He sighs heavily and walks alongside his fellow guardsmen as things begin to settle, at least to the lower members of the First Division. Kiku had been on a mission, and he had hoped that his desires were fruitful. No one wants to see their fellow members falling from grace. Perhaps Kiku hadn’t found his place in the First Division. It was not for everyone. It couldn’t be. The unwavering loyalty that and rule to hold only the top Shinigami outside of Captains and Lieutenants was what had allowed Enji to perform with pride.
He was of a lower class, but the utmost pride swelled upon his acceptance into the First Division, much to his younger brother’s ire. He’d become a simple teacher, but Enji found nothing wrong with it. As the eldest, it was expected of him to do great things. He could take the burden of it.
“...ji… nji… Enji!”
“Yes? My apologies. I just happened to be thinking of how my brother might be doing.”
“Well, fix yourself up. We have to go report to Gekkō-San. And--”

The fellow guardsman stopped as they had happened to just pass the threshold between the Central 46 Compounds when the smell of blood infiltrated their senses. Immediately their hands reached for their zanpakutō and began to draw when the emergence of their lieutenant stopped them in their tracks. Instead, they retracted their blades and offered a bow of their heads. Careful not to ask any questions, whatever had occurred was on a need-to-know basis, and they would perform as desired.
“Central 46 is dead.
Both guardsmen give each other a quick glance, yet not a word is uttered. It is clear the situation is dire, and Honoka would continue without hesitation.
“Because the protection of Central 46 falls under the jurisdiction of Sixth Division, I need cooperation between both divisions. Notify Shusuke Kiyoshi immediately, this takes precedence over anything else. Everything must be documented meticulously. I need the detailed autopsy reports for every single member, and only once I am satisfied with the reports will we turn over their bodies back to their families. They are still nobles so treat their bodies accordingly."
It is without a word that the two split apart. Enji moves in pursuit of Shusuke Kiyoshi, whilst his counterpart immediately heads for their squad leader to inform her of the events. Enji, upon getting far enough from the compound would drop down to his knee, retracting a bottle of black powder in which he drew characters for the following kido.
“Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain.”
He places his hands just above the markings as his incantation ends, and it comes aglow in a blinding white light.
“Bakudō #58. Kakushitsuijaku.”
Numbers begin flitting around as it gathers the location of his target in mind. Shusuke Kiyoshi currently resides in the Second Division vicinity and after hearing that fiasco from their lieutenant, he could only grimace slightly. The Second Division had been involved in many things, such as that performance their Captain had done a mere five months ago. If not for his lieutenant, he would’ve found someone else to relay the message, but the situation was dire and required his services, but he was sure that if it wasn’t him, someone else would have done the same. He clears the path of his spell and immediately sets off to the Southeast regiment to find Sixth Division’s representative to perform his tasks. Unbeknownst to Enji, his younger brother was caught for travesties that would dull their family’s name and place him in a difficult position when the time came.
Meanwhile, the other messenger had come across Akarui who’d been inbound upon releasing Tenzen Oda from his healing session. Her clothes were bathed in red from the accumulation of blood from Yū Nakamoto and Tenzen Oda. Dropping down to a knee, he explains verbatim their duties and what Lieutenant Oki expects of them. Akarui, for the first time is hesitant on what to believe and waves her hand for her squad member to inform the designated persons of their jobs. Akarui would come to meet Honoka, who’d hopefully still stood before the doors of the compound. In no time would the subordinate gather the necessary hands that would perform the autopsies accordingly and anything else she would have requested. Akarui, with her released zanpakutō in hand, would only come to keep guard so that nothing would further go awry unless Honoka had other plans. For her.

