"Yasu..." *
Full of doubts and worries over her wellbeing ever since he heard those words that indicate her to be in trouble. At the same time, there was no hesitation or delay in his movement as he appears to be rather determined to find the biggest scoops while making sure his friend is safe. At a constant pace with his motion—Jiro was agile and fast like a cat, making use of his Hohō to make it to Sixth Division's barracks, making his way through the streets and alleys like a bolt of lightning. But by the time he arrived, it was already too late... Unaware of what had occurred within the barracks right under their nose.
"Was I too late?"
He whispered to himself as he looked at Oyama, Katsuo, Shusuke, and even Himari before he ruffled his hair in jest as he looked at the now-occupied entrance. His energized eyes wandered over his side to take a glance at the barrier, with his left arm tucked within the Shihakusho.
....
Sudden. An all too familiar ooze appears to engulf the manor from at least within the barrier. Nothing escapes except for those outside the barrier.
....
"Seems like she's okay."
A grin can be seen on his face as he looked at what was going on within the barrier. It could be that he knew whose power this belongs to?
....
"Wait..."
....
But then his expression changed from an exciting one to a terrified one the moment he realized something. His eyes opened with the pupils shrinking in the size, mouth opened and even then; his body experienced a surge of goosebump at the realization. Still, he wrapped his head around it before finding his environment swirled in a way it was the side effect of a goosebump. There is something.... different about it. Just what could it be?
....
"The hell?"
....
What a scandal, to land on his lap to exploit for the Ninth Division. Could this be that he finally got his lucky break after all of those years? Or could this be a foreboding sign for something that may be the very reason for his soon predicament?

The End or The Beginning?
cb5d731ba7f7264a124daa037d992f97.png

Saved by the efforts of Captain Oda, but it did not extend to the recovery from this spell, Shirogane had placed upon him. No where near the threat, but even so, the danger did not cease to exist. Everyone here is at risk, but no one but himself, Captain oda and Lieutenant Yugure is alive. The activation of the pot made sure of this. Arashi remained, but managed to roll over to his hands and knees, though by this point, his body suddenly collapsed. The side of his face against the floor, there is a high sense of difficulty here.
He couldn’t stand up, but he wanted to…
He couldn’t move, but he wanted to…
He couldn’t even speak, but he wanted to…
This repetitive focus is the only thing that kept him from falling completely asleep, and even now, he managed to keep one eye open, the other one shut. A single look, placed upon the creature that has become Shirogane Kuchiki. No longer will his name be heard, he is but a beast now. An animal that has no name… He is not Shirogane Kuchiki… Helpless, once again, this feeling became very familiar, but at least he had here by his side. Yes, Hoshizora, she who now rests on the ground, in the hands of the men who had once confiscated her from him. Why did he allow such a thing to happen?
Everything else didn’t matter now. He did not care about the pot. He did not care about Shirogane, Captain Oda, not even Yasu herself. His only focus stemmed towards his Zanpakuto. The only thing he could trust, when the world explodes around him. When everything else falls before him… Shaken by this revelation, his eye began to water. He began to cry, tears falling towards the ground where his face was plastered… He did not want to be helpless anymore. He wanted to be strong. He wanted his smile to remain forever… He wanted…

Deadly smile!

!!!
A sudden snap, as if a bolt of lighting is sent through every fiber of his being. He stands, so fast that it never seemed as though his arms or legs moved to support such an action. His face was clustered by a white substance. Bubbling, contracting and then condensing into a mask to suit his overall character. Arashi has gained strength far beyond what he believed is possible. A power similar to what Shirogane had achieved. How? When? None of this mattered at all. Now he stands, now he is ready to fight. His instincts bleeding with such power that he seemed stuck, unable to move or able to twitch a muscle. Suddenly, his left hand flexed, his fingers spreading. An unforseen power, but rather a call to his Zanpakuto. Clatter, clatter, clatter, his Zanpakuto rumbled on the floor before springing from it and flying straight into his hand at high speeds! The scabbard with in his palm, gripped, the right hand quickly moved concurrently to take hold of the handle.
It felt so good. This strength he possessed. This unknown power… Now that he had his Zanpakuto, he felt virtually unstoppable. However, even he wasn’t alone in this realization. Both Captain oda and Lieutenant Yugure have attained the same power-up. Both donning masks to suit their own character as well. What felt like a blessing to them, turned into a curse for everyone within the Soul Society and even the Rukongai.
A battle between four Hollowfied individuals begins, and Lieutenant Yugure’s Bankai comes into full effect. Her black tar encompassing not just the room that he and herself stands with in, but expands to the entire compound. As the ocean of tar reaches his feet, his instincts allowed him to react, faster than what he was capable of doing before. His shunpo allowed him to escape what could be a dangerous situation for himself. His movements taking him to the ceiling of the room.
SMASH!
The pommel of his Zanpakuto meeting the surface of the ceiling with terrifying force allowing for Arashi to smash through it with ease. Had there been several layers above, they would pose no trouble to his advancement to the outside. His appearance upon the roof was instantaneous, but even now he would not be alone. The tar he escaped followed him, or at least that is what someone may believe. No, the sprouting of flowers moved with such force and so rapidly that they traveled upwards in hops to impale Arashi indirectly, but they would find that his reaction time is superb, allowing him to avoid being impaled by the use of his flash-step in numerous locations. Almost like dancing, he showed no form of effort, no form of fatigue in his actions. His hand remained on the handle. Her lotus flower bloomed, decorating the interior of the barrier, allowing none to view from the outside.

