It's a shame that things have ended up in this state. One can't help but wonder why things were allowed to get to this point. Although, given how things currently stood with certain doom impending, it didn't matter much. The show would continue to go on so long as the man was amused. And to say he wasn't having a blast would be to lie. While he loved to lie, he never fibbed when it came to having fun. It was the one treasure that couldn't be tarnished. To lie was to have fun, to have fun was to truly experience life. Without the proper tools on hand to feel such emotions, why even bother? An odd way of thinking had always surrounded the man. No one really knew what he thought or why, but soon enough this would come to light. For now, he was fully intent on playing the role of the innocent teacher who'd lost control. Suspicious or not, he wasn't found guilty just yet. Yes, that verdict would certainly reach him by the end of the day, but did this really matter all that much in the grand scheme of things? Yet another question that he held the answer to— no, it didn't matter at all. Kido bindings, Hakuda masters, the utter lack of weapons — none of it phased him. Despite his lack of mastery, he was confident in his guaranteed expertise in physical combat without his esteemed weapon. Sure, he would miss Aion, but maybe they really did need a break. They were a bit suffocating sometimes.
It was time to relax in the Maggot's Nest; the place that people seldom exited. His confidence was not to be mistaken with arrogance. Every moment that passed allowed him to continue to formulate multiple plans. Each had a unique beginning and ending. Leaving the man to his thoughts was the most dangerous thing that these people could do. They couldn't be blamed for this, though. There was no way for them to know about his strategic nature and an inherent desire for destruction. Many would assume that destruction and strategy can't work in tandem, but they clearly missed a lecture or two on the history of the world. Every single action thus far had been met with no resistance. His bindings were undone, but he didn't move unless instructed to do so. There was never a need for these shady men to repeat themselves or use additional force because he showed no reluctance in his actions. The way in which he complied was eerie, to say the least. If he was innocent, he should be putting up more of a fight. Perhaps it was because of his extensive knowledge of the history of this Division that guided him. Maybe he had been a cold-blooded killer.
Well, not maybe — he was, but he wouldn't admit that until he had an audience of his liking. A grand spectacle needed to take place in order to satisfy the man's hysterically nihilistic nature. A familiar presence washed over him as his eyes began to bulge, the crimson deepening into a vermillion as his blood boiled. He knew that this person was well aware of his presence and he hated them. They had interrupted his murder mystery with their disgusting presence. Yes, his brother, Enji, had appeared on official business for the First Division. As he continued to do as he was instructed, he had to do everything in his power to suppress any flare-ups. He wanted nothing more than to break free from the grip of those surrounding him and pounce on the man that wasn't too far from him. In an instant, he could certainly take him by surprise and perhaps bite out his jugular with his canines. He'd revel in the blood that would come from his sibling's neck while others rushed to detain him. This would indict him, surely. However, he wasn't going to give in to his fantasies just yet. No, the show was still on— regardless of Enji's presence.

A female hailing from the Second makes herself known with a cold and demanding voice. Her monotone volume dances on his ears as he begins to disrobe in front of her. Had it been anyone else, they surely would've objected. As if he was bursting from the seems, his face began to turn red. Surely, she'd think this was due to embarrassment. It certainly seemed to be due to this, given that he hadn't spoken and his blank expression hadn't wavered. The truth was that this was euphoria. Being treated like a Maggot while still retaining false innocence had driven him to such a low standing! This was magnificent, marvelous, splendid, majestic, phenomenal, even! With an air of diluted grace, his clothing came down as his bare flesh met with the air. It was quite chilly, but he really didn't care considering he got to wear garments that felt weighted. They restricted his Reiryoku quite a bit. Despite this, he didn't care much about their function. As binding as they were, he still felt comfortable enough to fight. Though, from what he was feigning they would never be able to tell this. Following the woman's every order to the tee, he couldn't help but wonder why they thought putting a vicious murderer with the general public was a good idea. But, then again, he wasn't the adjudicator, so he didn't care. Maybe he could kill a couple of people while formulating a plan. Something had to sate his boredom that was bound to come.

