Notable Features: When people catch sight of Kagewaki they take notice of his appearance with the dark skin, shoulder-length raven-hair and glowing golden eyes. He has long sideburns, joining his hair to his prominent goatee, which takes the form of several triangles pointing downwards and extending upwards on his chin. And the way he always looks people straight into their eyes when he speaks to them as if he's digging into their minds. Sometimes wears some type of jewelry as a pair of golden bracelets. And over the usual shinigami uniform he wears a black haori and a matching black turban that covers most of his head.

Personality: A thief among thieves, Kagewaki is a very mysterious man with a dark past. He grew up in the criminal streets of District 78 Inuzuri (戌吊, Howling Dog; Viz "Hanging Dog") at the South Rukongai. He survived by stealing food and water from others who lived there and in the beginning he was often captured and beaten — more times than he could count. A life that they, in the better districts could never imagine, but so is life in the more dangerous areas.

Over the years, Kagewaki became faster, quieter and smarter in the art of stealing. He became a thief of the highest quality and instead of hating his childhood he embraced the life he got and made the best of it. He started stealing from the better districts and his reputation and confidence grew with each robbery.

Not only is Kagewaki a thief in his own league, he is a very smart man who knows what to do to avoid being caught. One way he does this is by donating the stolen food to those who are as poor, if not poorer than him. He claims to do this not out of pure kindness but to keep the people on his side and that those who are looking for him are always sent in the wrong direction away from him.He also shows skill as a leader over the thieves who look up to and follow him. Although the thieves are people he cares about, he sees everything that belongs to him as a treasure. If any of the thieves get caught, he steals the person back because his life belongs to him. Since he lived a poor life, he is very careful about his belongings and refuses to lose any of them.

As Corps Commander of the Inner Court Troops, Kagewaki treats his subordinates in a similar light. As they serve under him they are his treasures, and as his treasures, none are allowed to touch them without his permission. He acts with an air of indifference to those who do not interest him, as he's always done whatever he so desires; it is a habit that remains unchanged.

He has very little trust in others, even the thieves who admire him greatly because he always follows a code among his group, 'a thief is always a thief' and that makes Kagewaki a very careful man. Even around Kyomu Mukuro and the others in the 2nd Division and Onmitsukidō, Kagewaki is careful and always ready to fight because he thinks that any day they can try to throw him in jail.

Yes, a dark and hard childhood shaped Kagewaki into the man he is today.

Relatives: Unknown mother and father. (deceased †), adoptive grandmother/teacher (deceased †)
Kagewaki has no memory of his parents but he got food and a roof over the head from an elderly lady in his district until he turned 11 when she also passed away. And this older lady was the one who taught him the basics of being a thief.

Reiryoku Level: Great Spiritual Power-
As a child Kagewaki possessed an average level of Spiritual Power that was not anything fancy. But over the years this changed and the man's Spiritual Power grew almost as fast as his reputation. When first meeting Kyomu, he already had a considerable amount of spiritual power, rivaling that of a lieutenant level shinigami. After being (forcefully) recruited and subsequently forced into the Shin'ō Academy he had no choice but to train in the four major Shinigami combat forms further honing his skills and abilities. That he did learn pretty fast even for someone who has not been there for a long period. By the time Kyomu had returned to retrieve Kagewaki from the Academy, his spiritual power had grown close to or at the same level of an average Captain ranked shinigami.

Sensing Reiryoku: Master
A long time before Kagewaki became a Shinigami was he sensitive to the reiatsu of those around him at a very young age. This made the young thief able to know if someone chased him during the time in the streets. And his skills did not change for several years before he started studying in the academy, and then he honed and sharpened his abilities to use Reikaku (霊覚, "Spiritual Sense"), or Reiatsu Chikaku (霊圧知覚, "Spiritual Pressure Perception") on a higher level. Now with his Sensory knowledge and skills, Kagewaki is able to use it for his life as a thief too able to fully see the characters, their strength and reiatsu level along with their belongings, making it easy to pick his targets if they have anything of value on them.
His skills of sensing is something not only used for being the perfect thief but also for combat use. Able to detect attacks from enemies fast and able to counter so quickly that the ones he fights often believe that Kagewaki can predict the future.

Reiryoku Control: Great Control-
At the academy Kagewaki was considered a genius among the rest, showing remarkable control over his Reiryoku (霊力, Spiritual Power). While running through the streets of the Rukongai, he was already able to subconsciously skillfully and carefully utilize his reiryoku to steal from others at a distance. With time and after years of hard training, Kagewaki became able to stop his Reiryoku from "pouring out" from his body and in that way continue to remain 'invisible' from others during missions. Something very useful while spending time in the Rukongai Districts.

Reiatsu: Expert-
Kagewaki's Reiatsu level is something that many would call ''unique'' because of his short time at the Academy. During his tenure at the academy Kagewaki gained considerable interest in his studies regarding Reiatsu (霊圧, Spiritual Pressure) similar to his interest in his studies of Reiryoku (霊力, Spiritual Power). Surprised and curious about the many ways that the released Reiryoku from the inside could be used as Reiatsu.

By focusing the Spiritual Power and controlling it to a single part of the body like the middle of his palm, Kagewaki can produce a strong repulsive force by just releasing the focused spiritual power in a wave of Spiritual Pressure in a straight line. Although he can do this with the whole body, the way of using it with only a single part of the body will reduce the amount of Spiritual Power that is needed.

Reiatsu Color: Orange

Reiatsu Shape:
The shape of Kagewaki’s Reiatsu has been said to manifest itself as an aura of just pure heat but when more Reiryoku is released the Reiatsu change from being just warm and take the shape of what appears to be flickering flames that surrounds his body. As his spiritual pressure swells and grows stronger the flames around Kagewaki also grow until they begin to morph and shape themselves into the head of a jackal with glowing red eyes.

The heat from Kagewaki's Reiatsu also affects his surroundings and can be felt from afar.

Reiatsu Effect(s):
Heat & Amnesia
When Kagewaki's burning Reiatsu reaches its peak, it has the ability to almost incinerate everything that is consumed by it. The heat and flames from the Reiatsu are intense enough to create third degree burns. But when the Reiatsu has not reached its peak, it only gives off a strong heat. Above even this however is a certain peculiarity regarding his reiatsu. Usually only felt by those with weaker spiritual pressure than himself, those within its presence subconsciously block the Phantom Thief from not only their senses, but memory as well. It is believed this is part of the reason that helped him earn his moniker — despite the intimidating aura in which it exudes, those victims of his thievery who have come into contact with him within the Rukongai districts cannot recall his face or any defining features of him. When combined with his flame like reiatsu, Kagewaki produces special flames that burn away at both the flesh and the mind — his flames gaining the ability to burn away the memories of others. Those with stronger and better control over their reiatsu are able to resist this phenomenon of his.

Reiatsu Type: Element Type- Fire

Zanjutsu Level: Expert Swordsman-
Even before starting his career as a Shinigami (死神, death god(s); Viz "Soul Reaper(s)") Kagewaki was skilled in the art Bukijutsu (武器術, Literally meaning: Weapon Techniques). Probably the best in his district of those who did not have any formal training in it.
In the category shurikenjutsu (手裏剣術, Literally meaning: sword hidden in the hand techniques) have Kagewaki proven himself to be a master. Throwing daggers, shuriken and long needles with almost perfect aim and accuracy.

When he is wielding a sword Kagewaki has shown to be very skilled and would even say that the blade is the most common weapon for the people at his district when they using Kenjutsu (剣術, Literally meaning: Sword Technique). In the past, Kagewaki often drowned his weapon in some form of flammable liquid or powder that he could use to his advantage. And also able to perform attacks with a very good precision and stop them in an instant.

Although he is the king of thieves, Kagewaki does not look down on the noisy method of Kayakujutsu (火薬術, literally "the art of gunpowder"). It's something that has actually helped him more than many people think. Through it, Kagewaki has created several openings against his opponents by drawing their attention to the sound or damage that has happened elsewhere because of it.

He arrived at the Academy against his will by Kyumo and at there he had to learn the Zanjutsu (斬術, Swordsmanship; Viz "Art of the Sword") taught by the instructors and his use of swords became even deadlier and more dangerous because of it. He arrived at the academy having already had unlocked his shikai from the Asauchi (浅打, Shallow Hit) he stole years ago from a patrolling shinigami. Though he had acquired the form of shikai he didn't have full knowledge of his shikai's powers because of the problem of communicating with his Zanpakutō's Spirit. But one teacher told him about Jinzen (刃禅, Sword Meditation; Viz ``Sword Zen") and Kagewaki was told that Jinzen is the only way to carry on a proper conversation with his Zanpakutō. After having only briefly heard of the technique and practicing it once, Kagewaki became familiar with it. Once fully understanding the form, and capabilities of his shikai, he became a much deadlier force.

Known Techniques: Senmaioroshi
Hitotsume Nadegiri
Onibi

Hohō Level: Shunpo Master-.
A very long time before Kagewaki became a Shinigami, he was already fast enough to be called the fastest non-shinigami resident within the entire Rukongai. The methods used by Kagewaki were different from the rest, the surroundings and the people of the district always became part of his movement. Considered being the fastest, Kagewaki was no match against those who used Hohō (歩法, Step Method; Viz "Fast Movement") but the risk of him facing one using it so far into Rukongai was a very little chance.

If it had not been for Kyumo showing mercy and seeing the potential of Kagewaki, he would for sure have killed the thief on the spot. At the time at the Academy , Kagewaki learned the basics very quickly which surprised his teacher because he came from the slums of Rukongai. The other practitioners at the Academy looked down on him for not needing to be tested for the entrance exam. And for Kyumo taking Kagewaki to the place made it look almost like a joke that someone from the street with no goal to become a shinigami like the rest of them. Most of the other student's underestimated Kagewaki for not having this goal but his skills with Hohō did slowly give him their respect. Even if he used it the wrong way by stealing their food when it was lunch, it is the only way Kagewaki knew how to survive. Before Kyumo came back to retrieve the man, his knowledge and skill increased to the ranks of even seasoned expert practitioners. Kagewaki's way of using shunpo is very unique for using the knowledge from the street alongside it to make ways that others would not even think of doing.

