Shinigami

A torrent of spiritual pressure filled the barracks of the tenth division. The arrangement to gather seated officers for a brief divisional summit could be felt irrefutably. Tension rose due to Gorou's asocial decision to remain outside the Captain's office. There were approximately three individuals that Gorou could feel inside the walls; one being the pronounced captain and two unknown shinigami. Gorou's initial plan was to remain unobserved, but not unnoticed. His intent was cut short by a sonorous utter of his name.
“Gorou—”
Gorou slowly opened his eyes concurrently with the call of his name. He fixed his posture, standing upright from his leaned pose. He began to walk towards the entrance way...his sandals echo in lingering intervals to adduce his unenthusiastic stride. The smalls clacks of his prayer beads add a harmonic tune to his steps. The first thing visible through the passageway was Gorou left sandal; he briefly paused his pathing before reviling his entire physique. He was scuffed up, it could be clear that he had just been in some sort of physical activity. He maintained a rather impassive expression, giving eye contact to only his captain and almost disregarding the others present. He took his first step into the office and felt a typhoon of energy emitting from the three's presence. He continued to tread towards the captain, who seemed to get taller as he neared. Gorou stopped his pace once he reached the two other shinigami. The stench of alcohol began to prick at his nostril hairs; he slightly glanced toward the assumed source and brought his focus back to his captain. The shinigami seemed uninteresting, even obsolete. It was possible that he could've been twice Gorou's age. The smell of alcohol began to be enhanced by a putrid body odor, making his first impression to Gorou even worse. From that moment Gorou had zero interest in the shinigami for the time being. Suddenly, the hairs on his body began to rise as if he were getting goosebumps, but Gorou was unfazed...no...it was as if they were attracted to something. He glanced over to the other shinigami and caught a glimpse of cyan hair. It was a very odd color, in fact it might've been Gorou's first time ever seeing such color. He wasn't impressed by the shinigami; his demeanor gave Gorou the impression that he was a laggard. Gorou could sense that the shinigami's spiritual pressure was chaotic, but it felt very precise...concentrated, causing his presence to bring heat. Gorou let his eyes leave the shinigami and once again brought his attention to his captain.
“I am aware that you have chosen me to be a part of your division. I'm assuming these two are also seated officers, but I find it hard to believe that either are your Lieutenant. Are they here for my preferment?”
