“Aha-! Young Maho, it’s good to see you too, hmph. And huh.. I guess you didn’t?”
Good, he remembers. So he hasn't gone senile then. Yu did his job.
“Eh.. It was much needed. Can’t have an old man like me out of practice for too long.”
Maho's Inquiry was answered fairly quickly. It seemed the old man took on the fresh challenge fine, at least physically. Who knew if there was some unknown mental tole. Most wouldn't give that any mind.
“Hm. He’s not as elusive and annoying as you were but, an admirable foe nonetheless. You’ve just been wandering about this whole time?”
"Wow, so you not senile enough to remember to bring that up.

He smacks his hand on the floor, then returns to a relaxed posture, crossing his arms over his chest. Still seated, the young captain exhales. He remains here, silent for a time, finding what words he could say, if he could even muster up the effort to say them.

"Honestly...
I've been out the game too. It's only today that I finally accepted any of those cheap forms of healing. Omoni San got me good..."

He sighs softly, inhaling more smoke. "I felt a little out of it, because of back then. Somehow living with that physical pain made it feel like I made amends in some way.
Maybe...
If I had come up with something else
been stronger
faster
you wouldn't have gone under for so long...."

Mahosmoke.png

He raises his hand to his face and takes the cigar in between his digits. Smoke wafts and trails through the open air, freely. Like dense clouds, these strands would only dissipate long after he has left the room.
"Matter fact...Walk with me. Something tells me there is something you are going to want to see. I sent Jiro on a little quest for me.
An alert sounds in his pocket.
"And it sounds like the truth is running today."
"He bolts onto his feet and cruises out of Higen's Living space. Expecting him to follow at some point, if he so chose, he would lead him along into his own division courtyard. Flocks of tenth division members seemingly jutting about in a good mood. They were hard at work, in an almost celebratory fashion. It almost warmed his heart.
"I thought I had a lot of stuff I wanted to say. To ask. But seeing you walking around as proudly as the day you went down has made me lose the words entirely."
However,
Eventually...
...I do want you to tell me...
What was it like up there?"

He hopes there is no need to explain any more what he meant, yet in order to cement this hope, he continues.
"You know; the Kokotsu.
I didn't look away...
not even for a second."

Maho steps out into the Barracks of the 10th, out into the open streets of the Southwest Seireitei. He walks with a casual glide, in no rush or hurry, but with a destination in mind.
"Its gon' take more than a glorified light-show like that to deter the eyes of The Dragon. I saw the skies blacken, then shatter. I honestly cannot explain what my eyes saw in detail. I literally do not have them' words."
He takes out his Denreishinki and taps away at the screen as he speaks, offering moments of silence so that his fellow Captain can respond. A new post arrives from his third seat. It reads,
Unlucky Cat Today — Location: Sixth Division.
It seems like things are getting worse by second. With the cooperation of Second, Sixth, and others are coordinating to respond to the emergency. Guess what?? There's some liquid that looks familiar, it gotta be Yasu Chan's ability, so she is within the barrier and I don't know who else is inside. But it seems that by what Katsuo getting arrested had claimed that the third seat of the 13th Division and Captain of the Fifth Division is trapped inside the barrier with Yasu.
Captain Maho, the bottom line is. Things are getting worse. They're even arresting Katsuo Oda and others from the 13th Division for attempting to go inside. Furthermore, the arrests of those shinigami must mean that someone is taking control of the situation and demanding no one interfere.

He reads the message and goes through the events once more. Yasu seemed to be a consistent name popping up. Where was her Captain? Maho knew of his overprotective nature when it came to that pink-haired brat. Meaning, that if the ninth division knew of her arrest, it would not be long until her Captain knew as well. What's more, is that that fresh Captain Oda was involved. Fates wheels churned often, but rarely as perfect as today. With so many different cogs moving in the same direction, there had to be something important going on near involving the 5th, 6th and 2nd divisions. There had also been mentions of the Kuchiki's as well. Still...there were a few more dots to place before he could determine anything concrete.
"If that's too much for you to dive into than I don't mind waiting" Implying that at some point the aged Captain would have to tell him. Which of course he did not. This was hardly a possibility for Maho. He would have his answers.
"Regardless, there seems to be something happening in the Soul Society today. And by something I mean a whole heap of shit. Just today I watched Jinosuke challenge Lt. Ueki for the right to be Lieutenant. And on my way here, I saw a large enough barrier cast over near the royal houses. Now, the last time there was a barrier, Second Division was running amok. So that's already settling. What are they trying to hide? And why are Shinigami being arrested?
i'll be damned if anybody tries that bullshit on ME. Tuh!"