After years of training under the Phantom Walker, Kyomu himself made Kagewaki reach a speed that could almost match the speed of his teacher. With very little effort he can cross tremendous distances, from the barracks of the 2nd division to the high numbered districts in Rukongai with one or two steps. Kagewaki has more or less copied most he can from Kyumo, able to out run his own shadow, become invisible leaving no trace of his presence, and creating near tangible after images.

The favorite way to show the speed Kagewaki possess is while he uses speed clones/afterimages that mimic every movement. By moving between his afterimages, and delivering attacks from each of them, each of them appearing to gain mass behind them. This Confuses his target(s), making them think that the afterimages are actually clones but when the afterimages are attacked, he moves out of the way, letting his opponent's attack go through one of his afterimages.

Known Techniques:
Speed Clones, Utsusemi, Hiari,Hotaru, Nukiashi

Hakuda Level: Expert Hakuda Combatant-

Kagewaki has had to use his body to defend himself since he started stealing things to survive. Life as a thief is not something beautiful and especially not when you get caught, in the eyes of one who has been robbed the age of a thief is a small thing. Every time he was caught as a child, Kagewaki was beaten until he could no longer walk and it created a desire not only to avoid capture but also to be able to defend himself if it ever happens again. The desire led him to start training physically and build himself a body that could take a beating, the training also built up the speed that he uses for hand to hand combat and stealing.

Over the years he became known for being a man who never went down in a street fight. Even though a thief stays in the shadows and doesn't want to be seen, it sometimes happened that Kagewaki actually showed up to the people. But those occasions were only when someone damaged his belongings (hurt the thieves who worked for him) and for it revenge was the only answer.

His tactics when it comes to hand to hand combat are acrobatic and complex maneuvers, often involving hands on the ground and inverted kicks. It emphasizes flowing movements rather than fixed stances and it looks more like a dance then a way of fighting.

Known Techniques: Panty-Flash Tornado, Chōhigezutsuki, Sandbag Beat

Kido Skill Level: Kidō Specialist-

During his time at the academy, Kagewaki showed little skill in Kido. With no desire to actually learn any it made this his weakest among the combat forms. He was forced to learn some because of the teachers even if he tried to avoid the lessons from them.

The lowest of kido's were the only ones Kagewaki managed to learn to use without incantations. When the number goes up over 30 it becomes a 50/50 chance for it to work even with the incantation for the spell, as some will explode on him indiscriminately.

Known Spells:
Bakudō (縛道, Way of Binding):
Sai, Hainawa, Seki

Hadō (破道, Way of Destruction):

Shō, Byakurai, Tsuzuri Raiden, Shakkahō

Skills and Abilities:
Master Thief: Kagewaki is no simple pickpocket, bandit or hoodlum he’s a thief, the King of thieves. The top of his league, there is no thief before him or present that surpasses his thievery, and none who shall come after him. A master of sleight of hand, he’s able to enter and search the pockets of those standing and chatting next to him, slip rings off fingers, necklaces from around necks, bracelets from around wrists, and swords from one’s side without the other party or any surrounding bystander being any the wiser.

Stealth Master: As a professional thief, his line of work requires a certain level of subterfuge and anonymity. Kagewaki, despite his appearance, is able to easily get lost in a crowd, becoming anonymous at the drop of a dime, as if vanishing into thin air. Capable of tailing a person for hours on end without ever being spotted or noticed, and escaping from what many would believe to be inescapable places or situations.

Equipment: Tsūdentō (通伝刀, Transmittal Blades), Denreishinki X, Flash Bangs

Inventions:
Zokukasō (賊仮相,lit. "Thief Phenomenon") — The apex of Kagewaki's reiryoku control. Kagewaki manipulates the shape of his reiryoku, stretching and extending it out like a viscous thread or invisible hand. Kagewaki uses this ability to steal and pull things from a distance, leaving his unsuspecting victims none the wiser. He is precise enough to ease into pockets without others feeling a thing, and observant enough with his reikaku to sever the thread the moment one's suspicions begin to rise. From an outsider's perspective it is often seen as a form of telekinesis, that is...until the object becomes camouflaged and hidden by his spiritual pressure — essentially becoming cloaked from view. Kagewaki is able to use this technique to not only pull at others, forcing opponent's closer or off balance, tugging allies out of harm's way, but can even pull himself; latching on to distant objects to catapult his body mid-movement.

Zanpakuto Name: Mujintō (無人島, “Desert island”)

Zan1.png

Zanpakuto Appearance:
Mujintō in its sealed state takes the appearance of an Egyptian sickle-sword that is 50–60 cm (20–24 inches) in length. The handle of the sword is gold and blue with a hook that bends in the same direction as the blade does. And the guard above the handle takes the appearance of what appears to be an egyptian scarab with the wings out, having the same colors as the handle. Kagewaki wears his Zanpakuto tied to his obi sash under his black haori, keeping its unique sealed state hidden from peoples eyes.

4e52add44c3d0d1bd038af227a980008.png

Zanpakuto Spirit:

Mujintō's physical form manifests as a man clad in gold armor bearing the menacing head of a jackal with glowing eyes of crimson. Standing nearly ten feet tall, Mujintō towers over Kagewaki at all times. His appearance bears an uncanny resemblance to Anubis, the god of the dead in egyptian lore — and like Anubis, Mujintō believes himself to be, and carries himself as a god. The massive scope of the desert world is dwarfed a thousand times over by the spirit’s ego and arrogance. As a god, he stands above things like jokes, and sarcasm. Despite being the spirit of Kagewaki’s zanpakuto, born from his soul, he sees himself not as Kagewaki’s partner, tool or subordinate but as his superior. Though Kagewaki has gained access to shikai, Mujintō will never admit it is from being bested or forced into submission. If anything, he believes that as a god it is only natural that he bestow a modicum of power to his servant and vessel — a sign of his grace. Beneath all this Mujintō is no fool, and understands the relationship between Zanpakuto and wielder, knowing that his fate is ultimately tied to the fate of Kagewaki, the one chosen to wield him and his power. Still...Mujintō cannot help but wish that he had another “partner”, a vessel that sees him as the god that he is and treats him as such.

Inner World:
6fd6959428edc411de381d1ab6cec3b5.png

A vast and seemingly endless desert, covered with crimson sand cooked beneath a scorching sun that never sets. There exists no trees, no bushes, no source of shade to shield one from the sun’s fury. This is Kagewaki’s inner world. The sand itself seems to sizzle with an unnatural heat, and each time Kagewaki enters the world, he does so absent of any socks or shoes — forced to brave the desert sands completely barefoot. As Kagewaki wanders through the desert, he endures the sun bearing down on him from overhead, while feet carry him across endless burning sands. It is easy for one to become lost in this world, the heat enough to drive one to madness. Enduring the torment as one treks through the desert brings them to a giant pyramid believed to rest at the heart of the desert. It is here that the spirit of Mujintō resides, in wait for the one who wields him.

Reaching the pyramid however, is NOT the end of the journey. It's inside a massive labyrinth, with many walls, many halls, and many steps. The walls are decorated with hieroglyphics, images depicting the clashes and interactions between Zanpakuto and Master, between Kagewaki and Mujintō. When Kagewaki’s heart is disturbed, the sun sets and night consumes the desert, the temperature dropping considerably. Inside the pyramid, its walls, steps and ceilings become fragile, falling and collapsing around him.

Shikai:
In its Shikai,Mujintō does not change very much as it stays with the khopesh style of sword but with a new style to it. The handle turns black and decorated with pale gold and the hook that used to be at the lower part of the it moves to the handle's top. The blade itself appears obsidian in color with what appears to be electrum inlays at first glance within the center of the blade. Unlike the blade’s generic counterparts, the entirety of its blade’s edge is incredibly sharp.

e0b91d5e0a50fbd14372d7d4006d4e95.png

Shikai Special Ability:
The curved and almost Axe-like design of his shikai makes it the formidable weapon in terms of melee combat. It strikes, heavy. Its edge, vorpal in nature, and its power….DEADLY. It isn’t until Kagewaki chooses to invoke the ability of his zanpakuto does one realize that what was once believed to be electrum inlays is in fact, something else entirely. Nenshō Suna (燃焼砂, "Burning Sand") is the name given to Mujintō’s power. Sand flows almost ceaselessly from the center of the blade, guided shaped and directed by Kagewaki’s will. The grains of sand capable of grating flesh upon contact, drilling through most solid surfaces with enough force and grabbing and pulling on people and objects like. It forces opponent’s to be wary of the still present and swinging blade of his shikai, while simultaneously being on guard for the flowing sand — and still, one remains ignorant of the true threat and power of his shikai. The sand produced by Mujintō is superheated, searing to the touch. One may be led to believe the purpose of this “Burning Sand” is to do just that, burn. They would be incorrect.
The sand’s purpose is to soak and absorb the moisture from anything it makes contact with. When used on a living, breathing opponent it causes them to wither away through dehydration, essentially leaving them in a mummified state. Rocks and land crumbles into dust and sand, showcasing the power and lethality of the blade. It is due to the desiccating powers of his shikai that Kagewaki earned the epithet Kansō-ki, the Desiccator.

Personal Relationships:
Kyomu Mukuro - The commander-in-chief of the Onmitsukidō and the captain of the 2nd Division in the Gotei 13. Kagewaki has a slight hatred towards the man but at the same time he does respect Kyumo very much. Not hesitating to argue with his captain the slightest and on the other hand there is no hesitating when he receives an order. They have a mutual respect for each other and Kagewaki sees Kyumo as a rival because he is the only one who actually caught the KING of thieves.

Yasu Yagure - Not much can be said about the 2nd Division lieutenant, nothing bad and nothing good. She has shown Kagewaki a neutral side only. When the two meet, they showed no hatred for each other and actually greet each other like ordinary people. During his first year they actually exchanged sweets with each other and have had a few moments when they talked about candy's.

Sakiko Nakama - In Kagewaki's eyes, Sakiko is the closest he came to a friend and even if she complains and whines on him most of the time he holds her as high if not higher than his workers out on the street. And just like the thieves under Kagewaki, he does his best to not let her come to harm by handing her simple missions to keep her away from danger as much as he can. Sakiko is the only one around him that Kagewaki trusts to take his place during his absence on missions.

