Rukongai --- Southwest
With Fuyuko on his coattails, the captain had entered the threshold of his own division once more, her very being giving him to confidence to face those who he had formerly hidden himself from. His bandages had grown even more stale, hardly unraveling from his fight with Tenzen, but becoming dry at the taste of Soul Society’s air. As he walked forward he’d find a loose piece and begin to unravel them further, starting at the wrist. He revealed his arms, up to the shoulders, and released the tight binding of bandages along his neck and down his chest still. He stopped only around the waist, before pausing in his stride for a moment to lean against a barrack wall, to do the same to his feet and legs. He was out of uniform, hardly recognizable due to the abomination that had become his beard, and still, the moment he parted the doors to the 10th Division’s inner courtyard his ears were ravaged-
“Taichou!!!”
“Taichou!!!”
“Taichou!!!”

Higen’s eyes widened, a plethora of 10th Division’s finest greeting both him and the lieutenant as they entered their home. They surrounded him in a fashion similar to that of the children in Rukongai, the excitement shining through at the return of their Shining Captain. So many questions at once, the beard and hair a popular topic, some even noted how the Captain’s body, now divulged from the former veil of the bandages, seemed to still be nearly spotless without a scar in sight. To them, their Captain was invincible; Higen the Mighty, the bulwark that stood between them and damnation. He’d do his very best to maintain that image, but even he knew of his flaws and weak points. His endearing nature and aspect of sacrifice would be his downfall one day. He struck luck with the Kototsu’s outcome, and without Captain Yu’s hard work.. Higen’s thread was likely to be cut short. Once all those present got their curiosity out of the way and their excitement dwindled, Higen would diffuse the crowd.
“Alright, Alright- Let me get by bearings back.. It’s good to see you all to, and I hope Fuyuko here hasn’t been working you all too hard. We will celebrate properly after I feel like myself again, aye?”
“Aye, Taichouuuu!!!”
“Aye, Taichouuuu!!!”
“Aye, Taichouuuu!!!

In unison they responded with a common voice, inspired by the briefest of statements, some even brought to tears based on how much they simply missed the Captain’s presence these last few months. Still, looking through the crowd there were a few faces that Higen hoped to see that were absent, Shizuka among them. He wasn’t particularly worried about the kid, but it was odd that he wasn’t just lounging about the division like usual.
Breaking off from the courtyard Higen was welcomed by his own quarters for the first time in three months. Everything exactly how he left it, as if the very room was frozen in time. Atop his desk was his uniform, folded in a perfect square, no doubt Fuyuko’s handiwork. Directly next to it was his Haori; he picked it up and held it firmly in his hands, the fabric feeling thin, wanting. Something about it wasn’t right, and there was a void that this coat could not fill. He walked over to a part of the room that hasn’t been touched in decades. A small closet was at the edge of the room, the door blocked off by a bunch of junk the Captain had accumulated over the years. Parting its doors, he revealed things that he would describe as relics. A large wooden box laid gently on the top shelf of the closet, of which he’d pull down effortlessly and place onto the desk as well. A simple latch-lock was the only line of defense before the box’s contents were revealed. Nested perfectly in the large sheet of velvet that was laid out in the box’s interior were a pair of aluminum-like bracers, sitting atop the Captain’s original Haori. This was the first coat he was given upon promotion, sleeveless unlike his current. They had been put away due to their connection a past of friction, of turmoil. In this moment he could not explain it, a looming threat in the form of a pit in his stomach, and a tumorous void in his mind. One way or another, he knew he’d have to return to the Higen of his past in order to dismantle any threats that oppose his kin.