Southeast Seireitei ———————————— traveling to ———————————— Central Seireitei
U
pon joining the Sixth Division there is a test taken to see how adherent to your duties in order to properly assign you to the best possible internal task based on your capabilities. Certain people naturally end up with more “desk” orientended jobs while others are tasked with being vigilant Bengoshi, seeking out injustice and bringing it to halt. Seen as the more difficult task as one needs to be in tune with their inner convictions and beliefs in order to pass judgment on those who would defile the law in any form. The laid back adjudicator covered vast ground, moving at speeds unseen before this moment. He wouldn't be surprised at all if Sora wasn’t able to catch him until they both arrived at their destination. He wasn’t fearful the green one would lose his way, as he could sense Shusuke' reiatsu if he was ever in the need of a true north.
His mind raced near faster than his feet. He thought back to his scenario testing for field work before becoming a bonafide detective, and far before he discovered his affinity for discerning the seemingly unblemished situations and areas. He was placed in a murder scene, accidental homicide with the only crime being performed was out of an act of passion. The scenario asked him how he’d prosecute the perpetrator and the minimum sentence involved after his judgment while also exercising the lengths of discipline that could be performed should the necessity present itself. Naturally he never studied for the test, but felt confident in his own right that he would make the best decision possible when on the job that no amount of studying could even prepare him for. He left the question blank, because should he run into even that exact scenario at any event, he knew that he would make the right decision based on being in that moment for himself. After now little over one hundred years of servitude later, and thousands more cases and apprehensions behind him, a seasoned and skilled Shinigami in his own right with superb powers of deduction which scored him many personal victories….couldn’t know what to expect with what he was to find once he re-entered the the Central area.
The buildings and scenery were a blur to him the entire trip, finding himself to eventually be back in the central area of the Seireitei with the awe inspiring large buildings that helped make up the most important division in the entire military. He felt Sora close behind making as little haste as possible. It would turn out that this one was a promising prospect. Good tidings were surely on the way, or so he hoped. He stopped just short five or so blocks from the Central Forty-Six chambers, with the stoppage he noticed something that was strange which went under the radar since he had been here. Eyeing the street level, and taking in the sound in the area outside of the chaos in the Rukongai hundreds yards away from his location...the area was eerie. Normally this particular sector was bustling with members of his own division escorting the members of Forty Six. Helping to keep their identity secret, now was the time in day where...They would take their leave to their estates. Unsure of the current escort pattern as it is constantly changed for the safety of the nobles in question on a daily basis he was unsure if he had come across a gap in the timing but that thought was impossible because the day was now nearly over and verdicts involving the sages would have to wait until a later scheduled date. ”Curious. Not in a good way.”. He then sensed out to look for any familiar reiatsu in the area only to find but a single flare in his psyche. Eyes closed and his right eyebrow raised, Shusuke was closing in on a surely mysterious scene, and now steeled himself for the worst possible outcome.
Shu.Ghost.3.png

”I’d be surprised if anything could surprise you with all the things we have seen in our long years. You tense yourself too quickly only to be let down by something already experienced firsthand, what makes this particular situation different from the rest?”
A somewhat grim, gruff feminine voice creeped into the back of his mind as he focused, losing none, he scanned the area further to confirm his prior theory which would stand correct. The truth of the matter was that En’enra was right. What could possibly shock him any further after witnessing first hand blood baths and also fighting his way through them himself. Seeing tortured and maimed bodies strung up in arid temperatures to strike fear into the hearts of demons and souls alike. “The filth” he likes to call them, lawless and untamed souls with a penchant for death and destruction. The Adjudicator must rid them all. With this in mind he almost had no response for his other self. He just simply had no answer. With this small stop, he could feel his partner closing into the area. His first thought was to wait but with this dour feeling that befell him given the small cues revealed in the area causing him to harbor a particular form of concern in the obvious question in his mind:
What was he to expect?
Taking not a second longer to ponder it, he moved on ahead and decided to meet with the Head Lieutenant who had sent for him not long ago. Her energy was faint, controlled in every aspect only merely leaking out but a small taste of her true potential, he figured the suppression to be extremely excruciating for herself. To lessen her powers to that of somewhat ordinary when it is quite far from it. She’d be an easy woman to find, quite tall, with lengthy limbs and a voluptuous figure. Easy on the eyes but that would be the first physical deceit of the beautiful lieutenant. He wondered what brought her to remember him, and even pondered asking upon his arrival. Appearing quickly before the halls of the Central Forty Six, along with a gust of wind which gave Shusuke a small shiver up the small of his back, another omen. He was finding flags of red all over, something awful took place here, the energy seemed...different from mere hours ago. What was calm and tranquil, now feels dirty and bloody. He walked slowly towards the tall decadent doors which once opened for the Captain-Commander he escorted earlier this day. They were unguarded, why? He stopped short once more to collect his final thoughts as the previous three clues presented to him bounced around in his mind once more. “What was he to expect?” the same daunting question that plagued him since his arrival, it was now uncertainty that made the Third of Sixth slightly hesitant, but it was also a sign of his attentive caution. By now he would’ve expected Sora to have caught up. He took himself out of his thought process for a half moment and scanned the area further to find the Head-Lieutenant off to the side of the entrance, he walked up to her fairly coolly. Donning his head down in respect for his superior for a few moments only to raise it back up to face her dead in the eye. He wasn’t sure what he saw in hers, it looked like passion but it bordered on duty and conviction, maybe even a combination of both. She was truly an admirable woman.
”Head-Lieutenant Oki. I received word you had sent for me from the Maggots Nest. Forgive me if I had to leave your escort behind, I’m a little too old for a babysitter. I’m also doing a little of that myself today as it would seem.” he took a look back at Sora and winked if he had arrived on time. ”The summons seemed urgent Lieutenant, and given the volume of souls in this area of the Seireitei at this time a day, it would seem that something indeed would appear to be ‘off’. Can I ask what is going on?”
He spoke his usual relaxed tone, his accent caressing the words as they left his mouth. He waited for her response which was sure to be important on any level but the expertise in which she required for the task was surely to be out for the jury. He felt equal to whatever challenge befell him, regardless of what news she would bring him he would take on wholeheartedly and place his best step forward.

