Small green leafs drifted in the breeze, on light brown trees of the calm day. The sun was half way through the sky. The clouds, finally drifting their way to blanket the Northwest of Seireitei in calm, cool, shade. Almost all was clam in the Districts, almost. Some say he lost it, Others say he is brooding. Either belief is overshadowed by the truth. Jinnosuke Ueku, a clown of a person. Two months ago had proved to Nibui that he was worthy enough to lead their division. Proving to Jinno that he still had the strength to push forward. However, in his victory, Jinnosuke, was not happy. It was a sham win over Nibui. The boy had simply given up to Jinnosuke's determination. For this, Jinnosuke punished himself.
Complaints from Eleventh Division and those near, even shinigami just passing by. The last two months have been filled with nothing but the thunderous sounds of clashing, thudding, roaring, every other sound a destructive force could make. Deep within the Eleventh Division, Jinnosuke had locked himself dramatically into the underground training chamber. Closely designed like many other false spaces that exist. He was able to unleash his destruction willingly and fully. So he did, for two months, Jin raged and dismantled all inside that room. The only person to remotely know what was going on was Rin Takenashi. They stood near and endured the noises coming from the room below. To what it mattered, any time they were asked about it. They simply shrugged and told them to move along.
There they sat for two months as Jinnosuke 'did what he did inside the training bunker. The sun filtering in from the windows near to them, as the clouds drifted over the sun and then out of it's view. There they sat and wondered, what was truly going on in that bunker. What was going on?
Two Months Ago;

Jin had returned from central, On his way back he re-wrapped Ikari and left it near the training room entrance with Rin, He told her to stand near it and not let anyone try and lift it up. Jin's chest still bleeding slightly from Nibui's blade piercing his left breast. He avoided and ignored Captain Nakamoto no matter the cost. He claimed he wanted the wound to scar and be a reminder of this failure as well. Although confusing they let the man be, as his shift in attitude was causing worry. Once back to the barracks, Jinno wondered the halls until he found the door to his room. Turning it, he walked in. His feet almost dragged to the chair in front of a small fire place. Throwing some wooden logs in he set it ablaze with his matches he used to smoke. Once the fire was roaring, he stood and went to fetch his kettle and some water. Filling it up and throwing a hand full of herbs into the water, he would then add a few pouches of dark leafy almost crimson colored tea. Returning to the fireplace, He latched the kettle in place and let it start to heat up.
Sitting down he plopped and let out a large sigh. 'You did it, dumb-ass stop being so broody.' He thought to himself. His sigh turning into a sneer he suddenly reached out into the fire grabbing the embers of what once was a wooden log. Without a sound or grunt of pain he shoved the embers into the pierced spot on his torso.
SZZZZzzzzz.......
Jinnosuke's flesh seared and cauterized, the blood, new and old fuming off his bronze flesh. Taking his hand and the embers away, he duped them back into the fire place. The stab wound now a small mound of bubbly flesh in the shape of a tiny 'X' He would then return to his shelves and find a large black tea cup. Stepping in one stride back over to his chair, he sat and waited for the pot to boil. A few seconds drifted by, the smell of flesh finally wafting out of the room. Whiiiiiiieeee! Steam huffed out of the end, making Jinno react by grabbing the handle of the pot. Gently he dipped it forward into his large black cup. Emptying the entire pot into the cup. There jin took a single sip as the steam piled up over his face and head. " Mmm... That's some good stuff. Okay, Time to get to work. " Jin took the cup in hand and steadily walked out of the room. Heading over to the training bunker once more. He looked at Rin; "" Rin, As your new Lieutenant your first order is to watch this entrance, I am going in here and if one person enters while i am meditating. I will kill them. " Jin would then grab his Zanpakuto with his free hand and walk down into the bunker. There he would seal the door behind him with, pointing his hand at the door Jinnosuke would start to speak in a hushed voice, focusing his massive reiatsu into the spell. "Carriage of thunder, bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six....." From his index finger, a spark of yellow energy would emit out, summoning six thin, wide beams of light that slam into the door to the training bunker holding it shut. The hinges and lock, and any moving parts, all pierced by the kido.
"Hope nobody finds out i cast that... Might have to kill them. " From there he would slam his cup of tea and walk out to the middle of the constructed cavern. This one was made after a dojo so the floors were wooden with large paper walls going up till one looses sight. The roof nigh invisible in distance, one is only to see a large black abyss above. Jin would then take Ikari, his Zanpakuto, and release his spiritual pressure, fully. The wood floor immediately peeling up and nearly disintegrating in his wake. The paper screen walls flexing away from him and bending to form a near dome shape, yet not giving due to the strength of their construction. The bandages on his blade explode into shreds and fall to the ground, yet before they reach their destination are eaten away with Jinnosuke's forceful reiatsu.

