""Thought I step in, to check on a comrade. I hope I haven't interrupted."
The Head of the Kuchiki listens to Arashi's excuse of being here; it is as though he didn't have a set destination or a specific reason. To which, typically someone is coming to check on them, to see if the person's health and duty are in order. Shirogane could assure that he was as better than he had been. However, for someone to come all this way must be lost or clueless as to what to do. Far more things than to be checking on comrades, though they are both within the same ranking in their squad, also being in the same situation in having no captain to give the order. Gotei 13 has been far too lax in choosing the right candidates to pick up the slack in every captainless division. Whats to come soon probably worked for the best, even more so made it less challenging to deal with anyway. Shirogane could still see that a member of his squad was still lingering around in a kneeling position. Taking notice, Shirogane began to wonder, what else did he need it to say that he could of report before?
Yes? What is it?"
Calm, definitive tone in his words that make seated soul reapers in his division, fear him. They are even more nervous now since they also recognized his nobility rank as Head of the Clan, so you could expect them to be by the books and to listen to his orders since he is the highest-ranking officer in division 6. For his word in this division is law, and they shall follow him as if Shirogane is the Captain of squad 6. The seated member lifts his head to stare into Shirogane eyes.
"Sir, we also received word from patrol 3 and 5, in the 4th squadron, section 3. The movement from division four and Division 1 are making a move. They should be arriving shortly. Also, the items you request from Division 12 had retrieved by the hands of your Royal guards."
Shirogane, Head of the Kuchiki, received the report from a fellow member, but little did he know that they were already here. The sound of marching had been upon them, and the news was a bit short on delivery, an error that shall be corrected later when it is all said and done. The Kuchiki did not look in the member's direction, let alone even acknowledge his report nor the failure to deliver the message ahead of time to prepare for such an occasion properly. Nevertheless, Arashi's unexpected visit also played some hand in being behind. It is no big deal he had plans for the 3rd seated member of Division 13; the hands that have been dealt with is now in place.
"I do hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Have not seen much of you in the pass three months. Then again, we have both been busy and hard at work to maintain our Squads. I should brought some tea, hmmm."
Shirogane didn't speak or share words right at that moment; the lack of proper English from Arashi is quite disturbing. Too disturbing for him to correct this jibberish, he speaks. His eyes closed for a brief moment trying not to lose focus and let him past, but "I should brought some tea" the correct sentence would be "should have." Such broken language bothered him profoundly; all he wants to do is leave it at that. Arashi mentioned that it had been three months since he saw him; it isn't typical for soul reapers to not see other squad members for quite some time. Anyone be lucky enough to see another division member for a year or longer, depending on the duties or missions that are passed down to a specific group of individuals to carry out. So for him to say that only means he was a lost puppy, confused about what it is he should be doing next. A man with no vision is a man without a future. A man without a future will always return to his past. Preception is the bridge between the present and the future. Without it, everyone perish or go "unrestrained," vision gives pain a purpose. Those without vision spend their lives taking the path of least resistance as they try to avoid discomfort. The level of sacrifice that an idea requires will determine the size of people who follow. Sacrifice and obedience separate the small from the great. Furthermore, Shirogane shall correct this miscue, that is Arashi and show this lost soul the correct way, he has to be willing, give him something to believe.
"Three months?"
His mind immediately step into the past three months ago, going to a particular moment of that time as to what he was doing then.