[ARRIVING IN CENTRAL SEIREITEI]
Hibiki_Name_tag_test.png

77ae6376382c3ded33933be7108c142a.png

Hibiki was almost home free by this point the fifth division holding up their end of the bargain without hesitation and as result Hibiki was seemingly scott free. However once he broke through the breach that was the fifth division's garganta. He found himself standing face to face with what could only be described as a crucible of combatant’s. Despite this Hibiki was seemingly unphased at the thought of what was soaring towards him. His body fine tuned to the idea of combat let alone being a member of the seireitei’s 11th division was what made him a force to be reckoned with. The members of the fifth division began their display and they would soon find Hibiki upon them and no sooner the looming nature of the god king’s essence was soon snuffed out by his own reiatsu. He knew very well that they could only be following orders especially given the circumstances as far as hibiki was concerned his mission was very easily considered suicide. In the end this type of reaction was to be expected and as such his retaliatory response was set to follow in the most nonlethal means possible. If there was one thing hibiki learned while honing his means of combat within the 11th division, it was that anticipation for combat let alone an encounter could very well be a soldiers downfall. In this case it was no different than someone asking another to catch a dollar between their fingers even if it were mere centimeters above their grasp. Their anticipation and haste led to a premature onslaught of sorts. The wave came crashing through the entrance and much like Moses in the human worlds bible he would part the sea of reiatsu filled techniques. Had one turned back time back to his encounter with the dinosaur adjucha one could find that Hibiki had in fact been storing up his own trump card. The impacts of his shikai against the beast form was only a stepping stone to provide a means to an end if the time came and that time was now.
Hibiki_Reiatsu_appearance_1.png

Under normal circumstances Hibiki would need to make contact with someone's face to get to the satisfying crunch of bone and sinew. This of course gave way to this technique in its entirety meaning that provided the opponent was weak enough their head would be ripped from their body or bones would break under the weight of his might. Amidst the chaos of the wave meeting an opposite and more aggressive force they would find an eruption of Hibiki’s reiatsu meeting their own technique. His essence bestial by design and fierce with the might of his will for battle Hibiki’s body would come to a skidding halt and the wave would be met with an uppercut.
Whoosh!
Despite there being nothing there at all it would be as if Hibiki’s fist had struck against an anvil and as a result his own reiatsu combined with his shikai’s second ability would cause a shockwave to shoot out. The wave of kido could find itself split clean down the middle by the might of the blow. Hibiki’s sheer ferocity and prowess for combat was something that made him something more than a good soldier. That said when this wave of techniques followed was met with Hibiki’s own. Hibiki was immediately on the move once again the thought of all this fighting was exhilarating to say the least and it certainly got his blood pumping. Yet he knew these individuals were merely doing their job but that did not alleviate what was to come. His image soon emerged upon the lot of them going so far as to even grasp one of them by their luscious locks and put them face to face with the head of the hog he donned. His voice raised so it could be heard loud and clear as his reiatsu flowed outwardly from his body at this point. Someone would even be brought to a full stop in their tracks as he soon spoke to them all loud and clear.

