T
he trip itself was rather….uncomfortable. Originally, Uzu had only intended on helping escort the body of Captain Asakura, and as it would seem his death came as a surprise to anyone who would be privy to that knowledge. Tasked by his own Lieutenant to oversee the escort and to document the details and report back to him, and also potentially Captain Yugure once getting back. However, this woman from Seventh Division seemed to be rather short of a temper and clearly had no patience for the diplomacy of the situation. Noticing the grudge riddled across her face from the moment he and Shusuke approached the gate to allow them passage, you’d think she was some form of royalty with the way she carried herself. Unfortunately, he was only concerned with one Third seat, and that was the one from his division.
Nevertheless, despite the rocky start to their journey to the Fourth barracks they eventually would arrive, albeit in utter silence. Taking heed of her rather overt way of telling uzu to stay out of her way, he intended to do just that as he had very little intentions on arguing with a woman. After witnessing the interactions of Shusuke and Yasu at his own division, he vowed to take on a “yes ma’am, no ma’am” approach with most women he meets of higher ranking than himself. The last thing he wanted was to be caught politically incorrect. Even allowing a respectable distance throughout the travel, he allowed her to take the lead in the trip and followed her to the barracks. Regardless of her initial feelings, be it negative or positive, Uzu was only there to perform his job. Just like her.
It didn’t take long to reach the Fourth’s barracks, as it was just across from his own around the Ninth’s district. They would arrive at the same time but he awaited her moves toward the barracks before making his own, so as not to cross her inadvertently. Reluctant to say anything, he just simply waited on her, and made sure to follow the protocols and rules that the Fourth division would have required from both of them.
"I hope you're having a better time, Lieutenant..."

The Fourth Division is ever busy, as it seems there is never a moment’s rest for those who find healing and tending to others as their calling. So long as Shinigami are to do battle, so long as conflict exists so too would the shinigami of the Fourth. Captain Nakamoto has had his hands full. With the return of the Fifth Division’s former Third Seat it is thanks to the Captain alone that the man displaced through time could continue living a normal life, that he could stand and walk and continue to be an asset to not only his division, but the Gotei 13 itself. The young Captain has worn many hats within such a short frame, he has been healer then briefly interrogator, and now with the Kido Corps arriving to collect Eizoku, he dons the hat of escort as he guides them to the returnee. Standing aside he leaves the Kido Corps to their business, perhaps thankful that his role is now finished and he can return to some semblance of peace even if only for a moment.

”Captain Nakamoto-”

If the young Captain did have such aspirations of resting, he would need to shelve and postpone such plans for a later time, or another day. Standing beside the Captain, staring towards the direction the Kido Corps and Eizoku have gone, is an individual adorned in crimson attire, their identity veiled behind the concealing cloth. Young Yu will undoubtedly recognize the agent as being one of his subordinates. While the Captain is not a fan of the agent’s superior, he is no fool. He recognizes that based on the agent’s attire they are of the Inner Court Troops who move only to deliver messages or missions of great importance. For Yu, it is a familiar feeling, similar to one’s received whenever he was given a mission to act as proctor for a Captain hopeful. Before, under the reign of former Commander Murasaki, the importance of this particular Onmitsukido Unit was made obsolete by those who had branched away to swear fealty to him alone. However, with Shobatsu’s imprisonment, it would seem they have returned full circle to how they were meant to be.

”-you are hereby ordered by Commander Kagayaki to report to the meeting hall at the First Division. That is all.”

Report to the meeting hall, had the Captain done something wrong? Or, perhaps there was a medical issue requiring his expertise. Those were the first two likely options, though there was a third. If Yu was being called in, what were the chances the other Captains were being called as well? Would there be another Captain’s meeting, and if so...would it be similar to the last one? With his mission accomplished the agent presents the young Captain with a respectful bow, and upon its completion Yu finds himself alone once more.

Though Signy’s face appeared disinterested and apathetic to the fact that her arms were cradling a dead body to anyone that would have seen them on their journey to Fourth division, her inner thoughts were a maelstrom of thoughts and arguments with Shori. They had retreated to schism in their mind, both squaring off on their respective sides. Signy wondered to some degree if her body had collapsed like the last time this happened or if it was just instinctually moving. Too them, the world had fallen away and all that existed was the darkness that encroached from behind and the searing heat of lava bubbling in the divide between them.
How do you think Grandfather would feel if he saw how poorly you treat those beneath you!?
For the first time since they departed, Signy’s face changed. A sneer plastered itself in place of the blankness. Her hands tightened around Itsuki, her nails leaving small crescent indents into his flesh. ”Shut the fuck up!” She snapped before she fully realized that she was no longer staring down Shori, instead Fourth division’s barracks were ahead of her and she’d fully verbalized her words. Her eyes widened as she froze in place. She stood there only for a moment before she glanced over her shoulder at Uzu. ”My apologies, that wasn’t directed at you, if you’d even been saying anything at all.” She reached down to her sash and untied two of the pouches of candy, tossing them to him.
”One of those is for Captain Yugure. You can have the other as an apology.”
Without another word to Uzu, Signy stepped over the threshold into the lobby of the hospital. Scanning the room quietly, she shifted a bit uneasily, now fully aware of how unusual it was for someone to just stroll in with a body. She quickly approached the first nurse she saw, putting on the most sheepish face she’d ever made in her life. ”Excuse me, but I require your Captain.” She lowered her voice, her face turning stern now.
”Seventh Division requires an autopsy for Captain Itsuki Asakura.”