Some time ago.....
9883f2ce7bad13c5ecf4020f4c7c2dee.png

The field was so vibrant as the sound of metal ringing and clashing, sparks flying with each encounter. Two equal individuals fighting with such intensity that neither of them show that either would waver. Each combatant is swinging in similar motions, exchanging back and forth in this bleak environment with only a few rocky like terrain among them. This fight had been fierce as the two has gone at it, the two would move from average pace to a faster speed but utilizing the move; flash step. Now it was more of a blur, striking as they come out, then exiting back into their rapid movements. This exchange has been going on for a good while until. The last strike causes both swordsmen to skid across the rugged surface, opposite from one another. Both were staring each other down, an unwavering determination expression among their faces, even though the two contenders show signs of fatigue. Neither doesn't seem to give up. It wasn't within their bones or in their DNA to give up; each encounter they both transferred to one another was an intent to kill. These two individuals stood across from one another with identical characteristics, kenseikans, swords, clothing, features. Everything about these two individuals yelled twin power. However, despite their similarities, some features are worn differently than their other. Kenseikans, for example, is worn on the right side one of the individual, while the other wore on the left. Once gathering what energy they had, the right braided kenseikan began to summon a mirror near his body, which he uttered the words.
Rikugun (陸軍; Army of One)
The moment those words had been recited into existence, his body multiplied to several copies of himself. It was then three bodies stretched and appeared on one side of the creator, while three more appeared on the opposite side. Now there were seven total, which ended up surrounding the other identical individuals, Shirogane. Standing in the center of it all, knowing that there was no point in trying to locate the original creator for each copy, seems to have a similar power to that of the creator. In knowing this, the only way was to strike, counter, repeat. One by one, they all came just a second or two after one another. They are trying to land a strike on their target, which there have been moments where the left kenseikan wearer was successful in countering and defending. By using every skill in his arsenal, including his sixth sense to sharpen his talent to the highest degree possible. To have the ability to read each movement, strikes, timing when to attack, counter, and dodge. He was successful, but then he started to stagger due to fatigue, which caused an attack to land across the back. Then a few more attacks that landed upon the front of his torso. These wounds he suffered from caused him to fall to a knee, using his sword as leverage. A counterweight to prevent him from falling face-first into the dirt. The copies all seem to cease any further actions, and they all disappeared, leaving only one.
"I would assume we can continue later?"
He asked the kneeling Shirogane which he did not answer, but the left hand stretched outwards, which the version before him turn into spiritual particles and transform to its original state. That state happens to be the other missing zanpakuto. Weeks passed since then, and he remained training in isolation, where eventually, his shikai grew stronger. Even building up a stronger relationship with Jibun no hansha within the inner world, learning the new ability, Rikugun (陸軍; Army of One). Even after training his shikai, he had to move on to training the mind and body in which he did by gathering up all the research that was needed and remain hidden away, occasionally stepping into the central library for important information. When getting away from reading, he would go into the depths of his manor, a particular architecture that was built underneath the mansion, covered in moat — a familiar structure of Nest of Maggots, which works in the same concept as well. This basement had several large rooms that were to keep and hold members of the house locked away for treason and other actions that go against the house of Kuchiki. He would enter such a place due to being more quiet, peaceful, a place where he could not be disturbed by any trivial matters. Spend time and time again meditating, working out in one of those rooms, exercising the mind and the body. A routine that is often seen as merely a warm-up that serves to gradually increase the heart rate in preparation for the stricter junctures of a training session, but in reality, shadow boxing, as many call it. For any tireless fighter, shadow boxing plays many essential roles during training. Unbeknownst to many, it does have its unique benefits. While practicing moves alone in front of a mirror doesn't sound like it's going to help anyone improve their skills as a fighter, there are many advantages to shadow boxing that aren't immediately apparent. Being able to visualize facing an imaginary opponent is a massive part of shadow boxing and is very important when learning how to fight. Furthermore, it is also essential to imagine different facing types of opponents — from aggressive opponents to counter-punchers, to defensive fighters.
If one has spent enough time shadow boxing, they will have faced every style of opponent there is. This way will give you a competitive advantage no matter who you meet. At least the idea behind it, but for Shirogane, himself, it works most, it was the reason he spent weeks fighting himself in shikai. Replaying the moves his copy makes, how well he reacts and acts to specific steps and strikes. Facing himself helped him see a lot of vulnerable areas within attacking, countering, and dodging and making himself the enemy and how he would go about defending those attacks — Times where he would imagine fighting Captain Kojima from his captain exam.
Furthermore, though Shirogane was an exceptional fighter, he wasn't here focused on mastering the art of hand to hand. Instead, practicing moves of disarming without the use of kido since the room among other rooms was made to prevent any use of spiritual powers of any kind. Hence why he is here, training his body only, reaction time, footwork, strengthening his sixth sense range without relying on just sensing spiritually. And though there is a limit to what can be improved in that skill, every little bit can make a big difference in the future. The end of this three-month journey ended when standing before Central 46. After studying the Aku Hachi Hakkō (悪の鉢発酵, Bowl of Evil Fermentation; Viz. "Festering Pot of Evil") which he was appealing to their better judgment to have the pot brought to his barracks.

Those three long months of striving to be stronger, planning has brought him one step closer to his goals. The only good news is that the items he got would be useful in the next step if things were to go accordingly. So everything has been going smoothly thus far. Within view, he saw this glorious parade marching towards his direction; other members of this division would be full-on curious as to what was going on. Since Shirogane didn't share any specific details, only to make them aware of their arrival and then they have finally arrived. There was more than what Shirogane anticipated to arrived, all in unison like a true military division should be, PERFECTION. The Head of the Kuchiki house had been pleased that Central 46 intrusted him to dispose of this problem. Thankfully, this scarf that signify his crown to the house got their attention, he would have properly gotten dress into his royal clothing, but such theatrics weren't probably needed it.
Soon they split into two rows with space in the middle for someone or something to come through, the pot. But it was suddenly concealed with the bodies of the men, clad in white. They were from Division 1, one member in white stepped out in front out of nowhere to address Shirogane with some words.
4d05497b41f84a25331d8ee21f391f63.png

"Third Seat Shirogane Kuchiki. By wearing that scarf, you designate yourself as Head of the Kuchiki Clan. With no one to verify this claim, we have no choice but to divulge our intent to you. By request on behalf of your clan and the Central Forty Six, the First Division has come barring the Aku Hachi Hakkō. In order to properly deliver the artifact, we must temporarily withdraw our agreement, and allow the First Division access into the Kuchiki Clan Compound."
9883f2ce7bad13c5ecf4020f4c7c2dee.png