Sora had been taken by surprise when he heard the voice behind him, not having seen the man when they arrived nor had he heard or felt the man's spiritual presence. But Sora did not let this surprise get the best of him, keeping his eyes forward but his ears locked onto the conversation between the man and Shusuke in silence. Although he hadn’t thought about it before, he was unaware that bringing a potential criminal to the maggots nest would exempt them from any sort of trial, though it did make sense since the nest was a prison, not a holding cell; something Sora would ensure to keep in mind for future investigations. At least in this instance, it would probably matter little as the odds were stacked highly against Enso.
As Shusuke had relieved Enso into the possession of the Onmitsukido and began making his way back towards Sora and Hidaeki, Sora was about to speak up before Shu had been abruptly informed of a new mission, one that couldn't be ignored. Although Sora was originally planning to go help civilians in the Rukongai escape the potential danger zone, when Shusuke had turned around to face him, he knew he would have to postpone that idea.
”Sora, you’re with me. I’m guaranteed to need a second pair of eyes for this. Now however will be the time where you’ll need to keep up with me though.”
Sora responded with a confident nod, taking a brief look towards the rukongai, hoping things didn’t get too bad out there. The moment he heard Shusuke take that first step Sora would quickly follow suit, pushing himself to ensure he could keep up with Shu’s speed, something Shu was obviously more skilled in, a product of the gap in experience between the two. Sora didn’t even have time to acknowledge the escort, having to focus on following as close to his leader as possible. There was no doubt in his mind that the escort from the First Division would quickly follow after them with the utmost haste, quite possibly passing Sora with ease in the process since this was supposed to be the Head Lieutenant. With this thought in his head, Sora pushed himself even harder, not wanting to embarrass the Six Division or himself for being unable to keep up. Even if neither of them noticed or cared, it mattered to Sora not to fall behind and become a hindrance, especially with the day going as badly as it has, time may very well be a limited resource.

Vacant Eyes
His mind wandered as he and the others at the door to Maggot’s Nest awaited the prisoner. Thoughts of what he may be doing later on in the day after all is said and done here slowly creep into his mind even though he isn’t exactly tethered to the events at Maggot’s Nest. Him being here was simply out of curiosity, to be more precise he was being nosy and it was his job to be as such. There had been quite a bit of things happening on this day and he wanted just a peek at what was happening. However, now he finds himself bored looking over the trees in an attempt to find something to pull apart while he waits and leaves won't suffice. Mumbling with discontent he shifts himself on the branch as if he were about to leave the area until his ears catch the sound of fluttinger clothing, a cloak of some sort perhaps? Regardless of the origin of this sound it was enough to make him peer over his shoulder to behold the arrival of Sixth Division with their prisoner in tow, Instructor Aikawa. What did he do that would send him to Maggot’s Nest? Was he the cause of the earlier disturbance or perhaps the cause of things in Rukongai? His friend is out in the Rukongai, she even called for help following a massive explosion… She mentioned something about a Garganta as well. If his friend were to die and if the Instructor is the cause of it he will be sure to visit this man when he is imprisoned.
Eyelids, ears, lips, teeth, tongue, and scalp are a list of things Ochitsuki would pluck from the man’s face and head should he receive news of his friend’s death. Clearly his critical thinking skills aren’t the best or maybe he is just looking for a reason to dismember something or someone.
”Shusuke Kiyoshi, Third seat of the Sixth Division. By now you must have been informed of my arrival from a superior. I have a potential suspect in a triple homicide situation that took place within the barracks of the Seventh Division. I was given word that our arrival was to be expected.”
Triple homicide at Seventh Division? His friend was not there and like that a wave of disappointment washed over the young Shinigami as he realised he cannot tourture the Instructor. The other two following the Kiyoshi man follow through with the orders given to them taking the Instructors Zanpakuto from him and the moment this is done another figure appears behind the one known as Sora. Appears would be a bad way to phrase it as from Ochitsuki’s perspective he materialized within a blink of an eye. This occurrence is not shocking to him in the slightest and if it was he wouldn’t show it on his for nor body language. The man’s voice was low so he could not pick up on what he was saying exactly.
"Another maggot to join the nest."
These words are spoken louder than his first which springs the guards into motion acquiring the blade before shortly surrounding Kazumi and Instructor Aikawa. His head tilts to the side observing this situation, more-so, he observes Enso. This man who killed three officers of the Seventh Division gave up so easily? Or is it because he figured he couldn’t kill the arriving Sixth Division party as well? The moment Sixth Division leaves he could be at an advantage again as there is only one officer here with the rest being mere grunts, himself included. He is hesitant in his decision making and thought process, so much so it stills his body in action but this is fine as the arrival of guests is not over. More guards come to tell about the arrival of the First Division and it seems like Sixth will have no rest this day.
Restraint measures were being put in place for the Instructor with Kazumi telling him to change, the serious nature of her tone was more than enough to prompt Ochitsuki to drop down from the tree he was hiding in, landing beside her. He had secured his Zanpakuto to the tree, he knew the rules. Using his hands he communicated with Kazumi telling her “I want to help” with his amateur sign language. He shifts his attention back to the Instructor who began to disrobe before them in order to put on the garbs that were brought out for him. His face was red, was he embarrassed about changing? Surely not no person who kills in cold blood should be shy about undressing when they aren’t shy about killing. This Instructor, this man, will soon become another maggot in this nest, however, caution should still be observed as maggots eventually become flies. He watches Enso, wide eyed, he wants this man to become a fly, yes, evolve into a fly and taste freedom once more.
Taste that freedom so that Ochitsuki may pluck away his wings, then legs, and return him to his helpless writhing on the ground. A maggot may become a fly but Ochitsuki will turn that fly back into a maggot.

