Two members of the Kido Corps stand guard at the Senkaimon, they are unmoving, and silent. They are as much a fixture of the Fifth Division barracks as the Senkaimon itself. The building Reiatsu of those within the barracks who are ready to strike down any foriegn entity that walks through the Keikaigi doesn’t even make their brow quiver. The Keikaigi is located quite some distance away from the Senkaimon itself as it is a newer structure, newer in the sense that the Senkaimon gate that stands is thousands of years old. Ever since Shinigami began traveling to the Human World this gate has stood and though it has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times it still remains in the same spot it was first erected. This area of the Barracks is quiet, devoid of all life save for these two guards whose heads turn only for the seemingly thunderous steps of one Higen Kagayaki. He marches with a purpose and doesn’t seem like he wants to or even will stop for questioning. His jurisdiction is that of Naruki City and with that in mind, combined with his ceaseless stride, the two guards attune the gate so that this Captain may pass through to his destination of Naruki City. The Shining Knight passes through and they close the gate behind him, returning to their idle guard.
The size of the Seireitei is massive, it is a ten day walk from one of the outer gates to another and so it is understandable that the barracks within it are massive in their own right. How far is the Keikaigi from the Senkaimon exactly? Far enough not to be seen, far enough for the area around the Senkaimon to be dead silent only the whistling wind to occupy the dead air. Only the mass gathering of Fifth Division soldiers charging Kido and Shikai abilities alike can be sensed and at this location tension reaches a boiling point as they await the arrival of Hibiki Maeda. They wait and then they sense something, something that makes some break from the group out of self preservation. Kido is dispelled, Shikai’s are deactivated as some of these men flee as they sense the Reiatsu of Vincent Batista, the God King. Hibiki was given a portion of the God King to take back with him as proof of his demise, however, this fragment of the once mighty God King still has a lingering Reiatsu signature of its own. Such a small fragment could easily turn a Adjuchas into a Vasto should they consume it.
Invasion
These men picture what this monster potentially looks like, could it be a gargantuan Hollow that spits out more like a broodmother? Is it a single man or woman carrying enough power to take on multiple captains? This is why some flee, without their own Captain present they are uncertain about their odds of victory but like last time, the majority remain, ready to do battle. Their orders were clear, anything that does not have Shinigami Reiatsu is to be attacked and destroyed. They dare not disobey the orders of their fanatical captain, they know those who did not initially arrive here and those who retreated will be punished. Not the majority, the many that outweigh the few have a chance to prove themselves here and now by stopping an invasion. They will respond to this and any other invasion against the Soul Society with extreme and lethal force. Their attacks are let loose, Hado and Bakudo of varying levels are fired combined with some attacks from unique Shikai all of them melding and blending together becoming a massive wave of light blue energy hell bent on annihilating this foriegn entity. This wave launches into the void of the Keikaigi towards the one who barrels towards it at full speed. Hibiki faces the might of at least 70% of the Fifth Division’s Kido and long range Shikai attacks. Taking that parting gift from the Hollow’s was perhaps a mistake as he will now be vaporized along with the cause of his untimely demise.
The roar of the attack rumbles the ground and shakes buildings, much like how Hado 90 was felt across the Seireitei this too would be sensed by everyone. This attention grabbing attack does not snag the attention of the two Senkaimon guards as they remain idle and unmoving as ever. What was happening on the grounds of Fifth Division was unnerving to say the least, the fact that almost an entire Division’s worth of Shinigami just attacked in unison has to raise more red flags than anything. These red flags are ignored by these two though, however, what is not ignored is the approach of the Lieutenants of Eleventh and Fourth Division, Jinnosuke Ueku and Omoni Hageshi. Two Lieutenants walking in tandem towards the Senkaimon must mean they have business in the Living World, which has had heavy traffic today. Earlier Omoni returned with two other Shinigami from Karakura Town could they be headed back? They prep and open the gate, waiting for one of the two Lieutenants to tell them their desired destination in order to put them on the correct path. Something truly calamitous must be happening for the deployment of multiple captains and even multiple Lieutenants.
This will be a day to remember for everyone apart of the Fifth Division.