He stops and gives Higen a glance, the two still several city blocks away from their destination, though already Maho can detect numerous signatures of spiritual pressure, most easy to make out. They are getting close.
Jiro has reported something along the lines of royal affairs and the arrest of the Second Division Lieutenant. As well as Named mentions of that new Captain inside. Seems he's having quite the first day as well..."
His eyes peer upward into the open air, the sky is devoid of clouds, barren and vast. A strange wind courses through the air, ruffling his locs and picking up the back of his Haori. It is a chilling breeze despite the warmth of the day.
"With all that being said,
Something tells me...
that the wheels of fate turn on us once more.

Even without being able to see his eyes, Higen can feel the intensity coming from him. At the very least, Higen's unknown unease about the day was shared by Maho and his information would undoubtedly cement this feeling. or so he believes. With that being said,
The Dragon and the Shining Knight were but a few paces from their destination, Close enough that within a number of minutes they would arrive. Far enough away and at a pace that the two could have a conversation undisturbed.

It appeared that the priestesses did not persu as they were occupied with the perminator of 6th division and the barrier that surrounded the Manor. Good but there was one figure that was missing from it's original position. The male shinigami who despite sounding like a person who did not want a fight was ready for one. The tone of his voice and the way he stood it was more than likely that he was a man from 6th division, a professional in catching criminals and professionals were more predictable than they would like you to think.
There was no sight from the front or her perfierials, that meant he would more than likely come behind her. She was observatent always has been, be it Oyama, or Furia in contr, he was nowhere insight so it would more than likely he would appear behind her.
“The right decision is to keep my distance from 6th division, Neither of us want to get sent to some secret prison don’t we?”
Now he was able to hear her words but he would promptly ignore it by speak a kido spell, on his first word she would turn body around as quickly as she could, by the time the blue spark ignited her blade came swinging up aiming to slice his hand from his arm, all the while his aim went off just a just a bit. As the blue lighting launched it would connect and hit her shoulder boring a hole into it and tensing her muscles up but still her blade swung around still aiming to slice it off from the wrist, just as he was sending more reiyoku onto the kido spell, effectively ending it once her blade would slice through it. He was far to close and that was his mistake, choosing to cast his kido spell from a distance would have been a better option, but this allowed her to trade a blow with little room for error, she didn't forget about his blade either as her motion continued to hit it hard enough that both blades would clash together.
Claaaanngggg
Unlike the battle that happened with Katsuo, Oyama wasn't going to interfere with this one, in fact all she was going to do was watch. This man was no friend of her nor was he a squad mate. He was just a man who begrudgingly followed orders, like a dog.
"Hadō #11. Tsuzuri Raiden!
Yellow lightning would pour out from her zanpakto and onto his had he not pulled away in time it would more than likely travel across his blade and onto his body, shocking his muscles and stunning him in place.
that was a bit extreme wasn't it? I just wanted to see what was going on over here once I saw the barrier, but once I heard the voice of the priestesses I knew that it would be impossible to get in."
Her eyes were locked onto his as she spoke, no anger no sign of the man's attack phasing her emotionally, just a calm tone, and an unflinching face. And soon again she would speak, in same tone he did to her, a cold and harsh one, one that had a killing intent behind it.
"right now I want to know if you seen a darker looking male around five nine five ten go into that royal Manor."
Her blade had moved up aiming to slash into the man's chest just close enough to the neck to to let him know that she wasn't prey. She was the hunter who brought him to her, not him chasing a helpless animal. She wasn't done with just a slash her blade would stopped Midway but she spoke as she would make a stabbing motion her aim was to dig the blade right into his chest and slash up to his shoulder, where she wanted to render that arm useless, to prevent the same fate of losing a hand.
Nodonokawaki o iyasu Blood fiattopanda (relive your thirst Blood Panda)
If the man thought he could just simply back away her blade had begun to extend forward and curve due the length, while her handle also begun to extend out, allowing her to balance it all out, though it was a funny sight if one where to see her wielding such a large blade, on a relatively short girl with her only be 5’4. She didn’t want to kill him, but she did want to bring him closer to the soul king’s reincarnation cycle, than he would have liked.
Furia was let loose and not being restrained, this was Oyama also wanting to see the extent Furia would go, again no interference from her. She was afraid of Furia’s actions, as they were more aggressive compared to her own as it was defensive in nature and sought opportunity in there attacks, where as Furia was pushing forward creating opportunity to attack.
“Don’t kill him, it wouldn’t be a good to have my name written down as a traitor to kill on sight.
Laughter came out from Furia, and it would be outloud, though she was laughing she remained focused on the mans actions, waiting for him to respond both physically and verbally. She didn’t respond to Oyama’s request but she knew that killing him would be no good even for her.