Now that time stood still, this would have been the first time Uzu had ever formally visited the Fourth barracks. Under the regime and direction of the old Captain, Maho, there were some members who frequented the hospital dwelling inside the division. All of them injured or were injured from training practices, Ninth was on the very edge of having a special wing to themselves much like their Eleventh Division counterparts. This changed however once Yasu came into power. Everyone once loyal to the Dragon of Kojima was now either captured or dead. Which left nothing left then for everyone else to fall in line accordingly or follow the same fate. It was obvious what Uzu Ogawa had chosen and his allegiances lie only to his superiors I'm I'm Ninth Division.
All the while taking in the scenery of the Fourth's base, he failed to notice a seemingly odd occurrence with the Shinigami he was charged to escort. Be it that she was quiet throughout the trip while she exuded a robust and quite "spirited" nature, explaining to Ogawa that she had no desires or intentions of him actually participating. Lucky for them both, it was out of their hands completely. His attention would soon snap back at the woman once she had exclaimed profanities albeit not to Uzu, but seemingly to herself? As an extra measure, and out of reflex, not only did he place his hand upon the hilt of his zanpakuto, he also looked around the area to scan for any threats that would warrant such a random reaction. He found and felt the presence of no one. His gaze slowly returning back to the blonde, perplexity still written across his face as if he wished– or rather hoped that danger wouldn't befall the two of them.
She looked relatively calm despite her outburst, she then turned partly to face the young shinigami and scoured through her pockets. Had she finally grown tired of him? Did she intend to fight? He never lessened his grip on his blade, and also never shifted his stance and planted himself like a tree, something Shusuke had taught him when refining his form. Thankfully, it was only candy.
"My apologies, that wasn’t directed at you, if you’d even been saying anything at all. One of those is for Captain Yugure. You can have the other as an apology."
The look on his face was confused and blank as a white sheet. The one eighty in behaviour threw him in a loop. One minute he was disincluded in the participation of the autopsy, now he's being offered candy for his Captain and himself for his troubles.
"Uhhh….Thanks?"
It was this same day Uzu decided to not date anytime soon. Taking his hand off the hilt, he slowly and curiously grabbed the candy from her and placed it close to the inside of his Shihakusho. It couldn't have been anything poisonous to harm his Captain. Her stomach and immune system is, as Shusuke would have said; overtly fictional. Watching the Seventh Shinigami step into the threshold of the lobby, he wasn't far behind. Immediately brandishing his notepad and a small quill, he was ready to take notes. Taking a look around it would seem the hospital was relatively busy to some degree, bustling with activity that required Signy's physical touch to command the attention of their brethren. Uttering a simple sentence that should stop even time itself.
"Seventh Division requires an autopsy for Captain Itsuki Asakura."
Watching the heads turn upon the word 'Captain' being spoke, Uzu sensed the weight of the lobby shift on its head. He only hoped he'd have enough ink to fully document the events.

The "gaze" expression that Junko was giving him was more on the intense side..., Was this something that he should be concerned about..? Never the less he knew there was work to be done. As Junko began to skip out into the hallway where it had been extremely quiet, Mizu felt a slight tug on his arm where he looked down and saw Junko still holding onto his arm.
"We have work to do, Mizu-san."
Just as she was finishing up that statement was when he felt the tug. Without hesitation, Mizu followed and let Junko pull him wherever she needed since he knew they'd be working closely together for a while. Was there a mission? Are we going to the land of the living? Did we have paperwork to complete? This all ran throughout his mind wondering what Junko had In mind for them to be doing since she seemed so eager to get the work started. Trying to keep up with the excitement that she was extruding from her reiatsu power, Mizu decided to just let go of his whole demeanor of being level-headed and finally let go. This was something more on the wild side for him since he was usually always goal-oriented and extremely serious. There was no easier way than just relaxing and letting go and just take step by step. Knowing this was what he was working for while in the Academy he took each step with a full heart. Letting go was something that Mizu rarely ever did but just feeling this power and personality from Junko was something that made him want to just relax and be open-minded with everything happening and everything that "MIght" happen going forward.
As Junko kept ahold of his hand he decided to just quietly mouth, "Was this the breath of fresh air I needed to finally let go?" Something that he has been hoping for since he knew being always serious would not turn out well sooner or later. Either way, this was something new that he knew was well needed. Finally no longer thinking of the past now he was able to move his head around looking to see where they were going.
There was a slight grin of excitment coming from him as he looked over at Junko and said,
"If you dont mind me asking Junko-kun, But where are we doing and what are we going to do?"