Listening to the words, he had to say even though he paid attention to every detail of this particular individual. He gave no signs of anything, as if he was utterly masked with a cloak, a book that cannot be read by sight or sense. Could it be that Shobatsu is aware of Shirogane's skills in detecting? Or could it be that train his division to the utmost authority to carry out his duties in his name, a name that represents division 1? Maybe all the above? Shirogane particular didn't like this sudden change, made him feel uneasy, gotten him paranoid, thinking that it is Shobatsu way of wanting to have his men be his eyes and ears. A witness to the event, "see" what's to come, the festering pot that he guarded for so long. Shirogane didn't allow this messenger to get any reaction out of him, as if the Kuchiki was acting out in the same manner as him, being unreadable in his expression and body language. His eyes strained as if he was still trying to look for any openings of what reasons could be behind such a request of Head Captain. Things have become very political, and the agreement was to be put on hold, that was something he honestly did not expect that to happen.
"Very well. I will honor that request." Paused "However, while you have access to my compound, you being the division 1 advisor, I should not have to explain to you, and those you bring are responsible. Being inside, you should respect my home. If I find out you or any division 1 members are caught doing anything you shouldn't, you'll be asked to leave and escorted out. Resist, and I will have your life by right of the Kuchiki Clan's house. If we are in agreeme-"
Shirogane was interrupted by another figured, one he never had the opportunity to meet ever or even seen around the Seireitei. Surely being without a captain forced to be isolated all this time, only performing the necessary task. She had this purple color attire with a gold plated mask to hide their face. She, too, apparently had something to say as well.
"We have just received word that the activation of the Aku Hachi Hakkō is to be postponed by order of, and until the arrival of, the Chief of the Kido Corps, new Captain of the Fifth Division, Tenzen Oda. Who shall be overseeing this operation personally. I trust, as the one who claims to head the very clan requesting this excursion, that this will be of no issue to you."
Cheif? So the rumors of Division 5 gaining a new addition had been right, as caution, he wanted to wait for his arrival before going underway with the activation of the pot? This Captain can prove to be trouble if he is too cautious with his actions.
"And I trust, the one who speaks in a condescending tone of my title is not doing so purposely to be disrespectful? Let me make this clear for the both of you, I am the Head of my house and for that reason alone is why you are even here under the orders of Central 46. As long as you are within my compound, I highly suggest that you address me properly. Furthermore, I have no problem waiting until your Cheif arrives. The danger of this pot, once activated, it can prove to be dangerous. Therefore I shall request your Captain if you and the division 5 members present can place a barrier around the Kuchiki manor once we are inside. A precaution I like to take to prevent any complications during the proceedings." stares at Arashi "I like for you to join us Arashi, I would assume you are curious as to what is about to happen. As Head, you shall be my guest in this matter. I am sure no one here will say; otherwise, not that can say anything about it at this point. If not, you are free to let yourself out."
He said to them in a calm expression. Still, his tone alone could be taken as someone who isn't going to be bully by the likes of people who enter his barracks, flexing their authoritative muscles in his presence. While now, he will await this newly appointed Captain of squad 5, not knowing what type of person he would be dealing with. So he would have to tread very carefully. However, for Arashi to be openly invited by the like of Shirogane into his manor, just like that? They were close at all, hardly spoken with a few small talks here and there if they ever cross. So to Arashi, he is probably thinking or should be considering what reason for being invited to such a private matter, a matter that involves the likes of Division 1 and 5?

For a time such as this, or rather, a moment such as this is best spent with two cups of Tea in both hands. Yes! The sweet aroma of herbal beverages in his own original taste and combinations would surely ease the mood here. Maybe it is something he only felt himself, but even as stale as his excuses for coming to see a friend, he honestly felt that he had no reason to explain himself. Nobles never expected much from the lower class. Ashi surely filled this category and he wasn't alone in that regard. Still, he and Shriogane represented the same cause. Hopefully valued the same goals, the same principals to what it means to be a Soul Reaper. Such ideals were likely to never change...
Right?
Oh how his everyday smile will soon become something of the past. Unknowingly, Arashi relishes in it, as he always did. A member of Squad six remained, clearly having more information. Ashi's head turned away, his habit of drinking tea becoming apparent as a hand searched for an imaginary drink... Shirogane is expecting some things upon his own request. Things that are indeed none of his business. Rhythmic thumps, sounds of unification, given a physical body. The vibrations surely felt, and the entirety of Squad six is to be alerted.
THUMP, THUMP, THUMP, THUMP!
His statement being placed, but now Shirogane found one of his words to be more intriguing than the rest. Three months? Yes, three months, a time where both had spent their respective times doing whatever they needed to do to further progress. Whether that be their own squads or themselves respectfully. Before a response is given, the officials, grand in their presence approach as their attire and formation is noted by Ashi upon seeing them.
"The Kido Corps. A splendid display, but why are they here and in such great numbers."
His own questioning remained inaudible, but his interests are peeked nonetheless. Ashi begins to stand as they took their formation allowing for a group of four to traverse the aisle they have created. Obscuring the artifact from view, Ashi had only eyes for the individuals clothes in white. Instantly, the situation begins to grow all the more tense. Just what exactly is going on. His expression stayed, no indication of a nervous and fragile demeanor. Standing, he carried his Zanpakuto in his left hand. His right right relaxed at his side but now his eyes were opened slightly.
A fifth body in white emerges from out of no where. Squad One messengers were always arriving like that and just as quick to disappear when their duties have been completed. Swift and effortlessly, such is the way of Squad One in its simplicity. One spoke, addressing the man who now holds a title, even it wasn't so long ago that he did not. A question Arashi had bottled up inside, still, he did not dare to ask just yet. So much is happening before his very eyes. The Kido Corps. Squad One messengers. No to mention, a wooden basket he managed to catch a small glimpse of. Now begs the question...
What's in the box...?
The million dollar questions, but no sold answer to go off of yet and it is likely that neither him or anyone else that is indeed clueless to all of this will know. Understandably, his eyes trailed towards Shirogane who assumed his role quite well. So in those three months, he managed to ascend to the role of Head of the Kuchiki Clan. Ashi never understood the ways of the noble house, he is simply oblivious to the requirements and obligations of such a title. As he should, being the underdog and possibly lower than even the lower class most of his life before reaching the world of Soul Reapers.
Shirogane responded accordingly and it seemed his attitude and persona has not changed. It wouldn't be too much to be humble before such a group, even if one comes from a noble background. Entitled, that is likely how Shirogane feels, wearing a scarf and Kenseiken washed in blood of his comrades, his family, all unbeknownst to Arashi. With this lack of knowledge, he held a sense of excitement and wished to congratulate him, but his instincts told him other wise. This situation made it no better. The intensity only grows and now another face enters the boiling pot. A gold plated face, an individual he has never seen before.
Activation?!
Post-poned?!
Chief of the Kido Corps, Captain Tenzen Oda?!
320c9344778016bfe2769e2f79f27815.png

