Notable Features:
Tatsuya doesn’t have anything that makes him any different from the rest, his appearance is quite plain, normal, to say the least. He has long black hair that is tied into a low ponytail with a messy fringe that covers his forehead. His height is above average, but he is by no means as tall as some of the other people in the Soul Society, he’s still slightly taller than the average adult, that’s for sure. If he were to have a trademark feature it will be the tired and bored expression he always has on his face. Which often leads people to believe that he has slept little to no rest, which half of the time might not necessarily be true. He walks in a particularly laid-back manner and tends to slouch. Always maintains a poor posture with a flat back and his head slightly forward.

In terms of appearance, he wears a shihakushō with a lab coat over it as a member of the Shinigami Research and Development Institute which is usually worn loosely. Overall Tatsuya seems to care very little about his looks.

Personality:
Tatsuya's most notable qualities are his lazy and laid-back personality, often making him seen as a carefree person without any regard for his surroundings. Most of the time he would be seen actively avoiding doing any type of work that he considers boring or pointless, instead, he would prefer to take a nap to “restore” his energy. His usual demeanor changes whenever he finds something that attracts his interest, he would focus on it and approach it in an energetic and serious manner.

A lazy man that would rather talk his way out of a problem or fight, mostly considering it a waste of time or drag where he could spend his time on better things. Conflict is unnecessary and often brings consequences that end up being a hassle for both sides. While he is not by any means a peacekeeper of sorts, as long as said conflict doesn’t affect him in the short or long term then it doesn’t matter to him. He enjoys making sarcastic remarks, especially about unfortunate things that occur to him.

Outside of his lazy and carefree personality, he is proven to be a cunning person, seeking ways to obtain his desired goal with the least amount of effort possible. Different from other Shinigami that pride themselves on their achievements and power, Tatsuya is indifferent to them. Instead, he strives to make everything as easy and convenient as possible. For anyone that might find themselves getting to know him closer would realize that his lazy personality is nothing more than an elaborated facade in order to deceive anyone around him about his true intellect and abilities. He enjoys deceiving people, giving them a sense of false confidence, and ultimately letting them underestimate his true capabilities.

Reiryoku Level: Great Spiritual Power

From the day of his arrival at the Soul Society, Tatsuya had always possessed an impressive amount level of Reiryoku which allowed him to prevail and survive in the harsh environment that can be some of the districts of Rukongai. Upon joining the Academy he learned how to properly control and hone his Spiritual Power, using it for a variety of purposes. This usually takes form in his Kido Prowess, allowing him to cast multiple spells in rapid succession and use it to enhance his physical abilities.

Sensing Reiryoku: Master

After having spent more than a century as a member of the Onmitsukidō, it was a part of his training to become fully aware of his surroundings and become aware of any subtle anomalies around him. It was essential for him to learn how to properly sense his surroundings and know the location of his target in order to stop them from being asleep. Such skills were often put to the test as a member of the Executive Militia where he had to track down former Shinigami to then detain them or even assassinate them.

His sensing skills further increased through the centuries spent refining his skill. This has allowed him to track any Reiryoku signatures from several miles, no matter how big or small they are. He is able to pinpoint the exact location of the signature with precision, with very few things able to escape his senses such as if the signature he’s tracking is able to completely erase itself.

Reiryoku Control: Mastered Control

As somebody that goes out of his way to do his job with the intention of wasting the least amount of energy possible. Added to the time spent as a member of the Onmitsukidō, Tatsuya has learned to control his Reiryoku to use the least amount of energy in battle and remain undetected. He believes that one should work smarter, not harder and his mastery of Reiryoku Control is proof of it. Using only the amount of energy necessary to get the job done with precision. The ones that carelessly consume their energy will find themselves exhausted quickly, while he strives to be conservative with the amount of energy he uses rather than carelessly use it even if he counts on a vast pool of Reiryoku.

With such mastery, he is able to conceal his presence from both allies and enemies to the point that it would appear as if he isn’t there. Tatsuya often suppresses his Reiryoku completely to render himself invisible from others, or only partially to conceal his true power, either because he desires to avoid conflict or to purposely be underestimated.

Tatsuya has a few centuries worth of combat experience, despite his status as a scientist for the 12th Division he is not exactly somebody easy to deal with. In the rare scenario where he has to engage in a battle, he is capable of exerting his Spiritual Power in the form of Reiatsu. Exerting it as a form of pressure that will intimidate lower spiritual beings and scare them away. Relying it as a way to scare away any lesser beings from a potential threat that they do not be involved.

