“Hm. I suppose so. In fact…”
Higen's mellow toned response received a gentle smirk from his 3rd Seat. Above all the things that go on and change within the Soul Society, their tightly sealed bond could never falter. The heavy-footed Captain rose up from his seated position, simply moving his chair out of the way purely from his massive frame. He walked towards Shizuka, standing over the 3rd seat, towering him by multiple inches before saying-
“It’s good I have you here before Ryuga. If you don’t know already we are officially receiving two recruits today. One of which, is already here, in the barracks. That one specifically… is now your responsibility. He must be monitored, closely, and if things get out of hand…”
He took a deep pause and scanned over his surroundings.
"Handle it.”
Shizuka's face gained a slightly confused look upon heeding his captain's words, furrowing his eyebrows upon his initial hearing. Though merely seconds later, he released his disjointed expression and quickly understood the circumstances at hand. Apparently this new Shinigami was a small risk that his Captain felt was worth taking. If he heavily put his trust into Shizuka into dispatching him if he became a threat, then to the 3rd Seat maybe it was not worth too much attention. Which explained the quick attitude shift from him.
"I don't mind looking over him, let's just hope it never gets to that po-"
Higen cutting him off at the end to add onto his statement.
“Oh and at some point—if possible—I wish for you to give him tips on communicating with his Zanpakuto. He still wields an Asauchi.”
Shizuka's facial expression changed to a heavily confused one.... once again.
"You just gonna throw that one in there huh? Having me babysit a guy with no Zanpakuto spirit, alright cool."
Shizuka burst out into small chuckle with his Captain, Higen patting his Shizuka's shoulder with a sly grin knowing of his weird transgressions he placed on his 3rd Seat. He never failed to give Shizuka even more responsibility than he wanted. Sub-sequentially, after a few seconds they hear footsteps creeping by, and immediately he notices it's their fellow member Ryuga entering the premises.
“Welcome back Captain! Chise told me tha-.."
Shizuka's Denreishinki vibrates relentlessly in his pocket, drawing away his attention from his fellow seated member. His ulterior thoughts on who it may be drowning out the ensuing conversation between the three. During Higen's words he sifts through his pockets for his communication device. Could it be from his ongoing convoy from his Living Task Force agents or from his heartwarming "friend" Blume? He expeditiously opens up the device to a text saying
"Don't get into another fight.
I don't like it when you get hurt.
I'll always free up some time for you. ^^"

Immediately anyone in the room intently looking at Shizuka would notice the vibrant change in his facial expressions. His eyes widened up and his cheeks began to display a red blemish over them. He tried to make his expression subtle forcing them to change back instantly to it's normal figure, but he could not hold back his genuine smile. It seemed like the time he was putting in to communicate with Blume was benefiting him. In Shizuka's diluted mind, he could just picture the image of his purple haired maiden begging and asking for his presence around and calling out for his name. Before his thoughts got carried away, he was interrupted by his sharp and intuitive senses.
Elisha-2-Resize.png

Sharp and intuitive? Couldn't be the word used to describe his sensory in this instance though. Due to the fact that the new presence's reiatsu already being a few feet away from the door of Higen's office. Things like that never get past Shizuka's line of sensory, especially when it comes to tackling new presences. It was pitiful on how all it takes was some simply infatuation to throw off his keen senses, mistakes that would simply lead to anyone's downfall in the wrong circumstances.
Shizuka stared directly into his captain's eyes, and saw the inherent determination that lied within them. He was waiting...
Shizuka wondered if this Shinigami was the one whom he prompted about him beforehand. He immediately corrected this though though. He could easily tell from the depth of the Shinigami's reiryoku, it was astonishing to the say the least. It was deep, unbridled, and had room to grow, but it couldn't be the power of someone who hasn't figured out his Zanpakuto. His dampening pressure felt more as if it were a Shinigami who things figured out.
“Don’t be rude. How about you come join us… Gorou"
Higen bellowed loud enough for anyone in the near vicinity to hear, and especially for the man outside to hear himself. All Shizuka could think to himself was what did this mysterious soldier have in store for them today.