Just what the hell is really going on?! Before his place here grows incredibly dim and soon turn to nothing, Shirogane's response to the Squad One officials turned to Ashi. A request but also a choice, bestowed upon him. Such a sensitive and not only that, a private matter, it felt as though he is being unknowingly dragged into something that could be the start of something or the end of something. The weight of this situation, nearly suffocating. Matching, if not close to the weight of the ocean pressing down against him. A sweat dropping down the side of his face. The palm of his left hand likely sweating from excessive strength in his grip on Hoshizora. Curiosity is an understatement...
"The situation is obviously extremely serious. You will need all the help you can get. I accept your offer and will do all I can."
The option to walk away is whisked away. Buried, strangled, absorbed into the abyss. There wasn't any turning back now... Even now, his soul rumbles. Feelings tingling. Something just wasn't right... However, his duty as a Soul reaper is called upon once again, by the request of a mere associate. Someone he considered a friend. This is likely a chance to find out what is really going on. His smile returned... But is this the last time his smile will shine as bright as his light?

From one building to the next he leaped the air whistling past his ears, brushing his face and combing through his hair. On his shoulders a blue and gold Haori, with the Kido Corps insignia at each shoulder and at his back, flutters, and flaps in the air. It's been a while since he has been able to dash across rooftops like this, well, it's been three months to be exact. He did this very same thing, although at a much faster pace when racing to the Rukongai to help against the Kotosu. He still looks at his performance on that day in a negative light. But that wasn't the only event he was wrapped up in, no, he couldn't forget Second Division's attempted Coup. It was so surreal to have the barracks surrounded like they were on some sort of lockdown, confusion was at the forefront of everyone's minds except for Tenzen. Treachery, that is the one and only thing on his mind, the fact Second Division would commit treason against the Gotei 13 is something he couldn't put into words. Then, on that day, came a sensation that Tenzen hadn't felt since he was a child, the urge for violence. When the Captain Commander unleased his power most were met it head-on with fear, panic or submission, but Tenzen felt something else, something primal. His inner peace, his Buddhist nature, crumbled when he felt that power his old urge for violence returned but as that sealed itself away so did that primal urge.
Still leaping from building to building he almost wants to grin, he almost wants to feel that way again. Almost. Control and suppression are two different things. To suppress something one holds it at bay knowing that at any moment, at any time that whatever it is they are suppressing could be released once again. To control something means to hold that something at bay and understand that it is only going to be released when the holder wills it, no more, no less. Needless to say, Tenzen has control over such brittle and weak urges. This train of thought and reminiscing all came to him simply from leaping across rooftops and before he knew it Sixth Division was in sight. His Reiryoku is bottled up and he lands lightly in a tree, he isn't exactly a stealthy man, he'd never make it in Second Division but just this much would be enough to hide him for what he needs. He also happens to arrive exactly when he wanted to, at the same time as the Aku Hachi Hakkō.
First Division, a Division built up with Shinigami that represents what can only be called, The Standard. A Division of command and authority only further emphasized by their own Captain. With just a few of its members present, they exude an authority like an extension of the Captain Commander himself, Tenzen felt this all from just watching from the distant tree, he observed this military parade of sorts scanning the area for anyone who seemed nefarious or had ill intent, none were found. His eyes then fall upon Shiroganne Kuchiki, judging by his scarf he's the new head now? Since when? Surely the Kuchiki Clan would have made a big deal about the ascension of a new head, not only that but a new scarf as well? Why the change in color? The old scarf alone had enough value to purchase ten mansions within the Seiretei itself, Tenzen's paranoia wasn't settled in the slightest by this observation. There was something he missed though, the sudden appearance of a fifth messenger, how did he miss him? Irrelevant, he must be speaking with Kuchiki-san about something important pertaining to the Vessel. Kuchiki responds but it seems like he is cut off midsentence by the sudden arrival of the Priestess, she too spontaneously appeared without Tenzen noticing, sneaky bunch. That thought was almost enough to make Tenzen crack a smile considering he himself is being sneaky, Reiryoku fully suppressed and at a distance. Before he knew it the Priestess was finished speaking and Kuchiki had begun his response.
Tenzen's feet begin to shift on the branch, his bare feet sliding along it in preparation to put himself in the middle of this conversation, literally. The soles of his feet were quite weathered and tough, enough to the point that tree bark barely registers as a form of discomfort. If he was more of a striker then a kick from him would have a similar effect to sandpaper scraping off skin. Pressure is applied to the balls of his feet while he leans forward and flickers out of the tree only to appear between Kuchiki and the Priestess. His blue and gold Kido Corps Haori flutters from the sudden stop he makes out of his Shunpo, swaying to his right side before coming to a rested state. From Kuchiki's perspective, all he would hear is the hushed whispers of a male and female, Tenzen and the Priestess were exchanging words with each other. Tenzen requested a recap of everything the Kuchiki had said, verbatim as he did not want any sort of misunderstandings. Then he asked if his order to keep everyone away at spears length along with the order to subdue them if that is violated. Kuchiki's words were spoken back to him and his order had been passed around. The only thing Kuchiki or Arashi would hear from Tenzen is "You are dismissed." as he is turning to finally face Shirogane and Arashi. The Priestess had vanished just as she appeared, into thin air.
"Shirogane... Kuchiki... san..."
Tenzen stares at the noble with empty eyes, he stares at him to gauge his "Form" and wants to determine what sort of person he is. He strips away his nobility, his Shinigami traits as well and settles upon his "Form" and it is a form of Isolation. A man born into power who sets himself above and away from others, to describe it in a word, unreachable. This takes mere milliseconds for Tenzen to deduce as he looks over to Arashi, a Shinigami that he does not know at all aside for the fact that his brother Katsuo is in the same Division as him. There is no need to gauge his form, the expression on his face tells him enough. The Captain slides his hands into the sleeves of his Shihakushō his hands grabbing hold of the opposite forearm. He lets the tension fester a little to see what could come of it because as of right now he contemplates not even opening the Vessel. He knows if he makes this decision none of his words can save him from the Captain Commander, his word is law and absolute. Eyes focusing on the head of the Kuchiki Clan he speaks again.
"As you have already heard I am Tenzen Oda, Kido Chief and Captain of the Fifth Division. Kuchiki-san, your clan has requested the use of the Aku Hachi Hakkō to dispose of training Hollows. While I do not agree with this the Captain Commander has already made it clear on what must be done, his word is absolute. Given the delicate nature of the situation, as well as private, I must ask of you to send your friend home. This is not a show or entertainment, this is a very dangerous procedure that can go wrong at a moment's notice. I know you made yourself clear on this notion but I am asking again out of concern for the safety for your friend here."
Tenzen's gauging of Kuchiki's form came to the conclusion of him being unreachable. This wasn't a reference to power in any way, this man is unreachable in regards to those wanting to get close to him. There is no way Arashi is a close friend of such an isolated and unreachable man, one who sticks his nose up so high that he thinks he breathes the same air as the Soul King. But speaking of Arashi, the young man spoke quite excitedly about wanting to help the Kuchiki, it seems like this may be a one-way road of friendship. Tenzen was taking note of all of this, but without no reason to postpone the event any further, he decides to continue on with it.
"If your mind is made up then please lead the way Kuchiki-san. I shall follow on your flank while my Kido Corps follows on the flank of the Vessel."
Tenzen seems to have settled into his role as Captain rather quickly, in truth his own petty thoughts have just been silenced in favor of the more pressing concern that now follows behind him in the form of the Aku Hachi Hakkō and the other that he follows in the form of Shirogane Kuchiki.