Biography:

Kagewaki grew up in the District 78 Inuzuri (戌吊, Howling Dog; Viz "Hanging Dog") at the South Rukongai. Having come to Soul Society with his father and mother, he does not remember their faces because they died when Kagewaki was very young. How he survived his childhood was by stealing food and water, but he really wasn't good at it and was usually caught. One day, after stealing a big watermelon a young Kagewaki was chased through the streets by this huge man that promised to kill him when he caught the kid. But to his rescue came an elderly lady, probably the oldest in their entire district and paid the angry man for the watermelon. And through that, she probably saved Kagewaki's life from being beaten to death over something so little. This older woman did not see a thief as she looked at the boy, instead she saw a hungry dirty street boy without a home. This simple thing she did created a bond between her and Kagewaki much like that between a grandchild and a grandmother. And for the time being, Kagewaki lived at her hideout, being fed by the women everyday. The young boy often complained about constantly getting chased and beaten by those he stole from on a daily basis. The older woman began to show signs of illness but tried to keep it from Kagewaki and realized that she did not have many years left. The thought of what would happen to the boy raised concern whether he would take care of himself when she died. It was at that moment she offered Kagewaki to teach him a way to survive that didn't cost anything. A life that Kagewaki actually had little experience in but not much luck in sadly, the life of a thief.

And for several years, the elderly lady trained Kagewaki in the art of stealing. She had the advantage of being old and few would suspect her to really be a thief. But in fact she was a very good thief, being able to steal money from pockets without the one being robbed noticing. In her youth, she lived as a thief and showed Kagewaki several places where she once hid, and these places eventually became Kagewaki's own hiding places. Everything from stealing small jewelry to money to weapons from the hands of people, Kagewaki learned from this woman. Even how the streets and alleys were connected almost like a labyrinth and this became his basis in the art of stealing. Every alley, every house and roof, Kagewaki knows inside and out. This knowledge of the surroundings meant that he was never caught again and could keep on stealing and leave some stuff on locations to get them later on. And after 4 years of training, the disease caught up with the older lady who just got sicker and sicker every day. She had nothing left to teach Kagewaki who sat by her side as she drew her last breath. But with the last breath, she told Kagewaki where all the treasures she stole in life were hidden.

The building that the woman and Kagewaki lived in became his home, hideout and the basement turned into a storehouse for everything that he has ever stolen. One day when Kagewaki was out on his usual round of stealing he caught sight of a wandering shinigami all alone while standing on a roof. Probably one that has been sent to keep eyes on the criminal district, but from what Kagewaki could see the man was afraid of his surroundings. A dangerous place where fear was a major weakness and that feeling was one the king of thieves himself has not felt for years. The lonely shinigami had something that did shine off the sun tied to his obi sash. It was an Asauchi (浅打, Shallow Hit) and Kagewaki became obsessed with it. He had to have it no matter what. With a jump from the roof of the house, he fell on a sun shade of cloth over a stand below and soon fell to the ground landing on his feet. Kagewaki made his way straight at the target and it took not long until he would pass the shinigami. On purpose he went straight into him almost like a tackle and with quick movements took Kagewaki the sword out from its sheath. Without even the shinigami noticing something had been taken and kept on walking into the crowd, vanishing out of sight with the blade hidden under his haori.

A few weeks pass and Kagewaki sits on his 'throne' in the building and has begun to stay in there more often. Because the stolen sword drew even more shinigami's to find the one that took it. Of course, Kagewaki could always leave the sword if he wanted to and continue to steal, but something caused him not to let go of it. And meanwhile, in solitude, he started reading old books from his 'grandmother' and learned about the energy that he have felt the whole life and its real name Reiryoku (霊力, Spiritual Power). Over time he has also understood a little about it and how it works, even proved to be able to use it to a small extent. Create a ball of the Reiryoku to light up his path and even be able to sense other spiritual beings but not on a very high level. The rumor about him had spread without his knowledge and more thieves tried to get hold of Kagewaki but not to fight or steal from him. They admired his untraceable thefts and how no one seems to remember his face. Although the thieves could not find Kagewaki, it was not difficult for him to find them. And he did, but not just any random thief, but the most skilled of thieves is what he was looking for. Kagewaki easily showed who he was by doing what thieves do, by stealing from the thieves he encountered. And it wasn't long before several thieves followed him, their number went up to 40 (41 with Kagewaki) of skilled thieves. And under Kagewaki's leadership, their area grew all the way from District 78 to the more rich and healthy District 46 at the South Rukongai. And nothing seemed to stop Kagewaki and his thieves from stealing everything they put their hands on.

For several years, the streets continued to become their playground while Kagewaki's wealth grew every day. A life of wealth and fame was something quite contrary to what the King of Thieves grew up with. But it became something he was almost obsessed with, his properties were no longer just treasures, even the thieves were his property. During all the years that the thieves kept following his orders, Kagewaki never stopped stealing from people because if he quit, the skills and years of training would be wasted. And when a thief was caught under him, it felt like someone stole from his treasures. Something that was never allowed and Kagewaki did not hesitate to take back what belonged to him, by stealing back the thief from those who caught the person. And to leave a sign that this was very forbidden, he cut off either a finger or the whole hand from the person. It didn't matter whether it was a woman or a man, stealing from Kagewaki was a terrible thing to expose yourself for. Unfortunately with such signs, traces were left which would ultimately be his first fall as a King.

While building up his group of thieves, Kagewaki always heard a voice shouting at him but never quite heard what the voice said. And while sitting on the throne counting coins, he tried to quiet the voice in his head but this did not help at all and instead the voice became louder and clearer. And when he flips a coin into the air, his mind moves away to another place like he was daydreaming and ends up in a vast and seemingly endless desert, covered with crimson sand cooked beneath a scorching sun. And he tried to wake up several times which looked like a nightmare for someone that lived as a king. Being all by himself again but in fact, he was not alone and a great shadow covered Kagewaki from the blazing sun, with a look up at what could block the light left a picture in his head of old. A man clad in gold armor bearing the menacing head of a jackal with glowing eyes of crimson. Standing nearly ten feet tall, his appearance bears an uncanny resemblance to Anubis, the god of the dead in egyptian lore. Kagewaki at first feels fear, but it ends quickly because he refuses to be afraid of anyone no matter what. Standing up to face the giant, but Kagewaki's legs had lost their strength to keep him up. Falling on knees in front of a large beast's feet with his head down facing the sand this time. Suddenly, Kagewaki feels something hot, even hotter than the heat from the sun that burned on his back a little while ago. My name is Mujintō and I assume you are the king? If you are the king of this world, I must be God. Kagewaki can't say anything but he tries to push himself up from the sand to again face the one calling himself God. I'm Kagewaki, the King of Thieves and I'm not going to kneel to anyone! The Zanpakutō Spirit Mujintō looks down at the man and he have placed the shikai form on the back of Kagewaki to hold him down. And a smile appears over Mujintō's lips as his partner begins to push up his body with the sword pressed against him. You have proven yourself anyway worthy to carry me Kagewaki, as god over this land, I will give you part of my power and do not forget this heat or my name. I promise we will meet again soon but until then continue to grow and become stronger. And Mujintō's sword begins to disintegrate into sand that will flow down to Kagewaki's right hand, before it rebuilds itself as the shikai form. Kagewaki does not hesitate for a second and grabs the handle of the sword and swings it up towards Mujintō but the spirit has disappeared from sight.

A couple of weeks after that incident, Kagewaki learned how to make shikai.that incident, Kagewaki learned how to activate the shikai of his Zanpakutō by calling on its name. And everything seems to be perfect, the thieves and the riches and also learned the basics of using shikai. But this day was not like any other for this was the day he would meet the man who would prove to be his rival in life Kyumo. Everything is normal in the building as the thieves and Kagewaki are in and music is played and everyone is eating well a perfect day would they all call it. Just when Kagewaki is about to start drinking a cup, the door flies in. And everything stops, the music and the eating and everyone's attention is drawn to the entrance where the door was.The light from the sun shines brightly from the entrance and suddenly would a man stand at the entrance, creating a shadow on the floor into the building. You were not easy to find but now I have you.. the king of thieves. Kagewaki looks surprised at the strange man and so does all the thieves in the building, but Kagewaki takes a deep sigh before lifting his hand. You may have found the building but you won't come out of here alive! Kagewaki answer and then he makes a gentle motion with his hand before all the thieves gets up from their tables and begins to pulls their knives and swords. But in a split second, all the thieves collapse on the tables unconscious and Kagewaki slowly starts to rise from his place and pulls his Zanpakutō. It's no idea trying to escape or fight give up and follow me. You and your thieves will be locked behind bars and not see the sun again. Kyumo say as he gives Kagewaki a emotionless lookå but the King of thieves never back down. I don't know how you could defeat my thieves, but I'm not going down so easily! Scorch, Mujintō" And when Kagewaki draws his Zanpakutō and calling its name the released form begin to shine quick as the Zanpakutō takes the shikai form. The event surprises Kyumo as Kagewaki is one of very few who learned Shikai without being a trained shinigami. And he actually lets Kagewaki get closer to him because with just the sight, Kyumo sees that Kagewaki is not fast enough. When Kagewaki is close enough to actually reach him, he makes use of Shunpo and disappears to then show up behind him. Your weaknesses are my goal and there are many.
Kagewaki does not understand what happened, how could he suddenly stand behind him without even moving. And Kagewaki is about to swing his sword back to try to counter Kyumo and suddenly he feels a blow to his neck that is sending. And Kagewaki is on his knees on the dirty floor and slowly turns to face the man, he understood that Kyumo was only playing with him and could kill him on the spot if he wanted to.A man like you is something really unusual, I think I have better use for you outside than in prison. Kyumo's word was actually a compliment and Kagewaki breathed a deep sigh before he turned around to look at him.
54677c1b0171a7f4bb8b182582945fe6.png

With a surprised look, Kagewaki looks at the sword that Kyumo has aimed at him. I'm going to give you two choices and if you answer too late I choose for you. 1. You come with me without a fight and do as I say. 2. You try to escape and I personally will throw you and all thieves behind bars. Kagewaki looks at all the thieves and all the treasures in the room and then he looks at Kyumo. I will come with you without a fight but then I want you to leave all the thieves alone. The sword disappears from his face and Kyumo starts walking towards the exit and Kagewaki slowly stands up and follows him. Without knowing where they are going but to protect his treasures the king does what he has to.