The ground with it's many cracks now, sundered under the weight of his pressure. Taking his Zanpakuto in both hands, He would take stance with it. Holding it with the blade covering most of his body. Parallel with him now, Jin would press his forehead against the blade. Instantly his surroundings would change, his outer world swelling around with his Reiatsu. Here he would enter Jinzen (刃禅, Sword Meditation), and enter his Inner world. Instantly the black abyss of ceiling would slowly form the faces of those in Jinnosuke's past. The floor under him would emerge giant purple faces as well. The screen walls gaining deep shadows with each layer of texture that overhangs. Illuminated from a eclipsed sun in the distance the walls soon faded to black as the inner world stretched on and on for infinity.

Smoke falling from nothing, descended down next to Jinnosuke. However with Ikari, something else came. Usually when they speak Ikari comes and they share a brief yet grim conversation and then Ikari leaves the same as it came. Yet today, in this instance. Ikari continued to allow this black smoke to fill Jinnosuke's mind. Until he was clouded in the thick black viscous almost liquid reiatsu of Ikari. The ink like substance filling Jin's nose and mouth choking him. He tried to cough yet nothing came from it, no noise, no struggle. He put his hands to his throat ready to claw at it if he had to.
" Breath..." Ikari said in the spill of black. Jinno tried again, inhaling deep ignoring the fact that he felt like drowning. He drew breath, it was fine, he was breathing now. His body relaxed as he looked and waded through the black nothing to try and find Ikari. " Where are you, Ikari?" Suddenly Jinno thumped into something solid. The thick metallic feeling and spike point stabbing into his body told him it was Ikari. " I can't see anything." Ikari would place it's hand on Jinnosuke's shoulder it's skull face coming near to his own, yet he would never know. " Then, open your eyes..." Jin would raise an invisible brow in the black nothing, lifting an unseeing eye towards the hand, or what ever it was, clasping his head. Sighing deeply, he would try and do as Ikari said. He flexed his eye muscles and even held the lids open with his fingers yet everything was still black.
"Okay, What's the deal. I still can't see anything... Ikari you're pissing me off."
" This is because you are looking while hiding. Stop hiding, It is time to accept who you are. You are not a fool, stop parading us around like a butter knife and show them who you are."
Ikari's voice boomed within the darkness.
Hundreds of years ago.
He had been running for hours. His body felt like giving out. He couldn't give up yet though, he had to finish what he started. The blade he had stolen off the shinigami they jumped was soaked in red. Drip after drip a trail of murder followed the young man as he engaged in combat. Untrained, ruthless, savage, he slaughtered those who tried to reason with him, yet he continued on his rampage. In this day and age, Jinnosuke was set on freeing the district of Rukongai he lived in. The shinigami there gave no care how they lived while they stay behind their giant walls. Those in the farthest reaches of the Rukongai suffer in purgatory. No more. Suddenly the blade he had stolen shifted, changed with his intent. The cleaver of The Devil Jin continued to slay that night.
A flash, a brief memory. A small extract of who Jinnosuke once was. The memory caused him to flinch in the darkness. He swiped at the memory, shouting back at it. "NO! That isn't me anymore!" Ikari's hand would reach out again grasping Jinnosuke by the face and dragging him back to the memory. " What's Changed? " Ikari whispered back. Jinno stared at himself in the past. Less scars, but over all Ikari was right, it was almost like looking in a mirror. He hadn't really changed at all, just hidden away his murderous intent and ill will towards others. Parading around and acting like something he wasn't. He then thought back to all his failures recently. None of them were taken serious. He wasn't taken serious. Swelling with anger, true anger, Jinnosuke's inner world started to tremble. This reverberation even being felt in the Seireitei, as he fumigated his inner world with his massive reiatsu and reiryoku. Finally he would relax, and ease his muscles.
" What must i do to change. I can accept i am weaker trying to hide myself and my intentions. I need to be the strongest, I have to be. To protect the bonds i've made. The real ones." His mind would flash the faces of those of the Eleventh Division, Of Lieutenant Yagure, Jiro, Captain Kojima, Captain Nakamoto, Lieutenant Hageshi, and a few others that he has grown to care for. Suddenly the endless dark around him faded. The smoke lifting. Slowly he could see the destroyed crater of purple faces underneath him. The smoke wafting up into the abyssal sky of masks looking down on him. Ikari would be standing in front of Jinno with his Sealed Zanpakuto in hand. Without warning she rams it into him, piercing him with the wide and blunt blade.
" Then Accept who you are. "
Jinnosuke recoils when his blade is pierced through him, yet it doesn't hurt. Ikari's thick black and spiked plate armor slowly starts to fade with the smoke as well now. He reached for the handle of his blade, and there parts of the blade start to crack and smoke as well. The armor and the fat chunks of blade that make up his sealed sword fizzle and hiss until there is almost nothing of the giant blunt blade left. Inside his abdomen , Jinnosuke is now pierced not by his hunk of metal, but by a blade he had not seen in hundreds of years.
0777d43c222c3ce39e5e4941cfe72324.png