When he exerts his Reiatsu his entire body is surrounded by a Light Green energy, it doesn’t take any particular form, but rather just covers his body. Just by lightly exerting his Reiatsu everyone in his surroundings will fall under a sense of comfort, and calmness. Whatever it is, it is done on purpose to purposely give his opponent a fall sense of confidence. Upon fully releasing his Reiatsu any opponents or people within his area will feel a sense of unreasonable fear, if any weaker being dares to look at Tatsuya in the eyes they will suddenly feel paralyzed by his glare.

Zanjutsu Level: Expert Swordsman




The most fundamental art that all Shinigami are expected to at least learn properly. Zanjutsu is the most fundamental skill one needs to possess, after all the Zanpakuto is the main source of the Shinigami’s strength. The two are connected and grow powerful together, when the Shinigami obtains new power, so does the Zanpakuto. Most people will be under the impression that Tatsuya lacks skills in Zanjutsu, which is usually quite the opposite.

He possesses great skill in Zanjutsu, although not enough to put him on the level of the masters such as the Captains of the Gotei 13. Due to the nature of his own Zanpakuto’s ability, Tatsuya has consistently trained his skills with the sword. Able to deliver swift and precise strikes on the desired place, often to cripple the enemy with the least amount of effort possible. Using his Zanpakuto’s strengths and exploits them, using his blade as an extension of himself.

Hohō Level: Shunpo Expert




For someone like Tatsuya that possesses a slim build, Hoho is one of the best tools he has available. He likes relying on swiftness to complete his task the fastest way possible so he can go back to doing things he enjoys. For a man that is known for being a slacker, he demonstrates an impressive skill with Shunpo, being able to keep up with individuals that are considered to be masters at the technique. A good portion of his skills in Shunpo comes from his time as a member of the Onmitsukidō, being able to move from one place to another in the least amount of time and steps possible. He is capable of maintaining high-speed movements for long periods of time. Particularly having a preference to use Shunpo to deceive his enemy, or quickly counter-attack the moment he sees any openings.

Hakuda Level: Master Hakuda Combatant




As a scientist and member of the 12th Division, most people will find it hard to believe that a member of that division would hold such a high level of skill in Hakuda. Way before he entered the Academy, Tatsuya lived around the rough parts of Rukongai and often had to fight off attackers in order to preserve his life. By the time he joined the Academy he already had a fair amount of experience in-unarmed combat even if he wasn’t formally trained. During his time in the Academy, he exceeded in Hakuda, possessing incredible hand-eye coordination, and thanks to his enhanced eyesight allowed him to predict the movements of his enemies by just looking at the way their muscles tense up.

His skill further increased the moment he joined the Onmitsukidō and his time spent as a member of the Executive Militia. Specializing in unarmed combat, the punishment, and assassination of ex-Shinigami. He possesses knowledge of multiple ways to take down an enemy without the use of a weapon with speed, precision, and power. His body has honed Hakuda to the point that he’s able to effortlessly defeat a group of unseated Shinigami without a weapon. This places Tatsuya as a deadly opponent, even if unarmed, able to shatter the ground with his raw strength and take down powerful enemies with only his body.

Kido Skill Level: Kidō Master




There are always situations where relying on his Zanjutsu and Hakuda skills is pointless. Long-term engagements tend to happen, or sometimes an enemy is too powerful that getting close is not a choice. Tatsuya has learned through centuries, that sometimes in order to take down an enemy, it is necessary to use alternative methods. This is where Kido comes in, an important skill that he has been focused on improving for the last few centuries. He tends to rely on Kido Spells as a great and effective alternative in battle, this was initially done as a way to cover his weakness which was long-range combat. In order to make use of the full extent of his abilities, he needs to be close, but if he can’t get close then he must find a way to solve that problem. His skill in Kido is a reflection of that mentality and a need to be able to have multiple options in a fight, even if it might be unlikely for him to be in one.

Over time Tatsuya ended up obtaining an expansive understanding of Kido and enjoys using it due to the unique versatility and convenience it provides out of combat and in combat. Especially the applications Kido has for technology and in some scenarios simply an easier way to employ rather than relying on extensive procedures. His theoretical understanding of Kido is so expansive that he’s able to modify incantations of certain spells to suit his needs and experiment with much more efficient ways to perform incantations. Tatsuya is able to recognize a Kido Spell solely based on its incantation being used way before the spell is used against him.