A few days pass and Kyumo has dropped Kagewaki at the Shinōreijutsuin (真央霊術院, Spiritual Arts Academy), sometimes called the Shinigami Academy. And because Captain of the 2nd Division himself took Kagewaki to the academy himself the man didn't need to pass the entrance exam and the teachers was told to teach him everything needed to know and do to become a good shinigami. Kagewaki proved to have a talent to learn quickly the four major Shinigami combat forms. The only thing that he showed very little development in was Kidō because that was nothing that interested him. He even saw no use for it because it was too flashy for his style. Kagewaki is after all a thief who does not want to be seen or heard. And since he had already learned shikai and using a unique style of swordplay that he learned from the street, he quickly became a little known for the style. Hakuda did he not think were much of a differed from ordinary hand to hand combat but he did learn how to use a few techniques that came into use later. And Hohō was what Kagewaki focused most of the time here for this something he really needed to learn. Kyumo surprised him with just speed and this was something that should not happen again according to Kagewaki. He spent almost all his time mastering Shunpo (瞬 歩, Flash Steps) but he felt that Kyumo was still on another level.Kyumo could then see how much Kagewaki had developed while he was there. The two students continue their match and their speed was probably the fastest of all the students but something stood out between the two. Kagewaki was not injured at all while the other suffered more damage for every second that passed. And a teacher would just call off the match but Kyumo stopped him.Let's see how this ends. The teacher had not even noticed that Kyumo had arrived but nodded in silence as the match continued. And it was a pity that Kagewaki was just playing around with his opponent but after a while both students stopped in front of each other. Neither of them said anything and both of them saw Kyumo watching their match. The opponent wanted to show off his skills for Kyumo and began to speak the incantation for the Hadō #31. Shakkahō. This created an opening for Kagewaki that suddenly disappeared from the opponent's field of view but Kyumo followed him with his gaze. Now Kagewaki did the same thing that Kyumo did to him and appeared behind the opponent. You're too slow And with a quick blow to the neck, his opponents fall down onto the ground unconscious. Kagewaki constantly looks at Kyumo and uses Shunpo to show up in front of him. I'm done here Kyumo slowly nods and turns with his back at Kagewaki before he say.Come And without saying anything, Kagewaki does as Kyumo says and both use Shunpo and leave the area.

After a while they arrive at the barracks of the 2nd division and Kyumo leads Kagewaki to a door and behind the door are several members of the fifth branch of the Onmitsukidō. The Inner Court Troop (裏廷隊, riteitai) and they welcome their Chief and Captain back. Once inside, Kyumo tells everyone who Kagewaki is with, but not about him being a thief. He also tells them that Kagewaki will be Corps Commander of the Inner Court Troops and the 5th seat of the 2nd division and they all moves their head down while they stand on one knee.Kagewaki looks over at Kyumo that would look back at him, giving the cold look as normal. When Kagewaki become familiar with all of them, Kyumo tells him once again to follow him and they leave the room in silence. Is this why you didn't throw me and my thieves into prison? To have me in your division and to take care of them? Kyumo looks at him and nods lightly.Exactly, you showed me from the beginning that you have leadership skills and honestly you could have become 3rd seat in my division but then you lose your freedom. I chose this seat because this gives you access to go in and out without having problems. You will learn over time what you need to do and your thieves' actions will be overlooked. You are my eyes and ears on the streets and I expect you to do as I say. Kagewaki looks towards Kyumo and nods, he has nothing to say and is happy that he and his thieves are allowed to go free.Knowing that if he does something wrong Kyumo will to do what he should have done from the beginning. The next few years, Kagewaki spends with the division and does his job as Corps Commander of the Inner Court Troops. But sometimes he is also sent back to his district to lead the group of thieves. Continue like nothing had happened but he always has to return to Kyumo to report if something will happen. (Will fix the spelling and grammar asap)

Notable Features:
About half of Suru’s look is modest. His build is average, his complexion is fair and slightly olive, and his hair is a staunch brown. He does, however, bear a few peculiar features, arguably more than the average member of his race.

Firstly, his cheeks. They have a slight rotundness to them, and protrude slightly to the side. They are also, for whatever reason, naturally rosy. It connects somewhat to his nature when upset: naive, and somewhat childish. This is one of the only attributes Suru is insecure about. He doesn’t mind his shortness, nor his birthmark, nor any of his other undesirable features, but this one he does. He has a longing to improve and further himself, but this permanent mark, in a way, challenges this aspiration. When others mock him for it, it sort of challenges his authority, a trait he desires and thinks very highly of. The mocking of his cheeks--despite the seeming pettiness of it--, is one of the primary ways to provoke him. It usually leads to him resorting to an intenser, less filtered state.

Another prominent attribute, and probably the most blaring one, is his birthmark. It rests atop his right eye, and its color varies depending on the lighting, usually assuming an orange-brown hue under the mildest lights. At first, it was a mark that Suru hated. He was naturally teased for it as a child, and at times resorted to covering it up, but over time he began to care less, it even helped him grow thicker skin. Now, he tolerates it, sees it as a sort of trademark almost, one that makes his image more prominent in the leagues of Shinigami.

Personality:
A temporary man, Suru does his best to not invest himself too much, taking a neutral seat when things escalate. He lives by a simple, self-imposed philosophy that instructs not assert himself as much as possible, so as to make life simpler and less intense. He was once a less restrained man, one that would flaunt his passion and intense emotion, but after joining the Ninth Division and witnessing those with higher ranks than him’s potency, downplayed his demeanor and resorted to this muted, less extravagant ideal. His impartialness is almost offensive at times, especially when he doesn’t care for a certain topic. His demeanor is extremely stoic and reserved at these times, and he bears a strong filter that only allows the safest actions. This may irritate others around him, as at times he takes it to extreme extents, and lets the events play out before him, even when the situation is one of importance. Suru has done it so often it has become a sort of habit, and when a scenario bores him even slightly, he will instinctually resort to this quiet demeanor. When he does speak or act in these instances, his gesture and intent is either stiff and rushed, or loose and vague. He slurs his actions in these instances, and the result is either a vague point only furthering the status quo, or an obvious, blunt one. It is often hard for him to retain this though, and in most instances he finds himself either being forced out of his neutrality, or grows an interest in the matter. When interested in something, he is more intense than the average person, and will speak and act in a very intricate, passionate way, talking at a swift rate or speaking in a way only relatable--or at times understandable--to him. In these situations his older, more naive self is expelled, and he acts as he did in those times, riled up or just generally passionate.

Suru is a man with many hobbies, but above all else, he enjoys the arts. He can be found in his rare hours of leisure reading or listening to a certain piece. He feels very passionate about art, and has grown a very nuanced--but at times peculiar--eye for it. Suru enjoys consuming and critiquing art, and at times it bleeds into the way he speaks when he is passionate for something - he uses verbose words, and has a very critical tone. He is not very good at creating art himself, but believes he has a fluent sense in gaging the worth and meaning of pieces he consumes, and critiquing it. This is also true in his actions. His proficiency and preciseness is not very capable, but he is very attentive, and can size up threats or obstacles with ease. He is well spoken, although in . This is the main reason for his position in the Ninth Division. He enjoys literature, and has a critical eye when reviewing works, and for interesting situations in general.

When in distress, Suru is childish and moody, and often won’t think very rationally. He can be rather hard to deal with in these times, and will rave about how uncontent he is. These times can be annoying for others who are acquainted with him, but if he can find an outlet or something to rouse him, he becomes even more peppy and passionate, fueling his undesired feelings into energy. When he is serious, his word is stern and permanent, and occasionally he will rant briefly on things, his tone fierce and lingering.

Suru doesn’t care much for looks. In his lifetime, he has grown a significantly thick skin, and typically doesn’t let petty remarks or shallow trash-talk get to his head. He does, however, get irritated with confusing, or daunting remarks and gestures. Because of this, he is a slow but endearing learner, and will take some time to understand key lessons or advice. The relationships he develops are usually significant, and he will be generally open with seasoned acquaintances.

As previously established, Ijoushi is very fond of art. He is not very good at executing most of those, but along with the calligraphy he attempts with his Zanpakuto, Ijoushi often tries his hand at oration. When roused fully, he is very dramatic and expressive, seeing his behaviour and interactions as an art in and of itself. He especially likes to say flowery, almost poetic things as he fights or deals with something. These phrases can be cringe-inducing at times, or even just stupid - but occasionally, under the lack of self-awareness and adrenaline, he will utter something insightful, or somewhat poetic. This is not much of a skill, but it is certainly a prominent trait to Ijoushi sometimes, and occasionally after riffing with phrases for a while, the Shinigami will strike a certain chord in himself that inspires him, gives him a new point of view or idea to execute.

At the end of the day, Suru primarily aspires to better himself, and to grow. Despite his critical, and at times lazy character, he aims to grow more, consistent passion for his work, and to become a more endearing, trustworthy individual. He is a passionate man, enveloped in multiple humbling thresholds.

Relatives: Deceased.
IMG-4033.jpg

Reiryoku Level: High Spiritual Power-

While Suru is average in ranking, he does bear a strikingly strong Spiritual Power. He was born with an impressive sum of power, and nurtured it throughout his lifetime through profuse training, also training in the art of suppressing his Reiryoku. Most are oblivious to this though, as Ijoushi tends to sanction off his Reiryoku, seeming virtually lethargic, and weak in Spirit.

Ijoushi’s Spiritual Power does not manifest itself in an overt way, and instead it is gradually eased out of his being. It usually rests at an Average--or even Basic cabiler, when in his reserved state--level. When provoked though, it tends to rise, and eventually his Spirit can be much more plenteous and extravagant, corresponding with his unbridled passion in these instances. In most battles, it is slowly exposed and unraveled as the fight rages on, and it is not something he can merely flip on, or let it abruptly erupt from him. This may seem inconvenient at times, but it can pose as a blessing as well, as from his suppression training he has grown less prone to sudden mood swings and fits of anger from most petty things.

Sensing Reiryoku: color=steelblue]Expert-[/color]

From his watching and studying strong opponents and fighters, Suru has obtained an impressive amount of awareness. Coupled with his love for the arts, and critiquing and analyzing them, Suru has become rather attentive over the years. With a little training, Ijoushi was able to translate his awareness into Reiryoku Sensing, and now boasts an extraordinary (For his level) ability to discern it.

