Both walked the random streets where this muscular man towered over everyone around, including Izanagi. To this man, they were merely children height-wise. As they walked, Ryuga did all the talking, and as always, Izanagi remains silent. There was nothing to say at this time; after all, this was only temporary, right? Isn't this moment false?
"You ever think about becoming a shinigami, kid?"
The mountain, Ryuga, would ask Izanagi while having that lit rolled-up paper between his lips, inhaling the contents for a second or two before exhaling out the smoke, which is the aftermath of taking whatever is inside of it. Although, Izanagi had spaced out, so the words of Ryuga never reached him, lacking a response to a question. It didn't take long for Izanagi to feel the wrath of Ryuga's mighty fist upon the top of his skull. Almost instantly, Izanagi reacted to this world of pain by grasping his head with both hands with comical tears flowing from the eyes.
"Why the hell you do that old man!"
Izanagi shouted while in crouch mode suffering.
"You spaced out again. You weren't paying attention. I asked if you were ever considering being a shinigami? Had you been listening, I wouldn't have had to repeat myself. BOY!"
Ryuga shouted with the fire lit behind his dark shades, a fire that cannot be seen by Izanagi.
He didn't say anything in response, or instead, he didn't respond immediately, continuously to rub his noggin while having this irritating look about him staring at Ryuga's brutish look. However, Izanagi didn't say a word; he did not have the will or energy to scuffle with Ryuga, whether this was a dream or not. All Izanagi did, as usual, was made a
"tch"sound in regards to Ryuga scolding.
"So are you? Do you think you have the will to join me in the gotei 13? Become a shinigami? They have great booze."
Izanagi came to a full stand from his crouching position while both hands rested on his side. He took a huge intake of breath before letting it all out into a sigh.
"Become a shinigami? Me? For what? Better off alone." he replied.
Izanagi did not have the means or the tools to become a shinigami, though his eyes watched Ryuga throwing away his cigar towards the ground with a simple flick.
"The hardest walk you can ever take in this life is the walk you make alone. I know you lost everything. It is never easy walking alone, kid. But what do I know? You seem to be managing just fine by yourself. Eh, it was just a thought, you should think about it. And when you join, come find me."
Ryuga stated to Izanagi before he walked off down the street of Rukon, Izanagi stood there confused. But why? What was Ryuga to Izanagi? Why did he felt secure and protected around his presence? It felt like a blanket wrapped around his body every time he was with him. What is it? It is hard to explain the feeling that he never had before. His vision slowly starts to fade away, and the once bright sunny day was melting before his very eyes. That beautiful day has turned into nothingness, with him being in the dark once more. Then deep within his chest, he felt something uneasy, something sinister had been close. He could feel it but couldn't see it at all. The creeping sensation that someone gets when they believe someone's watching them. It is precisely how Izanagi feels, he doesn't know why, but suddenly he is convinced that someone is looking his way. Somewhere. Deep within the darkness, this evil sense was somewhere stalking. Was it indeed an evil presence that Izanagi was sensing? Perhaps this was nothing but fear, fearing the unknown. Maybe it represents the truth of a situation that can't be avoided. A person or situation that feels growing impatient with his inaction. Feeling pressure from someone or something. Feeling unwelcome or that he didn't fit in. A feeling that something about him is always being noticed. Being stared at may reflect opinions about someone watching his every move. Feeling that he can't have privacy or do anything he wants freely. Whatever it means, it made Izanagi feel uneasy and tried to run away.
When attempting to run away, it was almost like running across the water, and there was some hindrance. Izanagi couldn't maintain balance, stumbling while unable to lift his head in the process. He has no control over his body, and everything was acting on its own, even direction to where he was going. Eventually, he came to a stop by dropping to his knees first, then lying on the side, trying to pick himself back up to his feet. The balance was unstable to where he couldn't stay straight, but for a moment, he managed to stand up and came face to face with a clone of himself. Like standing in a mirror, only it wasn't easy to discern whether it was glass or real. The individual before has the same likeness, the same features from head to toe. The only difference between them both this clone's face had been more diabolical and twisted.
"Akuma?" Izanagi uttered.
However, there was no response from the twin, but that same uncomfortable expression he kept. But almost instantly, the arm passes through some invisible translucent barrier outstretched. That one hand had a tight grip around the neck of Izanagi; fingers dug into his neck, not through the skin of his flesh. Using this strength, the evil likeness of Izanagi turns his body around into a chokehold. He was having Izanagi neck held within the inner elbow of this hold.
