Minutes turned into an hour as Himari did the same thing on repeat. The screams would start, then stop. Silence. Then start again. Himari said no words to the Maggots as she did this. The sadness of doing this to these men had long gone, she was now just focusing on what she needed to do. She needed to learn this.
She had no time to feel remorse.
She was happy to be doing things hands on. The torture wasn’t towards her this time, it was towards another. That made her focus and now be filled with anger. For the first time since she was here in second, she felt like she could do this. That she could fit in and grow.
It made her feel so much better.
”Ok, that's enough pressure point practice.”
She stops instantly, slowly turning towards Yogen. She hasn’t looked at him since she started. Too focused on what she was doing. She had almost forgotten he was in the room.
Before she could ask him what was next, he tossed a blade to her, which fell and hit the ground.. She looks at it for a moment, before looking back up at him. She raised an eyebrow.
”Time to shift gears a bit. Use the blade, find and knick his arteries. He’ll bleed out fairly quickly but I want you to feel what it means to locate, target and strike those vital areas I spoke about.”
She felt sick again. Here she was finally getting used to doing…this. And now she was going to have to use the blade on someone else again. She recalled her dead eyes as she looked at the pleading man. His pleas went to dead ears as she slashed his throat. She still felt the drops of his blood on her skin. Having been dried now.
Could she do this to another man?
She had to. There was no other choice she could make. This is what she would have to do. She will have to be able to face making choices like this. Not hesitating when she was faced with something like this.she was going to have to be able to do it without thinking. If she wanted to achieve her goal. She was going to have to be able to make a decide without worrying.
She quickly picked up the blade, feeling hot in her sweaty hands. She doesn’t look at Yogen as she walks up to the Maggot. All she could hear was her very own breathing.
She recalls one place that she knew would do the trick. The flash of her striking the man in his kneel, him instantly bleeding out. She knew what would do the trick instantly.
She quickly lifted the blade, before pushing it down right on the side of his neck. She watched as the Maggots eyes widened. She felt the resistance of the blade as it hit the cartridge of the Maggots neck, pushing through to hit his main artery. She looked as his eyes went wide, then they slowly started to lose life. The light slowly leaves.
She then pulls the blade out, blood instantly leaving the wound. The man couldn’t even reach up to his wound, having been bound by his chains. Instead, he closed his mouth like a fish looking for water.
And then he fell to the ground, to his death.

Shinotori Hitsugaya
b35df29f58c27c96f012aa7238fc3970.png

After the quakes occurred again with 2nd division barracks Shinotori Hitsugaya joined a group of agents that were assembled to investigate the situation. After the investigation was over the squad had been ordered to give a damage report to fourth seat Ochitsuki Oda. Shinotori would arrive with the group and let the elders do the talking. Upon meeting up with Ochitsuki he’d acknowledge the presence of Oyama and Utsuro, Oyama had seemed as if she were ready to defend herself. Her being placed on the hilt of her Zanpakuto, suspicious he thought. However he would leave the situation alone as if it was none of his business and continue to follow orders. However instead of going to the maggots nest right away with the others, Shinotori would wait until Ochitsuki had left and turn his attention to Oyama and Utsuro. Shino was aware that the two might not know as he is quiet most of the time and rarely speaks, however that silence was about to be broken as the young Hitsugaya prepared himself to talk.
“Are you two alright? I noticed you had your hand on your hilt. Most soul reapers only do so when they are preparing to enter combat.” His gentle voice would sooth the minds of those who listened to him as his words came out smooth and soft. Shinotori’s kind nature reflects in voice as well. Some would say he was a softy by the way he looked and talked, but in truth the young man truthfully lacks the emotions to fear getting angry or scared.
With that said he’d worry if one of the two would speak up and explain their situation, although they had the right not to. Shino hasn’t always been the best at communicating with others either, although he is alway looking to be helpful. If neither were willing to be open about the situation at hand he would simply leave and continue on to investigate the Maggots Nest with the other agents. Time was of the essence and the young shinigami didn’t have much time to waste as they needed to find out the sources of the earthquakes. With every quake that passed they grew stronger and more aggressive. To Shino it felt as if something were trying to crawl out of the ground rather than plates shifting. Still barracks remained in tack, however he worried that the next one would start to cause actual damage or how soon it may occur.
As thought transpired throughout the young Hitsugaya’s mind his facial expression would remain completely blank as if nothing was bothering him. Despite actually feeling something the young man had the ability to remain calm in any situation, still he had hoped that Oyama and Utsuro didn’t feel threatened by him. He had no intention in harming them. He’d wait for a response hoping that the two would think of him as a threat.