Central Seireitei --------> Southwest Seireitei
"Whew...Feels like i been runnin' round all day now."
Maho Kojima flickers into view once more, Atop the roof of a large tower, phone in hand. Overlooking the southwest district, he can see every major building of focus from here. He scans the scenery, taking immediate note of the tenth division. He can see a number of seated shinigami scurrying about. They seem happy, from here at least he can hear the cries of them calling out for their Taicho. A smirk appears on Maho's face, Looks like once again, I'm right on time.
He scans the land once more until he sees something...different. A large barrier encases a building in the direction of a particular manor. He attempts to connect the dots of the day. The name Shirogane had come up earlier from Jiro's post. This info came directly from Division two. So that means the Second is involved... Could it be a coincidence that the Kuchiki noble house in question was also the building currently encased in the same barrier? Something wasn't right indeed and something told him that this story was going to be much bigger than he anticipated. He would have to make his rounds after speaking with Higen, which was priority number one.
He flickers from his perch, his form blending and melding into thin air, then reappearing in the tenth division courtyard. His presence would no doubt shock the currently happy members of the tenth, the very aroma of herbs leaking from his body anywhere he went, speaking of which his current cigar was down to its last hit, he takes a puff and tosses it into the floor, stepping on it to extinguish its flame.
Then he grabs a fresh one from his little box and places it between his teeth.
"Higen senpai is inside right? He questions the division members without stopping for an answer. He can sense the Knights presence anyway, so asking was more or less his version of a pleasantry. With no semblance of restraint in his step, he waltzes into Higen's living space as he is haunched over, observing Something
Oiiii! After all this time and looking around I finally find you here. Heh!"
He chuckles then takes a step forward, "I never did get my training session either..."
A flash of light exudes from his being, engulfing the tip of his cigar in a minor flame. The trademark smoke begins to fill the room in a pleasant smell, its effects more than likely bringing with it the same sensation of calm it always did. His mind would begin to feel more at ease the longer he stayed within this cramped space with Maho, purely off second-hand exposure. It was strong stuff. He seemed to pay little mind to what Higen had going on in the present moment, allowing him some semblance of 'privacy' despite barging into his space.
"Yo Old man. I hear you lead a new Captain through the Senkaimon, And on the first day back on the job? Whew..you've got it rough.
He takes a seat on the floor and crosses his leg over the other. His arm resting on his knee.
"Oda was it? How did it go?"
He would save his other questions for a moment, as to not overwhelm the old man. Who knew how the effects of his injuries still haunted his body? Who knew how the plagued his mind. He would be careful in prying too deep too suddenly.
He had a hunch that this round of questioning would lead him down a path of information he needed. The Soul Society was full of stories today, freshly ready to be scooped up. Behind his hair, his eyes were more serious than his behavior led on. An odd, eery feeling began to overtake him as the day went on.

She had lifted her head at what was happening to the barrier, a black ooze came out from manor itself, before covering up the barrier itself. No way of sensing, even if she concentrated on her sensing she wouldn’t be able to distinguish anyone with all the people gathering around; more importantly even if the priestesses weren’t around. That barrier itself was far to powerful to even sense anything beyond. She was robbed from her visual, no show to be seen no way of knowing if Arashi was in that whole mess, and now she was more than likely going to get caught by these Preistesses who have yet to look up. Why doesn’t anyone look up?
A sigh came from her, she knew from the start there was no way of getting into the barrier, since they were able to spot it from far away. Breaking in was smaller than a pipe dream, she knew she did not possess the strength to break it. She had her curiosity take the better of her. A flash of light could be seen in her perfieral vision, causing her head to turn towards its direction, then she saw it; Katsuo bound in Kido, A bakudo spell that was pretty high up. She had seen it done a few times, and it was done by a teacher, just to demonstrate that their were more powerful binding Kidos if only because of a student claiming he could get out of any kido binds. Foolish mistake, on that guys part. Now there was something more interesting at play there, they seemed to have restrained him even further, with atleast one more visable Kido spell. Overkill… These priestesses weren’t playing around… Though still Rikujōkōrō was more then enough to restrain Katsuo, the other one was just overkill.
“Guess his noble status and ties to his brother won’t help him either…”
Though she was always critical of the nobles, she was never truly harsh towards Katsuo, only picking on him, if only because she knew it would irk him, though this was more harsh, was it the fact that Furia had more control? Did she truly lose against Furia? It felt like she was getting boxed in, and the stress of this whole situation was making her breath just a little faster. Then a voice would reach out, snapping her out from her anxiety filled thoughts.
cb5d731ba7f7264a124daa037d992f97.png

