It had been so long. So long since she had seen it. It’s extraordinary design and a crisp scent of sterilization, herbs and medicine soothed those seeking it’s aid. The hospital looked the same as it had two months before she had gone off on her mission. Now, yes it was true that she had been gone the entire two months but really she had finished what she was there to do within a single day and because in the process she had damaged her location device that woman had gotten hopelessly lost. After smashing through a few buildings and some shaky directions, Omoni Hageshi was in route.
On her way to the hospital Omoni had caught wind of an alarming inclusion during her absence. An evil man had been reborn from the Shin'ōchikadaikangoku and placed in the halls of the fourth. She interpreted this to mean that she needed to scrutinize his judgement. It was not that she didn’t respect Yu’s decision but it did seem to her that a lot of her time was spent nagging the kid into stepping up his game or coming down on him for not performing well enough in her stern opinion. Essentially, she concluded it wouldn’t hurt to get an idea for herself nor would it fade from her mind until she did something. Once the great woman showed up, those in the vicinity were stunned as usual. If it wasn’t her ghastly appearance it was the power emminating from her so fervent she had trouble supressing it. Such an overwhelming sensation could have driven them into the ground but facility wide everyone of them knew that she had arrived and some kind of clash was bound to come between the second and a fresh third. Like a stomping rhino that none in her path could hope to stop she made her way casually through the winding cooridors until the Lieutenant spotted him five feet away from her.

Abruptly, the second seat stood silent while effortlessly maintaining the reality that now that she was finally there, a change of charge was in order. Morbid Curiousity could have been one of the reasons why Omoni opted to do nothing for the time being about what was so dark atleast from her point of view. While some might only see what might have been a snake in the grass...Omoni peered deeper into the weeds where she saw the eggs he sat upon. If anything was clear to her from the first time experiencing the man’s dormant Reiatsu it was that he had something he was guarding. As of yet, Hageshi could not pin point what that was and that great number of possibilities was really what earned her interest in him.
First and foremost, she assessed how the hospital had benefited from or been hindered by his presence there. She took into account the way the medics conducted themselves in response to her arrival or in general. Was there relief in their quick sighs and eyes or did they appear stressed further. Honestly, this would be a little difficult for her to discern because her presence alone was usually enough to experience their avoidance. Actually, there were a few signs that Hageshi could count on reading accurately. Both she and Kaguwa appeared to illicit discomfort from those around them but there were particular differences Omoni caught on her radar. It was immediately plain to see that they did not trust him or his intentions but none in their place would speak up about this. Not even to her. Though he smiled at them and they returned the favor, they were uncertain and that alone was enough to breed distrust. When she passed the halls inspecting their work they were anxious but every single one of them put their faith in her. To them she was a shield that stood between them and those that would seek to do them harm. A valiant warrior stationed to face the horrors they could not while they see to ensure those that need them are tended to safely. Next, she would take into account the condition of the facility at a naked eye’s glance. Were the floors polished, was a nurse or two taking patients in and were those on the lists waiting too long? Were his surgeries getting done in a timely manner and were there records of them? Only a deeper inspection would tell her that.
Now, Omoni could not be so quick to judge the surgeon. After all, it wasn’t but a few years ago that she had taken a trip to the maggots nest herself and she had seen potential in a dangerous convict. The woman had made it her mission to see him released and not only that, given a squad to serve and some might argue a purpose in life seeing as to her pleasant surprise he had been able to secure a Lieutenant’s seat for himself recently. Even so, Omoni could not ignore that when she compared those situations with the present one that in Jinnosuke’s case there had not been the venom dripping off this encounter with Kaguwa. Naturally, Omoni didn’t pay much mind to the vibes she sensed from others simply because anything that she confronted was something she deemed manageable. Either verbally or physically she would force things to move regardless of what could happen to her. Perhaps it was a sort of ignorance that followed the giantess. A sort of ‘ I don’t care what’s going on, I’ll kill whoever I need to whenever I need to.’ thought process played on repeat in the mountain’s head. After taking all of this into account, she greeted him as if he had been anyone. Without a smile and inducing a suspicion that she might have been grumpy.
“ Kagūwa. Been lookin’ forward to meetin’ you---”
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Just as she opened her mouth to speak to the man again, a portion of her Hakama let out a shrill sequence of chimes. This immediately garnered Hageshi's attention and prompted her to retrieve a Denreishinki.
Quote:Heeeeeey, I know this is sudden and you like just made it back buuuuut I need you to swing over to the 11th Division ASAP and check up on Jinnosuke. He has a few booboos that need some attention and I’m kinda tied up at the moment. But I trust you can handle whatever it is… After all, you're my lieutenant!
You’re the best, Omoni! ( ˊᵕˋ )♡
After a brief few seconds of leering at the message Yu had left for her, Omoni turned on her heel and immediately backtracked her way through the halls and out of the hospital. This was without pardoning herself for such a sudden exit almost as if Kaguwa and what was on her mind before no longer mattered. It was that simple for the great woman that she had deemed whatever called her away to be worthy of her time more so than inspecting the new recruit or even meeting up with the Captain to greet him.
Once she emerged from the division four doors, Omoni took another look at her location device. Although she didn't expect the dead screen to change she still glared helplessly at it as if perhaps her anger would terrify it into rebooting itself. When this did not happen, Hageshi released a small sigh and looked forth to her path ahead. It was going to be touch and go for a while but surely she would find her way there.

