts dreaded him, which is why Shizuka was surprised when he finally got a visit from his reinforcements he requested Captain Hageshi.

"11th Division 3rd Seat, Shoumetsu Takahiro reporting in Lt. Hyouzoku."

“Nice for you to join us 3rd Seat, was expecting Ueku-san and Ueki-san, but you’re a welcome sight.”

He saw Shoumetsu glance towards Shizuka’s current situation. Obviously confused on what is going on.

“What is the deal with this guy here?"

“Some Fullbringer we gotta apprehend, per the Commander’s order, but he’s actually not our main target here. I’ll tell you more once we get situated.”

As soon as he finished talking, right on queue, Lieutenant Ueku appeared right beside Shizuka. It looked like things could finally commence now that everything and everyone was in place. The city was filled with hollows, even ones creeping up on the building they were standing on, the conglomerate of strong spiritual pressures acted nothing more as a bait for hollows to start gathering even more. Still though, it would only lead to their instant death.

" Metsu, Kill the hollow, make sure your comrades don't die a tragic death and find me some gelato ice cream. In that order. "

Though a silly command Shizuka knew he could strictly focus on keeping this human at his Zanpakuto’s length while Shoumetsu assassinated the hollows around them effortlessly.

" If you need me, scream out, 'Jinno, I'm dying and need to be protected.' Then I'll come running to save your dumb ass. "

The Lieutenant immediately vanished into a shunpo, probably out to deal with the scourging hollow threat. Which of course didn’t take precedent over the current situation at hand. With things finally coming together though. Shizuka finally felt the small amount of tension slightly disappear.

“I’m gonna seal this guy up and the-

Just like a flash of light he was gone, no trace, no remnant, nothing at all. It wasn’t Shunpo or Bringer-Light, he just disappeared from this area. Shizuka’s face held so much confusion to the phenomenon they just witnessed. He just ended up laughing it off, to ease the awkwardness.

1648769340443.png

“These humans get more stupid abilities every other day”

Shizuka instinctively deactivated his Zanpakuto, for it held no use to him as of now. He turned his attention towards the two 3rd Seat’s under his command.

“Alright, enough shenanigans. Our goal right now is to find and detain a Stephania Shingetsu. From my intel she apparently is a ringleader for some of these Fullbringer that plague this city. Once we find her we can possibly fulfill the task given to us, by apprehending even more Fullbrin- “

The Liuetenant’s heart did a massive drop and his eyes began to widen. Through the mass congregation of hollows and the presence of multiple captain level shinigami present in the city…

1648769609760.png

Nothing was as terrifying as what was approaching them.

In a moment of a panic, Shizuka took his time to analyze this presence. It was actually impossible to decompress the vastness and depth of this spiritual pressure. The first thing Shizuka could even remotely compare it to, was the pressure of his former Captain’s tempered reiatsu. Only if it were that of a Hollows and a Shinigami's reiatsu.

In the mere few seconds of his panic, it was already too late. The deafening bass of this Arrancar’s Sonido struck the chords of the Lieutenant, heart strings, as the beast landed gracefully on the same building they were standing on. Shizuka backed up slightly, standing directly in front of Shoumetsu and Izanagi as a form of false protection. Sweat protruding from his body rapidly as the sinister reiatsu begins coiling around his skin, each wrap around his soul inflicting the deathly feeling of despair and destruction incarnate. The trio were defenseless against this Arrancar slowly walking towards them. It was a scene straight out of a horror film, one that usually ends with death.

Shizuka notices the Arrancar is covering his face with his hand as he walks closer and closer to them. His physical appearance didn’t match any of the Arrancars that were seen in the last attack on Karakura Town. What prompted him to show up now? What was he after? Who is he?

All these questions circled around the Lieutenant’s mind, but he had no time at all to even comprehend any of them as he was faced with this being. The Arrancar finally opened his mouth. Confidence exuding from his very pose, his stance looking as if he had already won. What was probably the most terrifying part of this encounter was surprisingly when expressed nothing but a joyous tone, filled with a sinister intent in every syllable in his speech”

”It has been ages since I last fought a Shinigami. Come! Do not run like the last pig I fought!”