Reiryoku Control: Average Control-

Overall, Suru’s Reiryoku Control is at an Average level. He is adequately trained in the field, its just that there are other factors at play, and it is hard to maintain a steady level of control, especially when engaged in a fight. It is dependent on his level of enthusiasm - when it is low, his control is higher, and when it is high, his control is lower.

IMG-4029.jpg

Reiatsu: Specialist-

Suru’s Reiatsu is respectable. It accords to his Reiryoku reserve, but didn’t always. His Reiatsu was one of the hardest things to train, and Ijoushi found it a very draining task to improve, as it started out extremely low. Over years of training though, he gradually progressed, and now holds a fair amount of Spiritual Pressure. He is very proud of the results, and finds his Reiatsu rather pretty, often flaunting it in bouts, even occasionally when facing Hollows.

Reiatsu Colors:

In its most mild form, Suru’s Reiatsu is a muted lavender tone. It varies depending on his level of concentration though, and when fully roused blazes a steady purple, with bits of emerald. When in a more pessimistic state, Suru’s Reiatsu may appear muddier, with teases of grey or even green.

Reiatsu Shape:

Plume of Brushes

Suru’s Reiastu usually rests in an orthodox fashion, enveloping his body lightly and emanating outwards ever so slightly. but when allowed to flourish, it emits long, flickering, brush-like tendrils; tomoe shapes that billow upwards; and other simple abstract shapes.

Reiatsu Effect(s):
Stunning-

Reiatsu Type: Standard Type-

Zanjutsu Level:
Expert Swordsman-

Suru, while not someone with an exceptional edge, has an impressive understanding of swordsmanship. He has trained a respectable amount in wielding his blade, and much like his other abilities, his approach depends on his concentration: when in a reserved position, he tends to opt for a more control-based strategy, holding his sword with both hands, and focusing more on defense, and reliable moves. When in a passionate state, he will focus more on winning, often mixing in other techniques into his fighting, and holding his blade with one hand, taking riskier attacks.

Known Techniques: Ryōdan, Onibi.

tumblr_ll0lo4WOeW1qdmlfso1_500.gif

Hohō Level: Shunpo Practitioner-
Ijoushi is not the quickest person, but can hold his own when agility is needed, and possesses an adequate amount of proficiency in the field. It has always been a skill he’s neglected, his valiant roots leading him to him feel as fi running and movement isn’t as valuable, and that offensive and more direct means of fighting are more important; but over the years, after watching others much greater than him fight and maneuver with masterful Hoho, he’s had a change of heart, and hopes to train his Shunpo in the future.

Known Techniques: Rolling Step

Hakuda Level: Hakuda Combatant-
As a human, Ijoushi was a strong advocate for hand to hand fighting, and it was his prefered means of combat. Because of this, he is very experienced in the field; but over the years has grown rusty after growing so passionate in training his Kido and Zanjutsu. He is very tactical when it comes to Hakuda though, and can usually fare well against most of his peers, even those higher than him at times.

Known Techniques: Tesshō

snakeshini2-500px.png

Kido Skill Level: Kidō Specialist-
Upon his becoming a Shinigami, Suru has been transfixed by Kido. The mystical elements of it interested him, and he trained significantly in the field, seeking more control over spells. He has learned several, and is just about strong enough to cast a few without incantations, but tends to still utter them regardless, as he thinks they’re cool.

Skills and Abilities:
Mental Organization
During his time in the Academy, Ijoushi seemed to excel further than any other of his peers in his ability to retain knowledge, quickly becoming the center of envy. Being able to micromanage, as well as perform multiple tasks at once, Ijoushi is able to maintain absolute focus. Some could conjecture that his ability to problem solve would be better suited for Twelfth Division, given their more intel, and research based operations.

Perceptive Criticism
Ijoushi is a boy who is fascinated by all arts, and eloquence in general. Although his actual skill at performing most arts is lacking, he does have a very critical eye, one that is perfectly fit for reviewing and meticulously analyzing. Using his unique, and ultimately innate sense of perception, Ijoushi is able to quickly analyze and evaluate occurrences, whether it be in battle, or in nature. Because of this skill, he has gained quite the popularity submitting articles of Shinigami's newly acquired haircuts. It is rumored that Ijoushi's eyes are so keen, he is able to distinguish a person's growth, even if by only a centimeter in height.

Equipment:
Geta, Denreishinki, Shinigami attire, a light novel, miscellaneous trinkets that interest him.
Inventions: None (At least for now.)
IMG-4035.jpg

Zanpakuto Name: にくひつ - Nikuhitsu (Lit. as written with a brush)
Zanpakuto Appearance: In its Unreleased State, Suru’s Zanpakuto is a standard Katana. It is about 3 feet long, and has a red saya with rich, square embellishments decorating it.
Zanpakuto Spirit: Ijousjhi’s Zanpakuto Spirit assumes the form of a seasoned old man - one with long red locks and an impressive ponytail. In Ijoushi’s Inner World, he spends his days strolling through to meadow, or burying himself in books in the cottage, or working on endless passion projects. Unlike Ijoushi, Tenka is a very prolific artist, and has explored and mastered many mediums. He often lectures Ijoushi on his lacking skill in the arts, and his verbose, sometimes pretentious language. Much like Ijoushi, he bears a strong pool of passion, but his enthusiasm is often tarnished by his old age. He is spontaneous and eccentric, and also very hardy, communicating with Ijoushi in an archaic, jumbled way, one that is often hard to decipher. When Ijoushi is collected, he is usually very opinionated and passionate, but when Ijoushi is the enthusiastic one, Tenka-shita is lethargic and collected, similar to most elderly folk.
Spirit-9th.png

Inner World:
unknown.png

Suru’s Inner World is a pleasant cottage, resting atop a flowery meadow. The cottage is small, but inside, heaps of books and equipment can be found. In the day, the area looks almost impressionistic, with its vivid flowers; neat grass; and languid, rich pond. Upon nightfall though, the place becomes more primitive--beasts begin to roam or swim deviously in the pond, grass is trampled, flowers are eaten, and the beings that reside there engage in raw, primal combat for reasons obscure to most. The meadow is enveloped in thick, wispy clouds, and only the area is seemingly a floating island, although it is impossible to be sure with the surrounding clouds.

IMG-4036.jpg

Shikai:
When released, Ijoushi’s Zanpakuto mostly takes on the form of a Kusarigama, as depicted below. Much like a standard Kusarigama, the weapon has a 2 foot long blade, and a 3 foot long hilt, one wound in ribbons that resemble colorful leather. The inside of the blade is serrated, and the top, not sharp part of the blade has a small point protruding from the end. Tied to the hole in the blade is a strong rope rope, one that, when fully outstretched, is 5.5 feet long in total. Atop the end of the rope is a 15 pound weight, and on top of that is a large, frilly clot of some type of hair, which acts as a type of paintbrush.
unknown.png

Shikai Special Ability:
Along with becoming physically stronger, Tenka-shita-washi’s released form opens up many new possibilities for techniques and strategies that can be used. When in Kusarigama form, Ijoushi can maintain a strong long and short range when fighting, as he can use the rope to ward off enemies further away, and the sickle for those that are closer.

On Tenka-shita-washi’s weight rests a sizable paintbrush, one just under a foot in length. This brush, although quite an eyepiece, is not just for show, and actually is the vessel for the main Shikai ability of Ijoushi’s Zanpakuto. When wielding it, Suru is granted the ability to etch out onomatopoeic characters and simple shapes into the air. The function of the characters is dependent on the sound they make. For example, if Ijoushi were to scrawl out the characters ブーム (‘Boom’), the ink would explode into the air. This works for symbolic shapes as well: a star or sun will twinkle and can blind opponents, and a heart will boost Ijoushi’s moral. The potence of the characters rely on how legible they are, and if a character or shape is produced sloppily, their effect will be weaker.

Personal Relationships:

Likes:
Arts in general, productivity, more IRP.
Dislikes: Complex, daunting situations (Specifically interpersonal ones), more IRP.
Hobbies: Consuming art, meditating, sparring.
Favorite Food(s): Truffles, fish, sandwiches, rich candy.
Seretei Communication Column: Have you Submitted any columns in the SCC? When he does get involved, Suru edits others’ work. He has a sharp eye, and his changes are often harsh and drastic. He plans to take on a bigger role though, now that he is an Officer.
IMG-4039.jpg

Biography: As a human, Suru lived a somewhat average life. He grew up in a bustling city, and was always said to be a prodigy by peers and elders - with his critical eye, and with his physical ability. He was known by most to be a brilliant boy, and lived his life rather full of himself. That was, until his death. He caught a strong disease, and despite his tough immune system, was ultimately subjected to death.

After dying, Suru was sent to the spiritual world - a lucky fate. There, he experienced a tremendous culture shock. The status quo was much different there, and he found that his impressiveness in the Human World was just about average to the Spirits. There, he downplayed his demeanor, sanctioning off his passionate, confident self, and becoming more lazy as well. He kept to himself, and slowly rose the ranks, being chosen for the Ninth Division for his literary talent. Now in a new environment, he hopes to better himself once more, by growing his ego and emotional stability.

Bright eyes and general happy expression.

Personality:
Junko is almost never seen without her bubbly smile and behavior. A usual state of her personality mixed with an attitude that almost ensures her patients will trust her. Her actions are almost child like in nature, though she is always aware of her surroundings and moves about with ease despite her strange movements. A default state for her, she is not so naive as to not be attentive to situations that require a cool head. Though she can become overzealous in a fight to protect her comrades she will not move without purpose nor will she charge in blindly. The only exception is when following behind Omoni, whom she would follow anywhere at her command.

Reiryoku Level:
Great Spiritual Power
JunRei2.png

Despite her kind looking nature Junko contains great spiritual powers. A necessity with her Zanpakuto she studied tirelessly to become proficient enough to wield her shikai nearly effortlessly. Easy to see in the ease with which she can direct her shikai and its effects hitting their targets directly. This aids her Kidō spells, the few she has mastered without incantation all the more potent.

Sensing Reiryoku:
Expert
JunSense.png

Studying the ability of her shikai along with the control and sense of reiryoku became critical. Her weapon requires the ability to feel each and every person surrounding her in moments while deciphering who is friend or foe; she must also sense their level of injury as well as enemy's threat to her. This leads to a constant awareness of the flow around her, picking up all that she can as if second nature. Full attentiveness to how much of her reiatsu is going where to heal and calm the fallen also made her proficiency necessary in this field.

