While everything was going on, subordinates working, their Third Seat training and hazing..er, indoctrinating the recruits, there is one room that remains undisturbed. It is the bedroom of the Lieutenant. The room is shut, sealed from the inside barring all entry and turning away any visitors, it is suffused with darkness and shadows. There was a chill within the room that was otherwise typically pristine and in order — save a single tatami mat, slightly askew.
The displaced mat reveals a hidden staircase, one that reached deeper into the darkness. It was impossible to tell how far down it extended, and exactly where this secret abyss led to. The journey down was tiring, daunting, seemingly without end...but it of course did come to an end.

bamboo-sound-deer-scare-japanese-gif-17478017.gif

The sound of water flowing, the sound of dipping..it is the machinations of a bamboo stylized Deer chase. A quick view of the surroundings as one's eyes adjust, reveals a cave and near it, a Japanese styled tea house, fit for a single soul. Across from this humble hut rests a pond, its purity and clearness refracts the sparse light that does exist down here, slowly illuminating its surroundings in a gentle bluish hue.
It is there, that Lieutenant Fuyuko sits, garbed in a blemishless white yukata, her hair normally tied and bound now loosened and free, cascading down her back almost daring to the the ground. Porcelain skin is unnaturally cold to the touch, almost like ice, her body appearing to gleam and sparkle in the unnatural glow from the pond she sits in front of. Closer inspection reveals the cause. The Lieutenant is soaked from head to toe, the white of the yukata now transparent, clinging tautly to her frame, it is the droplets of water that catch and refract the light that makes her appear more mythical than anything.
Having left the others to their training, her Taichou to the call that he’s answered, the Lieutenant sits in deep meditation, has been in deep meditation for some time now. She remains silent, still, ignorant to the ongoings above ground. Occasionally a sigh finds itself escaping parted lips, and after an undetermined amount of time..her eyes open, slowly and gracefully. Her image is perfectly reflected within the pond, nary a ripple disturbing her image. Her eyes appear almost..empty, absent of their usual light.
”You do know...staring is considered rude, don’t you?”
Her voice comes out flat, though it is odd. In this space absent of anyone but herself, just who was she speaking to? It couldn’t have been someone from the Division, this place was housed and hidden within her private quarters. There wasn’t anyone foolish enough to encroach.
”The maiden sure has quite the murderous look on her hehehe...maybe..just maybe, it’s time to take some lives? I hunger sweet maiden..”
A constant rattling accompanies this strange anonymous voice that echoes through the hidden chamber. It was none other than Hibiki-kotsu, her zanpakuto. The spirit manifests as a Gashadokuro of massive proportions, towering over the soaked Fuyuko. There exists none who can truly fathom just how large the spirit can become, or what its true size actually is. The Gashadokuro continued to watch its master before finally fading away. It was a...thing, that Hibiki-kotsu did — randomly manifesting from time to time during her moments of meditation and reflection, before vanishing just the same. The Lieutenant shakes her head at the spirit’s words. She turns her attention to the staircase, eyes leading up towards the surface.
Now pulled from her thoughts, her reflection, her meditation, she ponders on the happenings of everything within the surface. ”Hmm..soon, I suppose.” Were the words casually spoken to herself or...was it a response to the recent query of Hibiki-kotsu? Fuyuko closes her eyes once more, straightens her posture, embraces the silence and serenity once more.
TAP. DRIP. TAP. DRIP
The Deer scare once more becomes the dominant sound within her secret space, it acts as a pacer almost. Her breathing steadies...then slows, thoughts slip from her like water in a basin with holes as she empties her mind. She resumes her meditation.