Ikari itself. or as he now can say, Her self. Is no longer a menacing knight with a skull face, but a short woman with Oni like marks on her body, and two small horns jutting from her head. She walks over to Jinnosuke and smacks him in the chin with a lightning fast jab. " You gonna keep that there, might be a problem for the long term, heh. Now, let's begin! " Ikari's voice was higher pitched, almost comical. As if their personalities had just swapped. Jinno would look up with a new seriousness in his eyes. A piercing gaze that gave no footing. A single chuckle cracked from his throat as he ripped Ikari from his torso. The blade was lighter, and sharper, he gave it a thrust. With the single action, with out any thought behind the blow. Jin thrusting the blade forward generated enough force to send a crack throughout the inner world. The force rumbling the world and shaking it at it's core.
" Let's get started."
" Ban....Kai!!!!!"

His inner world faded, He was back in the falsely created dojo. Yet Ikari's manifestation remained. She was now in the physical world with him. There she would waft out her hand, forming a single Katana, black like a zanpakuto. From then they would clash, fighting endlessly. Shaking the bunker and the Eleventh Division as a whole. Jinnosuke firing intense and massive blasts out of his entire body. It being crushed under the weight of it once more. A familiar feeling now. Upon further inspection one could see, that from the force inside Jinnosuke was almost rupturing the binding from it's held place. Deep cracks forming around the entrance to the bunker, often times scaring people nearby. Continuing for a consistent two months with out pause.
09269b1f06fda0a4aed6f629ad0f73fe.png

Finally, The sounds had stopped. Smoke and other visible trails of heat could be seen waving up into the sky in fume like patterns. The new found silence was almost unnatural. For two months the sounds equivalent to construction rang through the compound of Eleventh Division. Inside, Jinnosuke would finally come to a stop. His Bankai dismissing and flaking into the air as particles of light. Crumbling from it, he would step out and collapse instantly. Ikari catching him and holding him up. He smirked and swung his blade for a final time. The force of the single handed swing off to the side, quaking the world once more, smearing half of the created training dimension from it's existence. The result was a large explosion of smoke from the entrance to the bunker. Using his Sealed Zanpakuto as a cane, Jinno with Ikari's help walked over to the door. There his kido was finally dismissed, and he unlocked the door by having Ikari kick it from it's hinges. Sending it flying out into the open area in front of the Bunkers entrance. Sending it hurtling over Rin's head as it flew and crashed into the side of the Barracks main community hall. There Iakri would fade from the physical world, and Jinnosuke would start to crawl from the bunker.
The first thing apparent aside from the door and wall needing to be replaced, was a funky odor wafting into the air. visible fumes would cascade from jinnosuke's tattered body. All of his bones were broken, he had dirt and blood smeared all over himself. His Pompadour was a mess, nearly flat and matted. Most surprisingly he had a beard on his face as well. Unshaven and mangy he would grab for anyone. " I...I.. Need... Captain... Nakamoto.... Now...."
Form there, many unseated members would rush to him. All of them grabbing his body slowly and taking him off to the Divisions medical area. Which was mostly empty except for a poor shinigami sitting at the desk. They laid Jinnosuke down and had someone rush off to find the Medical Captain immediately. As they were rushing out; Jinnosuke caught there arm; " Tell him... I need... A Makeover...and that.... A..A..All my bones are broken.... Again..." Coughing he would lay back and rest while he could. The ones there would start to bandage him up, while they waited for Captain Nakamoto would sigh in worry as they worried.

