Lieutenant Fuyuko had been spending her free time, as she almost always did, pouring over all the latest Hollow data that came from the Shinigami Research and Development Institute. Fuyuko often came to the Twelth Division’s facility, hoping to further her own knowledge over time, in order to prepare her and her division for anything they might encounter in the World of the Living. That was, until she was alerted of a peculiar hollow her very own Division had brought in. Rushing to get caught up on the details, Fuyuko was hardly surprised to discover that this creature had been slain by the Captain himself. It was brought there on Captain Kagayaki’s express orders, and was rushed immediately into the Bio-Organics Lab for dissection. Fuyuko took it upon herself to oversee the procedure with her own eyes, and gather her own copies of the research data when it was done. Scanning over their results, she left in a huff to immediately inform the Captain of her findings.
Instead, Fuyuko would be the one that was informed. She came to an immediate stop, as a small black Jigokuchō gently descended upon the very tip of her nose. Her lavender eyes went cross, as they focused on the black butterfly. Then with a *woosh* the butterfly unfurled its wings, flexing them to the maximum width of their span. Fuyuko’s eyes went wide, as the Jigokuchō’s spell took effect. Her Captain’s message flashed through her mind's eye, catching her up to the events in an instant. What had he been thinking? First, he allowed himself, a Captain level Shinigami, to enter and engage an opposing hollow. A hollow, whose power was great enough to warrant an in depth investigation into its abilities. Rather than assemble the members of his Division, or alert the Thirteenth to do the same, he decided to allow a Third Seat Shinigami to go at it alone!
Fuyuko scoffed under her breath. Captain Kagayaki meant well, but he could be so thick headed! The Lieutenant was almost always at the Captain’s side, yet the one time she had a moment to herself, she gets called back for a mission. Not that she was complaining, it was simply that Fuyuko was disappointed in herself for not being there when she was needed. There was no time to waste, if the Hollow encountered in Karakura was anything like the one she just studied, then a Shinigami’s life was on the line.
meko-res-1.png

As the Hell Butterfly scuttered away from her nose, and landed gently onto her shoulder, Fuyuko realized she had been clutching her Zanpakuto in front of her subconsciously. Was she nervous? No it couldn’t be. She was determined. It was up to her to rescue Arashi. She gripped her Zanpkauto’s hilt, and leapt onto an adjacent rooftop. Using shunpo, she skipped and hopped from wall to rooftop, using the complex and cluttered architecture of the Seiretei to give her better access to the Tenth Division.
However, her mad dash was quickly cut short. Startled by the various Onmitsukidō approaching her division, Fuyuko comes to a skidding stop, sliding down to hide behind the roof tiles of an adjacent building. Peering over the roof, she watches the scene unfold. Captain Kagayaki was there! Perhaps she could get a message to him, but he seemed tense. Something wasn’t right, what was Captain Kojima doing here? What was the Second division up to? She wasn't going to be able to enter her own barracks at this rate, let alone make it to the Senkaimon. Contacting Higen was out of the question, she’d need to wait for an opening.
She wasn’t expecting to get one so quick.
Vines, of their own will, sprung up from the earth and entangled the agents. The moment they were occupied, Fuyuko took her chance. She leaped across the rooftops of her own barracks, one mighty flash step, which launched her through the air. She soared above the heads of the two Captains, Above the multitudes of entrapped Second Division Agents. However she couldn’t be bothered with them now, she had a task to complete. She looked towards the Senkaimon, her expression locked in serious determination. Then she flies through its gates and disappears into its wall of light, plummeting towards her destination.

====> Coming from North East Seretei ====>
In a smear of saturated color, Jinnosuke would form near both Captains as he ended his high speed traveling. " What'd i miss?" He would roughly say as he fixed his clothing to be well done and formal looking. The ringing of his earrings chiming with each movement. With these chimes he would then take a quick breath, then take his hands and swiftly, he would jerk his head one way then the other. The motion was followed by several loud crunching pops and cracks. He then took a cigarette and his match box out and then looked at the Captains suspiciously. " You two involved in these shenanigans? heh. " He would motion his freshly popped neck towards the bodies of the Stealth troops. The nbiting the cigarette from his right hand he would take and light a match all on his left hand in a singular motion, taking the box open with two fingers, then flicking it around and striking it all in a single well practiced motion of someone who has smoked for hundreds of years. Lighting the cigarette Jinno took a long deep drag and then shrugged off his right arms cloth brace. Smiling wide to show of his new gold tooth. "Lost this bad boy fighting some Kuchiki kid this morning. He was alright, coulda done a little better though." He said through gritted teeth as smoke bellowed from his nose and the corners of his mouth.