Northeast Seireitei ———————————— traveling to ———————————— Southeast Seireitei
Long hair swaying with each movement the girl rushed forward. Having left Fourth Division's barracks after being briefed on the newest lab results it had been made clear how serious the situation was. Dark green eyes settled on the direction of the Maggot's Nest where the members of Sixth were currently congregating- she only hoped to meet them in time.
From her understanding it mattered little what the facts were when it came down to it now that the accused man from Third was being processed into Second. Not many ever returned from such a place, especially with such heavy charges and little to defend himself against them. It was hard for her to believe the sweet faced man had done such an atrocious act. Upon first hearing of his arrest she had wanted to do nothing more than argue. He had been her teacher in Academy only a few short years prior- a green girl who knew of little treachery in this life or the last. As Fourth Seat Izumi had arrived back at the barracks and began her tests the woman yearned to kick and scream and demand his release. He had to have been telling the truth. Perhaps they truly had attacked him and pushed harder than they meant to. Or perhaps something else entirely had happened.
Above them all the sky had been torn asunder like flimsy paper and the Rukongai seemed to be a land of explosions. Surely with so much chaos going on in their world Sensei Aikawa deserved more of a benefit of the doubt than he was currently receiving. Pulled away by another Fourth member to stop her from disturbing the Fourth Seat in her duties she was given a description of the scene of carnage that had been left behind in the man's wake. Like a child she had simply pouted and again refused to believe. Three were dead, it was quite clear there would be a mess. How did this fact make it the Sensei's fault?
Having stayed close as she awaited the results it was a roller coaster of emotion as Junko had received the first ones and discarded them nearly immediately. That had to be the proof of his innocence. Was she tossing it aside due to her strange dislike of him? Once more she was forced to stay away, no more knowledge of what was happening than before any of it had started.
The pull of the reiryoku of those she sought was getting nearer, close enough for her small range to sense them although she could not yet see them. Making herself run faster she pushed onward until she came stumbling into the clearing, nearly falling over as she stopped herself. There in front of her stood no one but Second Division members, the feeling of the reiatsu of the Sixth fleeting further away. A groan passed her lips, desperate eyes seeking out the one who appeared most superior of the bunch. He had been interacting with a woman who had escorted Sensei beyond the large doors that housed the Nest.
Looking to the man with a gaze that seemed far away she felt her own eyes threaten to well up with tears. Whether guilty or innocent she did not want to be the one burdened with passing along the information that could potentially condemn him all the more. If only she had done her job instead of waiting around outside of the lab when the second and the third results were finished.
She had been given another report to pass along to the Second Division members she came across. Junko didn't seem awfully concerned about who among their ranks received the information- seeming to trust the dead eyed bunch in their honor to not bury the truth. Regardless of if any decided to do such a thing there was still the second report to be delivered to Sixth and the one housed within Fourth. Stiffening her pose to appear as less of a mess than she was she gave a deep bow to the strange man before her, reaching out with both hands an envelope with the report along with all three copies of the lab results.
4thnpc2.png

"Yui Konoda of Fourth Division, sir!" The girl was practically shouting to cover the wavering in her voice. "I was sent by Fourth Seat Izumi with a report on the arrested member Aikawa Sensei. According to the samples at the scene of the crime there was evidence of blood from all three of the Seventh Division members in nearly every corner of the crime scene. There was only one localized place where the Sensei's blood could be found which according to both who arrived on the scene first...Junko Izumi of Fourth Division and Shusuke Kiyoshi of Sixth Division is also where Aikawa was found. There were no other traces of his DNA anywhere on the scene,"
Saying the words herself and aloud were like knives to her belly. Hands balled into fists at her sides she could barely contain the shaking. She waited for any sort of acknowledgment from the man, and once it was received would simply give him another deep bow. Even if he were one who enjoyed talking she would not have it in her to do such. She simply wanted to get the second report out to Sixth and go crawl in a hole somewhere.