GOROU

158414720861484820-7.png

Gorou could only ignore Yōjinbukai's peddling for so long. His witty, yet ominous voice purged Gorou's conscious of everything except its cry. Yōjinbukai could sense Gorou's discomfort and preyed at his will. Their relationship was premature; it hasn't been long since Gorou learned Yōjinbukai's name. Gorou rejected the thought of needing to use his Zanpakuto's power. Constantly needing the assistance of Yōjinbukai brings a sense of dependability; a feeling that will only poke at a growing ego. In this case, Gorou seemed to have no choice. Izanagi's presence cut into Gorou's skin, injecting a fear that Gorou had never experienced. That same energy began to slowly eat at the structure of the barracks. Cracks inched along near by walls, crumbling them into nothingness. No words escaped Izanagi's lips, yet his spirit screamed in anguish. Gorou's grip on Yōjinbukai slightly tore at his palms. He shifted his eyes over towards Shizuka, who seemed to want to approach Izanagi. Gorou instinctively stayed prepared; He was ready to move and react to the slightest sign of danger. He wasn't sure about Izanagi's state of mind, but his spirit felt threatened.
"Hold on Gorou, we may need to halt this. I need to handle whatever is going on with Izanagi."
Within seconds of Shizuka finishing his sentence, Izanagi responded with more than just words. His presence quickly faded from existence. Gorou looked over to his direction for a brief second only to see the after image of his body fading. He didn't even notice Izanagi slip through focus. He scouted the area to find Izanagi beside Shizuka; Izanagi's looked to have intentions to kill. Gorou focused on him, noticing that his blade was no different than before. Izanagi had not released anything to obtain this power. This was his sheer strength, a display of power that he reached without having to use his Zanpakuto. Gorou riled up emotions of jealousy; he envied seeing someone who was ranked lower him obtain this much power without the utilization of their Zanpakuto. His junior pride burned in embarrassment, but this was no time for him to worry about his ranking.
Gorou knew that he needed to release his blade to subdue Izanagi. The moment he realized Izanagi had Shunpo'd towards Shizuka he quickly stretched out both of his arms. His reiatsu began to expel, but his spiritual pressure failed to even rival Izanagi's massive reiatsu. He parted his lips to speak, his voice containing the most bass that has been heard from him yet.
"Stalk, Yōjinbukai"
Quick and to the point Gorou stated his release command. As the words left his voice a single black feather blew away in this distance. Yōjinbukai began to tremble, screeching in preparation of its hunt. A massive barrage of black feathers quickly escaped Yōjinbukai's blade. The feathers traveled in all areas, omnidirectional from the swords base. Constantly generating they bashed along the walls of the courtyard, filling the area inch by inch. Over spilling the confinement of the courtyard, the feathers traveled and covered a good portion outside the courtyard as well. They were practically unavoidable, being able to move but a foot and still coming in contact with one. The feathers are made out of reiatsu, in fact each feather is an exact copy of Gorou's spiritual pressure and gives off an illusion of Gorou's presence . For Shizuka and Izanagi, they would essentially be able to sense copies of Gorou in every possible direction, extending even out of the courtyard, simultaneously.
Yōjinbukai ceased to generate any more feathers for the time being. The feathers that scaled high into the sky slowly began to rain on the earth beneath them. Yōjinbukai was satisfied with its marked territory; its power began to surge through Gorou's body. He watched as Izanagi attempted to cut Shizuka where he stood, and took this time to flee from sight. He shunpo'd once...twice...and once more consecutively, concealing himself far behind Izanagi. His pupils began to dilate until his entire eyes were completely black. The veins around his eyes bulged against his skin from the streamed reiatsu. He began to hear a plethora of different sounds, deciphering each one with complete clarity. He focused in on one sound in particular...thump...thump...thump. Izanagi's heart beat played over and over in Gorou's ears. He was able to visualize Izanagi's erratic heart clearly in his head. He listened on each beat, timing the intervals between each one, gauging the distance they were taking to reach his ear drums. He was able to locate Izanagi's heart faultlessly; his precision was practically perfect.
Gorou didn't plan on taking any lethal actions, instead he wanted to take the quickest route to tame Izanagi's wild form. He gathered up reiatsu into his free left hand. "Hadō #4. Byakurai"- No time for incantations, Gorou fired of a byakurai that would just miss Izanagi's heart. The spell's strength would be just enough to pierce his flesh. The electrical current from the Hado would be enough to temporarily disrupt his heart's rhythm and leave him unconscious. Additionally, the byakurai would be inaudble due to Yōjinbukai's power. It would not be able to be detectable by sound and its reiatsu would be identical to the feathers around it, making it exceptionally difficult to tract it in that manner as well. Even Gorou's announcement of the spell would be inaudible, making the spell virtually impossible to detect without sight. The speed of the spell would have it reaching Izanagi shortly after making contact with Shizuka, given that circumstance.