The situation the Captain finds himself in is quite the dire one, a Hollowfied Shinigami before him, a dormant artifact that could reawaken at any moment, and he is without his Zanpakuto. The pressure builds and builds. Within these next few moments, Tenzen will find out if this pressure will create diamonds or if it will just rupture pipes. LT Yugure seems poised to go for the traitor while he does what he can to seal the pot and he is honestly thankful for her decisive action. He wouldn't foolishly begin to cast such a spell in front of an enemy without a contingency plan in place and while he did have one it gave his mind a bit of rest knowing there is still fight in the Shinigami surrounding him. The pot temporarily sealed Tenzen makes his move to join the attack as Hado 54 flies from his palm. It is a mid-tier spell cast without an incantation used as more of a ploy to deliver his plan that hid in the form of that white aura hugging his body. The Hado takes a portion of that aura with it as it was fired, hoping to use Shirogane Kuchiki's current power high against himself. The ploy fails as the spell is not blocked or batted away but instead reflected off the mirror summoned by his Zanpakuto in the direction of Lt. Yugure! With inferior knowledge of the Zanpakuto abilities around him Tenzen had no way to anticipate such a reaction from the Kuchiki, perhaps he isn't caught in a power high after all.
Surely the Lt. can avoid this spell or protect herself from it but he couldn't stand idly by and do nothing to stop it. The Reiryoku boiling inside him surfaces, making use of his quick hand motions to aim ahead of the reflected Hado.
"Hadō #63. Raikō- Gha!!"
Tenzen's face was grasped by the Hollowfied traitor, his spell missing its mark as he is grabbed and taken away. He is slammed through wall after wall, building after building, so much so he had lost track of how many he had hit. Shirogane was showing just how much faster, stronger and more reactive he was than the Captain, showing him that this new power he has obtained can close the gap in power effortlessly. At one point before this, the Captain seemed ready to take action against any attack or action Shirgane may throw his way but was he truly ready? Was Tenzen, at that moment- no, at this moment ready to deal with and handle the monster holding his face? So long as he can keep conscious the answer would be a resounding, YES! Tenzen, calculated this event into his plans, well not being grabbed by the face and slammed through walls and buildings but physical contact was calculated. He calculated Shirogane's power high into his plans and will use them to defeat the Kuchiki. When someone obtains a new sense of power be it a promotion, being elected group leader or in this case, a literal power boost they receive an elated feeling equal to a high of sorts. This "power high" causes people to realize their minor actions will have a major effect on someone else. Such things lead to inflated self-importance and inflated ego, or in Shirogane's case overinflated.