“Kagome, kagome
Kago no Naka no tori wa
Itsu, itsu deyaru
Yoake no ban ni
Tsuru to kame ga subetta
Ushiro no shoumen dare?”

It was a child’s song, with interpretations as dark as the midnight sky. Yasu chanted the haunting tune as she ran along the top of the walls that bordered each division. The most innocent interpretation was guessing at who may have been behind you. And the darkest, teetering along the lines of who was behind your downfall.
Her footsteps were soundless, and if anyone may have been observing, she would continue to gaze in the gliding pink wonder. Her locks flail wildly against the grain as she nears the site of exchange between the Sixth and Fifth.
Coming to a stop halfway to the edge of the wall, Yasu had a bird’s eye view among the masses as she crawled the rest of the way to peer down at them. She’d missed a part of the exchange but managed to settle just in time for the arrival of a foreign entity garbed in purple.
"We have just received word that the activation of the Aku Hachi Hakkō is to be postponed by order of, and until the arrival of, the Chief of the Kido Corps, new Captain of the Fifth Division, Tenzen Oda. Who shall be overseeing this operation personally. I trust, as the one who claims to head the very clan requesting this excursion, that this will be of no issue to you.”
Ah, so the new Captain will be here soon, huh?
She pondered on intervention. The strength of those before her was somewhat overwhelming, especially with those from First. The elite shinigami that held the air of the Commander was stifling, and she grumbled on the memory of being hit with his power not once, but twice, and at such close range. Even being shielded by Honoka proved to do little against his prowess.
However, not only did the mention of the new captain pique her interest, it was the clarification on whether or not Shirogane indeed had been acknowledged as the Head of his Clan. He went on his tirade, monologuing as if he had nothing better to do than to spout his position, a position capable of being replaced in little time.
Her gaze shifted and found themselves on Arashi Suta, a stranger to the events before him. She could smell the uneasiness that oozed out of his person as he took in his surroundings and the activities before him. For Shirogane to suddenly invite an outsider to the premises, and during something so important… It was out of line and unnecessary. If he were the Head he claimed to be, even he would understand that involving third parties were out of the question on the matter that already included the First Division, the Central 46, and the Fifth Division.
“I can’t sit here for much longer.”
The rustling of leaves caught her attention, and she lifted her eyes to find a blond male, watching over the scene as she did. With his royal blue and gold coat and white haori beneath, it was safe to say that Captain Oda had finally arrived. He had an air around him, just as the captains of the other divisions had, and he wore his pride well upon his sudden new standing. He’d exchanged words with the High Priestess, and she vanished at his dismission.
"Shirogane... Kuchiki... san..." He started.
This Captain was sensible. She watched closely as he spoke, but his eyes were set on the man before him, gauging his person and expressions to the words spoken on the matter at hand. This Captain was observant. However, this close was coming far too quickly. Yasu would have to step in now.
“Well said, Go-Taichou!”
Her voice would break the silence, and cause the crowd to come alert if they didn’t notice her already. She made no intention to hide initially, but it would have been rude to just step in. Coming down from her perch, the Second Division’s Lieutenant would land down on the withered and weathered white tiles without a sound, her hood now covering her face as she knelt down in front of the newly appointed captain in greeting.
“My apologies for the intrusion, Captain Oda. I could sense that you’re hesitating, and you have a right to do so. I’m Lieutenant Yūgure, and I come on my own volition after gathering the necessary information to involve myself in the events of the Sixth Division, but I have reason to believe underhanded development has been executed by the self-proclaimed Head of the Clan.”
Rising to her feet, Yasu faced Arashi and offered a smile. Haunting and easing all the same.
“While I’m sure you and Kuchiki-san have the greatest of friendships, what Go-Taichou has said is true. Involving outsiders is an offense and a liability. It’s no longer a request, but an order at this point. While you may have been invited by the Head of the Household, I, as both of your superiors, along with a captain, will need you to vacate the premises and return to your barracks.”