The exchange between both Kiku and Shusuke was awkward with their fist bump, and even Akarui could feel that secondhand embarrassment coming. However, they’d finally gotten over their own version of power-scaling one another with looks, and Rui tapped away at the rod of her staff, intricately observing as Shusuke was the first to make a move. However, with the response intended, she’d already known the victor that would come out of this sparring session. Without the intent to kill, there was no use of sparring in the first place. It was a matter of respect, to give it your all, even against your peers. While members of the First Division could not injure any shinigami outside of the Eleventh Division in a spar hard enough to send them to the Fourth, they performed diligently to offer a private lesson with every offer and request.
Eyes on Kiku in his response, watching the lazy bum casually fall back against the grass and parry blade against blade was admirable, especially from such a low and limited position. The childish spin and vicious kick one of the oddest combinations, but efficient to an unsuspecting fighter. Coming to watch Kiku upright himself, Akarui was pleasantly enjoying her time in the shade. Though she would never admit it aloud, she wished she could relax every once in a while, but her code of honor overpowered any sort of luxury. Feeling the soft breeze brush against her skin, she could only bask in the gentle heat of the day and listen to the sound of iron clashing against iron.
The sound of something solid hitting a tree caused Rui to open one eye and peer out f her peripherals at the disintegrating blade, and her ears perked up as the handle clattered against the solid ground. Meanwhile, in front of her, both Shusuke and Kiku became shielded from her sight. Most would panic, but Rui could feel their movements through the vibrations, and nothing was too far out of line.
“I… miss Yami.”
The declaration came out in a quiet whisper and the rabid midget could be seen with a look far from angry. A small frown, and even as she looked in the direction of the combatants, her thoughts were far away as she thought of that other mountain within the First Division. A walking block of meat from head-to-toe, with a lifestyle similar to hers, Yami Mochizuki was a member of the Commander’s Elite Trio, and the only one out of the three of them that would dare to give her the time of day. At any chance she got, she would attack him, and begin another one of their many thousand sessions within the First Division.
One of the many rumors that circulated in her time since joining the upper ranks was that she attacked Yami while he was in the restroom and that was what the reason for the broken toilet was, but in reality, one of those extras had clogged the drain and busted it in an attempt to fix it. When Kiku got word of the rumor, she didn’t hear the end of it for nearly fifty years. Annoyance grew and Rui managed to find something to think of before she jumped into the fight and interrupt for that reason alone.
Yami would return soon, hopefully. It’d been just over two years since she’d last seen him after he was assigned elsewhere by the Commander. Akarui could only watch silently as her only joy left, and never knew when he’d return. It felt like one of those moments where wives watch their husbands go to war and stare longingly out the window. Disgust formed and she shook her head violently.
“Me? A wife? I’ve been alive for this long and not one man has the balls to pop a question like that.”
Her attention fell back on Kiku and Shusuke. Lifting her head up, even Rui couldn’t deny that Kiku was well-built. Heat rushing to her cheeks, she hoped that her furrowed brows could play it off as just another livid reaction to being stuck here, watching as they bumped chests and flexed their muscles away. Kiku was the first to cast a kidō and watching these pillars multiply without effort was always a sight to see.
“It’s over.”
Rui stretched her arms overhead and hadn’t bothered to look at anything past Kiku’s casting, listening idly to the impact against all within sight. Even hearing the desperate attempt of kidō performed by Shusuke would end up in vain. Versus the hundred pillars of light, a still man would find nothing but the ground in his less than valiant efforts. Watching the dust settle, Rui removed herself from the boulder and in her hands, the red spear melted away and turned into an epee, a weapon of western-make, a sight far rarer than the Captain-Commander. Kiku had finally made his way to her as she holstered her blade away, and she looked in the direction of Shusuke, pinned against a tree like a holiday decoration.
Thinking of getting him down, she gave a soft shrug and figured one of his division members would help him eventually. Conversing with the Kiyoshi boy was out of her plans, but even she knew that all he wanted was to make a possible clan alliance. She didn’t need that. The Gekkō Clan was out of sight and out of mind so long as Akarui was the Clan Head. By Shusuke’s question from the beginning of her affiliation, it was clear that the boy was in over his head.
“Ready to go Ruirui-chan? I could go for five servings of lunch, right about now.”
Food… At the mention of lunch, as if on cue, Rui’s stomach grumbled and she only hoped that Kiku was too busy addressing Shusuke to pay attention to her. However, despite her demeanor against his lazy actions, she offered nothing but a nod. Food was good, and Rui wouldn’t disregard an offer for lunch so long as she wasn’t the one paying for it. Kiku was the first to take his leave after letting the Sixth Division member know of his enjoyments, faults and what he could capitalize on further. Rui’s blank look was all that was offered, and she quietly trailed after Kiku. With her short legs compared to his, she had to move a bit quicker just to catch up.
Eyes ahead, Rui’s attention was only swayed when she felt Kiku’s eyes on her and she prayed that he wouldn’t ask anything-
“Hey, You feeling fish for lunch? The Manor is destroyed and those massive golden fish are probably gonna die anyway. Wanna... Fry some?”
“...Hah?”