Something that was supposed to be made out as a simple training session, now becomes a major inconvenience. In the past months of Tenth Division's resurgence, Shizuka was trying to abandon the apathetic mentality. Responsibility never truly suited him, but he was more than up for the task of handling the true responsibility of being a 3rd Seat. But this situation, Izanagi's inhibited power, the power that he had to find a way to tame per his Captain's instructions? This inevitably would be the straw that broke the camel's back.
Shizuka, upon using shunpo to close the gap between him and Izanagi, immediately noticed as he landed that Izanagi had already begun to move. He was extremely quick, and what made it worse was that it was unexpected. The kid he just faced, who seemed practically incapable of performing basic Hoho Arts, was a capable of movement at this speed? Shizuka could not even fully assess this newfound speed as he felt his hair be pulled on by Izanagi, whose massive presence could easily be felt behind him. His grip was solid and unrelenting, he could feel small strands of his hair be slowly plucked out by the steady grip of his palm. Shizuka winced in pain as it was happening, his eyes closing, his face furrowing at the stinging pain of his hair being pulled. He was in a bad position, the most he could muster was his left hand grabbing on the wrist of Izanagi's as he tugged on his hair, along wit his right hand firmly grasping the handle of his own Zanpakuto. As soon as he grabbed his Zanpakuto, at that moment Izanagi began to speak, his voice differing from the one that spoke to Gorou, and the one that spoke vividly in the Captain's sanctum. This wasn't the same person at all. His voice dark, and deep enough to send chills down one's spine.
The being standing behind him was not Izanagi.
"Halt this? But we are just starting soul reaper!"
"So he has a murderous being inside of him, good job Higen-Taichou"

As soon as the word left his lips, Izanagi let go his Shizuka's hair tugging it backwards in the process. Shizuka finally re-opened his eyes and turned his head to the right to look at Izanagi, but there was something also strange going on in the background.
"Black Feathers?"
Shizuka only thought of this for less than a second, as Izanagi upon letting go his hair was immediately preparing to follow up to his hair pull. By Izanagi's words Shizuka knew this was only the beginning, but the 3rd Seat knew that he had to end this. He kept his head still and prepared for Izanagi's strike that would come from the 6th Seat's right hand, completely bisecting him from that angle. Shizuka, with his hand firmly grasped upon his handle, unsheathed it effortlessly while simply calling out...
"Tsuzuri Raiden"
This was Shizuka's pinnacle spell, a Hado that could manifest its full power without it's incantation due to years of training. As it was being unsheathed, the blade came out of its tsuba with Shizuka's right hand, cloaked in yellow lightning to reinforce its power to block. A second was not wasted in this action, holding his Zanpakuto similar to a dagger, he brought his Zanpakuto up to his shoulder area to guard his mid-section and neck area from a slash with the blade. The low-seated devil wrung his blade with a tremendous amount of strength, while Shizuka was only able to counter with his off hand in a awkward stance. The swing was strong enough to crack the wind during its travel, and Shizuka felt every bit of it as he was sent flying regardless of him blocking. However as soon as Izanagi struck his blade, he would be severely electrocuted by Tsuzuri Raiden, paralyzing his movement for a few seconds. It was a clever tactic on Shizuka's part, and it would prevent the rampant Izanagi from following up on his strike while Shizuka was off balance. Using this time while he was being sent flying above the ground, he rallied himself with a back flip and upon making the full rotation he drove his Zanpakuto into the concrete to stop his momentum. As he regained his footing he began to look at Izanagi who would have still been in the process of electrocution, but he also fully began to notice where the black feathers were coming from now.
There were black feathers raining from the sky, flooding the entire courtyard. Shizuka immediately began to sense the reiatsu surrounding the feathers, for some reason he felt nothing but Gorou's dark reiatsu. He thought to himself immediately....
"This has to be an effect of Gorou's Zanpakuto... his Shikai maybe?"
He swiveled his head left and right to locate Gorou's actual body but it was nowhere to be found, then suddenly a streak of pale lightning made it's way toward Izanagi. The 6th Seated Officer would have no way to defend against this attack due to it coming while he was being shocked by Shizuka's previous kido spell.
"IZANAGI!"
Shizuka cried out as he witnessed the strike of lightning about to pierce his body. Shizuka started to run towards, forgetful that he was the enemy at the current time. It was only natural, Higen gave Shizuka the responsibility to look after the young man, but everything was permitting him from doing so properly. So distracted issue's going on in his area, Shizuka neglected to feel his Denreishinki vibrate constantly in his pocket. Whatever it was that needed attention, was going to have to wait until he settled this matter at hand.