Melding seamlessly into the mass of squad members, Kazumi's singular form became a blur. Mixed with the immense shadow that followed after its Captain. The concerned looks that were clearly evident on each of their faces had been wiped away. The cold, blank stares were all that could be found among the mass. Despite any fear they may harbor, no such weakness would dared to be shown by a single member of the squad. They were no longer themselves, simply an echo of what they formerly were; shadows in sight as well as mind. All surroundings were now viewed with the most clarity. Any emotions aside, all incoming information was taken in at its purest form.
Somewhere lost in that cluster, Kazumi's bright eyes took in her surroundings as they moved to the west. Face a mask, her thoughts more focused. Even so, she couldn't help but wonder exactly what was going on here. She cursed her age, certain that was a reason she had little understanding. The Kidō Corps were there, that was obvious. It was not difficult to see what squads were involved. This was not enough for her to be able to have a solid grasp on the situation. As their halt began, Kazumi moved herself closer toward the front, the smallest concentration of their numbers which followed directly after the Captain. Keeping herself back, enough to observe but not in plain view. Settling in this position she stood with a rigid back as their Captain spoke.
kazblank.png

She didn't dare move. However, she allowed her eyes to roam freely. Glancing about to those that stood before them. She was familiar with who each one was, either by description or some brief meeting. Unbidden, a small twitch moved her shoulder by a fraction of an inch. Yasu? How long had she been dealing with the Maggot's Nest and her duties before that? What had been happening while she worked so far below ground, oblivious to the world around her. Her teeth grit together slightly. She had followed their Captain with no questions, she believed in his reasons. Now knowing herself what was at stake, she agreed all the more with the decision.
They were seen as scum and traitors. That was fine. Kazumi accepted this inevitability without a second thought. The bonds that formed with their peculiar lifestyle... None of them could stand aside quietly while such a thing happened to one of their own. She felt renewed, her flame burning brighter with a subtle rage coating her. Come what may, whatever stories were told and whatever sort of names they wanted to continue to lob at them, Kazumi did not care. They would get their Lieutenant back.

Rukongai ———————————— traveling to ———————————— Southwest
The situation at the Kuchiki Manor can be summarized simply as a struggle to maintain control. Shirogane Kuchiki struggled to keep his clan under his control, Captain Oda struggled to keep the Aku Hachi Hakkō under control, now both of them have failed. The Kido Corps struggles to maintain control of the Barrier, the only thing protecting the rest of the Seireitei from meeting the same fate as those who struggle to regain control of their own Hollowified bodies within. As a result, the Fifth and Sixth division struggle to control those trespassers who in turn seek to control their own worried minds. Trespassers, such as Captain Mukuro, who now struggles to maintain himself, to control his inner emotion.
“Let me into that Barrier.”
“No.”