Without waiting around any longer than he had to. He dashed off after helping put some bandages on Jinnosuke to hold him in place as they awaited real medical help. The boy was lightning fast and silent to boot. His weight gliding over the roof tops as he headed his way like a lavender lightning bolt striking through the Seireitei. Not caring who he almost bumps into or what crashed over as a result of his reckless speed, he simply waved a medical white flag, signaling to those on duty that it was a medical emergency.
His feet carried him out of the 11th and over the walls of the Seireitei towards 4th Division.

Arashi Suta is the first to step out, followed by Captain Oda. Kyomu recognizes the difference in the air around them, a change in the very reiryoku that flows through their body. It was a change that was undoubtedly shared with his Lieutenant as well.
His Lieutenant
Pools of muddy Amber gaze at the trembling and timid Yasu. Seeing her in such a state, it was unlike the little troublemaker, well outside her typical character. Had something happened? For a moment he shoots a glance towards the deformed Kurotsuchi, his eyes slightly more narrowed.
Oof
He glances down at the weeping mess of a girl as she collides into him. He stares down at his Lieutenant. For all her pranks, antics and the trouble that she caused — despite being a constant headache and thorn in his side, in this moment she appeared only as a weak little girl. He stares at her, and to the untrained eye, his face remains cold and impassive. It took a discerning eye, and one well acquainted with the man to notice the fleeting softness in his gaze as he looked at her.
He rests a gentle hand atop her crown of pink, brushing her messy and longer mane...before proceeding to shove her off of him.
”Enough. Move before you stain my haori.”
He practically snarls as he pries her off of him. The bumbling Lieutenant’s sleeve becomes her tissue, used to wipe and clean her face of the tears and snot. As she cleans her face her stomach rumbles and growls like a mountainous beast. Kyomu could only stare at the girl.
Yasu blinks, her face much like her mind...a blank. It is only moments later that she launches herself towards her Captain once more, grubby hands fishing through his pockets and haori, plundering all manner of discreetly placed snacks and treats from their respective places...much to the chagrin of her Captain. Gorging herself on her ill gotten spoils, the Lieutenant pauses only to skip her way towards the hunchback, presenting him with a small portion of what she had plundered in silent thanks for all he had done.
The scientist stares into his still open palm holding the scattered treats, and his eyes once more blink out of sync, one after the other.
As Yasu returns to his side, the Phantom glances behind him as Katsuo Oda approaches. Like himself, Katsuo had been housed within the barracks of the Twelfth Division. Kyomu glances at the blonde boy, then shoots his eyes back towards his fellow Captain. Like night and day, the Oda brothers couldn’t be any more different. As the younger Oda prattles on, Kyomu briefly rests his hand on the shoulder of his Lieutenant. Glancing down at her he shoots his eyes towards the hall. It was time for them to leave.
He offers no words or gesture of parting to any of those present around him. He moves quietly, tugging his Lieutenant along by will alone, expecting the bubblegum haired brat to follow his lead. He moves through the halls with the familiarity of a member of the Twelfth.
Yasu had survived...and he had finally passed the once unbreachable walls of the Twelfth Division. Though his movements were limited on exactly where he could and could not travel, he had at least gotten inside. Perhaps after this, having been a constant presence around them, future access would become somewhat easier. He’d save the testing of waters for another time.
He says nothing throughout their walk, and finally for the first time in months, Yasu is greeted by the outside. Still, Kyomu does not pause or slow his steps, continuing forward. Though his eyes remain steadfast, he discreetly scans and scopes the area for the spiritual pressure of any and everyone present within a hundred meters. He gauges the distance between them and each signature he finds, regardless of how weak.
”Yasu-”
It isn’t until they’ve reached fifty meters out does Kyomu finally choose to break the silence. His voice purposely low, just barely above a whisper.
”What’s your report Lieutenant?”
The Captain asks his subordinate.
”Tell me what happened.”