Stand Up Be Strong
c98ffb8ee5bac369f19c48afce2d8b2e.png

Two statements were formed in the Captain's mind when the calculations were made, "Shirogane will block the Hado" and "Shirogane will make physical contact to demonstrate his dominance over me", one of these statements hold true. That white aura around Tenzen wasn't for show, nor was it even the color of his Reiryoku. That white aura was his Kidō Displacement technique being primed. He channels the spell within himself, within another spell, or in his own Zanpakuto and when one of those three things make contact with their target the channeled spell transfers into the target and lies dormant until Tenzen recites the name of said spell allowing it to cast from within the target with little to no room to avoid it. The Kuchiki threw out caution, never question the aura around the Captain as he believed his new power would be more than enough to topple him. Grabbing the Oda's face transferred Shirogane's doom into his very body and now the Captain just needs to speak the spells name to trigger it... Only... He's doing what he can to remain conscious in the grip of the masked monster and can't focus enough to cast this spell. A terrible turn of events, dying in the grasp of a traitor only two hours after becoming a Captain at that. He has let himself down, he has let his Clan down, his Division and more importantly Soul Society. The end draws near... Or does it?
"Come on, wake up, I'll help ya out."
A voice calls out from within Tenzen as a surge of power erupts within him and for whatever reason the Kuchiki lets him go. Landing on his feet and launching himself into the air he feels revitalized, no, more than that he feels empowered! He has to focus, whatever this surge of power is it'll lead him down a path similar to the Kuchiki, fighting outside his normal routine and making critical mistakes.
"Hey, don't hold back. Let's beat the ever-living hell out of this traitor. You're stronger now, stronger than him. You and I both know people like him only learn their place through PAIN."
"Shut up Kokūzō, now is not the-"
"I AINT KOKŪZŌ!! I'm you, well, the new OTHER you."

This conversation takes place within the mind of Tenzen over the course of a brief moment as he physically tries to collect himself and mentally as well.
"Hmm, right I had Kokūzō taken from me earlier so you can't be him."
"I... I JUST said that. This is why you can't socialize! You-"
"Okay, shut up now. I'll deal with you later."

Tenzen drowns out this voice much as he does with every other intrusive thought that tries to plague him. He makes a fist with both his hands and finally notices his vision is, narrowed? His perception has increased but something else is in the way, he notices it, something is on his face. He reaches up and touches it, the world goes silent for Captain Oda as he realizes what is on his face- what he has become.

The realization is startling, almost enough to throw him off his focus. He has become just like Shirogane, a Hollowfied monster.
"Oh that's just a part of me, don't worry it's harmless just-"
That voice again, that voice that sounds much like his own only... twisted, warped in some way as if put through a filter. His slight loss in focus allowed that voice to speak up once again but he drowns it out once more, his gaze returning to Shirogane. It seems like the Lt's Bankai has made it this far so fast, and it begins to grab hold of Shirogane wanting to pull him into its inky substance.
SMASH!
In the distance, this noise resonates throughout the area prompting Tenzen to glance away from Shirogane for a moment as he thought it was the pot reactivating itself again. He could not sense his Kido shattering so that wasn't it but what he could spot was a figure. As he attempted to strain his eyes to see who it was his vision would focus instantly without much need for strain and in his sights was Arashi, although his back was to him he could tell who it was. He was relieved that his and the Lt's efforts kept him safe, he was but a bystander forcefully dragged into an affair he didn't seem comfortable with. He seemed to be avoiding the black flowers sprouting from the Lt's Bankai, perhaps it is a Bankai that attacks friend and foe alike? More of a reason to feel uneasy around the Second Division. However, what Tenzen picked up on was that Arashi's Reiatsu seemed... Off, similar to the Kuchiki's and now his own. Now that he thinks about it Lt. Yugure's Reiatsu feels similar, what exactly has happened to them? Irrelevant, all that matters is securing and containing that Pot before more trouble is made.
"Fūsatsu Kakei" (封殺火刑, Seal Slaying-Fire Penance)
Tenzen points and triggers the dormant spell within Shirogane causing yellow-gold rings to form around his wrists. These rings block off the Reiatsu vents in the wrists found in all Shinigami, even Hollowfied powers won't change the Kuchiki's anatomy. This means all that power he just obtained backs up and incinerates him from the inside out all while being dragged and pulled into black tar, had he just tried to escape and not fight he possibly could have avoided this fate. With the secondary issue taken care of Tenzen can now focus on the primary issue of containing the pot with more seals while also trying to figure out how to deactivate this new power of his.

