"Eizoku Yugameru, Third se-.... former...Third seat of the Fifth Division. You have my deepest respect and utmost appreciation for saving me - Captain Nakamoto. I am already aware of the workings and suspicions of every "unnatural act" that occurs in soul society. No matter how ineffective, inconvenient, and troublesome the measures are. Out of appreciation for your deed and respect for you and your position, I will willingly comply to any interrogations or tasks you require of me. Although admittedly I must admit I have my own selfish reasoning for doing so as well, I too would like some answer about this situation."
Eizoku takes a moment to slide from the bed, before kneeling down with a bowed head. While this type of reverence might be expected or even asked for by other Captains, his unmoving stance is broken. Yū is taken aback for a moment, taking a single step back and looking down at the third seat on his knee as proceeds to speak again.
"However, I ask but one simple request. As you can see, I'm stained in well over 100 years worth of both my dried up blood and the hollow that had stationed himself within the dangai that caused both this predicament and the one which happened not too many years ago that caused destruction to reign down upon the Seireitei. I only ask for a fresh set of garbs and but a moment to clean up myself. You may have me under strict guard, I have no intentions of fleeing or causing difficulty for you. However, as it stands, I am unable to think clearly in such a vile state."
Of course to those not present to witness his traveling through timelines and facing head-on what could be described to be a potentially greater threat down the line, the events Eizoku had experienced firsthand would all sound completely fabricated- a convoluted story made on the fly to act as a sorry excuse for a century-long disappearance. This, however, is why most of Eizoku's words enter Yū's ears one way and fly out the other as none of this information pertains to him except for what he had asked just prior: his name, his division, his seat. After getting those three things, only sparse phrases are registered in his mind, absorbed as supporting details- background noise. 'Hollow stationed in the Dangai... destruction raining down upon the Seireitei...' The Captain recalls back to 10... 20... 30... years ago, and nothing regarding "destruction raining down upon the Seireitei" came into memory.
Yū wastes no time further looking for any semblance of sense from Eizoku's statement- the task of finding that answer would be handled by the Kido Corps. And while the Captain is equally capable of delving into his mind and accessing these memories himself, this responsibility does not fall under his jurisdiction, leaving very little left that must be done.
He stands in silence for an extended moment, his eye contact unwavering even while Eizoku begins to undress until he's down to the measly sash that he uses to cover his groin.
...
"Anyways, while I appreciate the gratitude, I'm under strict orders from the Kido Corps to hand you over immediately. They will be the ones interrogating you and I assume later... you'll have to answer to your Captain."
Yū's free arm hidden in the folds of his Shihakusho extend to reveal a set of cloth in his hand, flipping it over to reveal a brand new Shihakusho for the third seat. He turns to place it gently at the foot of the bed as he continues to speak.
"Most I can do is give you these new robes and a minute to get dressed. Shouldn't take you long while I alert them that you're awake."
With haste the room clears out, the still-startled medics who had been fighting for their life just moments prior first staggering out before their Captain follows suit, sliding the door closed behind them to allow Eizoku a small window of privacy.
"He's awake, as promised."
... the Captain announces a couple minutes later to the Kido Corps' members who have been waiting patiently in the lobby until this moment. They all rise to their feet in unison, already lining up in an organized fashion as Yū reaches out to hand Eizoku's zanpakutо̄ to whoever considers themselves the leader of the group. One breaks from the crowd and approaches the Captain, extending their arm out to grab ahold of the offered zanpakutо̄...
"Please follow me."
... before the Captain leads the group back to the Intensive Care Unit.
While Yū's stride is characteristically relaxed as his involvement in the matter is virtually over, the Captain can feel the urgency in the following troupe's gait, all becoming aware that their responsibilities in this situation are just beginning. Once they approach the room's entrance, Yū tiptoes to the side, allowing the Kido Corps' clearance to enter the room when ready and retrieve their former third seat for their investigation.