Ryuga-Smoke-1.png

Everything seemed to be calm and quiet when Ryuga smoked his cigar and took it easy. Nothing seemed to interrupt this silence that embraced the man. Smoke slowly filled his room with each puff he took and soon was the cigar gone. And what was left he threw in an ashtray placed inside the room. The bad habit of smoking and drinking during the past few years has become increasingly worse but Ryuga continued to maintain his muscular physique and strength by not stopping exercise. His eyes behind the sunglasses move from one side of the room to the other, back and forth just like he's looking for something. But suddenly his eyes stopped and focused on a small thing lying on the bed. A small tube with a healing ointment inside which can help him to cover the small cut wounds from his training with Amikiri. The blood is still flowing slowly on his legs and right arm and even though they are not dangerous injuries, they are annoying for him to have. Slowly he gets up from the chair and takes a few steps towards the bed to get there and picks up the tube and just by squeeze it the lid on it opens up. It doesn't take long for him to cover the wounds on his legs and stop the bleeding with the ointment. The feeling when applied is first cold and then it gets warm over the wounds. Ryuga continues to cover his wounds on the injured arm so that all the wounds are well covered. But as soon as he is done it starts shaking throughout the barrack. Now he understood that the training had begun between Shizuka, Gorou and Izanagi. What made it shake all the way to his room was Gorou's Hadō # 33 Sōkatsui and Ryuga started focusing on the Reiatsu the men gave off from the location he knew they trained at. And one did stand out more than the rest as it became stronger every second that passed and this came from Izanagi but something felt wrong. Something menacing about Izanagi’s spiritual signature, it didn’t feel as normal as before. It was something awful, a change in the atmosphere that caused Ryuga's muscles to tense up and quickly grabbed his Zanpakutō and pulled it out from its sheath. He grabs the handle with both hands and calls out the release command to activate his shikai.
Ryuga-Divider.png

'Tear it apart Amikiri!'
And as he said it the whole blade starts to glow in a golden and red color and as the sword itself disappears so will the light that was around it be around both of Ryuga's two hands that he is separating fast from each other. When the light around the fists fades away so will his Shikai be shown as it takes the appearance of a unique design of a pair of golden and red gauntlet gloves with a trio of grand, curving blades extending out from between the four knuckle-guards.
ryuga_shikai-1-2.png

Ryuga is a little embarrassed for not participating in the training which can be felt all the way through the barrack and he now starts to focus on the location where the training is taking place. And in his mind there is a wall in front of him in the room as the training is going on and why he is focusing on the place is to be able to use his shikai's ability in the best way. As he thinks about the wall, his arm is raised and then he whispers the words to activate the ability.
''Blinking Passage ( 点滅通路, "Tenmetsu Tsūro"; "Flashing Passage").''
When the words are said, Ryuga takes a stance with his legs shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, left foot points forward and the right one pointing at the same direction. And then will he swing down both his arms creating a X in front of himself and the blades slowly rip open a X shaped rift in the fabric of space in front of Ryuga. The size of the rift is large so the 'giant' could walk easily into it and while this rift is created a second one opens simultaneously inside of the training room right on the wall he focused on.
Ryuga-Divider.png

And the first thing Ryuga's eyes get to see is the black feathers from Gorou's shikai and they make him sense copies of Gorou in every possible direction. Even if this was an excellent shikai power it did not make Ryuga lose his view of Izanagi. The young calm boy now holding his own no.. even more than holding his own against them. He is pushing them back is what the man can see but also the pure killing intention from him makes Ryuga act quickly as possible. Once again relying on the power of his Shikai to manifest a rift before him while preparing this tremendous raw strength in his legs. Which caused Ryuga to dash forward straight into the rift he created by swiping the air in front of him and creating a shock wave from beneath him inside the room that makes a mess. On the other side of the rift was Izanagi, where his shoulder would be facing the rift Ryuga created. The thirst for blood can be felt from the young boy beforehand, so much that Ryuga HAD to take action and interfere with their training. Due to creating the rift he arrived almost instantly as he would have if he used shunpo and the pure strength in his legs. It took him nothing but less than a second to reach Izanagi thanks to the power of his shikai’s rift and make it before the unknown deadly hado pierces Izanagi. Immediately as Ryuga entered the rift and appeared out of the other side grabbing hold of Izanagi. The momentum and strength of Ryuga carried them off to the far left side of this blood thirsty comrade to a nearby wall to pin him against. Making force would cause him to stop this madness of his or whatever is going on with him. The impact when they hit the wall would create several large deep cracks on it as Ryuga holds up Izanagi from the ground using nothing but his pure strength to hold on to his clothing but still planted against what's left of the wall.