Without another glance spared, the youngest lieutenant turned to the ever-brooding Shirogane Kuchiki, and peeled back her hood, just enough for him to see the condescending, cocky gaze she bestowed upon him. Those purple orbs of hers roamed, and she eyed the scarf that hung around his neck. What once was a tradition white worth millions of yen, was now dyed red. And the stench that lingered was nothing short of rustic metal.
“When I had heard of your sudden rise in ranks, I was sure that an announcement would be made. You Kuchiki are a proud clan after all. However, there was no announcement, nor appearances made by the head nor his clan members in just over a month. Someone as proud as you would be flaunting his newfound rank. Your wife and offspring would be more than excited to reveal that their husband and father became so revering. Yah, yah… Is this what it’s come to, Kuchiki-san? Was the path you took worth it? You couldn't bear to deal with the outcome of your actions, so you lash out at respected officials and drag in bystanders? I’d expect more grace when acting as the Head of a Clan, but...” She clicked her tongue and shook her head in mock disappointment. “...a failure will act in the wildest of ways to escape, after all.”
The distance between them wasn’t small, but Yasu hardly moved more than a foot from beside Tenzen. Meanwhile, Shirogane and Arashi would stand somewhere by the entrance to the compound. Her hands rested behind her back, toying around with the hilt of her blade as it peeked from beneath her obi.
“How does it feel to crumble from your false throne?”

Arashi's heart as been racing as the unknown started to unfold before him, not knowing what was going to happen or was about to occur. The sound of the loud thumps could be heard with Shirogane's impressive hearing, was it fear, nervousness, anticipation? Shirogane would only imagine what it was that Arashi could be thinking. What exactly is going on? Why is division 5 and division 1 is here in the barracks? What is in that box? Surely, Shirogane could sense such an uneasy sensation coming from Arashi about it all, despite that he still agreed to come. Curious would more likely describe Arashi, like most, people like Arashi typically size up and make assumptions as they listen to others. Interested people, on the other hand, have no hidden agenda. They seek only to understand the perspectives of others, and are willing to sit in ambiguity, open and curious without being invested in the outcome. Even some prefer to ask a lot of questions like "How?" "What?" "When?" "Where?" and "Why?" Arashi must be thinking the same thing mentally, its human nature to be curious. He could tell for he hasn't said a word but continue to watch. Not that him saying anything would change or have any weight to the exchange between the royal head and the subordinates of both Division 5 and 1.
Furthermore, the Captain finally graced his presence, appearing out of shunpo to the right of Shirogane's and Arashi's view and sporting the colors of a blue and gold haori that represents his division. It was good that he didn't make him repeat what has been said already said — having a last-minute discussion between them — not knowing precisely what in particular that the Captain and his assistant were discussing. Or so it would seem, but they were well within his range of hearing more than an average being just as he was already mindful of another person that enter his barracks before the Captain made a grand appearance, one who does not belong. It was only a matter of time before one of them perform their duties at snooping around. However, Shirogane made no attempts to reveal them or gave any signs that he noticed their presence without actually having to look in their direction. Without having to sense their hidden spiritual existence, hence the Captain's entry did not awake some reaction from Shirogane. He would have come across as unimpressed and dissatisfied, no reason in particular. However, once he, Captain Oda, was done trying to keep the conversation private with his member, he finally decides to turn around to face Shirogane and Arashi with only announcing "You're dismissed."
It seems they were done here finally, and the request of the kido barrier has been given. The priestess vanished, just as fast as she appeared. Nevertheless, this entire barracks had been under the eyes of Shirogane's broad spectrum of the field. There wasn't anything or anyone that could bypass this view, as long they been within these walls.
"Shirogane... Kuchiki... san..."
Was all that the Captain stated for a greeting, no apology for keeping him waiting not only for the fact we all waited for him, even though it wasn't for long. But he didn't apologize for having a small conversation with his associate. None of that bothered him, just his lack of manners. He was willing to give this one a chance to reconcile to show what a nobleman acts like, but even as Captain, he failed. He expected too much from someone that belongs to the Oda house. No expression of how displeased Shirogane surely was. It has come to his belief that he was yet another mongrel of the ill-mannered individuals that felt they had some close relationship to call him by his full name. Bit by bit, his personal opinion of the Captain was growing more by the second. Not even Shirogane replied quickly to greet the Captain as he closed both eyes. He could feel the eyes of Tenzen Oda peering into his soul, to the point where Tenzen eyes practically strip him naked of everything Shirogane is made of, clothing, title, etc. Down to nothing but bare skin if he could, getting a sense of him as if he could read him, but he wouldn't pick up anything. The same thing the Captain sees on the outside is the same results on the inside.
Nevertheless, Shirogane eyes may be closed, but all his senses were tuned in on Tenzen, the Captain of Division 5. He couldn't get an exact read on him, but surely they both were feeling each other out on their intentions. It was like two polar opposites colliding into each other, and they do not mix very well. Tenzen, a man of mystery, a man of astute analyzation, he wasn't a Captain because he lacked manners. It goes to show that he wasn't incompetent; it would be wise not to underestimate the Captain one bit.

