After his abrupt pause, Ijoushi shrugged to himself and returned to his training, pleased by the presence of his fellow officers. Sinking back into his pace, the boy continued to dart around the perimeter of the gym, boring a trail into the dirt where his trajectory was. Not only did Suru practice his speed, but he also worked on his precision; paying close attention to the trail his feet made and making sure they never strayed too far from his initial route. After several laps, Ijoushi could feel a current of air gilding him, allowing him to travel lucidly through the air, aided by the swaths of undulating wind that followed him. His frame snapped from the plane of sight, and his figure seemed to bleed into the air itself, his strides as fluid as the wind. Ijoushi smiled as he ran, and although the burn in his legs was still strikingly present, he felt somewhat serene as he trained, his eyes shutting and his eyebrows leveling as he continued. The regiment became naturally easier as it progressed, but Ijoushi made sure to constantly ramp up the pace, upping both the speed and strain of his run.
After his energy depleted fully, Ijoushi coasted through the current for a while and then dropped out of it, falling back onto the comfortingly solid ground. Air burst from his mouth, and he exhaled deeply, taking several generous swigs from his water bottle. He sighed, content with the results his training.
'Whew, that was really good. I should do some training more, I could become super strong!' Ijoushi thought to himself, a grin etched out on his face.
“Oi! I got a great idea you bums! let’s go to the hot springs!” The Lieutenant exclaimed, tearing Ijoushi from his episode of pride.
“Yes, yes, we’ve all been working hella’ hard, why not kick back and enjoy life?” Ijoushi gazed up at Kyuuzou, nodding. He seldom heard the Koi speak in such a playful tone, and what he said was definitely accurate. He had only recently obtained a seat in the division, but he found his days had been packed with labor and training. He certainly enjoyed the challenge, but did agree that a break was well-deserved.
"Okay!"
Ijoushi grinned and took off, trailing behind Jigoku. He shadow-boxed loosely with the wind as he walked, hoping to pack in some extra training before they arrived.