Two months had gone by since the random event considering the Vizards. After cracking down and investigating the site, with members of the sixth division, Maho saw that he had to do a much more proactive job at getting information and getting it quickly. He needed numbers, above all else. A force of shinigami capable of moving about in a large enough group that nothing could be missed. With many of his divisions best having been out on assignment, they began to fall behind in this department. And soul king is damned if Maho fell behind the treacherous phantom. Having traveled out far into the Soul society, deep within its mountains and valleys unnoticed, Maho had emerged from his travels. The long street leading to their barracks was barren of many obstructions, let alone people. The only one being his pale-skinned second Lieutenant. He hadn't seen her in some time, so in many ways, this was akin to their first real meeting. She had requesting to join his division only a short time ago which left a strong impression on Maho. Clearly, she had spunk. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind nor stand her ground. Any open and honest soul was one fit for the ninth, especially of Maho's respect.
"OI! Shinobu! He calls out. Dressed much more traditionally today, he wore his half sashed kimono and his green sash around his waist. On his feet were sandals instead of shoes. At his side were two other recruits, two brown-skinned bones. One, sporting a large fro and the other a long blue ponytail. They were covered in minor wounds and scuff marks, signs of a clear confrontation between them making themselves clear to any investigative journalist with a keen eye. If Shinobu was on her game, she would have been able to pick that up effortlessly. Stopping a few paces in front of her, he peers down at the fair-skinned woman. For a moment he said nothing, then exhaled a cloud of smoke in her direction.
"I want you to give your new fourth and fifth seats a small tour. I'm going to my office. After you introduce them to everyone, meet me back in my office. Oh...and if you see Jiro, bring his goofy ass with you.
He brushes past her, unnoticing to his own demeanor he wonders the many hallways of his division allowing Shinobu a chance to show her stuff.

Stepping into the area was a large and wide-open courtyard. within this area was mostly a single large flat "arena" consisting of large slabs of stone. To the front, left and right were different large buildings. Each of these buildings was connected by a number of above and underground hallways, though, from here each of their main entrances could be seen. On the right were the offices, where most of the administrative and "reporter/journalistic" work resided. On the left was the dojo and training buildings, where those mostly tasked with combat work were always stationed. The center building housed the Captain's and Lt's quarters. This is where large meetings occurred.

Within long hallways resembled dojos and classic Japanese architecture. Some rooms had workout gear and others more concentrated with classic furniture seen in classical business offices. There were server rooms and an arcade as well. For a time, Maho swept through these areas alone, taking periodic puffs of his cigar. After a good ten or so minutes, he makes his way to his own living quarters.

Within his own living space, houses his office. The room itself resembles a dojo with a large desk at the helm. A few plants litter this space, though most characteristically are the large row of floor seated placements right before his desk, clearly made for members of his division to convene. Behind these sitting spaces was his own personal garden. Within was a pond surrounded by stones and foliage. Many normal and specialized plants, including food, grew here freely. Maho often took time to nourish and tend to these organisms. He takes a few steps out into his area, slips his sandals off and lowers both his feet into the pond. The cool water sends a chill through his skin, giving him goosebumps. For a moment this is uncomfortable, but quickly the still water becomes welcoming. He stands here, lowers his stance and concentrates once more. He inhales, causing his cigar to burn away until it was a nub. The smoke fills his lungs, the heat filtering rapidly throughout his body.
Then he exhales.
A concentrated surge of flames flashes from his body. Unlike his attempt many months ago, the flames do so with control, concentrating just around his body. This impressive display causes the water to bubble, steam rising in large volumes. It lasts but three seconds before these flames subside. He spits the cigar into the water and then exhales once more.
Interesting. The pain from the flames is bearable now. Not comfortable...but bearable.
He free's himself from his thoughts, without leaving the water. It remains hot, boiling for a time, feeling much like a natural hot spring. His mind concentrates on everything that occurred in the last few months. All the way to the Koketsu and then the emergence of the Vizards. In the last few months, more had occurred than in three hundred years. All of it was alarming. He couldn't shake the fact that fate had nefarious plans for them all. However, with no way to get any true answers yet, all he could do was contemplate and think. Find some pathway to what the future would bring. Times sure have changed, haven't they...Jury Senpai?
The dragon watches the passing clouds above the head, awaiting Shinobu to emerge with their subordinates. It had been roughly twenty minutes now. They were sure to return to him soon enough. With his clothing now dirty, he wonders back into his office and goes over to his clothing cabinet. He begins cycling through a number of outfits. What will I wear today...I wonder...