"Captain."
Both eyes seems to slowly open, while simultaneously called out the Captain in a similar greeting, except he didn't use his full name, but just by title. However, the tone was slightly condescending, as if Tenzen's claim of Captain was beneath him, as he meant nothing but what he can do, what Tenzen is authorization to do, which is all that matters to Shirogane. Though he wouldn't be wrong for his title of Captain means nothing at this time, given the undertaking of this procedure. Shirogane had the highest authority between them, with Tenzen only having some authority given his participation. And of course, reintroducing himself to both Shirogane and Arashi.

"As you have already heard I am Tenzen Oda, Kido Chief and Captain of the Fifth Division. Kuchiki-san, your clan has requested the use of the Aku Hachi Hakkō to dispose of training Hollows. Tenzen said his piece and share his thoughts on the manner respectfully. As it seems, he seems to hold a special care towards other members, a very noble trait to have. But Shirogane awareness picked up on the individual that has been eavesdropping the entire time that made their appearance once Tenzen seems to be okay with Arashi participating in this dangerous ritual. Not that his approval mattered to begin with anyway. Now another person has decided to show, aforementioned they didn't get any invitation which proves to be a troublesome situation on their end. Swiftly and silently to everyone else as they placed themselves purposely in between both authority figures.
"My apologies for the intrusion, Captain Oda. I could sense that you're hesitating, and you have a right to do so. I'm Lieutenant Yūgure, and I come on my own volition after gathering the necessary information to involve myself in the events of the Sixth Division, but I have reason to believe underhanded development has been executed by the self-proclaimed Head of the Clan."

None other than Lieutenant Yasu Yūgure, herself, stepping in to justify her reason for announcing her presence. Shirogane stayed the same, not one reaction or emotional shift in regards to her words that she was sharing with the Captain. Empty would be a way to describe Shirogane; he felt nothing; her words are contaminated with disrespect and misplaced authority. She came on her free will, but that would cost her more than she could imagine. She would peel the hood back as if Shirogane need to see that look; it wouldn't bother him, nor does he fear her. However, it does make him think of that moment three months ago when they had their first encounter. Shirogane was looking to rush his job as soul reaper and arrest those responsible for the coup, he met with Lt. Yasu Yūgure, Lt. Nibui Ueki, 3rd seat Jinnosuke Uekū of squad 11. Now, three months later, the very same situation has occurred, she was standing in his shoes, where he once stood as he now stood in hers. The only difference between now and then is that she seems to have gotten taller than he last remembered.
"When I had heard of your sudden rise in ranks, I was sure that an announcement would be made. You Kuchiki are a proud clan after all. However, there was no announcement nor appearances made by the head nor his clan members in just over a month. Someone as proud as you would be flaunting his newfound rank. She clicked her tongue and shook her head in mock disappointment."...a failure will act in the wildest of ways to escape, after all."
"How does it feel to crumble from your false throne?"

The Head of the Kuchiki kept his composure and continues to listen to her ramble on and on. It is a shame that someone of her skills is so arrogant and not realized the truth. Her cockiness was about to be her downfall.
"Are you finished, Lt. Yasu Yūgure?
Both eyes dropped closed yet again. There were so many errors in her words and actions that Shirogane couldn't seem to continue to stare in her direction any longer. Her behavior was unacceptable and utterly disrespectful. Once he finishes saying his piece, his eyes shall open again.
"While I commend you on you're efforts to barge into my division unannounced and assert your authority. You not only disrespected me, but you also made a grave mistake. This unique operation is the business of the royal house, Kuchiki, as well as under the order and affairs of Central 46. This undertaking exceeds far beyond you're comprehension and authority, Lt. So allow me to say this in a way that even you can understand."
Shirogane paused while allowing for those cold-hearted lavender sclerosis to be revealed slowly again.
"You have no power here.....Lt Yūgure. What you say means nothing, even the Captain and nobleman such as Tenzen Oda understands this. So before you make any rash decisions, just think as to why you didn't see any other Captains present for this operation? Or why any other members of the other divisions were notified? So I advise you to remove your hand from your zanpakuto, Lt. Attacking a royal official of the Head Kuchiki during such sensitive operation without having a direct order to do so. The punishment you could face for such action would be facing execution. Surely, that is something you are not willing to risk, but also you did not provide proper evidence of these underhanded actions you claim there is to be. Therefore, as Head Kuchiki, as a result of this, Lieutenant Yasu Yūgure of squad two under arrest, charge for interfering with the duties of Royal affairs, as well as Central 46 and accusations against the Head Kuchiki with nonsubstantial evidence. Resist arrest or try to escape would only result in the inevitable of your capture by force."