Maho had been mostly oblivious, the burning herbs he was inhaling inebriated his mind and allowed a wave of relaxation to wash over him. Being the level the second division minions were at, he had completely missed their arrival, more focused on what he had to say rather than what was going on around him. It was not until Higen flexed his own reiatsu, that his attention was brought to the minor presences that had gathered around the perimiter of the barracks the two resided. Tension oozed in the air, as everyone around got the collective feeling that, "Something just wasn't right."
When Higen approached in Exit, Maho decided to follow, just a few steps behind.
Now tell me…
What is the meaning of this?

Meho would allow Higen to speak. He wasn't one for asking questions to anyone beneath him as far as rank and skill was concerned unless of course, they left a good impression on him. In his eyes, the division two minions who seemed to be following some strange orders were faceless, nameless drones. Fodder for the heap. He would just as quickly knocked them all out in an instant had it not been for the sudden emergence of highly aggressive foliage which sprouted from below, encasing Kyomu's lackies in a prison of vines.
He would take a deep inhale of smoke and release.
'Well... ain't that amusing. And here I was thinkin' I was gon' have to get my hands dirty."
He grabbed the cigar from his lips and waved it in a circle, trying to get the burning tip to even out, smoke trailing behind it to create a small circle that would linger for just a moment, before dissipating into the air.
"Ima guess you know something about these things plants huh? He questioned his fellow captain, now standing beside him.
If he had to guess, they belonged to someone strong in the Soul Society, though he could not say for certain. It had to have been someone from the first division. He had just remembered that he had been on that side just a little while ago. It was then that a familiar presence suddenly appeared before them both. Locs of gray cut into a mohawk of sorts, with brown skin riddled with scars. He recognized that it was Jinnosuke Ueru from the Eleventh division after giving him a once over. He was one such shinigami, who may not have had the rank just yet, but had enough strength to catch Maho's eye. They had had a number of interactions of the last few years, though this time felt particularly out of place given the circumstances.
" What'd i miss?"
There was a pause, Maho took the time to twirl his cigar between his fingertips, before placing it back between his lips.
"Nothing we can clearly explain."
He observed the newcomer reveal a cigarette and place it between his lips, something that made him recoil mentally. He smoked, this was true, but he detested cigarettes specifically. However given the current events, he wouldn't allow it to shake him too much.
" You two involved in these shenanigans? heh. "
"Noooot exactly. We could very well ask you the same thing.."

"Lost this bad boy fighting some Kuchiki kid this morning. He was alright, coulda done a little better though."
As off topic as that was, he would give it a quick reply, though making sure to keep the focus on what had transpired.
"Yeah, I had every intention of training today too. Sadly it looks like I might have to put those plans on hold. 'Something' is going down. Now that I notice it, I sense several large clusters of spirit energy coming from the central district. I may just have to do my job today.."
his demonor was calm, but one could hear that he was serious about he was saying. He took a number of slow breaths, allowing small bits of smoke to enter and exit his lungs as he did so, awaiting any input from Higen on what was transpiring. As his elder, he was more than willing to take the old mans input into consideration into what they should do next.

For a single second, just a brief moment, he could notice confusion amongst the members of the stealth force. It was as if his questions were their own, but Higen could only come to respect their loyalty. Before they got the chance to confirm Higen’s suspicions, violent vines and plant-life sprouted outward and contained them indefinitely. The brief, somewhat tense nature he exhibited before faded away, but this had only added to his questions. More importantly, a blip appeared overheard, moving in a blur. Lieutenant Kasumi. He’d understood why she couldn’t stop, and why they hadn’t needed to exchange words, but he was hopeful for her return. She was always there to clean up his irresponsible mistakes. His lack of patience caused him to send Arashi, someone lacking experience, to deal with a threat that could be on par with the one Higen was forced to face himself. If all went well, they’d both return safely, or at the very least, alive.
'Well... ain't that amusing. And here I was thinkin' I was gon' have to get my hands dirty."
…Ima guess you know something about these things plants huh?