0c3ca02910fd405751f247e0648b6abe.png

Reiryoku Control:
Great Control
juncontrol.png

With the nature of her shikai along with he previous life as a dancer Junko is very in tune with what is happening without and around her. Mastery over every single aspect of her reiryoku, she found, to be easier than mastery over the human body. Though not reaching the peak of mastery, she strives to better herself. Control is once more a large portion of her ability and requirements, lending her accuracy over her spells as well as to her Shunpo.

Reiatsu:
Specialist
junreisense.png

Without intentionally exerting her reiatsu, those around her generally simply feel more peaceful and content when they are close to her. With a calming effect in passing, her exertion is different. Using her considerable control she can spread her reiatsu further and make the effects stronger. Used in battle or after, it eases the pain of comrades about her as well as relaxing them; thus allowing them to be treated and transported easier.

Zanjutsu Level:
Swordsman
junkozanjutsu.png

Though not incredibly skilled with a sword itself, her precision and speed with her shikai is a sight to behold. With much training into her speed as well as controlling the strange and awkward chakrams, Junko managed to become acceptable at using her tantō, she prefers to fight hand to hand rather than with the short weapon. However, due to her speed and the nature of her sealed Zanpakuto she can be quite dangerous with her sealed weapon as well if she is able to surprise the enemy. Though considerable effort during Academy was spent to better her swordsmanship, Junko could only master her own personal weapons and techniques that make them the most dangerous.

Hohō Level:
Shunpo Expert
junhoho.png

While in Academy Junko discovered the nature of her Zanpakuto. Wishing to become a field medic as well as needing speed to master her weapon, her training began. With higher levels than expected for her rank in reiatsu control as well as sensing, she is able to easily see and control the amount of reiatsu that is used with each and every movement she makes. Though she can generally be clumsy, when she focuses upon the task her speed has a huge increase.

She was not able to completely reach her goal in Academy. 50 years as a nurse in Squad Four, however, greatly helped her increase her speed as she zoomed from room to room and patient to patient. Within such a restricted area this still made training difficult, leaving her another reason to strive to become a field medic.

Known Techniques: Senka

Hakuda Level:
Expert Hakuda Combatant
junhakuda.png

With Omoni as her role model, hakuda became very important to Junko. Becoming proficient with most hand-to-hand combat, she is held back by her need to stay fast as well as her size. Through rigorous training she achieved larger muscles than before she had been in Fourth; this was the peak of their growth. Junko was never able to get any larger physically despite her strength growing. Eventually her strength began to match her size more. This leaves her with rapid movement but perhaps not the strongest attacks, usually leaving her to release a flurry all at once to compensate.

Known Techniques: Tesshō , Tsukiyubi , Taketonbo , Sandbag Beat , Kazaguruma

Kidō Skill Level:
Kidō Specialist
junkido.png

With her interest in medicine came her interest in Kidō. The uses it had practically as well as for treatment and protection of patients fascinated her. It took little prodding for her to spend much of her spare time from her other focuses to study Kidō. Her silly nature can make her appear too ditzy to allow for the focus required; this is highly deceitful. A honest smile on her face comes from the ability to separate her work and her life. Patients stay at work. Awful events and tragedies stayed there. with true contentedness in her normal daily life comes complete focus while working.

Aside from Academy and her personal teachings, she learned much working in fourth as a nurse. Paying close attention to any Kidō spell ever cast before her, she would ask about it as soon as the opportunity arose. This led to a grand arsenal of techniques. Although she knows many, most require incantations; the exception being spells she studied in particular for being the most used or useful.
Known Techniques: Without Incantation Kyōmon , Kokō no Jōmon , Tsuriboshi , Shibireyubi , Healing Kidō.

Shikai Special Ability:
Kirikae

Conversion;Exchange

While her Zanpakuto boasts great melee power as well as what could be considered a "barrier" with fast enough movements, Junko's Zanpakuto was also meant to heal. Her chakrams large shape as well as easy rotation can surround her with ease, razor sharp spikes adorning the edges and able to cut to the bone if allowed near enough.

Of course her place in Fourth wouldn't truly be warranted if it weren't for the healing nature of her Zanpakuto. Using one chakram she is able to absorb the injuries from a wounded comrade. It can be held within her shikai for a maximum of thirty seconds, though it puts a great strain upon her to do so. Once the injuries have been absorbed by her Zanpakuto the person will find their wounds healed and pain gone, mixed with the effects of Junko's reiatsu's effects to keep them calm and level headed as to what they should do.

Once absorbed, the injuries are hurled outward by the opposite chakram, inflicting upon its target the exact same wounds taken from the original person.

Personal Relationships:

Omoni Hageshī
760887f6817f0c9ca0e5699414f0abce.png

Though she has never actually interacted with the woman, she was a huge impact on her life. She was her reason for joining Academy and she strove to be as strong as Omoni. Though feared by most, she has been Junko's role model for many years.
In Junko's eyes, the woman was to be respected. She was a fine warrior and stood strong for the squad. She had seen her in action personally only once, and that was all it had taken.

OmoJunVision.png

At first rumors circulated that her strange interest in Omoni was only due to wanting a promotion or to obtain her dream of a field medic. These rumors eventually quieted, however, as Junko never worded her feelings toward the woman directly or even their Captain. She could only be occasionally caught seen watching her if they happen to cross paths, a determined smile upon on her face.

When word reached her of her promotion and becoming a field medic with her hero she was over the moon. Though still not formally introduced to the woman, she eagerly awaits their time together in the future.

Notable Features: White semi/long hair, crimson hues, scar from the top of his left eye moving down over the eye and at finishing over at the bottom of it.
Personality: Katsuo is a little bit of a rascal. A trait of his that never really left him. In the streets of Rukongai, he was always making people’s lives miserable. Stealing food and necessities just to survive. He may be a bit of a rascal, but he has his strong qualities of protecting the weak, pride and working hard in order to achieve goals. Traits he gained through the academy for the Gotei 13.
Relatives: Yes, Katsuo does have relatives, at least as far as he remembers. He was thrown out of his family at the age of 8.

14327a0f76064fab23f3117d1be378a3.png

Reiryoku Level: Average Spiritual Power
Before joining the 13 Court Guards, Katsuo wouldn’t know what reiatsu or reiryoku was. The only time his reiryoku was clearly visible was when he protected the woman and her child. It was clear as it was an unstable spiritual pressure that lashed out with sparks of lightning flying everywhere. It is now that Katsuo fully understands what reiatsu is and has been slowly but gradually focusing on making it stronger and more refined than what it currently is.
As Katsuo is now, he needs many more years of training to unlock his full potential and further strengthen his reiryoku level.

Sensing Reiryoku: Basic
As mentioned earlier, the concept of reiatsu was unknown to him before joining the 13 Gotei. But since joining and training, he acquired the basic sense of sensing spiritual pressures. He still needs a lot of work before he can sense the weakest of pressures. He can sense the strongest ones of the captains as they are too difficult to even miss.

Reiryoku Control: Great Control
Because of his training with kido and learning more about it in the Shino Academy, Katsuo has achieved great control over the current level of his reiryoku. The few spells he has learned to cast is due to the fact he spent a lot of time practising how to harness his own power. What he lacks is spiritual power but not control.
0925120304f08cfa13f9cbf6cdad3741.png

Reiatsu: Specialist
It is by no exaggeration to say that Katsuo has learned to release his reiatsu as pressure. The pressure he releases also snaps out with sparks of lightning. At his current level, the sparks themselves should do little to no damage, to seated officers or above that level. Anyone below that level would suffer minor burns if struck by the sparks. Katsuo has an easier time resisting spiritual pressures that are stronger than his, but not much stronger. He can resist up to Lt class spiritual pressures at his current level.

Reiatsu Colors: White/Blue

Reiatsu Shape: Sparks
The sparks that fly off from Katsuo’s reiatsu are what represent the element of his reiatsu, that being lightning. When he releases his reiatsu it would most likely be to threaten someone. In that case the sparks are a little dangerous. Not very as they will only cause minor zaps and burns.

Reiatsu Effect(s): Damage (At Katsuo’s current level, the sparks don’t do anything.)
As stated earlier his reiatsu serves to damage his enemy or enemies around him. It is there to threaten. Only minimal damage can be dealt from the sparks emitted by his reiatsu. However with training to further enhance his spiritual pressure, the sparks may get stronger and more effective.

Reiatsu Type: Elemental
Being the form of lightning, his reiatsu is an elemental type.
0925120304f08cfa13f9cbf6cdad3741.png

Zanjutsu Level: Swordsman
Katsuo learned swordsmanship at the Academy. He held no katana prior to that. He had learned Kendo or otherwise known as kenjutsu. Though he was praised for his ability to hold a sword, he prefered honing his martial art style. Katsuo has a good sense of fighting with a sword at a level above basics.

Known Techniques: N/A
0925120304f08cfa13f9cbf6cdad3741.png

Hohō Level: Shunpo Practitioner
As for most things he learned about Shinigami within the Gotei 13, Katsuo also learned the Shunpo. An ability that still needs a lot of work and practice, Katsuo can use a basic level shunpo. He put some effort into learning the basic technique but requires a lot more training to hone and further develop his shunpo.

Known Techniques: Basic Shunpo
0925120304f08cfa13f9cbf6cdad3741.png

Hakuda Level: Expert Hakuda Combatant
During his time in the Shino Academy, Katsuo greatly favored hand-to-hand combat and showed great commitment toward it. Because of an incident in his past, involving a woman and her child, and the feeling of weakness at the time, he felt the need to learn how to protect others and himself through hakuda. Upon many discussions about different arts and styles, he felt Muay Thai was the way forward.
Seeking out the teachings of the Instructor Shinto Akio, Katsuo put most of his time and effort into learning the martial art. Mastering different forms and combinations, Katsuo is still far from being a Master of hand-to-hand, but has proven to be more than a fair challenge unarmed.

Known Techniques: N/A
0925120304f08cfa13f9cbf6cdad3741.png

Kido Skill Level: Kido Practitioner
During the Shino Academy training, Katsuo did study kido up to a certain level. Kido helped him with the issues of controlling his reiatsu. He practiced enough about kido to know the basic concepts of how to condense and control his reiatsu for the few spells that he has learned.
For the time being, he is content with what he has learned from the academy and in due time will diligently study further to increase his knowledge of kido.