As the Arrancar finished his sentence, his reiatsu spiked tremendously and the building they were standing caved in expeditiously. Sending all of them to plummet straight to the ground as the debris and clutter bombarded them on their way down. Shizuka didn’t hesitate at all in this moment using the platforms that were suspended in their descent. He gracefully used shunpo’d to retrieve Izanagi and Shoumetsu, moving fluidly through the falling debris grabbing each of them by their shihakusho before vanishing out of the confines of the building, landing all three of them onto the street far away from the buildings destruction. He still sensed the Arrancar within the destruction and rubble, but Shizuka knew that wasn’t going to last and they needed to think fast.

This entity, even in his unreleased state was ridiculous. Stronger than some lousy Bount and stronger than the Hellbound Togabitos. This man was not to be trifled with in any manner, for he outclassed any foe the Shinigami had seen so far in the past hundreds of years. Shizuka knew, with their limiters on and the precedent of not completely annihilating the city, the Shinigami here were completely handicapped to deal with such a threat. Something had to be done though.

“Izanagi get away from here right now, and contact Fuyuko-san, tell her we need reinforcements immediately and that…”

He immediately regretted what he was going to say

“We need to cancel the Kenpachi Games.”

Shizuka knew this was going to be almost a damn near impossible task for Izanagi to even complete due to the stubbornness of the Soul Society and Izanagi’s rank, but he couldn’t leave these two and potentially Jinnosuke to battle this threat out. Just Izanagi’s demonic persona would put them in harms way, while he was ridiculously strong in his own right he’d probably get destroyed instantaneously from an enemy he didn’t know how to combat. It was best to keep his bloodthirsty 3rd Seat out of the fight initially.

Hoping Izanagi would be gone already, he immediately looked to his right and looked at Shoumetsu.

“Shoumetsu! Let’s take out this scumbag. I’ll lead in with attacks, you immediately follow up behind me. You got my back, I got yours!”

Shizuka didn’t hesitate at all, immediately releasing his Zanpakuto once more, a swift storm of electricity wrapped around his blade and in less than a second completely unveiled his shikai.

1648769895833.png

1648769935346.png

“We need to lead him away from the city, preferably somewhere abandoned so I can activate my Bankai. We’ll take whatever he gives us, as long it’s away from here.”

As the smoke unveiled, the silhouette of the Arrancar could be seen, standing, completely unbothered from a building toppling on him. His reiatsu still as menacing as ever. Shizuka glanced back at Shoumetsu once, and immediately bled into a shunpo. Reappearing above the Arrancar’s head exactly 20 feet away from him, while holding a complete upside down position in mid-air. With two hands on his shikai, Shizuka using the momentum from his shunpo, created a platform to propel himself from that position with lightning-adjacent speed to nosedive into the Arrancar. Shizuka’s Zanpakuto began to glow into a shining white blade. It’s vibrations could be felt by the wielder and those just in the vicinity of his lucent blade. His body perfectly primed in a Kendo stance even as he descended at high speeds. His mastery over Zanjutsu was diligent for years and with 100 years passing by they remained the same if not completely reached a new level. Before Shizuka’s body even reached the Arrancar he swung his blade meticulous precision to where the tip of his blade would strike through the top of the Arrancar’s skull. His sword being reminiscent to a Zweihander, it’s blades length was long. Long enough to erase the gap between his body and his opponent’s body albeit being several feet away. As he was swinging the sword Shizuka muttered to himself-

“Raimei Yoshiki….

Ryodan”

Simply combining the Zanpakuto ability and Zanjutsu technique Ryodan, as soon as Shizuka’s Zanpakuto made contact with the Arrancar’s head it wouldn’t even cut through properly, but cave in his head with cataclysmic force. The magnetic repulsion factor of his Thunder Stance combined with the destructive powers of Ryodan, would immediately blast away the debris of the building the Arrancar is standing in, and even the surrounding buildings and Hollows would wither away at the sheer destruction of both techniques. Hitting from from an upwards angle the Arrancar’s body would be submitted into a crater of which he once stood. The base of the building completely replaced with 60 feet crater of depth and width from the Lieutenant’s attack.