018e420cf5ed3d47692cf49fa0f3d904.png

Without a sign, without trace, the Commander is here. There is no fizzle, no shimmer or gust of wind, it is as simple as this: one moment he was in Rukongai, and the very next, he is behind Captain Mukuro. His shadow casts itself over the Captain, the Commander’s massive frame eclipsing the comparatively tiny man. He says only a single word, and yet the weight of his voice would bear down upon the rebellious Captain like gravity itself.
One word, and the matter is settled.
“You will send a message to the Twelth Division. Notify them of my impending arrival.”
A task. That is all he offers the great Captain in this time of turmoil. The only action he grants the assassin to take. The Commander speaks to him as though he were nothing but a messenger. Perhaps, to the Commander, this is his only value, an errand boy, meant to serve his function. It is true that as Head of the Onmitsukidō, one of Kyomu’s duties is to oversee the Inner Court Troop, the branch of Onmitsukidō responsible for relaying messages between Shinigami. By the Commander’s order, this task is to be delegated to Kyomu himself.
An assassin, a political strategist, a gatherer of information, A Captain. Kyomu Mukuro is called many things, but never stupid. The Captain knows he is on thin ice. He knows his actions today are already unfavorable, that his division is perceived worse because of them. In his confusion, the Captain has chosen not to care. However, there is one thing he cares about. His Lieutenant. Should the Captain consider his options, there is only one conclusion, the very conclusion Shobatsu knew he would reach the moment the order is given:
Even if Captain Mukuro could save Yasu, defying the Commander’s order would only result in her death.
Kyomu is once again, and perhaps for all eternity, is at the mercy of Shobatsu Murasaki.
Then, just as quickly as the Commander arrived, he disappears. Those present would undoubtedly search and scour for the Commander’s presence, seeking to find out where he has gone. In particular, the Kido Corps would be searching to find further instruction, seeking to locate the one man that has never struggled to maintain control. While the Onmitsukidō search out of panic, to locate a potential opponent, a massive threat, their first instinct likely being to search behind them.
It is only Kyomu Mukuro who looks ahead.
The Commander stands, just as he was behind kyomu, exactly as he was when he departed Rukongai. Only, now he stands on the other side of the Barrier. The Kido Corps, and the High Priestesses, would have felt no intrusion, no resistance or forced entry. There was no spiritual energy that made contact with the Barrier’s surface, nor physical signs of anything touching it, and yet, there stands the Commander within.
A man of true power never needs to display it, only possess it. Commander Murasaki did not require anything, even movement, to penetrate this infallible defense. All he had to do was half the distance between himself and his destination incrementally until that distance reached a fraction to zero.
028ab02d42961135dfecafb675b6b18d.png

Shobatsu stands now within the confines of the Barrier. The interior of which was converted into a jungle of lotus flowers and a marsh of black tar. Such things would surely impede another man from entering, but aren’t even significant enough as to be called an inconvenience to the Commander.
The air surrounding him begins to sizzle with an invisible heat. The tar at his feet beginning to boil, then burn. Like oil, the black ooze ignites with purple flame, seemingly fuelling the intensity of the fire. The heat of the fire is enough to burn away the powerful threat of Lieutenant Yugure’s Bankai, as her own doubts bleed through her Zanpakuto to fuel Shobatsu’s Purging Flame. It is a simple matter to control, with Shobatsu choosing to regulate this mere fraction of his Reiatsu to only about six feet surrounding him. Keeping a circle of endless purple fire at the edges of this radius. His flames burn through three feet of the ooze, clearing away any tar that attempts to flood him, revealing the pristine floors of the Kuchiki Manor.
Before him now is an incredibly dense forest of sprouted lotuses. The thickness and cluster of their stalks renders it impossible for even an average sized man to traverse into the Kuchiki Compound, let alone one of Shobatsu’s stature. Empowered by the Hollowification of her Zanpakuto, Yugure’s flowers would not be trimmed as though they were simple plants. No, it is perhaps only her Captain’s Zanpakuto that could cleave through these effortlessly. Well, her Captain’s….and her Commander’s.
2acd2143a93e75bda3ab2c07afb4e43d.png