Zanpakuto Name: Rotasu (Lotus)
Zanpakuto Appearance: Rotasu in her sealed state has a silver edge blade. The sheath is of pine wood, painted black and varnished for shine. The hilt is black leather capped together by a silver cap. The guard of the blade is also made of silver. One thing to notice about Katsuo’s zanpakuto is that the guard and cap are carved into the shapes of dragons.

kats2zanspirit.png

Zanpakuto Spirit: Rotasu in Katsuo’s inner world appears as a large black dragon. Rotasu is a protective spirit and always willing to teach Katsuo about herself as much as possible. Both him and her have a great, stable relationship with each other.

Inner World: Katsuo’s inner world is a world governed by dark clouds and lightning. The platform in which Katsuo stands as he enters his inner world is also a dark cloud. The world itself doesn’t really change much. Only thing to notice is the colour of the lightning. If it’s white/blue everything is normal, if it’s dark red then something is wrong.

77bf6f183515685afbd1c8ea2f9d8a79.png

Shikai: Inazuma

Release Phrase: Bankatsu Kogeki (Splitting Strike)

Shikai Special Ability: The zanpakuto doesn’t really transform itself into anything fancy. The blade remains of the zanpakuto, but it is encased with lightning. The moment Katsuo uses the command, Katsuo can manipulate whether to have the blade show it’s form or not. It is a melee/mid-range, lightning/electric zanpakuto. He can contain the lightning and release it as he pleases. Reason behind it is because it is a zanpakuto with abilities that drain reitsu rather quickly. Katsuo himself would rather not have to use the shikai. When he releases, or splits the blade into lightning, the blade has the capability of cutting through the toughest Arrancar Hierro. It can be used both defensively and offensively. Locking a blade with another will turn the other weapon into a conductor.

Has not Achieved
Bolt:
Bolt – As the name implies, it’s a bolt of lightning and it is a mid/ranged technique. It is effective between 2 to10 meters. The lightning condenses at the tip of the blade and with a swing of the zanpakuto, the lightning flies out like a spear with the intent to pierce. What is extremely dangerous about this technique is the fact it moves almost to the same speed as light. If it pierces through any part of the body, the bolt will explode with a furry of electricity running through every part of the body and will burn it’s target from the inside. If it grazes the target from the outside, it will explode and most likely give the target 2-3rd degree burns.

Has not achieved

Bankai:
Buso-o (Armed King)

Bankai Special Ability: Armed Emperor is a full body type bankai. The skies turn black and lightning strikes at Katsuo, transforming his skin into scales, his arms are further enhanced by draconic plated armour and a scaly mask moves over his mouth. Sparks of red lightning fly from inside his scales. Their only purpose is to fuel Katsuo’s entire body with light, enabling him to move much faster with his shunpo. His bankai is mostly a melee type but has one ranged attack. With this release also come a few extra perks, his physical strength is enhanced to that of a dragon. It explains why Katsuo mainly focused on being a melee fighter. Achieving this bankai, he trained physically for about 50 straight years. His skin is also dragon scale, so it is very difficult to pierce through, but not impossible. Like his shikai and this has no off or on switch, he can only maintain bankai for a short amount of time.

Bankai Technique: Emperor’s Flash – Moving faster with vastly enhanced shunpo, this serves mostly as a moving ability. Has no other special trait. Can be very difficult to pin-point Katsuo’s endgame manoeuvre.

Bankai Technique: Emperor’s Roar – An explosive roar of thunder and lightning. This is his only ranged attack. It is effective between 5-30 meters. A large roar of lightning, capable of burning and paralysing it’s target. Paralysis may last up to 5 minutes depending on how strong or weak their reitsu is. An Espada level or Captain’s level reitsu will only be paralysed for about 1 minute, Lieutenant and low level arrancars are paralysed for 3 minutes and levels lower than that for a maximum of 5. Burns will result to 3rd degree to Captain level or Espada level and any rank below that suffer from 4th degree burns.

Biography: Katsuo was born in the Rukon District. His family was poor, his father barely made any income and his mother was too ill to work. He also had or has a sister (Does not know if she is still alive.). When he was 8 years old, his mother died from her heart disease and his father had completely broken down; banishing Katsuo from the family, the boy was left alone to fend and feed for himself. From there, the once sweet mommies boy had changed into a rascal, stealing food and making the lives of others’ in the district a living hell. It was the last he saw of his family since that time.
At 12 years of age Katsuo’s life had changed drastically. He was an unknown witness of the sudden fissures that had appeared in many places of the Seireitei, Hueco Mundo and Human World. He had seen several kidnappings happen at once right before his eyes. Not knowing what had happened or what he had witnessed, he fled almost immediately in fear. It was then that something deep inside of him had awakened, a voice calling out to little Katsuo. He thought he was simply hearing things, or going absolutely delusional.
A few years go by, now being the age of 17, the voices have become a lot more apparent in his life. He had grown accustomed to hearing them. At this time, Katsuo managed to build a life for himself. During the span of 5 years, he had learned how to draw and he put his art to great use. Selling paintings and such to earn a living. One day as he walked the streets of the Rukon, he was witnessing a masked person trying to mrder a woman and her child. No longer being the scared child that he once was, he jumped straight at the man, having blocked the knife that was moving downward on the woman with both his hands in a cross above his head. Just as he had told them to run, the man flipped the knife onto the hand which was free and thrusted it straight into Katsuo’s abdomen. Katsuo’s eyes widened from the sheer pain he was feeling when the blade stabbed him.
The assailant yanked the blade out of him and began to chase the woman and child. Katsuo knees shook violently before giving way and falling to his knees and then followed by his face into the dirt. His eyes began to shift upward as he was going in and out of consciousness, his left hand pressing against his bleeding wound. In his head, he never once thought about himself, instead it was all about, ‘’I failed to protect them..’’ constantly playing in his head like a broken record. It was at that time that the voice had become so clear, shouting at him, ‘’Stand, hear my mighty roar.. Fight!’’. Katsuo’s eyes shot right open, the colour of his hues had shifted into a crimson red, brimmed with unknown power. The voice was that of a female, calling out to him so strongly. A white blue aura formed around him as he stood up, a little bit of blood trickling from his lips. People around him had no idea what they had been witnessing, except for a few Shinigami who had appeared running because of the commotion. In that single instant, Katsuo dashed toward the assailant and it took only a couple of seconds to reach him before the man could reach the woman and her child. With a full swing of his right hand, he cleanly severed the man’s head from his shoulders. The reitsu emanating from Katsuo resembled that of lightning as it sparked and snapped around him. It was completely unstable and he was fuelled by rage.
Having seen what Katsuo was capable of, one of the shinigami had appeared behind him and knocked him out. It was then he was taken to the 13 Court Guards where he was given two choices. Be arrested for murder or join the shinigami.
His choice after that is a little obvious.. His new journey had begun.

Notable Features:
Ayaresize.png

Aya is a youthful woman that is above average height. She has long white hair that reaches to her ankles with fringes that rests just inches above her eyes, concealing a small scar on the right side of her forehead. Often recognized by her distinctive features, Aya also possesses heterochromia iridium, which causes her left eye's iris to appear candy-blue like hue. At the same time, her right is a somewhat pastel-pinkish hue. She wears simple studded earrings in each of her ears that row from her lobe to her cartilage. Being a Shinigami of the Gotei 13, Aya dons the standard shihakushō, which has a cupcake pin clipped on the collar of her uniform.

Personality:
An incredibly quirky girl, with a serene disposition and many eccentric beliefs and qualities. She was a complete nonconformist; she lacked self-consciousness and was not afraid to show who she truly was. Aya was also intelligent and unusually perceptive, this being confirmed by her having been accepted into the Thirteenth division. Although many thought Aya was bizarre, those in the Thirteenth division eventually became very fond of her. Aya's demeanour and voice were often distant and dreamy; when she did talk, that is. She often drifts away from conversations she doesn't find interesting. However, whenever someone made fun of the Thirteenth Division or its members, the dreamy quality in her voice would vanish and be replaced by one of steel. She would immediately become outraged and quite possibly hostile, though she can take a joke, as long as she knows it's a joke.

Despite her friendly-looking babyface, Aya is quite a distant person. You will rarely hear Aya's voice unless speaking an incantation or ordered to do so by a higher-up. If you wish to converse with Aya, she will reply using a notepad that she carries around at all times. This method may appear slow, but her hands dance across the pages swiftly, like writing was her first form of speech.

Growing up, Aya's mother was a jack-of-all-trades when it came to hobbies. Gardening, cooking, Shogi, Martial Arts, taste-testing, etc. So Aya also developed the habit of trying everything at least once. However, unlike her mother, if Aya liked something, then she'd stick with it. Though, sometimes that was only for some time. The only thing she'd ever taken to was pole vaulting and yoga.

Aya was born to be bubbly and happy. It seemed as though nothing would bother this problemless girl, but, she was surprisingly mentally fragile. The death of her parents was so overwhelming that she had almost killed herself by doing nothing. She didn't eat, drink, move, talk or socialize. All she did was sleep and hope that she wouldn't wake up the next day. She almost destroyed the relationship between her and her Zanpakuto during this time. She became unstable, and the issue of her being "mute" stemmed from this event. Now, she only talks if she wants to or needs to, but even then her voice is quiet and lacks any real life.

Reiryoku Level: High
Within Aya contains a notable spiritual power, much that once would emit from her small frame uncontrollably. Her potential growth in housing such spiritual energy so far has made her content with where she stands. Boasting such a level of power has proven beneficial to Aya, her use of Kidō on the offense and defense is more effective than average.

Reiryoku Control: Great control
After arduous training from her parents and instructor(s), as well as the expertise of her classmates in the Academy, Aya managed to control her Reiryoku to a high degree. Commanding such a degree of control made it challenging for those gifted with sensory perception to detect her presence as she was able almost entirely to cut off the emission of her spiritual pressure. Although, through high levels of regulation, her Kido, Hakuda, Hoho, Zanjutsu and Bojutsu levels have improved greatly with untapped potential yet to be discovered. Though her emotions were a big part in her lack of control over her Reiryoku and this is why she shows minimal emotions of fear that her Reiryoku may spin out of control.