The tone and berating of Utsuro was something interesting, as this was the most, she’d ever really see the Oda talk, but it was rather dull to her, enough so that her thoughts wondered. Yet Oyama had been the one paying attention to every little bit that was spewing out from his mouth; waiting to react to any sudden movements. Once he got to speak Furia’s name in the same manner, in which Furia’s thoughts went blank, to the point where both Oyama could hear the buzzing of Furia’s head, similar to a tenuities.
“Are you serious right now?”
“Huh? Wha? He’s talking too much I was kinda hoping he would jump us so I could have an excuse to stab him with the Blood Panda”
“Well he still cou-”

Furia’s hand rose up in the room both Oyama and Furia occupied, as she quickly snapped back to Ochitsuki’s Eye her and her hand on the blood panda’s hilt.
“I am not that weakling who is an Oda in name only, you WILL fear me.”
“Will see about that.”

Her grip tightened around the hilt of her Zan, readying to pull it out from the sheath in to clash against the man.
“That being said, if you put your hand on that blade you had better be ready to use it. Hot air and empty threats are all you are, girl. This exchange will be reported to the Captain upon his return.”
Laughter, laughter of a mad woman came out from Furia, She couldn’t help it as he began to walk away from both Utsuro and herself.
“Hot air and empty threats? Coming from the man who walks away? Another time, when things aren’t as chaotic, and when you don’t have a stick up your ass about people being outside your chambers. Will see who can walk the walk.”
Oyama was certainly impressed, she had been under the assumption that Furia would have attacked him while his back was turned. Yet she didn’t, though that didn’t mean he was going to take her insults lightly, as for that report, even Oyama didn’t seem to concerned about a petty slight. Though she blinked as another member of second would come, to which she would tap the shoulder of Furia.
“Another one.”
“Are you two alright? I noticed you had your hand on your hilt. Most soul reapers only do so when they are preparing to enter combat.”
His voice only served to annoy her rather than calm her, she was ready to fight but now she had been disappointed as the Ochitsuki disappeared. She still intended to send out the messengers as Oyama wanted, even ignoring Ochitsuki suggestion of sending out a hell butterfly, as opposed to a messenger, a double insult to the speed of the messengers and their proses in stealth. So her gaze turned towards Shinotori Hitsugaya, one of annoyance as he truly had no reason to barge into her room; one guest was enough, but having two other unwanted guests was more than enough to draw her ire.
“Leave. Both of you”
It was all she would say as she moved towards the door Oyama threw off, lifting it up placing it back on its railings, before walking out and past the two, closing the door behind her. Once she was passed the she had used shunpo to disappear from their sight. Where she reappeared was the inner court guard’s door, pushing past its doors until she was inside.
“I want a report of any quakes being felt today from our operatives watching over other divisions. No one is to be spotted in doing so, and I would like to know where the hell Ochitsuki Oda is headed too.”
Yes Ma’am

Several voices could be heard, before a good chunk of them disappeared from sight, All of them moving across the Seireitei, using their natural speed and skills to stay hidden from any shinigami in sight to not be seen by any shinigami.

