Among many Third Seats, Arashi is beyond the considered group that represented this rank. He did it well, being a member of Squad 13 since he graduated the Academy. Unlike many, he is the only member of his Squad at the moment that has respectfully unlocked the skill of Bankai. Not many know of these feat, other than the Head Captain and a few other Captains of the Gotei 13. Recently, Arashi participated in the test in order to become the Captain of Squad 13. He had hope to pass with flying colors, as he had done when he graduated from the Academy, though, even from that point it was no walk in the park. However, the Captains exam is whole other level far more difficult than Arashi anticipated! For the first couple of hours of his day, Arashi remained alone with in his Quarters. His Zanpakuto resting upon his lap and his hands resting upon her. His eyes were closed as he sat with hiss legs crossed beneath him. The room illuminated by a two candles on either side of him.
"Oh Arashi, for such an innocent smile, you can not hide your disappointment and frustration. You did your very best." Hoshizora's kind and gentle voice wasn't enough, at least at the moment. Though his genuine smile remained, his eyes were completely closed. His head lowered to reflect upon his own actions and what could have been done. Suddenly, he sprung to his feet, grasping his Zanpakuto in mid-motion as he exits his inner world!
"Thank you, Hoshizora." He placed his Zanpakuto on the side of his left hip, between the obi-sash and Hakama. He took a seat once he approached the small table next to his bed and immediately started pouring him a cup of tea while his thoughts passed. There was no Captain to lead his squad nor any immediate Vice-Captain for that matter. As everyone should, they looked to Arashi being the next highest rank with in Squad 13. Naturally it gave him chance to work and develop his leadership skills for the role of Captain.
A knock came to his door...
Arashi turned his head, looking back through his peripheral vision.
"Yes," he answered.
"We need you outside, there is a little dispute between our newer members..." Arashi stood up with a cup of his famous
Aotsuki(Bluemoon) Tea! He immediately took a sip from it as he started towards the paper doors, sliding it open with his left hand.
"The same two, I presume?" The male nodded, dropping his gaze with a heavy sigh to follow.
"They just can't seem to get along... Its always something about who is better or who will become the future Captain of this Division." Arashi nodded and proceeded to follow him to the scene...
Upon arriving not only a few minutes later, Arashi could feel the evident high levels of tension in the air. They were ready to brawl! Both men had their swords drawn, wielding them respectfully with two hands.
"You think you are a hot shot, because you are better at Kido. You can kiss my shiny white ass with that bullshit! I'll punch you in the mouth before you could even speak a word!" As a rebuttal,
"please your skills in Hakuda can't even compare to a toddler! Your punches will never touch me let alone even reach me,T-rex built ass boy!" Their anger flourished, but every other member that surrounded these two had noticed Arashi. Immediately, they backed away...
"That's enough you two..." The both of them turned, instantly backing off and sheathing their swords. This had been the fifth time these two had gotten into it and quite frankly it will not be the last time. Everyone was tired of their bickering, verbal abuse towards one another!
"Since you two wish to get under each other skin so much, then you both can spend the rest of the day cleaning everyone's Quarters. Please, I would hate to have to get physical with either one of you. However, if there is a problem, then please let me know now..." Arashi gave them both a warming smile, but his eyes slowly opened up to reveal a gaze that meant business. Everyone with in his Squad respected him highly, due to his efforts and notoriety among them, Keeping everyone in line as much as possible. His gaze was enough to make the two comply, they all understood the strength that Arashi had, even though he rarely showed it. He rarely needed to, since he is or rather was on the road to Captaincy...
"Ashi." A nickname that he allowed all of his comrades to call him.
"Hm?" He took another sip of his tea.
"How did the test go, did you pass?" Everyone was silent, awaiting the answer... He lowered his tea from his lips...
"No. However... It is far from the end. The next time it comes around, I will pass."
Despite the news being in fact disappointing to his comrades, they did not falter in their respect and admiration towards Arashi Suta. They trusted him and in his words they held belief towards them. In fact, they would even help him in whatever he needed to gain the rank of Captain of Squad 13.
"Even without the Haori, Ashi, we consider you a great leader. So when it is a official, we all will welcome you. Right!?" Everyone raised their hands, shouting in union.
"RIGHT". The smile on Arashi's face grew even bigger, his determination to get to his Goal of Captain even more set in stone.
The area would've cleared out a bit and would allow ARashi to get back to his Quarters to handle business...