"Third Seat Shusuke Kiyoshi of Division 6 here, lady priestess. Hearing the Tenteikura message, is there any information you can share with me and is there a way for us to work alongside one another to figure this all out?"
The Priestess looks at Shusuke and remains silent as there is another Shinigami approaching them, she awaits his arrival before attempting to speak.
"Katsuo Oda, 5th seat of Division 13. My 3rd seat is in there, my 4th is trying to get in now."
The soldiers of the Kido Corps quickly took notice to the mention of there being a Shinigami trying to enter the barrier, troubling news indeed. The Priestess is then introduced to Himari, a member of the Kido Corps affiliated Fifth Division. The two Divisions being intertwined and working close together gives Himari some form of clearance to currently be on these grounds, was this Thirteenth Division Fifth seat attempting to use Himari as a way to bypass her clear and direct warning? The Priestess raises her hand, seemingly about to point in a direction to order this group to go in. She is silent and then she speaks.
"Bakudō #61. Rikujōkōrō" (六杖光牢, Six Rods Prison of Light; Viz "Six-Rod Light Restraint")
Six thin beams of light form and fly towards the group from all angles and they all slam into... Katsuo Oda. Kido Corps troops move in casting Bakudō # 1. Sai to restrain his arms behind his back, another troop moves in to disarm him of his Zanpakuto while another cast Bakudō #4. Hainawa, wrapping a Kido rope around his arms and upper body to further seal his movements. The Priestess lowers her hand and looks towards Shusuke and Himari, all that can be gathered from the woman is body language, a certain level of elegance that seems to never be lost even when casting spells. She speaks to them both, her voice as clear as day.
"Shusuke Kiyoshi of Sixth Division, considering you were currently on these grounds when the warning was issued you shall not be restrained. Himari Shimizu of Fifth Divison, as you are part of our affiliated Division you shall not be restrained. You both will be ordered to first find this Fourth seat of Thirteenth Division, restrain them by any means necessary and bring them back here, use force if you must. After that evacuate those who still linger, use force if you must. Be sure not to get in the way of The Kido Corps while you are executing these orders. That is all."
She turns away from them and faces Katsuo, she says nothing for the moment only watching him. He is but a naive boy trying to operate well beyond his station. A naive boy who ignored an obvious, singular, warning about wandering into the 6th Division Barracks. She finally breaks her silence and tells the boy why he is being restrained.
"Katsuo Oda of the Thirteenth Division you are currently being restrained for violating a direct warning issued to the entire quadrant of the Southwest Seireitei. For now, you will be escorted outside the gates of the 6th Division and upon completion of this operation, you shall be turned over to the Second Division for transfer to Maggots Nest. Should your Fourth seat be found the same shall await them. That is all."
The Priestess turns her back to Katsuo Oda, his pleas will fall upon deaf ears as the Kido Corps troops being taking him to the entry gates of the 6th Division.

If there were a time in which Yasu didn’t appreciate the fact that she had the ability to harden her body to where kido spells didn’t damage her body as much as they planned to, it was never. However, without the ability to breathe at the time, she couldn’t express her gratitude. The lack of her attention to the area around her was a mistake, and it felt as if she paid dearly for it. Following the six imprisoning rods, a shock to her chest that knocks what air she has left to give, and then a final to the dead center of her forehead, knocking her back and out cold.
And the flames that encase her fallen body don’t burn as a normal flame would. It feels… empowering. To those sitting aside, watching as the flames lick higher and stretches, the heat would be far unbearable, just as they’d experienced before. Fallen in the line of righteous duty… That was a good way to go, right?
Right?
No. She didn’t want to die. Did she fear death as he proclaimed earlier? No... It was leaving behind everyone when she wasn’t ready to.
“Get up, you fucking loser.”
“What?”

Was this a dream? It must have been. Maybe she was still stuck inside of the Mukuro Manor, passed out from exhaustion, dreaming away. That must be it.
“Did I fucking stutter? You’re gonna let that piece of shit take you out like that? You’re a loser that got her ass handed back on a silver platter.”
Looking around her, this lieutenant hadn’t the slightest idea of just who was talking to her. It felt as if her eyes wouldn’t pry open, and she was forever plunged into a sea of darkness, capable of only hearing this berating, hissing tone that poked and prodded away.
“You’re crazy, lady, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Yasu couldn’t help but scoff, but she felt a rather rough grasp on her face that made her look up at something.
“If I’m crazy, then so are you.” The lieutenant’s face is shoved roughly away. “You lost, and now, you’re just gonna lay there, and die as you are. Pathetic.”
“I’m not path-”
“YOU LOST!”
That voice boomed and Yasu couldn’t help but recoil. “Don't worry, you won't die. I’ll finish what you started, and I’ll do it better than you ever did.”
Those restraints placed on Yasu by Shirogane’s clone shatter into dust, and an explosion of pure white light that extinguishes the flame. The body that once lies unmoving is now standing in the aftermath, unblemished, pristine. Her chest rises, taking that sharp inhale as lieutenant’s body comes back to life anew. And it utters those unfinished words, and their little bubble cut off from the rest of the Soul Society is painted black, splotches of red only becoming due to the blooming of her precious red lotuses.
“Fuck yes.”
Her Bankai rises, and continues to grow, adding onto those three feet of slick, black tar. No area within the barrier is left untouched, and friend and foe alike begin to suffer from the unrelenting spouts of her lotus stalks that pierce through the pit. Wading through the blackened waters, to those other than herself, they’d feel as if they’d be stuck in place unless said otherwise by the creator of such an ominous ability.
Illustration504.png