Idiot…
Clenching her little fists so tightly, Rui managed to burst a seam of her white gloves. Without another word, Akarui had drawn her blade out so quickly that the sound of the thin and flexible blade hadn’t even made a sound when drawn out. In one motion did she draw the weapon out and whip her arm so viciously against Kiku’s lax posture and continue her assault where she stood or in a chase against the idiot janitor.
“OF ALL…
THE THINGS…
YOU CAN THINK OF…
IT’S FISH…
FROM THE…
MANOR!?”

Seven violent swipes of a toxic blade and then even more if he had the audacity to not accept her rage. Just when she thought that he was getting better, Kiku Shunkan managed to destroy his image over and over again with her. Not that he cared in the first place.

Shu whipped the yellow rope bakudo in his swords hilt, wrapping and warping it to bend and twirl to his will to block the incoming Hyporankan, they still multiplied by the second with every passing block from Shusukes own Kido, he couldn't stop the remaining light rods that flew towards his direction. He figured that this may be the end of this very brief sparring session, soon finding himself pinned against the tree with his zanpakuto by his feet. He looked down at it but never at it. Just hung his head in shame. He listened as he was approached by the 1st Division member, who felt the need to give him combat advice after dispatching him in probably slightly more time than the Captain if 4th had long ago. He didn't listen, he was too focused on wallowing in his own unsatisfaction and seemingly terrible fighting skills.
He left himself bound by the Kido until Kilu had left and the rods had faded away. Sliding down from the tree trunk he picked his blades up and slid them into they're rightful homes and sighed deeply...he wasn't proud of his recent performance in combat as of late. A capable fighter he knows, but he couldn't seem to win very much of anything lately. He began walking about, thinking of how much he really deserved to be in the position he was in, was he even truly strong? Did he even have what it took to be a Shinigami anymore? Where did his resolve leave off to? Finding himself more questions than answers, Shu was afraid that he was nearing his limit in powers which only meant that he was never meant to do the things that he would've liked to in life.
He stopped walking and pondered this thought for a moment. What if he was never meant for this life? A puzzle no doubt, he had dedicated his entire life to serve the Gotei and become something more than himself. Only to fail nearly every time, it dawned on him and became an unshakable thought. He wanted it to be in his every being to be apart of the Gotei, but was he not cut out for his aspirations? He would need to find his answer. Taking off again, now leaving the barracks of his division. Where is he going? Is this the last we see Shusuke Kiyoshi?

