He’d hardly been at the 12th Division for a few moments before being bombarded by a small crowd. Questions, most of which he had himself, came flying towards him with a fierce expectation for answers. Mild, well-controlled breaths spewed over his lips, each small gust rustling loosened beard hairs beneath. For a moment he’d say nothing, peering out into the distance again, wondering just what was happening in the Central District. More than likely, many of the others would begin to flock there. Higen had known better, though, understanding the mistake it was to approach the Head Captain or even his Vice-Captain during high octane combative moments. Everyone was more likely to get in the way or get themselves killed rather than offer any form of assistance. There was no way he could get the message to stay away out on time, if his assumptions were correct, things were probably already in motion. Eyes of garnished sapphire peered down towards the trio in which he towered over, his heroic pose still in use.
I’m afraid I’m in the dark just as much as you all. Sitting here talking about things won’t do anyone any good, though. You two..
He paused for a moment, a slight shift in his posture was accompanied by a rising right arm, his fingers pointed at the blue haired girl and blonde haired boy; they seemed to be a duo of some kind. Every able body person was to be in use during times of crisis, they were no exception.
Head to the Northeast Seiretei, confirm the status of the 7th Division Barracks as well as assist the Fourth Division with their casualties and injuries, I’m sure they could use some extra hands.
The odd, whimisical-looking male that had exited from the Institute then caught his attention. Higen had little time to glance at the interesting speaking device, or even ask any questions that his youthful, curious nature seemed to be begging to ask.
I don’t think the two events are connected, but were you here when my hollow head arrived earlier today? I’m extremely anxious to see the results of the preliminary tests. Something's afoot, I’m just not sure what.
Any Captain would have taken initiative and sent higher seated members to secure the remainder of the Seireitei, it was simply protocol. For their benefit, it was best if the order was taken without defiance or hesitation. With his inquiries, perhaps some insight into the strange hollow activity would be given. As time passed, he was sure more would be revealed about the intentions of the Second Division captain as well, or whomever had been responsible for this premeditated attack on the Gotei 13.

Katsuo blinked repetitively while listening to captain Higen explain he didn't know what was going on himself. As he spoke Katsuo twisted his head somewhat not believing the captain when he told them he knew nothing… he figured he did this to keep lower seats like themselves from getting in the way of Captains and Lieutenants. He thought it best as well, seeing as the higher ups seemed more than capable of taking care of what was going on. He was quickly figuring out what was really going on, but disregarded it as not his business. So long as those not involved don't get killed. After Higen was done directing them with further instructions, seeing as division 13 had no captain or lieutenant, he'd salute to the squad ten captain and look to Oyama to see if she was going to tag along to division seven or head for squad four.
"Sir, Yes Sir!"
He'd flash step and meet back with Oyama, not looking back. He did have to discuss with her what she wanted to do, he thought it best to move together in case enemies showed, but thought they were both capable of defending themselves rather well. He had full faith in Oyama, all of his squad mates, wherever they may be. If his dream to become Captain of his division would come true, he needed to believe in them.
"Oya.. what do you think we should do? Split up, or do this together?I won't mind either way. Though there is always more strength in numbers."
He said, giving her that creepy cheerful smile he gave her when they first met. Katsuo was always this way, for as long as he can remember. Even before he was adopted by a high class clan like the Oda. The children that found him alone in the rukon with no physical memory of who he was before or how he came here would be happy for him. Because of his and another young man's stupidity, they would still be alive and well. Never Again. making the same mistakes was not an option, learning from them was the best way to go.
"you didn't ask him."
Katsuo looked up and away from Oyama hearing his Zanpakuto again and sighed. Just shut up and wait. So impatient. he would turn and head toward division seven as Higen asked soon after. Whether Oya wanted to come with him or go to division four instead was up to her.

The moment had passed for everyone it seems. There she was breathing just a bit heavier, but slowing it down, taking in deeper breaths before finally standing herself as her eyes turned back to blue. To which once she stood she had heard the captain speak, saying he was on the same level of information as they all were. She still stood listening in and gaining orders to head off look at a status of 7th division, then to provide physical aid to 4th division to which she would nod before speaking.
“Yes Captain!”
With that Katsuo would shunpo towards Oyama, his back turned away from hers, before she would move herself to turn facing the mans direction, as he began to speak, to which she closed her eyes, smiling before tilting her head as he mention strength in numbers.
“I agree strength in numbers, be easier if we cover each others back.” she spoke with confidence, as she placed her hands behind her back, though in the back of her head she was thinking where the hell was it; with that she would open her eyes to see that creepy smile, almost making want hit him the hilt of her zanpakuto. Thoughs he returned the smile. Though he would turn away looking in a direction.
“Would you be so kind as to lead the way Katsuo” again she spoke with a smile though the corner of her lip would twitch; partly due to her own incomptance of the lay out of the Seireitei and that creepy little smile he gave her.

Katsuo smiled and nodded like some weird alien being toward Oya before dashing ahead of her. He sure hoped she could keep up with his constant training process. It was obvious he knew the streets of the seireitei and rukongai fairly well, if he was in the world of the living she would see the same reaction to never hesitating. A quick dash from his position beside her and in only a few seconds he was thirty feet ahead.
"I sure hope you can keep up, 4th seat Oyama Hoshi!"
He said, releasing a maniacal laugh. By the end of this day Oyama may be worn the hell out. Oh well. She'd definitely get a lot of training in. No pain, no gain. Katsuo was one to push himself to the limit, to the max, to get better everyday. His Reiatsu control plays a big part in his Shikai, so training any way he can was his best chance at achieving his dream. The Rukongai. It was a place meant to be a resting place for lost and wandering souls… yet it's plagued by random hollows, famine, and rouge shinigami… illness. The further out from the seireitei you lived, the worse it got.
Katsuo was from the furthest areas in the south rukon. When he arrived he had no memory of who he was before, like some of the souls that came through. It didn't stop him from making friends with the other children that had found and named him when he had no name, or one he could recollect. Still, the only ones that knew of his true origins were Kyoki and Ten'yuu Oda. Whenever anyone asks why he didn't look like his brother he'd simply say he was adopted from the Rukon. That's how amazing the Oda are. unlike other high standard clans the Oda looks at one's inner potential rather than where one comes from. Kyoki and Ten'yuu thought he would fit right in, and they weren't wrong.
"Time to see what you can Do!"
he said, hoping his voice would carry over to Oya before they began making their way toward the 7th Division Barracks in the Northeast Seireitei.

Her eye brow twitched along with the corner of her mouth at the challenge and laughter he had made; her hand reaching over to grip onto her hilt but quickly stopping herself while speaking underneath her breath, “No body will know… No body will know…” all the while her eyes still stayed closed with her hand gripping ever so tightly on her zanpakuto, just waiting for her chance, but for now it didn’t seem right… What with a captain in sight to possibly give punishments. Though her eyes snapped open as Katsuo would speak once more, though it felt like a challenge in his statement, along with it being distance.
From the looks of it, he had already put 10 yards inbetween the two of them, to which she shook her head and had to use shunpo, just to catch the distance between the two, before nearly slipping on the roof tile; only catching her balance before quickly running behind, though she had a distance about five feet behind him, before hearing him speak, about seeing what she could do. Her eyes flared up for a moment, as she huffed from both catching her breath; Again this had made her think about hitting the member of the oda family, though at his currant pace it would be impossible, though a thought came to mind, one that would tackle him once they reached their destination, but she had hopped she was gonna have the energy to do such a thing after running with him, along with her training herself to exhaustion earlier didn’t help, for now she was biding her time.
