Katsuo watched her with curiosity then listened to what she had to say about wanting to live.he supposed wanting to live was a great idea, but without even the slightest bit of risk to that dream, you can't move forward or get stronger. It's not that he thought Oya a coward when she said that, it felt more like she didn't want to give her all when it came to becoming strong. Maybe she needed inspiration.
"it's fine if you don't wish to be a leader; But even without being one you should still strive to be stronger.. if not for yourself, but for the people that rely on that strength, like me, Arashi, And that Zanpakuto of yours."
He stood back up and looked out the window over Oyama's shoulder, smirking a little bit. Heading to squad two barracks was going to be rough. Make that double so if members of it were still alive and guarding it from everyone. Perhaps some could still be reasoned with, Katsuo didn't give up that hope, they were all Shinigami, regardless of origin, by birth or not.
"Let's head there then. Maybe we can find out what it is that's making the Squad two members lash out, and put an end to it, preventing more loss."
He said, leaving the window and prepared to leave so that they could hit the road once more. He put on some more upbeat music to run to. He surely hoped Oyama could keep up, but since she did all this way, he'd go a little easier on her this time. It was what he did for the smaller orphans, often taking the rear end of beatings by the jerks that were after them for them. Underneath his clothing one would find an array of old scars.
"I'll lead the way as usual but don't fall behind."
He said, before he started running toward Squad two Barracks.

The two of them seemed to be bonding well. Though process is going slow, but steady as it should. He never thought he was the only one to go through hardships with in the Rukongai, but he never got adopted into noble house-hold either. It has always been him in those days. Fending for himself, occasionally defending others when possibly, but ultimately being screwed over in the end... Times back then, were not the best, and truth be told he did not miss a single second of it. No one... The Academy, the Soul Society, the works of a Soul Reaper saved him from total damnation and a high possibility of a short and fruit-less life... However, todays events, mainly the fight against Sword Eater really brought him back to those days when he was helpless, but yet still he smiled in the face of his trials and tribulations. Somehow, this man knew there was a better future, a better him soon to be revealed. Indeed, Hoshizora means to bring this new Arashi out. To vanquish this soft and catered heart and unleash a will that had been bottom up in side of him for so many years.
Speaking of vanquish, this monstrous power that seemed able to cover the world explodes from Central District. His eyes did not need to fall towards the wind or even the general direction to know that it was the Captain Commander. A battle is taking place and just as quick as it started, it would seem as though the battle ended just as quick. Arashi could feel the power, the killing intent, the fierce strike of a true swordsmen! Commander Shobatsu Murasaki, his raw strength is unparalleled and with just a single slash he could erase the atmosphere and an entire domain from existence. Admiration, envy, and fear, these feelings are hidden behind his genuine smile and yet again, closed eyes. So what is the outcome of this mighty slash, yes, Arashi could tell that Commander Murasaki drew his sword, even if he is not physically there to see it...
Despite the on goings of what just transpired, Katsuo and Oyama seemed to be making plans to head out again, but their destination would be Squad Two.
"You two, please refrain from going to Squad Two, unless you have an absolute reason for heading that way. Since Squad Two is causing a great deal of trouble, based off what I've heard, it would not be wise to even approach or even step with in 100 feet of their division. I'd hate for you two to be caught up in that mess. If anything, catch up with Captain Kagayaki or gather information from Squad 12 about the frequent Hollow activity in the World of the Living that way we can stay on top of things and act accordingly. The last thing we need to do is neglect our duties as Squad 13. I will catch up with the two of you as soon as I am able."
To them, that would likely be his final statement. His body relaxed almost immediately, allowing for his mind to drift away from the world and extend mental imagery of reality to a world where infinity is his play ground. The inner-world... His first time ever being here, he remembered it like it was just a few seconds again. With no where to stand, he floats. He use to find it hard to breath, his body unable to move. With mastery to his Shikai, Bankai and overall control over his spiritual pressure he is able to shrug the natural affects of his world. Standing, as if there was a solid surface to stand on, breathing without any sign of trouble, moving as freely as he always now a days whenever he would visit. Despite the the many Galaxies and stars that inhabited his inner world, usually, Hoshizora would be there to greet him almost instantly.