This dedication and interest for Kido throughout a few centuries have led Tatsuya to become a master in the field. Able to cast Kido low to mid-level Kido spells effortlessly without the use of an incantation while retaining their full strength and the ability to cast high-level kido spells with ease.

Skills and Abilities:



Genius Intellect: A skill that is expected as a member of the division that holds the brightest minds in the entirety of the Soul Society. Tatsuya possesses the intelligence of a genius, which is commonly displayed in his inventions and experimentation. As a scientist he holds impressive deductive abilities, allowing him to come up with potential hypotheses and theories about abilities that are unknown to him based on his knowledge. He is quite perceptive, being able to see through people and figure out their true intentions by just merely interacting with them. Most of the time he will always have something up his sleeve in preparation for possible scenarios. The more he knows about his enemy, the better he can hold himself against them and plan several steps ahead for all sorts of adversities he might be forced to face.

Master Engineer: Although Tatsuya is a scientist and possesses knowledge in multiple scientific fields such as biology, physics, and chemistry. His true skill shines the most in engineering, he possesses a gigantic amount of knowledge throughout multiple engineering fields and disciplines such as Mechanics, Electricity, Information, Quantum Engineering, and Nanotechnology. His most dominant field is Nanotechnology where he actively researches the application of technology on a nanoscale. The creation of portable instruments that are much more convenient and easier to carry. Facilitating the transportation of equipment for operations done by the Gotei 13 outside of the Sereitei.

Enhanced Eyesight: Tatsuya possesses superior eyesight than the average Shinigami, a very particular trait that is achieved through passively focusing a certain amount of his Reiryoku on his eyes. He is able to drastically increase his eyesight, although most people will believe that it grants Tatsuya the ability to see things from a longer distance, that isn’t what it does. Instead, it allows him to see things that the average eye would be unable to see, smaller things such as small movements of somebody’s muscles, to the cells or even molecules on one’s body. The smaller the object, the more Reiryoku he requires to focus. It essentially makes his eyes work like a microscope.

Inventions:


Portable Laboratory: An invention and a great convenience in the scenario Tatsuya isn’t near his lab. He carries a smaller replica of his laboratory that has been shrunk down to the size of a microchip and encapsulated to keep its contents protected. The laboratory has been shrunk down after being exposed and then infused with his Zanpakuto’s Reiryoku which allows him to keep it shrunk down even if his Shikai isn’t active. In order for the laboratory to return to its original size, he has to activate his Shikai and expose it to Oikage’s Reiryoku.

The laboratory contains his equipment, which varies from his personal computer to several scientific tools, that are otherwise hard to carry through conventional methods.

Experimental Nanites Injection: An experimental injection that has nanites, or nanorobots that are introduced to the body via an injection. Once inside the nanites quickly start to repair any damaged tissue inside the body by clumping up in the areas where the tissue had been damaged in order to further stop any bleeding, initiating blood clots and closing any wounds present in the body. The injection is able to temporarily speed up the body’s healing process by 120%. Although the injection greatly increases the speed at which the wounds heal. It is better used as a last resort, as the person that has been injected will experience a great number of side effects such as fatigue, nausea, body pain, and even loss of consciousness just a minute after being injected.

Zanpakuto Name: Oikage (追影, Seeking Shadow)
Zanpakuto Appearance: Like many Zapakuto’s in the Soul Society its sealed form Oikage takes the form of a standard katana with its differences being a black handle and tsuba, a crimson red sheath. It measures approximately 70 centimeters.
Zanpakuto Spirit: Oikage takes the appearance of a beautiful woman with long white hair tied back at either side with red tassels. She wears a black and red dress that bears some similarity to a kimono followed by a long European style coat with a high collar that is closed by rope tassels. In terms of personality Oikage seems to maintain a stoic and almost strict demeanor, she doesn’t talk often, but when she does she tends to go straight to the point. However, Oikage deeply cares for Tatsuya and wishes for his full potential to be released, even if she has to put pressure on him.

Inner World: His inner world takes the appearance of what would normally be described as an inverted world, the world is filled with grass that extends as far as the eye can see. Things that will be considered tall or big such as certain trees will instead be small in size, as small as one of his feet. Things such as leaves, or even rocks that are considered small under normal circumstances will be big, sometimes even as big or even twice as big as he is. The size of things inside his world are inverted.

