In the depths of the Twelfth Division, the hive of brilliant minds; the thinkers, creators, scientists of every field — two of the brightest convene in the dark, where ideas are spoken, thoughts exchanged, and secrets revealed.
A person stands amongst them, more accurately...between them. The individual’s appearance is indisputably silent, unannounced and certainly, unexpected. Their face, body and even eyes hidden behind their uniquely tailored uniform, masking their expressions and identities. From the crimson color of their ensemble, and their mysterious arrival, it could only be a messenger from the Inner Court Troops.
The messenger’s head never veers towards the glowing data, they show no signs of interest or curiosity towards what the two men are busying themselves with. The messenger merely turns towards the red headed Lieutenant and silently presents an envelope to him, the signet of the First Division sealing its contents.

Quote:To Lieutenant Kyōraku:
I wish to speak with you; I have questions regarding your research. I await you in my office. Sincerely, Head Lieutenant Oki
Though the messenger says nothing, it's clear from action alone that the contents of its message were solely for Nozamu’s eyes alone. Upon taking the letter, the messenger’s form would shimmer and fade from view, leaving the men to themselves once more.
A message from the popular yet distant Lieutenant Oki, what could this mean for Nozamu and, which particular research was she inquiring about?

It appeared that Kurotsuchi was incredibly interested in each of the files that were strewn upon the screen, the only curiosity Nozamu felt at the moment though is what truly piqued his interest as there were so many different things to choose from. Intricate drawings that detailed how reiryoku surged through the reiatsu vents in order to produce the different effects Shinigami used in Kido, how to properly manifest your reiryoku through your body to temporarily increase your durability or strength and so many other things of the sort. However Nozamu’s curiosity suddenly changed when a man finally stood between them, they seemed like nothing more than a lost soul between the two yet it knew where it wanted to be and where it wanted to be was directly in front of Nozamu. He presents the envelope that was given to him to deliver, the signet of the First Division was the only thing keeping it closed and for a moment the Red Headed Demon’s heart drops to the floor, if this man had seen for a second the one file that Nozamu wanted Kurotsuchi to see, then his entire life might have been forfeit from then on. This messenger was never going to know though as Nozamu said nothing to him nor did his demeanor change, he simply nodded his head to the messenger, before he faded from view. Just as any other scientist or normal person for that matter would the Red Headed Demon began to theorize the individuals who were a part of the First Division that might’ve wanted to give him a letter, was it to inform him that they are relieving him of his position or rather that they are in need of his services, it was going to wait for the moment though, as the real secrets were now going to be revealed.
9cc5ea2398de26f7c115b31cefeb0951.png