Sensing Reiryoku: Expert
A rarity, Aya has the innate ability to detect and identify individuals by the sense of hearing and smell. From a great distance, Aya is able to recognize one's reiryoku pattern based on their scent, and the distinctive sound and/or tone an individual gives off, especially individuals that are close friends and associates to her. Aya picks up on particular patterns that involves these two senses by focusing on the type of reiatsu one emits.

Zanjutsu Level: Expert
From a young age, Aya was trained with sparring sticks/wooden rods to use a sword/staff by her father, all to help prepare her to enter the Shin'ō Academy. They hoped her Shikai would be a blade of some type, but were shocked to find her Zanpakuto Shikai was, in fact, a 6'3 staff.
Aya is highly skilled in using their Zanpakutō while sealed, though there will be instances where she makes mistakes due to her Shikai being a staff, it isn't often that she gets to use her swordsmanship abilities. Aya sits on the brink of expert level, and it is doubtful she would reach Bankai within the next 30+ years, especially since she currently lacks the motivation to continue expanding on her level/skills in all departments.
Aya is also very well versed at controlling pole/staff like weapons and could use any sturdy pole-like object to fight low-level opponents if her Zanpakuto isn't at hand. She can easily adjust herself to suit the weight of the pole/staff as she uses such weapons as extensions of her limbs.
Known Techniques:
Suikawari (西瓜割, Watermelon Splitting)
Senmaioroshi (千枚卸, thousand-page Wholesale)
(Below are techniques used only when Aya handles a staff)
Empty-hand-fighting/karate
Shōrin-ryū
Shotokan (松濤館流 Shōtōkan-ryū)

Hohō Level: Expert
Aya is considerably fast and can maintain high-speed movements for extended periods. While not as fast as a master, she can keep up quite effectively. She is just over the boundary of Expert and nowhere near close to perfecting her expert level.
Aya is very lightweight, and even when lounging around, the sound of her footsteps is non-existent. The training she received growing up also contributed to the lack of sound she makes when she walks.

Known Techniques:
Utsusemi (空蝉, Cicada):
Aya can move at high speed to avoid an attack, leaving an afterimage which can appear to have taken damage.

Hakuda Level: Average.
Aya is well versed in hand-to-hand combat in instances where she is lacking in a weapon or needs the use of the skill to give her an edge in battle.

Known Techniques:
Taketonbo

Kido Skill Level: Expert.
Aya can use mid-level spells to significant effect even without incantation, though she generally uses incantations for higher-level spells to ensure maximum power. She favours Hadō (破道, Way of Destruction; Viz "Path of Destruction") and Kaidō (回道, Turn Way): Also known as healing Kidō (治療用鬼道, chiryōyō kidō; Viz "Healing Spiritual Arts").

Skills and Abilities:
Highly Flexible:
Aye is considered extremely flexible thanks to her years of trying out every sport that was recommended to her. She did gymnastics for many years before moving on to doing yoga daily.

Smell and hearing:
Her sense of hearing and smell had been held in high praise for the extensive ability to detect various beings based on their actions they perform and the situations they're in. Such innate senses allow her to act accordingly. For hollow, Aya recognizes that they all give off a horrendous stench. The type of hollow determines the unpleasant odor. Unlike a Hollow, Shinigami and Human Beings/Human Mediums do not have a collective odor, permitting Aya to acquire their personal scents to recognize them later.

Zanpakuto Name:
Reclining Dragon Foam (泡臥龍, lit. "Garyuawa")

Zanpakuto Appearance:
Suds-Commission-2-1.png

Aya's sealed Zanpakuto is in the form of a blue and white katana with a pink sheath. The hilt of her Zanpakuto has a train of silk dangling from it that Aya can grab and change the length of the material at will since Aya often grabs it and swings it around like she swings her staff around.

Zanpakuto Spirit:
Garyuawa.png

Garyuawa has candyfloss pink hair and light blue eyes. These are the colours of its master's eyes, a signature trait between Zanpakuto spirit and master. The most notable features of this spirit are her horns and floppy ears, most commonly found as features on a ram. Garyuawa is dressed in grey wool with red bows and golden bells attached to her dress, gloves and shoes which make a lot of noise when she walks, unlike her master who is silent even when wearing two bells on the end of her sleeves during training.
Unlike Aya, Garyuawa is a loud-mouth, unruly, reckless and foul - Despite her cute but mature looks.

Inner World: Aya's inner world is a bright foamy island filled with bubbles. Due to how the island is, it's tough to navigate and find your way around. The island is surrounded by an ocean of extremely thick foam that sucks in whoever falls into it. Although the island looks very fun, colourful and quite literally very bubbly, the world is perilous. You will suffocate in foam, and if you don't pay enough attention and accidentally wander into one of the huge bubbles, you will immediately be crushed and compressed before the bubble pops and reforms a moment later. To survive in said world, your will must be steeled, and you must never let down your guard. However, now that Aya has controlled her Zanpakuto, she can freely move the island around and use it; however she sees fit.

Release Phrase: Suffocate, Garyuawa.

Shikai:
Shikai.png

When releasing her Zanpakutō, it deconstructs into little groups and clusters of soap and foam. The foam forms and manifests into the form of what appears to be a spear styled Shakujō. The Shakujō is a few inches taller than Aya, standing at 6'3" in length. Aya often playfully refers to it as her "bubble wand".

Shikai Ability:
The name of Garyuawa's power in Shikai is; Otaki no Awatoki (泡常小滝, "A Cascade of Endless Foam"). While Aya can use the Shakujō much like a spear to stab, jab and slash from a distance, giving her an extended reach, most opponent's overlook the ring which the blade is mounted upon, from the ring, Aya releases anywhere between a cluster of bubbles, to larger bubbles. Many are taken aback by the playfulness of the display, unaware of the dangers they hold. The bubbles while floating like their typical harmless variants are anything but such, each one striking with massive concussive force, capable of breaking and shattering stone or denting the metal. When she does choose to allow the bubbles to pop, they release the compressed air in the form of concussive blasts of air. Aya can create a single larger bubble that appears to be dual faceted, serving as both a prison and a shield respectively, depending on how she chooses to use it. The bubble floats, guided by Aya towards her opponent, slowly absorbing them once contact is made until they're encapsulated completely. The bubble is incredibly malleable and resistant to attacks, stretching and contorting from physical attacks while causing attacks like cero and hado to ricochet off the surface inside. It's considered trying to pop the bubble. While struggling to free themselves from the confines of their prison, they are generally distracted from Aya compressing the bubble, unaware that they are slowly being crushed until it's too late. Aya at times will use this particular bubble to protect herself or others, foregoing the compression abilities to utilize it as a barrier against attacks.

Personal Relationships:

Izanagi Kiyoshi:
Aya had met Izanagi when they were both children, Aya being the older. She saw Izanagi running from a shop-keeper after stealing food. She had been saving money from the age of four and had quite a lot saved up, so she offered to pay for his food. Afterwards, Aya dragged Izanagi back to her house and forced him to bathe, eat and dressed him in some of her pyjamas. After they ate and conversed, Aya sent the boy on his way with a bag full of food, including the food he had previously tried to steal and another bag filled with clean clothes for him to wear. She only realized when he was gone that she did not ask his name. Weeks later, she saw the same thing happening again with the same boy and yet again paid for his items. Though, after yet again dragging him back to her house, she finally learned his name. After that, Izanagi and Aya became best friends and grew up together for years until one day, Izanagi stopped coming to see her and eventually, Aya forgot his name and face.

Oyama Hoshi:
Aya has always enjoyed the happy-go-lucky Oyama. Of course, Aya is older and taller than this extremely young girl, but Oyama also has a higher position than Aya. So, while Aya views Oyama as a cute younger sister, she also gives Oyama the respect she deserves. Oyama's hair is such a beautiful colour, one of Aya's favourite colours which automatically causes Aya to reach out and rub the girl's head. However, she knows that Oyama also has another side to her - Furia. Aya isn't nor is fond of Furia, she doesn't particularly have an opinion on her but knows very well when Oyama and Furia have switched places. Of course, Aya isn't rude to Furia; Aya gives her the same respect she gives to Oyama. She knows that when Furia is around that it's probably best to avoid the bloodthirsty girl before you get roped into something unpleasant but will often cook meals and snacks for Furia and leave them on the table for Furia to eat if and when she wants them.

Katsuo Oda:
Aya finds Katsuo's height to be an annoyance. More-so because she's used to being taller than most people she's met, even if it's by one inch or one foot. She views him as an obnoxiously bright person that you just can't help squinting at, wondering how it was you came to know such a...colourful person. Aya has always been light on her feet and able to keep up with most very well, having such a huge amount of stamina. However, just looking at how active and energetic Katsuo is tired Aya out to the point she takes catnaps in trees that Katsuo may not be able to find her in. From the moment Aya met Katsuo, she assumed him always to be energetic, happy and bright. However, she was extremely surprised the first time she saw his concentrated and serious appearance. Though, despite it all, Katsuo is one of the very few that Aya actually likes and secretly enjoys being around.

Xiaolin-New-HS.png

Xiaolin:
]Aya had met Xiaolin through her parents who were previously students at the Yuinzang Temple, despite them being much older than Xiaolin. She was a few years away from entering Shin'ō Academy when she was first introduced to Xiaolin and often openly expressed her doubt for his age after seeing how young he looked and his condescending and nonchalant attitude. Aya pestered him for a long time about joining the Yuinzang temple after her parents recommended her to join. Unfortunately, he denied her admission but despite being a headmaster and Shinigami, he trained her privately. During the time they spent together at this point, Aya had grown overly attached to Xiaolin and referred to him as ‘Onii-san’ rather than his name, while they both viewed each other as siblings despite their lack of blood ties, Ayako adored him and would try to be around him as much as possible until she entered the Academy where they had very minimal time together but would say hello here and there when they both had time. After she joined Division Thirteen and found her parents dead, Xiaolin became Aya’s sole family and she leaned on him much more than she ever had, like all her training had gone to waste as she became so weak that she didn’t want to leave his side, but they both had duties to do so she tried her best to pull herself together. Xiaolin was the last person to hear Aya speak and would then communicate with him through a notepad. When he defected, Aya used her voice to speak to anyone for the last time.