Release Phrase: ”Grow, Oikage”

Shikai: Once the Shikai is released, Oikage takes the form of a Tachi measuring a total of 110 centimeters, a black handle with red linings, and a black star-shaped tsuba. The handle measures roughly around 20 centimeters. A long black blade with a red lining in its center and measuring 90 centimeters. The sword itself isn’t big, or heavy, but instead, it’s long, providing further reach than the average blade.

Shikai Special Ability:

he moment Tatsuya’s Shikai is activated, Oikage holds the ability to change the size of anything that has been touched by its blade, essentially marking it. Weapons, items, surfaces, or even body parts that come into contact with its blade are able to be changed in size by Oikage’s Reiryoku. This grants him the ability to change the size of the marked surface, being able to make it grow or shrink as he desires. The increase or decrease in size is dependent on the amount of Reiryoku used. The effectivity of Oikage's size changing ability also depends on the how much Reiryoku the enemy exerts, making it harder for to make an enemy's weapon or even body part to shrink down. Instead of being an major change if he so desired, it would only be small or gradual.

Any object that has been changed in size by Oikage will also become lighter or heavier depending on whether the object has shrunk or grown from its original size.

Oikage’s ability has a wide variety of applications, both in combat and out of combat. The ability to change an object’s size can be as precise as striking a branch of a tree, changing its size, and making it bigger rather than making the entire tree grow in size. This allows him to change the size of even things such as wounds by increasing their size, making them twice as big and therefore maximizing the amount of damage one can perform. Said ability can also shrink wounds and is usually used by striking himself with Oikage’s blade after the wound is inflicted. This can make any wounds on his shrink, minimizing the amount of damage he has on his body, but this ability isn’t able to actually heal a wound. Such applications allow him to take it a step further, by touching Zanpakuto’s blade he’s able to make his own body shrink or grow.

Biography: [/COLOR]
Like many people that were sent to the Soul Society by the Shinigami, Tatsuya was no exception, having arrived at the Soul Society without any memories of his past. Appearing in Rukongai District 75, one of the roughest districts in the entirety of Rukongai. Often finding himself fighting against bullies that outnumbered him and were twice his size with the desire to just survive to live another day, although he had already died. His first years were tough and it mostly resulted in Tatsuya having to learn to adapt to his new home alone.

An option had presented itself to him many years later, becoming a Shinigami. Although, the Shinigami was known for keeping the balance of souls and ensuring the dead would pass on to the Soul Society. Tatsuya had no particular interest in such a thing with his only desire being to improve his life by living in the Sereitei. Since he had latent Spiritual Powers, he was able to pass Shin'ō Academy’s entrance exam for the first time.

At first, he was a bit reluctant about being a Shinigami, having no real drive or motivation like others did. Tatsuya had an easier time understanding the lessons due to his superior intellect but often found himself doing the minimum to approve his classes while still retaining a good understanding of them. He performed well in the four other styles, but he particularly excelled in Hakuda, which was thanks due to his excellent hand-eye coordination, followed by his previous experience in fighting thugs in Rukongai. Due to this, his skills were quickly noticed by the rest of his classmates and instructors even if it was not originally his intention to do.
Soon after his graduation, he was accepted into the 2nd Division due to his impressive skills in unarmed combat and due to said division’s ties to the Onmitsukidō. He was assigned to the Executive Militia branch where he was taught how to carry out assassinations, covert operations, and intelligence gathering.

Tatsuya spent approximately the next 300 years as a member of the 2nd Division, although he initially didn’t mind performing his duties he started to lose his drive and motivation to continue performing in the division. As he had initially accepted the offer due to his lack of knowledge of what he truly desired to do, instead of picking the first option available for the sake of improving his life. His interests and motivations shifted to the 12th Division and the Shinigami Research and Development Institute.

The full extent of his intelligence was put to the test as a scientist and researcher. Finally, for the first time, he felt true motivation and interest in something, engineering, and science it was something he felt a connection towards. Perhaps it had to do with his previous profession when he lived in the Human World, but his past when he was once alive was irrelevant.