As Kurotsuchi continued through those files, there was one in particular that was certainly going to stand out to him, unlike the rest of these files it did not have a name nor did it say how many pages there were exactly, it was almost as if the entire document wasn’t even supposed to be there, but yet there it was. If he were to open it then his unsightly eyes were going to read something that seemed even more dastardly than anything else that Nozamu or any other scientist in the twelfth division has come to talk to him about in the past. What this document contained was a detailed theory of how the universe and all the fundamental principles we know today were due to the single entity known as none other than the Soul King, this alone was a concept that was simple enough for one to grasp and if it was the only thing that was in the document, then there wasn’t going to be anything difficult for Kurotsuchi to understand and he might’ve simply went about his business. The one part of this theory that made it truly different was the introduction to a new type of material called Pure Reishi and it was described in the document that this was the one thing that made up the Soul King in his entrity and is what was needed in order to create the universe that they lived in today.
Nozamu stayed entirely silent during Kurotsuchi’s reading, the amount of theorizing that Kurotsuchi was going to do was going to do was going to be enough to fill the room surely, but what Nozamu did do is begin walking toward the man once again, taking a careful note not to get too close to the man’s hair as there was definitely a chance that there was something growing inside of it or worse. As for his crimson gaze, it did not focus on the hair itself for long, instead it was going to be pinpointed directly at the information that Kurotsuchi was most likely going to be focused on, or at least for the moment it was going to do that as suddenly after the brief overview on Pure Reishi there was nothing but blank pages.
”This is not a bug at all, what you need to do is scroll down to the twelve thousandth page, this was just a precaution in case some individual attempted to break into the files and read the truly dark secrets within’ their contents.”
As his sentenced finished for the time being, he was hopefully going to watch Kurotsuchi do as recommended and scroll down all those pages, if he did then the first thing he was going to read was not too special like he might have thought, instead it was going to be nothing more than the basic knowledge most scientist in the twelfth division knew, which was that Kisuke Urahara and Aizen Sosuke were so far the only two people to develop a device known as the Hogyoku. Research in this document also stated that it was Kisuke who wished to break down the barriers between both Hollow and Shinigami with the Hogyoku and it was Aizen who wished to use it to act as a key to the Soul King’s Palace. They were of course both able to achieve their goals of course due to the Hogyoku’s true power, manifesting one’s desire and it is from here where the document began to take a turn, because rather than assume that it was able to perform such acts due to an immense amount of reiryoku or mystical reishi manipulation, it was actually due to the mimicking of the Pure Reishi described above. Kurotsuchi’s reaction was going to have to wait though as before he was even going to get the chance to turn to Nozamu and tell him that this “theory” was completely impossible, illogical or entirely improbable, Nozamu spoke.
”My hypothesis is certainly going to sound like nothing more than an alien concept made up by some bafoon due to the lack of sufficient evidence in the document you are reading and that’s because this information was never supposed to be delivered in a scenario like this. I am sure you remember the Shattered Dimensions event, when the Soul Society went to Hell, quite literally? Oh who am I kidding of course you do, rather do you remember that same day I was supposed to give a special presentation to the heads of the Twelfth Division and the Kido Corps? Well I was going to not only unveil to them what you are reading right now, but I was also going to show them something as well..”
Holding out his right hand the entire holographic scene in front of them was going to begin compressing itself into nothing more than a small cube that began to float right into Nozamu’s palm, its colors began to be a mix of blues, purples and the occasional pinks who’s light pierced through the other colors like the rays of the sun.
b24d70db417fc374cc75853481920b46.png