Every word he spoke was correct, whether anyone likes it or not, and there wasn't nothing, not even Captain Tenzen Oda could do or say about it, let alone Arashi. No matter what was said or done to aid in her support for freedom, it would most likely be denied. There was no need to fight her, despite the outrageous behavior, where those words she said would be fighting words. However, Shirogane has more control over his emotions than that one time, where all kinds of mixed feelings three months ago. Though she tried to dig up a reaction, reaching to confirm suspicion. He wouldn't give her that satisfaction, and there was no telling if this all been some sort of plan. Knowing what the division 2 is capable of, she wouldn't allow this to be done on purpose while only using this display as a mere misdirection for a more significant hidden agenda. Being as it may, Shirogane had only one answer to solve all this, and it is within that moment Shirogane spoke those words, he left but one name on the tip of his tongue in mind.
Immediately, four masked individuals appeared out of nowhere dressed in purple gi with only their eyes exposed. They each wore a headband around their heads with the kanji symbol of the Kuchiki in the center. Each royal guards would appear at the corner of Lt. Yasu; all of them were ready to detain her by force if she proved to cause more trouble than its worth. A fifth member arrived shortly after with cuffs to place around her wrist. These cuffs weren't just any ordinary cuffs but reiatsu sealing cuffs to prevent her from using any abilities that require the use of her spiritual energy. If she was to bring harm to them is almost like bringing harm to the Head Clan member, which results in her into more charges and would increase her sentence more. However, being a prisoner under the Kuchiki house is different than being a prisoner of the Gotei 13. Due to her interference, for her to get free from the Royal house's care, that freedom would have to be under the orders of Central 46 AND Division 1 Head Captain, Shobatsu Murasaki. Shirogane was ready for any actions, for she was but a foot away from attacking. A range that best suited her, given Yasu abilities as a member of Division 2, the functions of being apart of the onmitsukidō included espionage, deception, and surprise attacks. So he had to be ready, but if she was to allow herself to captured. His attention would now be directed towards Captain Oda. There wasn't anything left to say for the Lt, no explanation need it regarding the pride of his clan, especially to an orphan filth, such as Lt Yasu Yūgure. The Head focus was dealing with the pot, which could be justified.
"Now that is out of the way. Let's get moving Captain Oda, assuming you aren't having any second thoughts? If not, I suggest you follow me and have your members ready the kido barrier. You too, Arashi."
Shirogane would begin to lead the way to the Kuchiki manor with Lt being escorted not far behind, which the fifth member would hold onto her zanpakuto. Hopefully, Arashi, Tenzen, and the item being towed won't lag. Eventually, they would have reached the massive wooden gateway, where just along the top of the wall was a Kuchiki crest. The doors would finally creak open slowly to allow their Lord and his guest access inside. The sound of the creaking door would echo throughout the area of the barracks. Upon walking inside, there is a large lake to the right of the entrance filled with dazzling creatures of all different colors, scale patterns, koi fish. Some had gold and white design scales, black and white, even gold and black. The entire area was a wide-open space as if they only enter a different side to Division 6. He would continue to pace himself slowly, to the left of him was his private quarters with a small river going by. Just ahead was a building of much impeccable pedigree. This building was much more extensive than the rest they would have passed by. This door was wide enough for everyone to walk through without so much adjusting to the width. They are opening the door open inwards, where royal guards were standing on either side. This particular building was where all of the highest-ranking members of the Kuchiki stay. Before entering, he would nod his head towards the royal guards that had been escorting Lt Yasu. Which the signal was to place her in the holding area underneath this building. As they went to serve their duties, Shirogane, Head of the Kuchiki, would be looking towards both guests, Arashi and Captain Oda.
"Before we enter, I will request that all of you will remove your zanpakuto and leave them with my guards. Beyond this point, no zanpakuto is permitted."
He told them while removing his weapon to the guard and removed his shoes before going further. He would wait and see if they would commit to his request since it is his home. In the meantime, if the royal guards managed to escort the Lt down in the holding cell successfully. They would have walked through several corridors until they came to a basement while the fifth guard led the way with a torch in hand. That basement would have stone walls with no signs of light that passes through. They would place her in a random cell, a steel ton door with a mechanical latch to lock and unlock the door. Once inside the cell, anyone that enters would realize they could no longer produce any spiritual power, similar to that of the maggots nest due to each cell having seki seki stone embedded into the entire room. The room itself is a 6x8 dimension, where much like the basement, no windows of any kind. The door had a sliding window only that can be open and closed from the outside. The room was complete and total darkness, and if Lt was captured, what would become of her fate? Would anyone come to find her? Would she attempt to flee? And would the operation would finally begin without any more unwanted interruptions? During this, there is one individual who was somewhere among the manor who stayed confine in a room, slipping on a hooded cloak and sitting back down onto his throne.