"Watch this."
Was all this individual said to Izanagi, now where just ten feet ahead of their view was Izanagi's parents. Both were slowly backing away while this unknown assailant attacked them both with a swift swing of a sword. There was no sound of anything, but they both were lying there in the puddle of their blood.
Back on the outside world of Izanagi's mental imprisonment, it would seem as Akuma was indeed in the middle of attacking Shizuka. He managed to utter some words while resulting in letting his hair go to adjust his arm into a swift swing with the right, to bi-sect him from the waist. Looking to test Shizuka's might against this blow, a man who shown to be so cocky from the start is now showing fear. Akuma was ready to see how cocky he indeed was, and as the sword swipes through the air unhindered, bringing it over towards Shizuka—not even taken into account of Gorou's feathers that begin to become present.
Yet, Shizuka, manage to save himself from being skewered from the likes of Akuma's deadly attack. Pleased, Akuma would be for not having to kill a foe in one blow. This little activity they have going on shall be very thrilling indeed. But Akuma didn't prepare for being countered with an electric shock after sending his opponent away flying with such monstrous force. Still unaware of Gorou's Shikai and those raven color feathers that are raining down upon the grounds of the barracks. Every part of his body was feeling the effects of this electrocuting kido, becoming disabled for a small duration of time. It surely would be difficult to break free if it was some average or low-level being like Izanagi to escape from. Still, thanks to Akuma and the power this entity possesses, the kido was nothing but a mere trickle. The pain wasn't as excruciating as it should have been, but the capacity of his reiryoku and immense durability protected him from severely being harmed.
Akuma couldn't react to the feathers and what they were capable of—suddenly being pushed out of his position by some significant individual. This person appeared out of nowhere before even realizing they existed, all he felt was some tremendous amount of strength pouring from them until they crashed directly into a wall but never gone all the way through the surface. Unaware that the hado number four that was meant to hit him was dodged when the unidentified shinigami stepped in to be the savior. Of course, still filled with much adrenaline that Akuma was looking to strike the individual with his free hand by swinging the sword diagonally towards the open side of his neck. Of course, it was only at that moment the light of the sun moved and revealed the face of the man before him. A towering man with dark shades, Ryuga Iba. The sword stopped in its tracks by the will of Akuma. For whatever reason being, he didn't finish the strike, but instead, he faded away back into the mental state. Allowed Izanagi, who was just on the verge of uncovering who slain his parents in this odd place, simply vanished away. And soon, it felt like his eyes were opening as if this entire time he was dreaming. The reiatsu signature that belonged to Akuma completely disappeared. The bloodlust that once filled this division is no longer present, and everything returns to normal.
"I remember you. And why the hell you got me pinned against the wall? And why does my chest hurt and back hurt? What the hell you do?"
Izanagi was asking multiple questions with no clue what just occurred, no memory of Akuma's actions. The only thing he had was this puzzling, confused look, and mentally he knew that he had blacked out again. It was normal behavior. However, despite what Izanagi remembers or not neither Shizuka nor Gorou could ever forget this day. They won't forget the feelings they felt once the inner demon of Izanagi rise before their eyes. Would the question now be, could either of them be trusted?
However, the inner demon was back where it first left from inside that confined space with only a small barred window. The shackles were back around the wrist while he sat in the shadow, with only a little light that manages to get through the window. He smirked while uttering the names of the individual he found interesting.
"Shizuka Hyouzoku.............Gorou Nagatomo.........Ha Ha Ha! The Devil shall be back....soon."
His voice was calm yet so sure that he was going to surface again, but it seems it would surface just for those two individuals. After all, they were the first two in Akuma's experience that ever survive unintentionally in his presence. There was one before them that survive but only at the expense of Akuma showing mercy to allow his deeds to spread throughout the rukon when he was but a boy. For unknown reasons, Akuma left control of the body and allowed Izanagi to resurface. Could it have been the presence of Ryuga himself? Some deep connection or chemistry he has with Izanagi? Or was it just a matter of time? A limit he could only be in control? There was much time at all since he surface and took control? Perhaps the physical altercation with Ryuga happens to subdue the low-seated Devil?