”In my hand is only a holographic replica of it, but I am sure you are able to understand what it is I am referring too”
As unlikely as it was that Kurotsuchi didn’t understand his reference, it was alright as with a sudden movement of his thumb the cube was going to display a prompt-like message above itself that said two words that held more power than anything else the two scientists were able to conjure up.
Kyōka Hōgyoku
For a moment there was going to be nothing but silence from Nozamu, he was going to allow Kurotsuchi’s mind to wrap around the concept that the man beside him was the only other person besides the other two most brilliant minds in soul society, to not only understand the creation of, but also produce an actual Hōgyoku.
”I unfortunately had to have it sealed away in a secret place that no one other than myself knows about, but I remember its location as clear as day, however I may be willing to retrieve it if we do follow through with our attempts to extract the souls of a Shinigami and a Hollow, though this must be done in secret, we both understand what might happen if certain individuals are able to get their hands on such an item.”
For the first in the entire history between the two of them, Kurotsuchi was going to hear Nozamu let out a small laugh as if to release the stress and tension he felt inside himself from showing this, his hand fell down from its original position and the hologram began displaying the other documents once again that went into detail over the research.
”Immediately after I buried my research that you are reading right now, I began my studies on Hell for I of course was the only person who was talented enough to do so and I truly loved every second of learning about it, but my mind always made me wonder if what happened during the Shattered Dimensions event was due to just a random phenomenon… or was it-”
Nozamu’s sentence was interrupted suddenly as his mind thought back to that day for just a moment, the carnage that was wrought forth, then the consequence they all faced when Shobatsu emerged from his eternal bindings and beat the entire Gōtei with incredible ease. Then his mind raced back even further to when he was developing the Hōgyoku, reading how it makes sure that history takes its proper course to bend to the will of the user and once again he felt the guilt weigh down upon him, because what people didn’t know is that for many years now, Nozamu had felt like it was his fault all along that the Shattered Dimensions event happened and it was the original reason why he sealed away the Hōgyoku in a special place, but as the clocks ticked down to the day his mind dreamed of, he decided it was time to throw away his belief that it was his fault.
”It doesn’t matter anyways, it's time for me to look into this letter.”
Lifting the letter that was given to him moments ago he was going to see the Symbol of the First Division, Nozamu stared at it long and hard before he let out a chuckle, it was sort of funny how something so light was able to carry such weight in importance, but now was the time for him to slide his finger underneath the seal and open it up.
The message was simple.
Quote:To Lieutenant Kyōraku:
I wish to speak with you; I have questions regarding your research. I await you in my office.
Sincerely Head Lieutenant Oki
A sigh of relief escaped Nozamu’s lips before he spoke to Kurotsuchi.
”Someone is requesting my presence at the First Division, it must be dealt with immediately. I entrust you to keep this research safe and silent, if a single word got about what we are discussing here then we might have a nasty situation on our hands, however I do wish to talk with you about it once again when I make my return.”
In the instant of a second, Nozamu grabbed his Denrishiki X alongside both of the research papers he placed down previously and appeared in his office which was quite the distance from Kurotsuchi’s lab, while he was in there he laid down the two research papers and began going through various files within’ his desk that were of the utmost importance to his Hell research as well as the research he used when he taught at the Shin’o Academy before the Shattered Dimensions event.
”Lieutenant Oki.. Lieutenant Oki.. what else could you want..”
His mind wrapped around the various bits of research that he had done in his past, which albeit focused on nothing more than Spiritual Science and Hell itself, still had many different and intricate parts on its own, however he was unable to find what might particularly intrigued her. Rather than leave with the two new files he grabbed from his desk, he decided to also grab another third more secret file that he had been waiting to unveil for a more main event of sorts, after doing so he vanished once again in that instant of a second, off to the First Division where he was going to appear at its gates.

It has been quite a lot of time since Kyo's last mission.
'Pure failure. If only I were capable of better sensing Reiryoku. Or be more capable in Kidō.'
He nodded. He knew his faults. He had even thought of them while at the mission. He had to become better. Stronger. His aim now true.
.
.
.
Currently Kyo was at the Dojo. His mind had once more formed the two mistakes of his life. The mission he had lost his old friend. And the mission with that escaped Hollow.
He took his time. He tested various scenarios. Various `What if` situations.
What if he were faster.
What if the Hollow came to him as planned.
He felt his head in pain. It was the pain of his own failures. His dislike towards failing.
A new dislike of his.
He had felt that his logic was sane. Correct. Perfect. And yet, he failed at the simplest action. To kill the Hollow, as it escaped.
He sighed. His eyes moved about, wondering. He noticed that it was currently day. He had gotten in the dojo itself at such a time.

'I wonder how much time I have been in here.'

He moved his body. His aim was to go towards the 13th Division's main building, check if anyone was there and then move on towards the 4th Division.
There he would inquire if he could meet with the Academy teachers. Maybe, just maybe, he could get the assistance he felt he needed - his first aim to better his own control over Reiryoku, as well as enhance his capability towards sensing it.
Maybe some tips and tricks could assist, was what he had in mind.
While leaving from the dojo, he remembered he had his Denreishinki X upon him.
'I could ask in Flutter if anyone could assist?'
He wondered at how viable such a thing was, having sent a message already.
Nonetheless, his steps would bring him forth - unsure if anyone was at the main building.