The smell from Ryuga fills the room as he walks in with a faint stench of cigar and alcohol, more like whiskey. And the smell makes Ryuga regret that he had not showered but how would he know that their captain would come back today. So instead he tries to ignore the scent he gives off and after this gathering he intends to make himself fresh again. The man is listening as his captain speaks in a deep and powerful voice about two new recruits. And slowly would Ryuga raise both arms and places them behind his head, taking a relaxing stance.
Thank you, Ryuga. Ah yes. The two of you are here in preparation for a brief welcoming for our newly enlisted members. Both of which, could be present here at any given mo..
And before Higen could finish his sentence, he stops speaking and his face looks more serious than before as a new and powerful reiatsu could be felt just a few feet away from the other side of the door. And slowly, does Ryuga turns around with his arms still placed behind the head.
I guess this has to be one of the new recruits he talked about, I have to say he wears a powerful reiatsu to be new.
Ryuga thinks to himself and then lowers both arms as he lets them hang along his body. Although the right hand is placed on the handle of Zanpakutō. because Ryuga trying to always ready for anything. Not being quite sure if this is really the reiatsu from one of the recruits that Higen talked about. The reiatsu seemed to come from one who wanted to show that he or she was there or a true novice.
“Don’t be rude. How about you come join us…Gorou”
Again, the powerful voice of Again echoes between the walls of the room. And Ryuga looks straight at the door and doesn't know what is expected to be seen on the other side of the door more than someone that goes by the name Gorou.

There was many things a shinigami could occupy their time with here in the Seireitei. Official work, Training, Enjoying each others company, Being artistic. Many, many, things to do. So when Kiku tells you, and he probably wont, but if her were to tell you. What his, favorite thing to do in Seireitei was. He would have to tell you, it was pestering Akarui. She looked at Kiku disgusted as he made the joke about the fish, even though he was being earnest, he would eat those fish. He knew it was a sacred offence to do so. Knowing Rui would get angry with him. The look on her face was followed closely by the subtle sounds of her gloved fists clenching... and then a tear? Did her glove rip? In this instant Kiku knew he needed to get away from her. His eyes following her hands to her blade, Kiku fluidly dodged away from the draw with his long frame, stepping into a Shunpo without hesitation. Akarui would then scream with each swing at Kiku, Himself having to dance and dash and Shunpo out of reach of each swing.

“OF ALL…
THE THINGS…
YOU CAN THINK OF…
IT’S FISH…
FROM THE…
MANOR!?”

Kiku finally resting on the gate of the Manor, that they had just walked not ten feet away from. " RUI! What's the big idea! You know i'm only joking! You can KILL SOMEONE WITH THAT KIND OF SHIT! Kiku would act out and scream at intervals, falling back into a lazy nonchalant tone when he wasn't screaming. It sounded very sarcastic and dramatic. His arms flailing around until he lay resting on his back over the giant stone awning.
Looking down he would look over and see the last bits of Shusuke fading away as he walked away from his Barracks and the manor compound. Kiku would shrug and then roll off the stone awning and onto his feet. With his hands raised and an occasional prattle forward Kiku would approach Akarui once more. " Okay okay sorry, I know i've pushed a lot of buttons today. So let's go somewhere serious now. I'm too hungry and tired to joke anymore."
Kiku would hope Akarui wasn't going to attack him anymore, he really couldn't keep up at this point. He was so tired he was almost ready to fall over and crash right in the road. Today was unexpectedly longer than he had hoped for. Kiku just wanted to make it through to lunch, then he could sleep at least until dinner. There might even be someone interesting to prank along the way. He would continue walking with Rui, not daring to make any further jokes about the fish she was sworn to protect. Kiku would also let her pick the spot, but he wouldn't ask or tell her too, he would just follow her where she went. Knowing better than to play that word game with Akarui. Then Kiku would pay for their meals without telling her. Today might not be so bad after all.