Six hollows appeared out of nowhere, looking to pounce on what they believed were free meals. Five sitting ducks, yet in an instant, they were all demolished but to say without a trace would be a lie. The droplets of blood that descended from the sky were evident enough, no explanation as to how. No evidence shows how someone did it. One thing is for sure is that humans accomplished the hollow's deaths. He has single-handedly taken them out without any assistance. It has come to the 3rd seat that had this human clad in armor wanted to hurt them, and he could have taken action against them at any given time beforehand. Izanagi did not do anything, waiting for him to take action because it seemed like this person had a hero complex. A complex that this individual cannot avoid, striving to help people. If his act wasn't enough to clear that up, the outfit speaks "SUPERHERO." From the cape itself down to the clad armor mask. This character ooze a savior complex of being a superhero. Izanagi had watched as closely the unknown fullbringer at his movements.

"How the fu-......."

Izanagi was stunned that he couldn't see his movements at all. It's one thing to be fast, but this person's speed was astounding. Nothing indicated that he was in motion, yet he does have to move. Could someone be that fast?

Nevertheless, the six white mask creatures were no more, and for them to show off more, they ended up taking the kill off someone else before they could. It got Izanagi pretty excited to see someone can move so astonishing that he would want to fight them to figure out their ability. He was that intrigued to find out, though right now wasn't a good time, unfortunately. Izanagi noticed another group had arrived before they were attacked. Almost forgetting they had arrived at the scene, the third seated member of division ten ignored the formalities, Izanagi's full attention was on the human standing in front of them.

"Reinforcements?"

Izanagi thought.

Begin to think back to when he first arrived to meet up with Shizuka on this rooftop. He mentioned something before dealing with the clad-armor individual.

"Well, since you're here first, I can debrief you in detail since we're a part of the same division. I didn't intend on telling the others the full story".

The keyword in that sentence was "first," meaning the Lieutenant knew others were arriving but didn't disclose who they were. Although, they were interrupted before getting to the debriefing. And it happens to be that of his old squad, members of division 11. It didn't take long before one of them already sprang into action to fight violently against the white-masked creatures.

"If you need me, scream out, 'Jinno, I'm dying and need to be protected.' Then I'll come running to save your dumb ass."

"Tch. You're the dumbass."

Listen while you read

Izanagi said to himself while smirking. But then, suddenly, there was a spike of energy coming from that tower ahead of them, which felt quite fierce to sense from this distance. The moment Izanagi's eyes diverted in that direction towards the building. A tall figure immediately appeared before the group. Both eyes locked on this unknown entity was. It had to have been hollow; the scent of their reiatsu shows that the hole in the upper left pectoralis is also what gives it away. So many questions race through Izanagi's mind, for instance. Why was he here? Why couldn't they sense him before? Are there more out here, like back during the fight over the Soul King's blood?

Honestly, those questions would not matter anyway. What did matter was how nonchalant this Arrancar was to appear before three shinigami carefree. Most would believe that this act was instead done by someone who was an arrogant bastard or an overconfident fool. However, he was neither of those to the purple-haired shinigami, Izanagi. In fact, without even sensing his reiatsu, just a sharp chill hit him throughout Izanagi's entire body when the figure appeared. The booming sound even made his heart skip a beat for just a second upon emerging. Izanagi wanted a challenge all day, searching and waiting for that particular Arrancar. And yet, Izanagi found a bigger fish, and this fish was not arrogant. The way he carries himself, a shadow shrouds his face implies the existence of some lurking darkness or source of evil. An evil Izanagi's demonic persona is far too familiar with caused the demonic presence to disappear into its mental cage.

Izanagi truly felt fear for the first time, knowing that he did not open the door to death. Instead, death itself has kicked the front door down. One by one, sweatdrops begin to rise above the ebony forehead skin and are incapable of looking away from this creature of evil. Staring at this evil was like staring at a giant who towers over the entire city, eclipsing his existence while making Izanagi feel like an ant. He couldn't do anything but stare into the face with no features but dark obscurity.

Then suddenly, Lt. Shizuka stood moreso in the way of the view, "shielding." Shoumetsu and Izanagi, from this foul evil, slowly made strides in their direction. Even though it snapped Izanagi out of this trance of despair, he felt Shizuka's fear, sensed it, smelled it. And yet, he is willing to stand in front of something like that? Izanagi had to dig deep to find himself, grasping at what hope he could find within himself to face the fear. To meet the entity that stood in front of them all. If Shizuka could face him down while in fear, Izanagi could too, and just like that, with no words spoken, the seal zanpakuto transformed from its sealed stage to its release form. A pair of black gloves appeared around both hands of the Third seat, shinigami. Shizuka and Izanagi have trained for a century together, knowing about each other that no one else knows. Their relationship far exceeds friendship but creates a brotherhood between one another.