Today felt longer than usual. The sun was jogging, as birds were racing. The air was occupied by a distinct heaviness. An insurmountable level of tension was flowing like a river. What’s next?
A heated battle between two 9th division recruits was fresh on the horizon. The young Shinigami’s, Jatiri & Jigoku, dueled for 4th seat. The fight went on for quite some time, but in the end, Jatiri came out victorious.
After the brawl, Jatiri bore no malice toward Jigoku. In fact, he grew to respect and admire him. He didn’t open up much, but he was certainly drawn to Jigoku’s fighting spirit. Their mutual desire to grow stronger coincided, and this meant he had a potential rival.
Jatiri materialized alongside his captain. He proceeded to trace his fingers through a gash across his upper left arm. Then, he eyed a tear in his shirt, before finally realizing that he’d been missing a shoe. He chuckled half-heartedly to himself and shrugged it off.
Jatiri scanned the entrance of the barracks, becoming lost in it’s minor details. Soon, he locked eyes with the fair-skinned woman, nodding respectfully. As the captain began to speak, Jatiri would sense the subtle vibrations, he quickly turned his head to read his lips.
Why? He was deaf.

“Ah… yeah, I needed that,” the boy contemplates, rubbing his wet scalp with the palm of his hand. He continues to mess with his glossy hair, attempting to remove every last bit of moisture from the hot springs as he approaches the doors to the relief station. The familiar smell of ointments and the sight of organized chaos greets him first, then followed by an urgent, hand wave from one of the several receptionists stationed by the front. Quickly, the doctor shuffles towards her as the nurse stretches her stiff arm over the desk with clipboard in hand.
“And, what’s this?"
… Yū asks, curiously peering over the receptionist’s desk to steal a glance at the pinned documents.
“Nurse Inaba has already checked him in Room 12A and just finished the preliminary clinical examination,” the woman informs bluntly, her attention drawn only to the forms in front of her. Even with her arm outstretched, her other finds no time to rest, tirelessly scribbling away with no sign of slowing down.
“Oh, he’s early today! Probably excited to be done with his last scheduled checkup,” Yū hypothesizes, receiving the clipboard from the nurse’s hands. The Captain takes a moment to rest his elbow and lean on the edge of the desk to go over its contents, his head twitching slightly every few seconds as his eyes travel from line to chart to line on the patient’s medical report. After intense yet brief skimming, the boy raises his head again. “Well, everything looks good, so I’ll go on in and handle the rest. Got anything else for me? he follows up optimistically, hoping something from the usual routine would be shifted– something to add a little variety to the tiresome jobs they all endured.
“Nope.”
As expected.
“Alright… uh… well, keep on, keepin’ on!” Yū adds as his final, parting statement, now beginning to make his way to the eagerly awaiting patient. Just after he turns the corner, the same, scatter-brained receptionist calls out hastily…
“Captain Nakamoto!”
The boy instantly halts and zooms back, peering his head from behind the wall so the source of the voice was in sight. Without further delay, she continues…
“I forgot to mention, but… Lieutenant Hageshī is back in today.”

“Oh… th-thank you,”
... the Captain answers, simultaneously flustered and excited at the news of Omoni's sudden return. It felt like it was just 15 minutes ago he was desperately wishing for her back, and just as reliable she was in the flesh, her spirit seemed to always find its back to him– to protect him, to take care of him. While he wanted to forgo his duties assigned and just sprint down the halls now in search of his second-in-command, he would need to attend to the matter of his patient first; The quicker he could get this day patient out, the sooner he would be able to see Omoni again. With hasty steps, Yū makes his way to Room 12A.
*Knock, Knock, Knock!*
Gleefully, the blonde pokes his head through the doorway with a pleasant smile before greeting him.
“How’s my favorite patient doing today?”

Entering the barracks of division nine covered in dirt along with cuts and bruises was, Jigoku. Coming from the battle for the fourth seat against his squadmate Jatiri, he could be seen with his hands behind his head as he enters. Yawning loudly, Jigoku suddenly stopped in his tracks behind Captain Maho listening to him speak towards their second lieutenant Shinobu. With their conversation ending, he couldn't help but let out a lot a small chuckle to what Maho said. Shifting his eyes towards Shinobu then back to Jatiri opening his mouth to speak in a mild deep voice.
"Tch, don't get too happy Jatiri. I gave the fourth seat because I got bored. So don't get all high and mighty."
As he finished speaking a look rosed upon his face, what type of facial expression was he making? The expression of realization of course due to him forgetting that Jatiri is deaf. Jigoku tends to forget things like that because he doesn't talk much with others, but he is recommended to communicate with others to build chemistry. Turning his head slightly back to Shinobu realizing their captain left he waited for what she had to say.
