Exiled Gods
Northern Rukongai, in the first district, there sits a manor with massive walls that would rival a castle. These walls are not ordinary they are comprised of Sekkiseki but it is not to protect it from outside threats but to contain what is within these walls of this massive manor. If the Seireitei was a planet this manor would be its moon. A messenger arrives the same one that was spoken to by Tenzen Oda earlier and he has a message to give. He approaches one of the guards, this guard does not wear the standard Shinigami attire but instead is dressed in traditional samurai armor, albeit black and white in color. On the chest plate of this armor, there is a lotus flower a family crest for the owner of this castle-like manor, the Oda. The messenger approaches the guard who watches him cautiously, the second guard who stands at the other side of the gate pushes his thumb against the handguard of his blade, unsheathing it ever so slightly. A Cicada chirps loudly on a nearby tree almost as if it were watching these events unfold. These guards are ready for a fight even against this unarmed messenger. The hostility in the air is thick, the messenger loses his composure for a moment and swallows the building saliva in his mouth as he forces the message out.
"I have a message from Captain of Division Five, Tenzen Oda. He says, ''I'm overturning the old man's decision. I want you to train Katsuo properly and please don't kill him.' This message is to be given to a Yurui Oda. That's all!"
The messenger bows his head, the hostility still looming over him and these two guards say nothing. They continue to watch him and after a few minutes have passed he raises his head and looks at them both wondering why they haven't said anything to him yet. His heart races and pounds so loud he can feel it in his head even his breathing has ramped up, his senses tell him that these two men are going to attack and kill him if he doesn't leave quick but he has a job to do, he must at least see that through to the end. The Cicada from before flutters its wings and flies off.
"The message was-"
"The message has already been passed on! Leave!"
The messenger didn't think twice about what was yelled at him as he quickly vanished from sight, the two guards returning to an "at ease" state once more. The messenger could only think about how he'll never deliver another message to the Oda Manor for as long as he lives. Within the walls, there is a vast and open courtyard with tiled floors, much like the ones found within the Seireitei. The tiles seemed to be in perfect condition as if they were just recently replaced or repaired. Across this open courtyard sits the Oda Manor multiple two-story buildings are scattered around all with the same traditional Japanese theme. The first thing that is noticed about the buildings is that they are all similar, there exists no individuality between them, an almost militaristic aesthetic to them to be exact. Among the first line of buildings another guard, this one dressed in lighter attire than those stationed outside, kneels before a shōji and announces himself. There are sounds of a solid object being struck repeatedly, whatever it was it sounded heavy.
"Yurui-Sama! I have a message from the head of the clan, Tenzen-Sama!"
THUMP, THUMP, THUMP
This continues for a bit until a deep booming voice calls out to the guard.
"ENTER!"
The guard shutters and opens the shōji to enter, closing it behind him. He kneels once more looking straight towards the ground the entire time. The room was dark save for a few beams of light that pierced this darkness via the shōji.
THUMP, THUMP, THUMP. That heavy-hitting sound echoes once again making the guard wince each time this unknown object is struck.
"WELL!? WHAT WAS THE MESSAGE!?"
The guard flinches as if the words reaching him were a fist about to strike him. He shakes it off and recollects himself.
"Tenzen-Sama said that he is overturning the old man's decision and he wants you to train Katsuo properly!"
A growl of approval is heard, this growl only serves to scare the man further.
"INTERESTING! VERY WELL! YOU ARE DISMISSED!"
The guard turns to leave, he was glad to get going but he realizes he forgot part of the message and stops to deliver it.
"Ah, I forgot that he also said-"
"I SAID DISMISSED!!"
Yurui turns and stomps his foot, the guard is instantly crushed by an outburst of his Reiatsu. Heavy footsteps pace over towards the downed guard, his limp body is lifted off the ground and thrown through a wall. Light illuminates part of Yurui's body, part of his abdomen and the arm that threw the poor helpless guard. That arm and abdomen were covered with scars and both were equally massive in terms of muscle mass. This is the very same man Tenzen recalled in his memories two months back that kicked him in his gut when asked why do they fight. The light also illuminates what can only be assumed to be his training room. That object he was striking repeatedly was a massive tree trunk one that has holes, gouges and fist-shaped indentations in it. More guards rush over to their downed comrade, check his pulse and order to have him taken to the medical bay. They then begin immediate repairs on the broken wall as Yurui turns and vanishes into the shadows of this room to ready himself for Katsuo's eventual arrival.