There appears to be no movement. No shine of light, no whistle. The Commander does not move, has not moved, since grabbing the Pot in the Rukongai, or at the very least, it appears that way. Yet, in an instant, every flower within the Barrier comes sliding down. Their stalks cleanly cut, each stump measured at exactly the same height, exactly the same angle. As the tops of their stalks fall, they each appear to begin disintegrating...no that’s not quite right. The flowers are being….shredded. How could this be? Surely the Commander is the cause of this, and yet the only thing about him that moves is his haori waving in the breeze.
Sunlight comes flooding into the Barrier once more, restoring visuals to those foolish Shinigami outside looking in. What they see may haunt their dreams. As two abominations exchange blows atop the roof of the Kuchiki Manor. Though their reiatsu cannot be felt from the outside, and though their appearances have been so terribly malformed, those familiar enough with the pair would be able to recognize them even from a distance as Arashi Suta, and Captain Tenzen Oda.
Their fight is cut short however, as their footing is lost. The lotus flowers were not, after all, the sole target of Shobatsu’s zanjutsu. The very top half of the entire Manor starts to slide. At first, this a subtle shift, the cut so clean that the structure did not instantly fall as the flowers did. Instead, it takes a moment, delaying the inevitable, until the building’s own weight causes it to slide. The falling section of the massive Manor gains momentum as its foundations fall apart. The roof and ceiling and entire upper floors begin to crumble, threatening to cave in upon the Vizard Yasu, and swallow both Arashi and Tenzen should they not have the instincts to leap away.
In a single moment, the battlefield has been cleared of distractions. Flowers stems and petals coat the surface of Yugure’s Bankai. The upper half of the Manor exposes the entirety of its contents. To put it frank. There is nothing for the Hollows to use to conceal themselves, to cower behind, to slither under. No, they are exposed, utterly and completely.
Commander Murasaki of course knew each of their locations already. The moment he entered the Barrier he could sense the location of the three Hollow threats immediately, pinpointing every follicle of spiritual energy on their being. What’s more, he was able to follow the traces of their unique energy signatures, and recreate a visual of every action that transpired here within the Kuchiki Manor.
He traces Shirogane all the way back from the slaughter of the Kuchiki elders to the much deserved death at the hands of Captain Oda. He witnesses Tenzen’s first outing as Captain, his nervousness, his jump to defend the Pot, his rebalancing of his emotions, he follows Tenzen all the way through his Hollowfication, to his sudden attack against Arashi. The presence of Arashi Suta is unexpected, but inconsequential.Yasu Yugure’s subsequent arrival, arrest, and overall involvement had been considered likely, but deemed insignificant to Commander’s plan should it occur.
Shobatsu finally takes a step. Casually, he walks to the center of the courtyard, the most exposed and visual location within the entire Barrier. With each step he takes, his ring of flame follows him, allowing him to carve harmlessly through the three feet of Ooze that still covers the Barrier floor. As he walks, the Pot underneath his arm begins to inhale, functioning as a vacuum of sorts, it begins absorbing the spiritual pressure in the air. With each passing moment, the atmosphere within the Barrier grows cleaner and cleaner, the Pot functioning to purify the air, of any dormant Hollow energy. Though this process seems to take awhile, making it clear that the Barrier will not be coming down anytime soon, and especially not with the threat of three powerful Hollows.
Arriving in the courtyard, Shobatsu places the Pot upon the ground, leaving it to its own devices so that it may continue filtering the air. By now, the Hollowified Shinigami have likely escaped from beneath the rubble of the Kuchiki Manor. Free to attack, these mindless drones, only fueled by the need to satisfy their hunger, require something to focus their attention on.
Shobatsu obliges them.