Both walked the random streets where this muscular man towered over everyone around, including Izanagi. To this man, they were merely children height-wise. As they walked, Ryuga did all the talking, and as always, Izanagi remains silent. There was nothing to say at this time; after all, this was only temporary, right? Isn't this moment false?
"You ever think about becoming a shinigami, kid?"
The mountain, Ryuga, would ask Izanagi while having that lit rolled-up paper between his lips, inhaling the contents for a second or two before exhaling out the smoke, which is the aftermath of taking whatever is inside of it. Although, Izanagi had spaced out, so the words of Ryuga never reached him, lacking a response to a question. It didn't take long for Izanagi to feel the wrath of Ryuga's mighty fist upon the top of his skull. Almost instantly, Izanagi reacted to this world of pain by grasping his head with both hands with comical tears flowing from the eyes.
"Why the hell you do that old man!"
Izanagi shouted while in crouch mode suffering.
"You spaced out again. You weren't paying attention. I asked if you were ever considering being a shinigami? Had you been listening, I wouldn't have had to repeat myself. BOY!"
Ryuga shouted with the fire lit behind his dark shades, a fire that cannot be seen by Izanagi.
He didn't say anything in response, or instead, he didn't respond immediately, continuously to rub his noggin while having this irritating look about him staring at Ryuga's brutish look. However, Izanagi didn't say a word; he did not have the will or energy to scuffle with Ryuga, whether this was a dream or not. All Izanagi did, as usual, was made a "tch"sound in regards to Ryuga scolding.
"So are you? Do you think you have the will to join me in the gotei 13? Become a shinigami? They have great booze."
Izanagi came to a full stand from his crouching position while both hands rested on his side. He took a huge intake of breath before letting it all out into a sigh. "Become a shinigami? Me? For what? Better off alone." he replied.
Izanagi did not have the means or the tools to become a shinigami, though his eyes watched Ryuga throwing away his cigar towards the ground with a simple flick.
"The hardest walk you can ever take in this life is the walk you make alone. I know you lost everything. It is never easy walking alone, kid. But what do I know? You seem to be managing just fine by yourself. Eh, it was just a thought, you should think about it. And when you join, come find me."
Ryuga stated to Izanagi before he walked off down the street of Rukon, Izanagi stood there confused. But why? What was Ryuga to Izanagi? Why did he felt secure and protected around his presence? It felt like a blanket wrapped around his body every time he was with him. What is it? It is hard to explain the feeling that he never had before. His vision slowly starts to fade away, and the once bright sunny day was melting before his very eyes. That beautiful day has turned into nothingness, with him being in the dark once more. Then deep within his chest, he felt something uneasy, something sinister had been close. He could feel it but couldn't see it at all. The creeping sensation that someone gets when they believe someone's watching them. It is precisely how Izanagi feels, he doesn't know why, but suddenly he is convinced that someone is looking his way. Somewhere. Deep within the darkness, this evil sense was somewhere stalking. Was it indeed an evil presence that Izanagi was sensing? Perhaps this was nothing but fear, fearing the unknown. Maybe it represents the truth of a situation that can't be avoided. A person or situation that feels growing impatient with his inaction. Feeling pressure from someone or something. Feeling unwelcome or that he didn't fit in. A feeling that something about him is always being noticed. Being stared at may reflect opinions about someone watching his every move. Feeling that he can't have privacy or do anything he wants freely. Whatever it means, it made Izanagi feel uneasy and tried to run away.
Akuma-Line-No-Aura.png

When attempting to run away, it was almost like running across the water, and there was some hindrance. Izanagi couldn't maintain balance, stumbling while unable to lift his head in the process. He has no control over his body, and everything was acting on its own, even direction to where he was going. Eventually, he came to a stop by dropping to his knees first, then lying on the side, trying to pick himself back up to his feet. The balance was unstable to where he couldn't stay straight, but for a moment, he managed to stand up and came face to face with a clone of himself. Like standing in a mirror, only it wasn't easy to discern whether it was glass or real. The individual before has the same likeness, the same features from head to toe. The only difference between them both this clone's face had been more diabolical and twisted.
"Akuma?" Izanagi uttered.
However, there was no response from the twin, but that same uncomfortable expression he kept. But almost instantly, the arm passes through some invisible translucent barrier outstretched. That one hand had a tight grip around the neck of Izanagi; fingers dug into his neck, not through the skin of his flesh. Using this strength, the evil likeness of Izanagi turns his body around into a chokehold. He was having Izanagi neck held within the inner elbow of this hold.
"Watch this."
Was all this individual said to Izanagi, now where just ten feet ahead of their view was Izanagi's parents. Both were slowly backing away while this unknown assailant attacked them both with a swift swing of a sword. There was no sound of anything, but they both were lying there in the puddle of their blood.
Higen-Divider.png