All she could do was run. Thoughts racing, considering all the ways in which this was wrong. She could see the possibility of losing any squad at all and returning to her life before the Seireitei. She could imagine it clearly. Angry for abandoning them at such a time, she would be refused by both Kyomu and Yasu. He would send back word he wanted nothing to do with her before returning to his injured Lieutenant and forget Kazumi even existed. Just another soul that stepped in and out of their lives while leaving nothing but the smallest footprint to remember her.
Her actions had been unforgivable. There had been no chance to bring her concerns to her Captain with all the events that continued to occur one after the other. Regardless, she should have behaved in a manner more befitting what she not only expected from herself, but also what was expected of her from her Division. She had fallen short repeatedly. There was little reason to expect him to “take her back”. Her life would return to what it had been before she had entered Academy. None of this mattered. It wouldn’t matter if she didn’t try.
Slipping through the area as unnoticeable as possible she sought out any members of Squad 2. With the commotion about her few questioned her presence. Seeking out the barracks of Squad Twelve not a soul looked at her twice. Until she finally reached the door for Squad Twelve. Looming before her she stood for a moment in uncertainty, not knowing if she should knock or move away. The longer she stood there wondering, however, the sooner she had her answer. Calling out to them, she demanded to those inside in a voice that sounded much more certain than she was.
Silence.
She would not allow them to bar her path. Taking her fist ad pounding upon the doors she repeated herself.
”I need to speak with Captain Mukuro as soon as possible.”
Silence greeted her once more until finally, a voice called out. They informed her that neither Kyomu nor Yasu were within the barracks any longer and were returning to Second. She felt only gratitude. Perhaps they pitied her. Perhaps they simply wanted her to go away. Either way, she would be getting her wish.
Spinning on her heel she faced away from the door, turning back to face where she needed to return to once again. For just a moment she was hesitant
What what she say? How could she explain what she barely understood herself? There was no doubt that leaving Second was in her best interest. Her mind had been unprepared for the horrors she had faced up to this point. So why did the thought of leaving make her heart ache?
Hideo.
Nightmare.png

The man had haunted half of her living life. Now he was haunting her once again. Nails bit into skin as her fists clenched. She held such a great confidence in her Captain. Compelled to join for a purpose. That man, when he had died…she had felt nothing. She had felt…relief. It was like ripping a piece of Hideo away from her very soul. She could not allow him to continue to disturb her life. To create more unhappiness for her and those around her. She would conquer him.
A bird fluttered by, singing its sweet song as it roamed the area for a short while. Its silhouette bursting with a bright white as its spread wings shone in the sun it began to fly toward. Staring at it until it disappeared from view she finally moved forward. It was time.
With that, she charged forward, hoping to either meet them along the way or find that they had already arrived. Regardless, the second the woman's eyes landed on her Captain she would make herself heard.

The time to leave, quickly approaches. Katsuo had finally joined the group. Lieutenant Yugure is soon to leave alongside her Captain. Arashi hoever, finds that he could not leave quite yet. His gaze ponders the area. His head is moving to follow suit and finally his focus falls upon his Zanpakuto, resting against the side of his bed. He is quick to grab her by the scabbard with his left hand, but no longer does he feel the need to secure her place among his hip, instead he carries her. It felt good to physically have her in the palm of his hands. The other hand moves swiftly, grasping the handle of his Zanpakuto, drawing but a few inches of the blade. He inspects the collar, the guard and then draws the sword entirely. He rotates it, his eyes trailing the edge and spine of the blade. With a couple twirls, motioning the weapon forward and backward; then effortlessly twirls it behind his back and at the front. He discovers his skills in the area of Zanjutsu has not dwindled too much. He sheaths the blade, seamlessly. No sound occurs.
Arashi turns back, to find Lieutenant Yugure burying her face into the garments of her Captain. Noticeably happy to see him, she sheds tears. Again, his smile broadens a bit and remains even as his eyes travel to Captain Mukuro’s expression. Unchanging. There seemed to be no emotion, no feelings to register. He masked and hid his feelings very well. As expected from the Phantom of Squad two. Having not known much about him, that is what made it difficult to see past his exterior emotions. Though, Arashi’s counterpart is not fooled…
”So, the Phantom of the Soul Society does have a heart after all. Ahahaha!”
”....”