”Listen, it would suit you best if you just came along without any violence. It would be, unbecoming to say the least. I’ll give you one chance to make the right decision for yourself. You saw what happened to the Shinigami below who trespassed as you are, if I hadn’t seen you...that would have been entirely different. But here we are. Come along quietly, or this will be a messier day than intended.”
Her head turned towards him, her blue eyes examing him close both his hands were resting upon his zanpakuto’s hilt. He was ready to draw it out, despite his tone and choice of words, he wanted her to come quietly. Yes this would have worked… with Oyama in complete control She wasn’t in control, Furia was in the one holding the leash of the body. She couldn’t trust Oyama so she took back the control by moving her hand had towards her mouth with her thumb extending out, where she bit down upon it hard enough begin drawing blood out from it. She can still feel! Now her eyes began to change in both size and colour, shrinking for a moment before widening out back to a normal size, though it was now blood red.
CrazyOyaRemake.png

Now she had moved her hand towards her braid, staining her hair with the blood as she moved her fingers and thumb through it to break it all apart and allowing her hair to become a mess. if he could he would be able to feel her reiatsu shift, one that had been confused and scared to one that was now with a darker and more sinister intent. If he couldn’t it would be the physical changes that would give it away that he was now dealing with a different person.
Snap_u6ZaY0c4f91889068238.png

She didn’t speak a word as she began to shift her eyes around the area, that little stunt she just did would more than likely have her surrounded. With that she would shunpo back, appearing only to go back in a straight line, though the first time she would reappear she would have her draw out her zanpakuto, out of precaution, before shunpoing back once again, doing it several times before finally stopping. Now she wondered if she was going to be far enough away that, the male Shinigami would come in after her, or simply give up. More importantly would the Priestesses come in full pursuit or would they just not be bothered to do so and keep an eye on the barrier? Hopefully the latter and not the former. Though she was readying herself for a fight against the male if he had followed. Now she had hoped he followed if only to ask him if she had seen Arashi, at least enter the building. Now whether or not she was able to find out if he was able to enter that building she couldn’t do anything about it now, that barrier alone was more than enough to keep her out, but the priestesses would so easily throw her into a cell of this so called Maggots nest…
Both Oyama and Furia knew little of this place, the name range a bell, as someone from 11th division called themselves the demon of the maggot’s nest. Though it doesn’t sound like a pleasant place to stay. Heh… this will be the first time in a while today that she was without Katsuo by her side to watch her like she was some lost pup.
“The right decision is to keep my distance from 6th division, Neither of us want to get sent to some secret prison don’t we?”
“No. a rare agreement once again…”
Had the male followed he would have heard the out loud question to Oyama, he would be forgiven if he thought she was talking to her.

The end had been near where the two kido that quickly constructed not only to bind the individual in question. The second demon art spell was to help end this woman suffering—saving Lieutenant Yagure from being too overwhelmed by the chaos with just a simple solution that was to solve a simple problem.
Once the kido had released from the creator's fingertips, it reached her without question, with nothing to halt its purpose—the purpose of killing her by sending that shot straight through the skull. Or at least that was to be expected, but there seems to be an error. He watched from a distance as the hado number that is known to penetrate through flesh and bone.
That wasn't the case; in fact, it barely did anything except knocked her out. Shirogane was tempted to finish the job that he set out to do, but it seems the Master had already been on the prowl to attack the Captain. He would now take the opportunity to do something else since the three shinigami were occupied to their own affairs at the moment.
Furthermore, this ocean of black tar did not help one bit, as Lt Yasu manages to unleash her ace in the hole. Lt's activation of Bankai that now shrouds the entire ground that is still confined within the boundary of this dome kido. Without wasting another moment before the tar even tries to capture him as it done to everyone else that was deemed utterly useless or incapable. It was his power to use a mirror near himself and the pot before anyone tries anything to it.
And just like that, the inverted clone of Shirogane that continues to be ignored by everyone else was now gone from this place. Nowhere to be located inside of even the likes of division 6, he would have left the area and gone somewhere that no one could reach him in time for the last-minute plan.