She surely took her sweet time, but her gentle voice would soon echo across the endless void.
"Arashi..."
She could only say his name as masses of light pulled together to form her being. Wrapped in robes of light, curly blonde hair, golden eyes and naturally unscathed and untouched skin. While representing eternal beauty, she also represented untouchable power. Such power could extend to every corner, every length of the world! There is nothing her light could not reach and as such, it should be the same for Arashi, but his ineligibility to act upon these understanding made her give him a questioning look, one he had not see in a very long time.
"Arashi, young man, you do not lack the skill nor natural talent to use me in the way that I am meant to be used. While I admire your kind heart and gentle personality, it is those same qualities that almost got you killed, us, killed. I am speaking in reference to today's in events against that Hollow. As fast as we are, as skilled as we are, there should not have been a reason that the Hollow should have been still standing no longer than a second. I always worry about you, and there has been a multitude of times where we have faced such creatures or anyone for that matter that it almost cost us our lives. I am not asking you to change the way you approach or speak to people.."
She shook her head and then started to approach Arashi. Becoming closer, her arms immediately wrapped around him pulling him close.
"I am asking that we vanquish our enemies with a smile on our face. Painless, swift, as death is both beautiful and merciful. Our light reveals and cleanses all things that comes into contact."
As always, she made fair points. Arashi never did enjoy killing, but even now, he had to realize that the world is surrounded and gripped by the hands of death. The Zanpakuto is not merely a sword, but an extension of his very being. Was he really ever killing anything? Maybe it is this mindset that made him lack the means it took to vanquish his enemies as soon as possible. As his arms wrapped around Hoshizora, on the outside world, his Zanpakuto began to separate and crumble away into points of light, much like before, his Zanpakuto was released and in such a control and refined manner, his body is once again wrapped in robes of light to increase the healing process, an ability Arashi had no idea that Hoshizora possessed...

Oyama was about to head off, when she heard Arashi spoke, causing her to turn to him, watching him as he spoke, about staying away from second division, to which to her disappointment she had to flow the orders, as she sat below him, and Katsuo sat below her for some strange reason. Though he was right, about the events that transpired across the Seireitei was not an excuse to neglected their duty to protect the world of the living from hollows. Though with whats happening she wasn’t too sure if twelfth division was scrambling about, before finally turning to him, as he was now in a relaxed state, she had to voice herself in this situation, as his choice wasn’t one that could be made at this current moment.
“While I agree with your statement, about not neglecting our duties to protect the world of the living I must say, that anything we uncover at second could be detrimental in the soul society as a whole. Going to twelfth a this time, wouldn’t serve to help either the world of the living or to the soul society. If we were to head to the world of the living whos to say there would be a Seireiti to return to? I’d rather defend my home, and allies at this current moment allies. Although it pains me to admit it, the world of the living will have defenders ready, with or without the Shinigami being there!
There she huffed as she looked at Arashi, before speaking once more.
“I’m asking… No asking is not the right word, I’m begging you, please allow me and Katsuo Oda to head over to second division, and see what we could uncover, I promise you that if we are to be in trouble I will pull us away from there as fast as we can. While also calling for aid from any near by captains.”
Her body would fall down, with her head sinking low to the ground as possible to beg for Arashi’s permission. What she said was all true, she wanted to defend her home and allies alike, she sought not for fame and glory, but only to be there as a protector, wanting to be a small cog that could help turn a much bigger wheel. For the way she saw it was that every Shinigami that was able to, would be defending their home in some way shape or form, and if she or someone else could send information to the captains maybe just maybe they could help prevent something else from going off.

Katsuo hit the breaks hearing Arashi tell them doing their duty in the world of the living was more important; that going to squad two was the worst thing to do right now. It might be, but that was the problem right now. Everyone was too worried about themselves and continue to 'Mind their own duties' instead of lending a hand to a fellow Shinigami regardless of Division. It's possible not everyone in Squad two was a traitor… would we be like humans and think a few rotten eggs spoil the whole bunch? Katsuo wouldn't grovel at Arashi's feet to go, no, he was too proud for that.
"What greater Duty is there than to protect your home from an invader, previous ally or not?"
