Everything has been out of sorts since the Kototsu attack, among other events that took place beforehand. Ever since that day, Shirogane eyes have opened up to the truth and have come to terms with what he must do. What he
HAS to do from here on out. All that time spent on reading, training, plotting, and having time to reflect on himself as to what it means to uphold his duty as a member of this division. He swore his life to this division to uphold its precious laws, something that had been bred into himself since he was but a young lad. Defending the law of the Soul Society has always been his goal, his life, something he would never waver from and shall continue to do so. He failed once before trying to perform his duty and failed.
Shirogane doesn't plan to fail again. Being apart of the enforcement squad, one has to hold onto a moral obligation, absolute values; ethics, integrity, accountability, and honesty are essential values for an enforcer of the Soul Society to possess. At all times, officers of the law, such as Shirogane, must follow the law and departmental regulations. Meaning the use of force must be reasonable and necessary; it’s expected to carry out his duties and responsibilities equitably and justly. Enforcers like Shirogane must not show favoritism or act in a discriminatory manner recognizing that all citizens within the Soul Society deserve respectful treatment regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, national origin, or religion at least that's what he believes.
The code of ethics prohibits dishonesty and corruption. Officers of Division 6 or any division within the Gotei 13 who engage in serious misconduct on duty or in their personal life can face disciplinary action and prosecution. This determination was brought to light after the encounter with the Lieutenant of Division 2 and everything he witnessed three months ago, what made him decide to get even stronger mentally and skillfully, more aware of the ins and outs of the past and the present through reading.
Now it was about saving the future, saving what could prove to be very disastrous if he doesn't act. Allowing these corruptions to go any further would be him not performing his duty. The reason no one takes action besides the Captain of Division 2 is due to the fear of the First Division's power, and they have a right to fear....
HIM. Thinking about it would make Shirogane’s mouth dry, and beads of sweat began to emerge as the power the Commander unleashed on that day made him quiver. What many had forgotten, or perhaps chosen to ignore, was the Commander was a prisoner of the Muken. He was a criminal, however, after much intel and many reports. Shirogane uncovered during his isolation a profound secret that the Commander keeps hidden away, festering within the First Division.
Training wasn't enough to gain power, but what is being harbored there would help see that Shirogane does gain the power needed. Now, as everything been pieced together, it would only make sense why such a man as the Commander was targeted in the first place. He didn't even attempt to aid his people during the attack, which Shirogane views as quite a despicable lack of action. With Kyomu allowed to live, another criminal remains as Captain, and the operating squad of assassins hasn't been reprimanded for their actions either.
Moreso, gaining the confidence of the council had failed each time he tried to get them to be on his side, and killing them was the only answer to moving forward. Simple, but it wasn't part of the initial plot. Nevertheless, Shirogane made sure that their deaths would amount to something if anything, it helped him for the better. Spending all that time within a month, rounding up the remaining clan members, even children to be confined, locked away from the outside with him while also taking a page out of
"HIS" book, holding onto the research closeby. Making sure to use this new position as Head for all the right reasons. The unique agreement his noble family has with the Captain Commander would prove to be useful after all. Fundings from the Kuchiki house all go to the Seireitei in exchange for staying out of their affairs, or instead, Head Captain Murasaki doesn't monitor their actions. Which gave all the leeway he needs to proceed, so long as no suspicion comes his clan’s way.
An individual who has appeared within his presence. Arashi Suta, Division 13 member. He doesn't quite understand what made him show up in his presence right now of all days. He already sensed his presence entering the compound of Division 6 the moment he had stepped foot into the radius, the sound of his steps were precise and quick. The tone of his muscles tensed up as he moved and focused on performing flash-step. The scent of his smell was something putrid. He's the first-ever to come to see him, or is there some particular reason for him being here? Perhaps looking for someone that he believes Shirogane holds the answer too, it isn't every day someone decides to come here unless they were under orders to do so.
"What can I do for you, Arashi Suta? What brings you to my division?"
Direct and to the point, the Head of the Kuchiki wasn't looking to spare any efforts with pointless small talk. Still, he wanted to observe what type of individual Arashi is, he could prove to be someone of use. One of the many whose eyes could be opened to the truth with the right choice of words to persuade him to his side. There wouldn't be any lies, no poison that would spew from his lips. But sharing what his truth is, sharing only what he needs to hear, only when the time is right if he seems to be capable of handling an eye-opening revelation. The key to performing manipulation is playing the cards right and reading people. Understanding what makes them tick and see the best approach for getting this person to his side. From what he could tell already, Arashi is a very calm, open-minded individual, someone who isn't easy to sway like some individuals. Furthermore, Shirogane must tread lightly for those who are too invested with the system of the Gotei 13, as they can pull away and do something irrational. A huge risk to take, but Shirogane had prepared for the worst, and even if he must slay Arashi until things unfold, then it will be so.
Arashi would come to the full appearance of an individual clad in black attire of a standard shinigami robe. The only addition is the Kuchiki scarf that represents authority and status, which signifies himself as the leader of the household. It grants him the influence and power over everyone who holds the name Kuchiki. He should also notice the kenseikan worn on Shirogane's right side, Arashi's left. Though he shared a question to the member of Division 13, he gave one more vertical swing downwards, slicing through the air. Just one final strike with the practice sword before sheathing it into the sash on the right side. Once sheathed, it would be only then that he would truly listen to Arashi's response, staring in his direction blankly, emotionless, and unfazed.