No longer was Shirogane, Head of the Kuchiki clan was a pure soul reaper any longer. Gaining this new power allowed him to drop all of his "tactics" that were to fight with a clear mind, find a weakness. However, this power that was bestowed to him by merely absorbing the hollows. There was no need for such things, and he could quickly tell there was a gap between them. Simply overpowering them now would only solidify his authority that he now has over them and everyone else that opposes him. Many people believe that power can mean many things. It could symbolize strength, control, influence, rule, supremacy, energy, and a whole bunch of other words. However, Shirogane had access to every definition of power; he was power. The very presence and position he was in symbolizes every word that belongs under that word.
Even held tools that come with it, being a ruler of his clan, having influence over central 46. Those are just examples of what Shirogane had possessed, which poses him a significant threat or any royal house member that holds the keys. Nevertheless, what separates Shirogane from the other Great Houses, is that he held the key to hollowfication powers. A power they shall never obtain in their lifetime; however, while he was looking to test these new powers against Captain Oda where he proven that gap when he manages to closed the distance between them in a split second. The clone left to deal with the pot since it had been left unattended, but now it would be a matter of dealing with the Captain while sending him crashing through series of walls and buildings that made up the foundation of the Kuchiki Manor. He was tough, but the end was near, but not the end Shirogane had hoped. A sudden shift in the atmosphere caused his eyes beneath the mask to widen upon the energy he felt. But then at the same time, something white was forming around the Captain's face, slowly forging into something that couldn't seem possible.
"How!?"
His mind screamed. The majesty plan had changed, immediately he let go of his monstrous grip of the Captain's face. His expression couldn't be seen, but he was utterly distraught at the sight. But it wasn't fear; it was the state of mind that question, how? Why? Did Shirogane somehow implanted the hollow powers into the Captain?
"No. That couldn't be it! It had to be........."
His mind pondered as he begins to think about the calculations and every detail he studied about the powers. By mentally going over the notes he researched himself, he then suddenly realized a fatal error in his plans. A mistake he didn't take into account, his eyes widen once more at the realization, remembering when the pot first open by his touch. That power still lingers about throughout the barrier, and the wall seals everything inside, which leaves everyone inside to be affected by the pot's energy. His sole purpose of harnessing this power and claim it as his own has been for nothing, an identity he thought to have as his own, now taking away just like that. He wasn't the only one, Lt and Arashi too. He could feel their hollowfying presence among the barrier.
"This cannot be! This....this...."
Lost in this sudden surprise, Shirogane then realized he was stuck in this tar, a tar he was quite fond of from before. However, it seemed more durable than before. Pair of hands were latched to the ankle than more showed up, clawing at him with such violence, ripping at his clothes, even at his flesh. Slowly being sucked into this pool of evil blackness that was Yasu's doing. The noble did not make a sound, not a single word or sound escaped his lips, but as these, multiple hands were grabbing at him like hungry beasts. It became apparent that he couldn't get free. Struggle to fight, struggling to release himself from their grasp but to no avail. And just then, when he thought there was a glimmer of hope when he thought to used a final trick to removed himself from this situation. Aiming to retreat exterior of the barrier by conjuring a mirror that the clone planted in the training dummy from earlier, before Arashi arrived into the barracks. He was looking to spam the technique another time to switch spots once again to meet up with the clone in the Rukon District and go into hiding to recover.
9883f2ce7bad13c5ecf4020f4c7c2dee.png

However, nothing had worked, not a single mirror came to his beckoning call. He didn't hear the words Tenzen said, too caught up in trying to focus but whatever he said, whatever he done. Two golden-yellow rings arose around the wrist, which yet again surprises has to stop. Shirogane did not know what deviltry this Captain has cast on him, but for whatever reason, he could feel the inside of his body, twisted and turning like a bad stomach ache but worst. It came with the unimaginable pain of burning. He lacks the understanding of how this exactly happened, unbeknownst it was when he touch the Captain while he prepared for this special kido. Unfortunately, Shirogane was caught and dead the moment he laid a hand on the Captain, and it was within that moment, his fate was sealed. Once Shirogane begins to understand that there was no point in fighting, no point in trying to counter because there was none. Even the mask slowly broke down, leaving only half of his face exposed for Yasu and the Captain to see.
And suddenly.....
68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f7879494f65584450314e653963413d3d2d3130332e313533383335346238343364613633623734373638383038393437382e676966