Back on the outside world of Izanagi's mental imprisonment, it would seem as Akuma was indeed in the middle of attacking Shizuka. He managed to utter some words while resulting in letting his hair go to adjust his arm into a swift swing with the right, to bi-sect him from the waist. Looking to test Shizuka's might against this blow, a man who shown to be so cocky from the start is now showing fear. Akuma was ready to see how cocky he indeed was, and as the sword swipes through the air unhindered, bringing it over towards Shizuka—not even taken into account of Gorou's feathers that begin to become present.
Yet, Shizuka, manage to save himself from being skewered from the likes of Akuma's deadly attack. Pleased, Akuma would be for not having to kill a foe in one blow. This little activity they have going on shall be very thrilling indeed. But Akuma didn't prepare for being countered with an electric shock after sending his opponent away flying with such monstrous force. Still unaware of Gorou's Shikai and those raven color feathers that are raining down upon the grounds of the barracks. Every part of his body was feeling the effects of this electrocuting kido, becoming disabled for a small duration of time. It surely would be difficult to break free if it was some average or low-level being like Izanagi to escape from. Still, thanks to Akuma and the power this entity possesses, the kido was nothing but a mere trickle. The pain wasn't as excruciating as it should have been, but the capacity of his reiryoku and immense durability protected him from severely being harmed.
Akuma couldn't react to the feathers and what they were capable of—suddenly being pushed out of his position by some significant individual. This person appeared out of nowhere before even realizing they existed, all he felt was some tremendous amount of strength pouring from them until they crashed directly into a wall but never gone all the way through the surface. Unaware that the hado number four that was meant to hit him was dodged when the unidentified shinigami stepped in to be the savior. Of course, still filled with much adrenaline that Akuma was looking to strike the individual with his free hand by swinging the sword diagonally towards the open side of his neck. Of course, it was only at that moment the light of the sun moved and revealed the face of the man before him. A towering man with dark shades, Ryuga Iba. The sword stopped in its tracks by the will of Akuma. For whatever reason being, he didn't finish the strike, but instead, he faded away back into the mental state. Allowed Izanagi, who was just on the verge of uncovering who slain his parents in this odd place, simply vanished away. And soon, it felt like his eyes were opening as if this entire time he was dreaming. The reiatsu signature that belonged to Akuma completely disappeared. The bloodlust that once filled this division is no longer present, and everything returns to normal.
"I remember you. And why the hell you got me pinned against the wall? And why does my chest hurt and back hurt? What the hell you do?"
Izanagi was asking multiple questions with no clue what just occurred, no memory of Akuma's actions. The only thing he had was this puzzling, confused look, and mentally he knew that he had blacked out again. It was normal behavior. However, despite what Izanagi remembers or not neither Shizuka nor Gorou could ever forget this day. They won't forget the feelings they felt once the inner demon of Izanagi rise before their eyes. Would the question now be, could either of them be trusted?
Izanagi-Akuma-2.png

However, the inner demon was back where it first left from inside that confined space with only a small barred window. The shackles were back around the wrist while he sat in the shadow, with only a little light that manages to get through the window. He smirked while uttering the names of the individual he found interesting.
"Shizuka Hyouzoku.............Gorou Nagatomo.........Ha Ha Ha! The Devil shall be back....soon."
His voice was calm yet so sure that he was going to surface again, but it seems it would surface just for those two individuals. After all, they were the first two in Akuma's experience that ever survive unintentionally in his presence. There was one before them that survive but only at the expense of Akuma showing mercy to allow his deeds to spread throughout the rukon when he was but a boy. For unknown reasons, Akuma left control of the body and allowed Izanagi to resurface. Could it have been the presence of Ryuga himself? Some deep connection or chemistry he has with Izanagi? Or was it just a matter of time? A limit he could only be in control? There was much time at all since he surface and took control? Perhaps the physical altercation with Ryuga happens to subdue the low-seated Devil?