Yogen watched Himari as she stared at the tossed blade. He watched the woman carefully, her thoughts a mystery to him. He could only imagine what the blue haired recruit had been thinking about. Was she not confident in locating the arteries? Maybe she was trying to take her time to recollect all the vital areas she had looked over prior to starting her little practicals. The blonde headed agent has learned patience over the years, a skill obtained from serving under his Captain and living within the shadow of their former Lieutenant. He does not move to rush Himari, allowing her to move at her own pace.
Minutes go by before she finally picks up the blade, her eyes never venturing towards Yogen for questions or support. He watches the girl go to work, similar to most she targets the easiest artery to find, the carotid artery. The blade pressed to his neck, pushing deeper until the edge of the blade pierces flesh and finally meets its targeted goal. While the pumping blood seeps between the blade it isn’t until its removed that it truly becomes a spurting fountain of red. As Himari watches the man, Yogen watches her. He says nothing as she stands there, watching the life fade from his eyes, his body finally slumping lifelessly to the ground.
”Why-”
Yogen’s voice calls out to the mesmerized Himari. Odd, was he about to ask why she killed him? Wasn’t that what she was meant to do? Had she misinterpreted his words somehow? A heavy sigh escapes the man, yet he never leaves from his post on the wall.
”Why did you only target a single artery? I said ``find and knick his arteries``, not find a knick A artery.”
He finally pushes off the wall, walking over towards Himari, or rather the body laying at her feet. He crouches down, grabbing the corpse by his disheveled head, lifting it up, blood still flowing from the wound inflicted on him.
”This practice wasn’t about simply killing him off, but the effectiveness in which you kill. Sure targeting one carotid artery might be easy enough, but what if that doesn’t become possible? It's why you target other areas just in case. I want you to be able to familiarize yourself with those areas, how to locate them, the feeling of successfully and precisely striking them so you’re not limited or caught unaware.”
His fingers unfurl, letting the body drop lifelessly to the ground with a heavy thud.
”If you make it a habit of targeting only the vital areas on the body of your opponent, you add more pressure to them both physically as they are forced to guard those areas or avoid the attacks, and mentally as they are faced with someone targeting only the areas that will cause the most harm and damage, areas that could cost them their life.”
He shakes his head walking back to his spot on the wall, leaving the girl to reflect upon his words. Well, no matter, she still had two more practice dummies at her disposal, and if need be they could always get more. For now, he’d leave her to put into practice everything she had learned in her time with him on the remaining two prisoners turned test subjects for the girl being bred into a killer. Slowly the foundation for her was being paved and laid out, hopefully it was one she could firmly stand upon.

Despite being generous enough to check Oyama. Her attitude towards Shinotori was understandable after she was just confronted by Ochitsuki, the man wasn’t one for genuine conversation. Shinotori would leave Oyama and Utsuro in peace for the time being because he didn't want to disturb them more than they already seemed to be. He would immediately vanish from their site as if he were never there. Shinotori could sense that she was already on edge and didn’t want to provoke a childish fight. His base speed was more than enough to his destination within a matter of seconds. He’d find himself just outside the Maggots Nets, this place was meant for housing criminals and lashing out punishment. At times they would take new recruits there and train them to be ruthless. Before coming here I got word that a new recruit would be training in the Nest. Shinotori had wondered if she was another delinquent trying to gain power, or someone who truly desired to be an assassin like he did. However Shinotori’s emotions remained neutral as he pondered the events going on.
He’d wait outside for just a moment to see if anything strange was going in this area, for now he didn’t sense anything unusual so he’d head inside. Whenever he entered he could sense new recruits location. He’d make his way to her location and wait just outside the door, the young man would knock before entering. He’d find the blonde haired assassin to be leaning on a wall relaxing as he oversaw the new recruits training. Himari on the other seemed to be a bit disturb as just took the life of restrained man, by the look on her face he could tell she still was to green. For now he decided to sit back and observe for now. Placing his straw hat on top of his head, Shinotori leaned against a wall with his arms crossed and waited for the training session to be done.