Upon the departure of the two shinigami she ordered to alert her own division, as well ass Sixth Division, Honoka remained at the scene, delegating those that had gathered quickly on the scene. The Lieutenant comes back and forth between the scene inside, overseeing the proper handling of the slain nobles and the entrance as she awaits for the arrival of Sixth Division. The stress is apparent on her face in the form of lines underneath her eyes. A subtle change to the natural beauty one would barely take note of. She is sure to be mindful of her posture, to keep the oversized key hidden from those around her as they work diligently to recover each of the forty-six bodies in the compound.
"This is boring."
A voice only she can hear. Honoka inhales, ignoring this voice as she continues to work. She simply doesn't have the luxury of rest in such a precarious time. She slowly tilts her head, flexing the muscles in her neck until several pops are heard as she cracks it, relieving a small amount of stress on her body.
"I am tired of all this. Leave it to them."
"No."
She responds coldly to Higanbana, who quickly takes offence as Honoka continues her work diligently. She was not in the mood for her whims, and although she may pay the price in the future, she will not allow herself to become distracted. Honoka's attention returns to the scene, her eyes scanning the massacre once again. Her own questions running through her head. Slowly, one by one, the bodies are retrieved, ensuring every detail is documented in their reports before disturbing the body from it's podium to be laid out outside the compound. A wooden tablet at the side of each one displays their name, to later alert the family of their death. She walks along the bodies laid out, looking down at a body female body labeled only "Kuchiki". The Lieutenant's face grimaces. The only one not an actual member of the Central 46. How is she so certain by just looking? Despite the white fabric covering her deceased body, the features, unique hair style, and ornaments are enough that Honoka can discern she's not an official member. She had previously heard all the voices of the Central 46, and during noble gatherings, attending as a noble herself, was able to connect voice to face. Thanks to this, she was able to learn the identity of them, leaving this is as an extra body. Was she perhaps the one to orchestrate this trial against Captain Commander Murasaki? All in a failed attempt to avenge the traitorous son of hers. To clear the smudge on their name? How the mighty fall. This would only further disgrace the Kuchiki name, once so proud. Will this topple the hierarchy of nobles? Perhaps new clans will establish themselves above those slain here today? Where would such alliances fall? Will they seek to fill their pockets as these did? What of her own family? Would her own mother seek to elevate the status for the Oki?
"Head-Lieutenant Oki. I received word you had sent for me from the Maggots Nest. Forgive me if I had to leave your escort behind, I’m a little too old for a babysitter. I’m also doing a little of that myself today as it would seem. The summons seemed urgent Lieutenant, and given the volume of souls in this area of the Seireitei at this time a day, it would seem that something indeed would appear to be ‘off’. Can I ask what is going on?"
A familiar voice draws her attention, catching her as she contemplates the future of nobility in the Seireitei. She turns to face him directly, in her hand a clipboard brought to her by a subordinate amidst the chaos so she is able to document anything she deems necessary.
"Thank you for hurrying. Come, walk with me." She didn't wait for his tagalong, nor did she pay any mind to the abandoned First Division comrade of hers. Whether he was able to keep pace with his charge or not, it would be the least of Honoka's worries. She continues, "From our preliminary investigation, Captain Commander Murasaki's zanpakuto matches the cuts on all forty-seven of them. That much we can confirm, we don't have the reason why, but we've been documenting everything meticulously, and will be cooperating with your division on this matter."
She's aware that these news would not bode well to the third seat, but she continues on, now walking back inside the compound, expecting Shusuke to keep pace with her stride. Her hands gesture to different sections as she details to Shusuke her own account of the incident.
"I arrived after the fact. He was wounded, kneeling and bleeding out on the center of the floor, I healed him, but he cauterized the epicenter, leaving him with a large scar on his chest. From what I can tell, he is now under the effects of Shihōken. As for how the trial went to get to this point... I have no details. Everyone else was already dead. Even so, this has dealt a great blow to our leadership. Not only that, Co-..." She catches herself, he was no longer captain commander. He was once again a prisoner in the Muken, stripped of all rank and power within the Seireitei. "...Shobatsu Murasaki returned to the Muken as soon as he was able to walk, to serve out the rest of his sentence." She blinks, her mind making a connection that had previously eluded her attention. "I have yet have to confirm it. Since then, we have been detailing everything we possibly can, down to every splotch of blood and will be turning over the bodies to the families once the investigations are complete. Captain Kagayaki is acting commander. I want full cooperation between our divisions to uncover the truth, and maintain order amongst the nobles and the Seireitei."
Certainly, the grizzly scene would be enough to take him aback, as it once did her. Half the bodies still splayed across their podiums, the entire scene coated with drying blood, on the walls, desks, the shielding screens, even pools of the liquid on the floors. Each carved body now cold to the touch. Their faces frozen in disbelief as they lay bleeding out. She's careful to maneuver around the evidence and their markers around the floor. She strokes her chin slowly with her left hand as she continues thinking, holding the clipboard against her chest with her right arm, ready for additional questions.

