Minutes turned into an hour as Himari did the same thing on repeat. The screams would start, then stop. Silence. Then start again. Himari said no words to the Maggots as she did this. The sadness of doing this to these men had long gone, she was now just focusing on what she needed to do. She needed to learn this.
She had no time to feel remorse.
She was happy to be doing things hands on. The torture wasn’t towards her this time, it was towards another. That made her focus and now be filled with anger. For the first time since she was here in second, she felt like she could do this. That she could fit in and grow.
It made her feel so much better.
”Ok, that's enough pressure point practice.”
She stops instantly, slowly turning towards Yogen. She hasn’t looked at him since she started. Too focused on what she was doing. She had almost forgotten he was in the room.
Before she could ask him what was next, he tossed a blade to her, which fell and hit the ground.. She looks at it for a moment, before looking back up at him. She raised an eyebrow.
”Time to shift gears a bit. Use the blade, find and knick his arteries. He’ll bleed out fairly quickly but I want you to feel what it means to locate, target and strike those vital areas I spoke about.”
She felt sick again. Here she was finally getting used to doing…this. And now she was going to have to use the blade on someone else again. She recalled her dead eyes as she looked at the pleading man. His pleas went to dead ears as she slashed his throat. She still felt the drops of his blood on her skin. Having been dried now.
Could she do this to another man?
She had to. There was no other choice she could make. This is what she would have to do. She will have to be able to face making choices like this. Not hesitating when she was faced with something like this.she was going to have to be able to do it without thinking. If she wanted to achieve her goal. She was going to have to be able to make a decide without worrying.
She quickly picked up the blade, feeling hot in her sweaty hands. She doesn’t look at Yogen as she walks up to the Maggot. All she could hear was her very own breathing.
She recalls one place that she knew would do the trick. The flash of her striking the man in his kneel, him instantly bleeding out. She knew what would do the trick instantly.
She quickly lifted the blade, before pushing it down right on the side of his neck. She watched as the Maggots eyes widened. She felt the resistance of the blade as it hit the cartridge of the Maggots neck, pushing through to hit his main artery. She looked as his eyes went wide, then they slowly started to lose life. The light slowly leaves.
She then pulls the blade out, blood instantly leaving the wound. The man couldn’t even reach up to his wound, having been bound by his chains. Instead, he closed his mouth like a fish looking for water.
And then he fell to the ground, to his death.