"It has been an age since I last fought a Shinigami. Come! Do not run like the last pig I fought!"

He spoke!

First time hearing it speak, but it made no difference who or what he was. He was an Arrancar, and like them, he wanted a fight with three members of the Gotei 13. And like all hollows and arrancars before him, he will PERISH.

And then it begins, the Arrancar before them unleashed a powerful force of reiatsu that caused the building to become so unstable that it shattered from top to bottom—crumbling down to the very last foundation of dust and rubble. The rooftop collapses, and Izanagi is soon snatched up by his Lt., who brings Shoumetsu and himself to the street level and away from the destruction of the building. Upon landing upon the gravel, Izanagi skid across the street extra feet; Izanagi's arms were slightly spread outwards to maintain balance, with his body leaning forward. Due to the momentum after coming out of Shizuka's flash step. And before the demon would possibly come back out to play, Shizuka peered over the left shoulder to get a small image of Izanagi in his peripheral vision.

"Izanagi, get away from here right now."

"Wait....what?"

Izanagi thought at first, wondering why his Lieutenant would tell him something like that.

"And contact Fuyuko-san, tell her we need reinforcements immediately and that…."

"And that what?"

"We need to cancel the Kenpachi Games."

"Kenpachi games?"

Izanagi questioned it and hasn't heard anything about the Kenpachi games. He has been ignoring all the announcements and mentionings of the Kenpachi games. All because of sleeping or obsessing over one Arrancar. It had never even donned to him that event was going on right this instant. So he fled the scene with no time to waste while simultaneously pulling out that trusty denreishinki x. And Izanagi began calling for 1st Lieutenant Fuyuko Kasumi. And in which he hopes that she answers the phone. And so that there are no surprises, he entered into a series of movements. Zigzags through the streets of Naruki until 1st lieutenant answers. And if she so happens to answer from her end, Izanagi would relay the message as quickly as possible.

"Hello? Lt!? We have a problem here in Naruki City. We require reinforcements. An enemy here may pose a high-level threat, an Arrancar that we have never encountered before! Hurry. Get the games canceled! And send back up! And contact the 12th division to permit us to release Gentei Kaijo!"

He did his best to deliver the message as soon as he could. He had reached her on these devices even if the news to her via phone call was successful. They would have to do their best to hold off the enemy until backup arrives, which will take a severe amount of time. Even though Izanagi got some distance away from where he saw Shizuka and Shoumetsu, he could still feel the power his Lieutenant had unleashed. The fight has begun; the only question is now should he lend aid or go after the tower? There are many options to choose from, but which proves to be the most important? Survival? Or the mission? Izanagi would soon make that decision and head back from which he came.

When he arrived on the scene trying to figure out what this whole scenario was about thinking this entire mission was chaotic. The details of what they were supposed to get accomplished in the World of the Living are still unclear on whether they needed to kill or protect something. Scanning the area he could tell them all grouped up like this acted like catnip to hollows with such a potent amount of reiatsu permeating the area, but the wiser hollows treaded with caution while the less intellectual charged in blindly once again. Seconds after Lt. Jinnosuke arrived on the scene he issued an order that might have seemed odd to others, but after being around him for so long over the years something Shoumetsu had grown accustomed to. Just as quickly Lt. Jinnosuke arrived he momentarily split off a little's away to start cutting down any hollows that became too eager.
" If you need me, scream out, 'Jinno, I'm dying and need to be protected.' Then I'll come running to save your dumb ass. "
" If you need me, scream out, 'Jinno, I'm dying and need to be protected.' Then I'll come running to save your dumb ass. "

"I can deal with the hollows I've been itching to really cut loose"

The next issue they had to deal with currently was dealing with this Fullbringer who reminded him of the action figure you see children of this world play with. That is until he muttered something about reaching a tower which at this point he wasn't sure some line part of his hero visage or if it was an actual place of importance. From the direction of the skyscraper a little bit away from them where most didn't pick it up, Shoumetsu sensed the outburst of reiatsu from Stephania that flared. One of his strongest attributes was his uncanny spiritual sensing abilities that stemmed from his obsession with constantly always looking for powerful energy sources to challenge. In this instance, the Fullbringer held at sword point seemed to vanish in a blink of an eye while taking down multiple hollows in the area leaving Shoumetsu only assuming his destination was where he sensed that powerful reiatsu surge.