Arashi had nothing to say. Quite frankly, it wasn’t his concern. Even the most silent of individuals, their emotions tend to bleed the most from the inside out. Suddenly, his name is called but through the act of Captain Oda looking in his general direction. Catching this from a side-eye glance, he turned to him promptly. Something is on his mind and he soon voiced and without any trouble at all.
"When we get out of here there is something I want to discuss with you, Suta-san. It's nothing secretive but it does involve a transfer of Divisions. I'd rather discuss such things outside in the fresh air is all."
”Ah, understood, Captain Oda.”

And now comes the time to leave, but of course, the worried Katsuo, delays even that with his constant babbling. Happy to see him as well, and to see that he has been well. However, what of the Squad? What of Oyama? Has all the work been maintained? Has he and Oyama been keeping up with their training? With the potential transfer now weighing on his mind, Arashi had to make sure that the two of them were ready to uphold the values and integrity of Squad 13. Now more than ever…
By now, Captain Mukuro and Lieutenant Yugure would have left. The only thing the two would receive upon their exit is a measly wave from him and along with that, his signature smile. As his attention returned to Katsuo after that brief moment, he would raise his hand in a dismissive fashion at the offer of snacks.
”No thank you, Katsuo. Let's put a hold on this conversation. First I and I am sure Captain Oda here would like to get into some fresh air.”
Katsuo was correct to say that he is talking a little too much. Nonetheless, Ashi understood both his concerns and the effort he has put in everyday during the time they have been here to make sure that he is around when they first woke up. Truly, Katsuo, is a loyal and supportive individual. Sometimes Ashi only wished that he would worry about himself and put a little more faith into others. While his worries and attentiveness towards others needs are well and good, how much of that energy is focused towards himself? If only he showed this same compassion towards bettering himself… How much of an improvement will he make in the future?
Another question for later. First Ashi needed to get outside and discuss this transfer with Captain Oda. He stepped away from his bed, passing Katsuo by and gently taps his shoulder.
”Let’s go, Katsuo.”
Before he would finally exit, he turns and takes a look back at the scientist who spent all his time and energy saving three individuals when he could have just easily turned them all into his little toys.
”Be well, Nyūraku Kurotsuchi.”
With Katsuo sure to follow, Ashi would either be behind Captain Oda at this point or at least ahead of him. No matter, the three of them will find the sunlight. The moment his feet touched the outside, Ashi stood still. His head cocked back allowing his long hair to fall back more, exposing the skin of his face to the air. His nostrils flared, inhaling deeply before he exhaled through his mouth. His sense spreads, and with its vast coverage, he could still sense Captain Mukuro and Lieutenant Yugure far off. However, more than just them is picked up on his radar, nearly every member of the Seireitei comes into the picture.
His eyes opened again, but just slightly. He turned his head to look at Captain oda…
”About this transfer, Captain Oda. What will this entail?”
Surely Katsuo will wish to know the fruits and truth to his older brother’s statement. Why even spring this upon Arashi? Is there a goal that he wished to meet? Already, Ashi figured that it meant him becoming a member of Squad Five. In honesty, he did not mind changing his career. He has been a part of Squad 13 for so long.
So many missions…
Nearly dying….
Bonding with his comrades. Including Katsuo and Oyama…

Yes, those two. A glance to Katsuo becomes apparent… Maybe it is time that he stepped away. Maybe stepping away is the only way right now to ensure that those two grow. They won't have to stand in his shadow anymore. The pressure will mold them or break them… Still…
Is Arashi truly ready to damn near start over? New faces. New tasks. A new atmosphere. Time to hear what Captain Oda had to say at this point… He would see no less than a smile from Ashi, along with his eyes closing once again.