Southeast Seireitei ———————————— traveling to ———————————— Central Seireitei
”Damn he’s fast.” was the first thing to come to his mind as he continued to follow after Shusuke as they headed towards the Central Seireitei with the utmost haste. Under normal circumstances this might be considered either bad or good getting a direct summons to the first division barracks, however with how the day was going thus far, everything only seemed to get gradually worse by the minute, and Sora expected no difference here, though part of him still hoped he was wrong. Maybe Shu and Sora could have had a better idea of the situation they were going into but he understood that if that sort of information could be so easily passed around, there would have been no need for a summons at all. Either way it was more than likely that Shusuke had a better idea of what they were heading into anyways since he seemed to know exactly where he needed to go, no escort needed. Then again, Sora had only woken up a small handful of minutes before Enso’s capture, and there was no telling what information had been acquired or incidents had happened while Sora was lazing about.
Despite his attempts to focus on the task ahead, Sora couldn't help but let his thoughts run wild if he has time alone with them, just as much a blessing as it is a curse. Hearing the sound of the wind running passed his ears and the blend of his surroundings in his peripheral, he couldn't drop the question and was still wondering why so much was happening today and why nearly all at the same time? An instructor of the Shino Academy kills 3 students with a kido that clearly outclassed what the victims could handle, a massive garganta opens up in eastern rukongai threatening to chaos who knows what kind of chaos, and now there is in incident in central seireitei? The incident with Enso is probably unrelated to the other two, and even those other two didn't seem related either, but these are some strange coincidenses if nothing else.
Sora knew not to jump to conclusions, especially without any evidence to point you in the right direction, but this was a little different. He had no evidence to point in any direction so was pulling simple questions from the information he did have and was letting his mind see where those questions led him. He knew they were unsubstantial for the time being but as more information was gathered, these questions would slowly begin to answer themselves, not to answer the question, but to tell us which questions we really need to be asking ourselves. Sadly, these incidents were still fresh and information was limited. But that was Shusuke and Sora’s job wasn’t it, to ask those questions and find those answers, even when they were unsure if they would like where it lead them. Luckily Shusuke seemed to be a hell of a detective and knew what he was doing, all Sora had to do was follow and help to the best of his ability and he knew he would find the answers they needed, in time.
He snapped back to focus as he felt Shusuke’s presence stop moving, thinking to himself that they must be there, Sora only a few seconds behind Shu. However it seemed that was not quite the case as Shusuke took off again just as Sora layed eyes on him again, seemed he was only stopping to allow Sora to catch up with him, though in truth he couldn't tell what his current leader was thinking in that head of his, especially with all that is going on; his mind was probably racing just as much as Sora’s, though perhaps on different subjects or through a different way of thinking all together. Although Sora didn’t stop where Shu was, he did keep in mind to at least check the surrounding area, merely pausing long his step long enough to gather their location and where it seemed they were headed, Central 46.
I have a feeling things are about to get a lot worse..” is all Sora could say to himself as he pushed that step forward to catch up with Shusuke, and to meet up with the Head-Lieutenant of First Division. By sense of spiritual pressure, she seemed strong enough but nothing special, however being in the position she was, Sora knew it unwise to underestimate her; she was probably far more skilled than she was letting herself seem. Be interesting to see just how capable she was, but he was certain he would see or hear about it eventually either way. Now only about 10 or 15ft behind him and easily visible if Shusuke simple looked over his shoulder, Sora needed to focus on the task ahead and the reason for why they were there. And so he slowly made his way forward, giving lady Oki a respectful bow if she looked towards him but never interrupting or speaking unless directly spoken to, simply watching and listening and learning. The only sound that could be heard from Sora was the slow but deep breathes he was taking to regain his stamina after pushing himself to catch up with Shusuke of their way here, and even that was kept almost mute so not to disturb the briefing.