A smile? That one side of his mouth curled up into a smile. But why? A hollowfied being that was out to kill, and harm would smile at death? It's hard to tell if the essence of this mask had imprinted on Shirogane's expression, or this power has made the Kuchiki lose control of his mind and actions. However, a Kuchiki has never known to smile, even till death. Shirogane smiled after thinking of everything he has gone through, all the time he spent planning, training, also going as far as stepping away from his division to succeed in a plan to overthrow the injustice. But the main reason is that they now hold the keys to being a hollow. The very same power he held would soon be a burden left in this world to them. There's a chance that they could become the very criminals they protect the Seireitei from. The thought of them possibly suffering to get stabbed in the back by the very people they were looking to save, now exiles or worst. Those masks they hold were from his doing, and they were his children in Shirogane's perspective. The head of the Kuchiki, one eye that is still exposed, would meet with Captain Tenzen Oda's eyes.
"I hope one day, Captain. You will come to know the...groan truth as I have. Hopefully, once you do, you shall do what is necessary. That's all I wanted. If you want to know the truth, search in the archives of Central 46."
His voice still somewhat had evidence of a hollow, that demonic like voice. He managed to share what he wanted until he was no more, allowing whatever happens, happen. As the thoughts began to drift, he begins to reminisce of his accolades and everything he had achieved. Death may be his fate, but the victory was not theirs, or so he would hope they don't think he went out without a failsafe. Of course, Tenzen would notice the pot was missing, and Shirogane would most likely ignore any questions had he asked. It was irrelevant for the pot would be far from his reaches, so he didn't need an answer. What would happen next would be too late for anyone to do anything about it. Shirogane begins to think about his son, his clan, his wife and unborn child. He did not have anything to say except to try and remember their faces as he leaves this earth by being swallowed in the depths of this Shikai. He was dying on the grounds of the Kuchiki Clan, dying from his pride and arrogance. Some could view Shirogane as a failure in an attempt to gain power. But he caused more harm than their eyes could see.

Somewhere among the Soul Society, a woman cries out in pain. Someone reaches in between the gap of her legs. Only a few seconds later, the cry of an infant was born, as the man now held this beautiful infant child in his arms, as it hollered and hollered, but everyone was filled with joy. The screams of the mother died down after the pressure and weight had vanished.
"It's a girl, my lady. What do you want to name her?"
The man asked while only a few others stood around the bed the woman lay in, and the baby was then wrapped in cloth and handed over for her to hold. The hollering had stopped once the baby came eye to eye with the creator. The connection between mother and child was now face to face, and the infant was no longer bound inside of the woman, seeing her face, a look she would probably forget in time. A mug of ebony kissed skin with long purple hair and those big yellow like eyes that were filled with tiredness from hours of labor.
"Her name shall be......shall b-"Her words were cut short for her vision got blurry, but then it was dark.
"Lady Shihoin? LADY SHIHOIN! WAKE UP!?" one woman shouted
All life that she had was suddenly gone, arms went limp, and the wrapped infant rolled out of the mother's arm and onto the bed. But the man quickly reached the baby who now begins to cry once again. One of the people grasp the woman in bed by the wrist and placed two fingers onto the neck. Unfortunately, there was no life in her, and it was gone, the connection between mother and child was short-lived.
"What should we do?"
A woman asked the man.
Even he was confused and lost....
He said nothing but sit there lost in thought.

Shirogane zanpakuto shattered to pieces or ended up lost within the ocean of black gunk. A single tear flew down from the corner of his eye, down to his chin. The life he once felt is no more. Shirogane was left to do only one thing, which he looked down into the tar now that they were at least up to his chest, faces of all those who fell victim to this insane power. Some of those faces he did recognize, faces of his clan members. His head would tilt back to look into the sky for the last time. The mask that was to defined his character shattered, at the least the rest of it. His face is fully exposed to the barrier that still surrounds this place.
"Mother.......Am I still pathetic?" would been his final words.