Listening intently to the mission debriefing from Lt. Shizuka he simply nodded his head then pointed in the direction of where he sensed that powerful spike of spiritual energy, unaware of any of the others detected it or not. Still facing that general direction he first saw somebody barely dressed closing in on them from the distance, and before he had the chance to properly gauge this newcomer's spiritual energy the first thing he detected was the pure bloodlust this man radiated from his very being.
”It has been an age since I last fought a Shinigami. Come! Do not run like the last pig I fought!”

Shoumetsu immediately picked up this man reeked of death, the static sound of Max executing sonido filled his mind with a strong sense of dread and put his instincts completely on high alert. This sensation was on a different level compared to when he encountered the togabito. Was it because he had Captain Nakamoto there with him to allow him to focus on going all-out with no fear of injury? No, that wasn't the case despite how gifted and remarkable the young Captain was and proven himself to be in the midst of battle. Once he had stepped onto the battlefield Captain Yu's rank meant very little to him back then. It was the battle prowess displayed that truly earned his respect that allowed him to fight without holding back. Now was no different because that day He wasn't the only one who faced down a togabito and lived to tell about it. Lt. Shizuka would have been surprised when he stepped in front of him, and Izanagi to see Shoumetsu standing in the front right beside him instead with both blades drawn. This wasn't because he lacked fear in the slightest as he had cold sweat dripping from his face all the same, but he never allowed fear to become a crutch for him. He understood fully well that if you overcame fear it became a weapon that sharpened one's instincts to their utmost limit, although the irony of this came from his reiatsu effect that removed fear from those who became exposed to it. Sensing the impending destructive eruption of reiatsu released from Max he quickly embraced himself to face it and cut through the collapsing building in his way, but the Lt. had other plans.

Getting suddenly yoinked away like a ragdoll unexpectedly caused him to get quite annoyed but would settle this after things were said and done. The next words that left Shizuka's mouth made Shoumetsu nearly get a strong uncontrollable urge to cut both of the 10th division members down. Not because he cared about the Kenpachi Games ending but for the fact he wanted others to come to interrupt the fight he longed to have even if it meant death for him.
“Shoumetsu! Let’s take out this scumbag. I’ll lead in with attacks, you immediately follow up behind me. You got my back, I got yours!”
“We need to lead him away from the city, preferably somewhere abandoned so I can activate my Bankai. We’ll take whatever he gives us, as long it’s away from here.”

"That plan works for me too I don't need to worry about weaklings dying in the fight, and my Bankai is not meant for populated areas either."

Hearing his name called while all of his attention remained on the Arrancar decided to take in heartbeat, he heard everything that Shizuka had to say. In unison, Shoumetsu had the same thoughts as his comrade in arms chanting out his zanpakuto transforming the two kodachi he wielded into deer knives as the two of their spiritual energy collided and bounced off each other creating an electrical storm around them. Somebody who treated war as an actual art form studied up on the different enemies they were expected to face just as much he trained, so had an idea of what the Arrancar shared abilities were but knew they all varied and differed greatly. Little did the two of them know it but they were two sides of the same coin, and Shoumetsu picked up on this instinctively the moment he sensed the electrical energy Shizuka zanpakuto released. The moment Shizuka had taken off to initiate his attack, he immediately picked up on the magnetic energy of Lt. Shizuka zanpakuto and acted on that. Changing each one of his zanpakuto to different magnetic energies he used the emitted magnetic energy to create a powerful magnetic field that encompassed them both at the same time acting like a battery that only further amplified the attack power and speed of the Lieutenant's slash. From this point on Shoumetsu had no intentions of holding anything back as the restraints that limited his movement and spiritual power were released from the start collapsing with the broken-down building. While Shizuka went for the attack at close range he shadowed beside him to generate looping feedback off each other's abilities and remain vigilant of their placement when acting in cohesion. Casting Bakudō #63 Sajo Sabaku to help attempt to slow Max's movements down even for a second as the chain shot out from Shoumetsu's body to try to catch and bind him. At the time one of his zanpakuto remained in contact with the kido chain keeping while using his spiritual energy to enhance his physical attributes, namely his reflexes. The two of them were in a high-stakes battle for their lives with even the slightest mistake leading to a fatal outcome or death with Izanagi and Jinnosuke within the area to come to jump into the fun.