----Arriving from North-East Seireitei----
While Shin'eki charged forward, it wouldn't be until both he and Ijoushi reached the boarder of the central line that separated the North East from the North West that Shin'eki would release his grip from his underling's shihakusho collar. The red-haired boy would look forward, a gentle breeze catching his long hair, sweeping it toward the side as he would look toward Ijoushi.
"Gomen, Nii-chan. Seems as though I've dragged you far enough, huh?
Shin'eki would shift his gaze toward the direction from hence the two had come before he'd adjust his focus back to the "mission" at hand. Beginning to walk once again, a visible change had seemingly overcome the shinigami as he continued his trek forward, a change that would undoubtedly be noticed by Ijoushi.
Before Ijoushi could bring up the change in the boy's demeanor, Shin'eki would stop suddenly before the wind blew once more. "You don't need to ask Ijo-chan, I know that you've noticed too. But, don't you find it odd how I can be older than most in our squad, and yet take on the physical appearance of a child? I've always wondered when that change would come, I've watched the people around me age and die, even before I became a Shinigami...
SHineki-Spirit-Commission.png

"I was wondering when you would allow yourself to notice, Bozu..."
Within Shin'eki's inner world, a not-so-familiar-face would begin to emerge from the tangled sinews, it's hand grasping out toward what seemed to be freedom, as the figure was seemingly birthed from the now deteriorating sinews. a physically toned torso would fall toward the ground whilst the being possessed no head nor waist. As what one could only describe as large veins began to erupt from beneath the being's torso, extending back into the organic nest from which it had sprung. A change was occurring.
"That's why we're heading toward 12th. I want to see what tests they can perform, but I'm sure you'll also find something of worth there too Ijo-chan."
A warm smile would cross Shin'eki's face as he looked back toward Ijoushi, while the two weren't related by blood, because honestly, who really was in this world, aside from the noble clans, the two had become inseparable during their time spent together training within the Ninth Division. A bond Shin'eki, and undoubtedly Ijoushi shared that neither wished to sever.

~----Arriving in Northwest Seireitei, from Northeast Seireitei----~
Ijoushi made more mutters and whines as he was pulled, watching as the Ninth Division district faded away, and eased into the Twelfth's territory. It was a bumpy ride, and he felt his geta skidding and clunking against the dull ground, producing mild sounds. His hair--which had been haflheartedly brushed on account of the abruptness of the mission--rose and fell lopsidedly, as did his Shihakusho, which choppily bounced, controlled almost entirely by Shin'eki, and his unorthodox might. Ijoushi expelled another sanguine sigh, and let the pulling continue, his smile still vaguely present.
Upon his release, Ijoushi exhaled, somewhat relieved to have the strain taken off. The boy settled himself into a more sensible position, and raised his head, listening to his upperling's remarks.
"You don't need to ask Ijo-chan, I know that you've noticed too. But, don't you find it odd how I can be older than most in our squad, and yet take on the physical appearance of a child? I've always wondered when that change would come, I've watched the people around me age and die, even before I became a Shinigami...
This was true. Shin'eki's stagnant stature was certainly unusual, and even he had mistaken him for a child several times. He never seemed to grow out of his childlike state, and oftentimes his character was even immature.
"That's why we're heading toward 12th. I want to see what tests they can perform, but I'm sure you'll also find something of worth there too Ijo-chan."
"Oh, okay. That sounds like a good plan...!"
Although his comment was generally collected and stolid, intrigue was visible on the boy, and he wore an attentive expression. Ijoushi had been wondering the same thing his brother had for many years, to the extent that he bore the same amount of curiosity as him, maybe even more. As for himself, Ijoushi felt rather content with his current state, but supposed maybe he could get some minor tests or experiments done.
Snakeshini2.png

Shin'eki had riled him up, and Ijoushi beamed as he looked forth, his body seeming anchored forwards. He gave Shin'eki a wholehearted glance of enthusiasm, and then commenced the walk at a brisk pace, beckoning for his physically stunted brother to follow.
"Well then, let's arrive in a swift fashion!!"