Maho’s words clearly had an effect on Higen that took shape on his expression. There was both frustration and confusion, the little knowledge he did have on the matter made this series of events even more befuddling.
I’m afraid I do.. and the fact that they’re being used, even all the way out here.. It’s not a good sign.
He was familiar enough with Lieutenant Oki to understand the dangers of her zanpakuto, as well as the stipulations for its usage. For her of all people to be in the mix, things must be pretty bad. A man he wasn’t familiar with appeared close to the pair of Captains, though per Maho’s body language Higen could surmise he’d known him to some degree. In the midst of their casual banter Higen had somewhat drowned them out, paying attention only to his thoughts, important ones at that. Was Captain Murkuro behind some sort of Coup’? At the tail end of their conversation Higen was brought back to the present, Maho’s words piquing interest.
Yeah, I had every intention of training today too. Sadly it looks like I might have to put those plans on hold. 'Something' is going down. Now that I notice it, I sense several large clusters of spirit energy coming from the central district. I may just have to do my job today.."
Forget the Central Seireitei.. Anyone there is more than capable of dealing with far more than most of us combined. With that in mind.. we are here in Tenth and it’s secure. And you, young man. You’d said you have come from Sixth? So they’re secure too? We need to split up and ensure the safety of the remaining divisions. Maho.. I’m sure you have some precedent in securing your own, so head to the Northeast District. I’ll visit the Northwest district and eventually we will circle back to the Southeast and Central districts only upon confirmation that the others are secure. Stay on guard, the both of you.
And just like that he’d vanished from view, a small whirlwind of dust and leaves were all that remained in his former location. There were a million things going on at once, and they needed to get to the bottom of it.