Releasing a concentrated burst of his Reiatsu, the Commander erects a pillar of pure purifying energy. A beacon of purple and black light that is sure to capture their attention. The effects of this release of light are not unlike that of the Pot itself. The Vizards, for only the briefest of moments, find themselves incapable of moving, the air being ripped from their lungs. Shobatsu’s energy spikes, crashing against the ceiling of the Barrier, it too begins to flood the confines, raining purple flame down upon the Kuchiki Manor.
Outside, the Priestesses’ bodies would burn, each of them seemingly catching a fever just to maintain the Barrier’s integrity against such a force. However, just as their bodies are about to cave, just as the Barrier is about to crack, Shobatsu ceases his release. The dominating and blinding light ends instantaneously. The result of such a release burning away any ooze within the vicinity, completely clearing the entirety of the courtyard for the Vizards to safely land.
Court is officially in session, Commander Murasaki the acting Judge, Jury, and Executioner.
The trial of their fates has begun.
The time has come, to cast judgement.

He could hear flesh and bone ripping and separating from itself, just barely over the intensely high vibrations created from his Kido blast. He could hear screams of lightning pass easily through her shoulder as water passed through toilet paper, seamless. Almost as easily exiting her body as it entered. He however wasn't pleased with himself, the unnecessary violence he was forced to enact upon what is supposed to be his own brethren. He however was given little choice in the matter, and had no sympathy for disobeying Shinigami. As the Kido bored through her she however could not be rocked, sending little stagger in her wild movement, she quickly turned around to face Shusuke and attempt to remove his hand from his right arm. Upon making impact with his previous attack, he begins to shift his stance, sliding his left foot towards his right side, allowing for the motion to completely retract his arm and hand and save his hand from being severed and at the same time, dodging the attack by simply side stepping it and by using his new found position, he uses his zanpakuto to force her blade from her hands seeing as how she cannot use her full grip to hold it steady. If the blade would be found relinquished from her grip he would then quickly withdraw his second zanpakuto from its scabbard and hold it to the throat of Oyama but would not slice her skin, just hold it there to let her know that she was done and her efforts from here on would be futile.
All the while, he kept his purple gaze on her, cold and calculated like a snake scaring the life from its prey before feasting on it whole. Face emotionless, muscles tense but ready to act in any possible way that he may require. Holding the grip on his zanpakuto hard, he hoped she would see that her actions are insignificant and that she cannot delay the inevitable. Her arrest.
"You're continued actions against you're detainment have been met with opposition yet you still wish to delay your fate. Do not oppose me any longer. You're arms are far too short to box with the law."
He spoke calmly, and assured her that the next place she ends up will be the Maggots Nest. He was ready to exact more law man's justice just as he caught a glimpse of something he had never before seen. But only heard about a couple months prior, it immediately shook his core to witness it first hand…

The Captain-Commander. Clad in his flowing White Haori, pale purple orbs peered and intent on the barrier before him and BEFORE him, was the Phantom, Captain Kyomu Mukuro. Both legendary men in their own right and respective talents. Kyomu, the One Who Wore Death. His appearance here, perplexing to say the least as it was in this very fashion he invaded the 1st Divisions Barracks to carry out his dastardly plans. His former superior, although he doubted Kyomu had knowledge of him. Shusuke saw the 6ths Courtyard being swarmed in members of the Onimitsukido, dressed in all black and ready for a battle. What was going on? Was this another plot set up by the 2nd Division? No...Shobatsu was here. He would lay waste to anyone who opposed his will, even the Phantom Walker. Shusuke was now at a crossroads, seeing his Commander-in-Chief with the same artifact that had previously gone into the Kuchiki manor raised many questions to Shusuke as to what truly went on within that barrier in the span of time that it had gone up. Nonetheless, his suspicions that he bore would soon be laid to rest, the Commander would soon handle everything that follows.
"It would seem that our fearless leader has taken it upon himself to see to this situation first hand. I would suggest that you stay steady where you stand, Shinigami. You might find yourself in a shittier predicament than before."
He said, upholding his tone from before. He truly wondered what the presence of Shobatsu would bring, almost as immediately as he had come he vanished once more. Shusuke blinked and his body was gone, leaving the Phantom alone probably shook from either fear or shock that the Head-Captain made an appearance and stopped him in his direct tracks. After taking his leave from the courtyard, Shusuke resumes his entire focus on his quarry. Giving Oyama his full gaze he awaited for her to stand down and verbally surrender herself to the Sleeping Vigilante. He still held his blade to her throat, making her think twice about making a violent action.