He said, looking away, toward the Southeast. every soul in the south was feeling the oppression of that energy squads one two were letting off. The people Katsuo visit in the Rukon as he promised after getting adopted. They were dying, down there just from the sheer pressure.
"People in the Rukon, all over the south end are dying..and you expect me to ignore it, Arashi. I'm sorry. I came to the Soul Society from there. I can't just sit by and let the people who raised me before the Oda adopted me die. If there's even a chance we can help change the outcome of this scenario. I'll take it."
He said, putting a hand on his shaking Zanpakuto. Eiko could feel the heart of a true warrior coming out from Katsuo. The highest feeling any Oda has, is to protect their home, and it's people, at all cost. Even at the cost of your own life. That is why each Oda trains like there is no tomorrow, because to them, you could die tomorrow. However to Katsuo, he could die today… and bring Oyama down with him. She seemed okay with that, which is why he found her a bit more entertaining than his own rival for captaincy of thirteen.

Before he could enter his inner-world to speak with Hoshizora, his two comrades spoke up. It wasn't to disrespect his wishes or to deny his orders, but they seemed to feel as though discovering information with in Squad Two is the right move. To help their comrades, all in all, seemed to be the focus for these two. Helping others, Arashi understood that, the Rukongai, despite his upbringing and all he went through taught him to care for others. While Oyama begged and Katsuo displayed his resolve and a determined face to see this through, the both of them would be met with the same expression he always had. A smile and closed eyes, this did not change, but shortly after his eyes opened slightly allowing a sliver of his gaze to be seen. His gaze shifted, but not his head, peering at the two from a side-eye glance while he continued to lay straight back in the bed.
"I see... If going to Squad Two is what you feel you two need to do, then I will allow it, but understand this before you go. We are put in place to manage the World of the Living, that is our main priority. The situation from what I can tell is seemingly between Captain Mukuro and Commander Murasaki. I understand your feelings, but do not let your feelings dictate your motives and choices. We have a job to do, so when you two do arrive, you are to stay out of Squad Two and observe from the outside. Squad Six is likely to perform their duties in apprehending any and all Squad Two members if the situation is as dire as the battle in Central. If there is nothing of importance there, then leave. As I said, our concern is the World of the Living."
He is also one who has come from the Rukongai, without privileges or the mercy of a Noble Family. He arrived from the Rukongai as a an outcast, but through all, he prevailed and got to where he is today. If Arashi had to be honest, he did not care too much for the Rukongai, his smile hid all the pain it ever caused him. He had no regrets, no tears to shed for those who aimed to destroy him back then, but... Arashi knew better than to throw everyone into the boat. Not everyone was as disgusting and as despicable as the people he met in his time there.
His eyes shifted away from the two, closing finally. Surely the two of them would be off at this point, to handle what their minds are set upon. Arashi could only hope that the two will not do anything drastic or get themselves killed or worse... As the highest ranking member of Squad 13, he could not leave his duties behind so easily, not without a logical reason. For now, those two will have to watch each others backs.
Once they were gone, Arashi would be able to relax and start his aforementioned conversation with Hoshizora. His Zanpakuto had formed into robes made out of light to wrap his body, covering his wounds beginning to further the healing process in order to lessen the amount of time it took for him to heal. Safe to say, he will be well and able to move sooner than expected... While even in his inner-world he could feel the subtle affects. Hoshizora by now would have removed her arms from his body and back way a bit to allow him to speak freely. Her eyes seemed interested into what he had to say. She had a great deal of respect, love, and faith for him. She knew well that he will and would not mis-use or treat her wrongly That isn't the man that Arashi is.
"First and foremost, I want to apologies for my lack of willingness to deliver the first and final blow as quickly as possibly. It almost got us killed. In the end, I was honestly... Scared..."
Arashi looked away when he said that. Even though he felt a bit of shame to admit in the face of his Zanpakuto, he did not need to. She felt every tremble, every hair on his body almost stand-up. The thought of death passing through his head. Though he feared death, he did not fear how he died. In her view, it seemed that Arashi is ready to let go of this gentle and kind nature and allow for his ideals when it came to take a life to dwindle into nothing. Even being tired of the conflict, joining the Soul Society meant that he could not escape it. His duties put him in positions where his enemies had no care for his life or the lives around them.