Many eyes focused from inside this dark interior where the only light visible was the center of this room. Lacking the ability to see these individuals but you can see their silhouettes, outline of their shadow forms. A single being stood under the light hovering the center floor. Who is the individual? According to the features upon him is an individual with four kenseikan braided into his hair. Nothing else needs it to be said. For that particular accessory the being wears, alone is enough to identify the individual in question. The male bore the appearance of a pale middle-aged man with a broad and muscular figure and a calm outlook. He had thick facial hair, sharp facial features, and an unusual cross-shaped scar on the right side of his face. His hair was a deep black and was rather bushy. It was usually kept up by the wind and had no fringe. His attire was that of a standard shinigami. Long black sleeve shihakusho with a blue obi sash wrapped around the waist. With matching black hakama pants. He was none other than Shirogane Kuchiki or as the moniker that has bestowed upon him as "The Fallen Kuchiki; 倒れた朽木." a new name to identify him. But what does it entails? Where has he fallen from to be called that?
"You dare step foot into the Kuchiki Manor asking us to keep your kenseikans!? We have given you the chance to honor the Kuchiki clan and since you failed your Captain exam years ago. We allowed you to remain with the kenseikans all this time in hopes the Gotei 13 would have made you Captain by now. However, we require a Head of the clan to come forth. Unfortunately, the council and I have come to remove you of you're kenseikan."
Elderly male stated while Shirogane was standing in the center light in shame. Head was straight, but both eyes closed shut. Not to hide how he felt from those glaring eyes of disappointment but closing eyes because he did not wish to look his mother in the eye who was among the crowd — hearing that his kenseikan shall be taken from him. It hurt his pride more than anything. He felt less than nothing. One council member from the crowd stepped forth towards Shirogane. Proceed it with removing the kenseikan from the braided hair — all but one. This mere action confuses Shirogane as to why only leaving one?
"We shall only leave you kenseikan though you may be a disgrace to the clan. You are still a Kuchiki, a fallen one to boot. You are at this moment stripped away any high privileges and will remain but a lowly Kuchiki unless you can prove otherwise in the future. Now Shirogane remove your scarf."
Shirogane begin removing the pure white scarf that was the indication of who was head of the clan. Just a slight tug on one end of the veil where it unraveled itself from the neck. Shirogane held the one ending in his hand, feeling like a naked woman performing the walk of shame while being stoned in the process. Shirogane stripped of everything that he held dear to him. What made him the person he is today. Mentally he couldn't fathom the thought of handling such embarrassing motion. All those years and centuries training, being molded into being the perfect being. Only to succumb to a mere peasant of the Kuchiki clan, to where he doesn't even matter, where his life is of no importance to them.
"The very scarf you hold in your hand now. That valuable scarf shall pass over to your son, Yosuke Kuchiki. He will be the next Head of the Family as the council has decided. He will also be present with a wife at a later date. In the meantime, we must figure out what to do with the Shihoin clan, now that you aren't Head of the Kuchiki any longer. But understand this, you are fortunate to hold one kenseikan. Misaki has pleaded with the council to leave you with at least one. I hope you grasp the level of disgrace you place upon the Kuchiki clan. And if you by any means do anything else. You will, as a result of this, be exile from the house of Kuchiki. Do you comply with the arrangement?"
He didn't speak right away while processing everything that has verbally passed over to him. These arrangements and changes are just as shameful as losing not only his scarf but the kenseikan. With having been left with one as a saving grave to stay in their clan, it was clear they wanted him exiled, gone, forgotten he even existed.
"Yes. I comply."
The tone in his voice was rather bleak and unsatisfied with the recent event. He couldn't help sense something through the layers of the thick royal walls of the Manor. Something or rather someone has been outside surrounding the division. They were very silent to the highest level of degree possible. Sensing them would pose a tough challenge for those who can't detect them besides reiatsu and sight. Unfortunately, the oxygen could hear from Shirogane heighten senses, even though the impenetrable walls of the Kuchiki Manor are thick to the highest degree. He knew they were there. But what was the purpose? He felt spiritual power ensuing around the Gotei, but the source tracks back towards Division 1. Who was this power belonging to have their ability to reach this far?
The first thing that came to mind was something was going on, but the level of threat is undetermined. However, anyone or anything that poses any danger to the Seireitei is an enemy regardless. Shirogane needs to excuse himself since it seems this humiliation is now over. For it seems there were other matters to attend too. At this point, he didn't care about the council, or vice versa had he did leave at this time — a simple turn to have the back face the leader of the committee.
"If you excuse me, I have other matters to attend too."
The tone in his voice says it all, but no one said anything, that is when Shirogane proceeded to leave the room. The large door had opened up, the sound of the hinges creaking from the weight of the doors opening. He did not rush to leave the Kuchiki estate. There were a hand full of people out there who could handle themselves. Unfortunately, he did need to locate his offspring in case he was in danger. He could feel his presence from this distance by concentrating on his spiritual signature only. The bright light at the end of this given pathway of the Manor was now visible. The sound of his steps filled the entire hallway.
"Clap. Clap."
The only sound present that echoed through the depths of this corridor where his long hair waved and bounced as he walked. He made it to the end where Shirogane was now outside. He came to a series of steps and walked every single one until he got to the bottom. Both eyes closed shut while taking these slow strides. Leaving out of the estate made him felt utterly new. As if the same man that walked in his home came out a boy. Shred of his dignity, pride as well as everything else. He is born anew but not in the right way. Stripped of the previous identity and been given a new status within the clan. A condition that will now view among other Kuchiki members as a "nobody" or rather "The Fallen Kuchiki". When headed towards the exit of division 6, all he saw was thick green vines swaddling these small-time soldiers. They didn't act out of their own will but the will of their Captain. At least that's what Shirogane would expect, considering if the stealth force acted out on their own accord. It then shows that the Captain does not have a stern authority over his squad members. The third seat of squad six is aware of their muffle voices, gasping for air underneath all those vines.
He was deciphering the sound of the vines tightening around their bodies. As if the vines themselves were a massive fist squeezing onto a human being. The first thing that came to his mind was that he wouldn't want to face the person that control these vines. Silently he walk off after witnessing such a sight. The priority was locating Yosuke. Which he picked up on his presence that is Yosuke was within the barracks of Division 4. The question is, why? Once he discovers the reason his offspring was within division four, he would move on to something else. Which the next priority would be to investigate the occurrence. As division 6 it was his duty, Captain or not to conduct an inquiry into why this took place. Was it a takeover? To cull the herd to take out the weaklings? Was it some test to see what responses take place? A lot of questions but the only answers reside within division one it seems. Before heading to the destination, a group of members of the same squad ran up to him.
"3rd Seat Shirogane Kuchiki. It seems reports are going around about the Onmitsukido guarding every division. Before the vines took them over, that is. Anything we should be doing?"
He only turns halfway, leaving the right shoulder to face their direction without so as looking in their general path.
"Nothing. You do nothing."
If they need to come to him about how to do their job, then what's the point? Shirogane wasn't looking to hold their hands. He shouldn't have too. Division 6 pride themselves in patrolling the Seireitei. They need to be doing something, that much is clear. But if they need to ask a higher rank for a simple answer. Then obviously their place in this division is misplaced or just too ignorant to know just what to do. After saying what they said, the small group of 4 stood there dumbfounded and confused. In the meantime, Shirogane went along his business as planned.