From inside the manor, it drips from the ceilings, and ripples into waves as she moves; it crawls up her skin, attaching to her as a host, and seemed never-ending. The light of the sun was hidden away, and if it hadn’t, the sight of the Second Division lieutenant would be as if she were something from a horror story that parents tell their children in order for them to behave. Nothing deterred her, not even Arashi, who was moving with a newfound power like her own to avoid the ferocious lotus.
Moving restlessly, this hallowed monster could see the figures of Shirogane Kuchiki and Captain Oda, but she was only interested in one of them. Down into the depths of the tar did she go. Beneath those clawing black hands, a lotus blooms with a burst, larger than the others and splattering the black tar in waves of droplets that just seemed to multiply. The surrounding area becomes littered in lotus flowers, bloomed and all, surrounding him in a dome-like fashion simultaneously, three-hundred-and-sixty degrees. Should Shirogane have not found any way to have avoided the tar at any point of exposure since its expulsion, there was little room to work within the means of escape.
Those hands would continue to grow and claw, tearing through the fabric of his shihakusho and digging deep into his flesh. Having already experienced this once in its most basic Shikai form, Shirogane had become ensnared by its properties and prohibited from any sort of movement, even feeling crushed from giving resistance against it. With her current boost in her hallowed form, the power that sat in her Bankai was unparalleled to anything Shirogane had experienced before. Bone crushing, skin splitting, head severing unpredictability as the tar lathers on itself endlessly. The lotus flower beneath begins to close, ready to consume another victim to add to the collection. Those many hands from before may have just been these former victims, lying in wait for another to join their fray.

As his head was turned to examine a point of entry within this barrier, he wasn’t entirely caught off guard with what he didn’t witness, but heard away from his current gaze. Head completely turned and fixed on the energies coming from within and witnessing a black ooze seep its way from cracks and other small crevices. He instantly knew who the particular technique belonged to but he had never seen it on such a scale, which could only mean one thing…”She mastered it…” he thought. Surely enough, his train of thought would be snapped by the second Bakudo released unto Katsuo by the surrounding kido corps members. He turned his head finally to find the blonde Shinigami restrained beyond his current comprehension. Shusuke sighed and slightly shook his head while trying to not make eye contact with the young man. All he thought was that he tried to tell him, but nothing more. He watches the priestess lower her hand as quickly as she raised it, she spoke in a authoritative tone and obviously wasn’t in the gaming mood either. First explaining why he wasn’t being restrained and the other female shinigami with them, then giving them a direct order.
”You both will be ordered to first find this Fourth seat of Thirteenth Division, restrain them by any means necessary and bring them back here, use force if you must. After that evacuate those who still linger, use force if you must. Be sure not to get in the way of The Kido Corps while you are executing these orders. That is all."
He felt a little insulted with his current orders but nonetheless he had to follow them or risk being sent to the nest. The 4th seat Shinigami from Division 13….could it be the female shinigami in the air above observing the barracks. He looked at her once more to see if she was still present, she was. Unfortunately he could not confirm with Katsuo on whether or not this was who he was looking for seeing as he was currently being dragged off to the nest. So he without any haste, leaped into the airspace above him and patiently stood in front of the shinigami with both hands resting on his hilt. Standing on a platform of reishi, he was just outside of 2 meters away from her. He wasted little time in the detainment of the shinigami before him but he wondered if she would come along quietly. He assumed his usual tactics, taking them down from the ledge they wished to jump from and come along quietly. But more often than not, there was never once a situation in which Shusuke has been part of this Division that has happened.
”Listen, it would suit you best if you just came along without any violence. It would be, unbecoming to say the least. I’ll give you one chance to make the right decision for yourself. You saw what happened to the Shinigami below who trespassed as you are, if I hadn’t seen you...that would have been entirely different. But here we are. Come along quietly, or this will be a messier day than intended.”
He spoke in not a cold tone but a flat one. He wasn’t sure who this Shinigami was or how she would react to such words but she had to understand the position he was coming from in all of this. He didn’t want to detain him but he was ordered to do so, and the job seemed easy enough considering she hadn’t gone too far. But now the hard part remained. He hoped she wouldn’t think about a fight, it wasn’t in his intention to do so but he if the situation took a turn for the need of force...so be it. He awaited her answer and hoped it would be favorable to both of them.