Eizoku Yugameru (永続歪める), is the current standing Third Seat of the Fifth Divison (五番隊, Gobantai; "Squad 5"), within the Thirteen Court Guard Companies. He is currently the youngest seated member of all the current companies, as well as one of the youngest enrolled within the Guard Companies overall. Despite his age however, his prowess in kido in particular, and the exponential increase in the rate of his understanding, development, and execution of his spells, are unparalleled. Managing to rival even some of the Captains of several divisions in regards to his knowledge and execution.

Notable Features: With an air of strict professionalism aided by a natural confidence and poise that demands respect, the first thing typically noticed by those who interact with the young shinigami is his presence itself. Once bypassing the somewhat stifling atmosphere, his most noticeable feature that typically draws the full attention of the onlooker, is his waist length amber-brown dreadlocks traced in gold. The older the man gets, the more gold clippings he seemingly attaches to his hair, currently adorning himself with a total of three. The largest of the three serving to keep his dreads bundled into a ponytail, while the other two remain attached to two individual dreadlocks - each serving as a limiter and suppressant of his own Reiryoku. He currently adorns his crown in six thickened dreadlocks held into a ponytail, with the sides of his head shaved low after an encounter with the flames of Genryusai Yamamoto which singed off the majority of the dreads on his left side.

Personality: Eizoku is a relatively formal young man, being notably decisive in his speech, and intentional in every action he takes. Despite a rather rough and unfavorable upbringing within the outer-most districts of the Rukongai, he is naturally nothing less than graceful and dignified in everything he says and does. Rarely committing to anything without absolute purposeful intent, as his biggest vexation is wasting time or being continuously ineffective or inefficient. He is a highly impatient man, and finds absolutely no delight in lingering or wasting time idling in activities that don't promote continuous growth or progress in some way, shape or form. Because of this unbalanced quirk, when not on duty or assigned with any major tasks, he is often found busying himself training within the recesses of the Fifth Division quarters, or increasing his knowledge elsewhere within the public library archives of the Seireitei. Eizoku is known to utilize his Shikai in the privacy of his living quarters while reading, in order to drastically increase the number of books he is able to complete in one sitting, estimated to be around no less than fifty per hour. With his genius intellect, and an insatiable drive for knowledge, Eizoku is able to not only remember every word of a piece of literature he has read, but is also able to recite it back word for word without error. Because of this factor in general, the young male has always excelled in all his studies, and has memorized the standardized textbooks and laws of Soul Society from cover to cover.

Obdurate in his beliefs, standards, and morals, he is unwavering in the face of pressures and stress when it pertains to his values of morality, justice, and honor instilled into him. Because of this factor, he is able to maintain a professional, yet refreshingly genuine and serene air about himself - while also holding a heavy influence on those he chooses to associate with. Although, his manner of speech aided with a prolonged presence has been known to inevitably create a rather stifling atmosphere amongst the more lively members of his division or those within his immediate company.

Despite being an active soldier, Eizoku isn't fond of violence in itself, and often takes preventative measures to both warn and avert his opposer from taking a course of action that could potentially lead to fatal altercations. However, despite being against the acts of brutality, he is far from being a pacifist, and rather enjoys the thrill and exhilaration that battle brings because of the knowledge that can be obtained from participation. He views every battle as a means for of obtaining more knowledge. Allowing him to truly test the extents of his analytical and strategical prowess, while executing his own series of traps and techniques.

Development Through a Zanpakto:
Eizoku's development is heavily do to both the connection and ability of his Zanpakto. With the ability to absorb and freely manipulate and utilize time overall, Eizoku has ingeniously used this as a way to significantly speed up his training processes - developing and perfecting a multitude of styles in the process. While also inadvertently challenging and improving his overall base stats as well. The ability to do so has earned Eizoku the alias of being a "prodigy". However in actuality, his development as far as the rate in which he achieves and masters disciplines and arts, is completely due to the ability of his blade. When in an active Shikai state, the world outside of his domain, passes by at an extremely slow pace, nearly stagnant, and remains as such so long as he has his blade within his grasp. When in this state, his development and improvement to him, appear to be going at the same rate as the typical Shinigami around him, however in actuality, Eizoku's improvement is nearly ten times that of what a typical training of the sorts would do to him or any other Shinigami. This however does have extreme repercussions on Eizoku's body after the effects of continuous use weigh in. Typically causing physical damage across the board unto his body. This drawback initially impeded his progress, resulting in him initially avoiding such training methods for quite an extensive period of time. Over time however, after mastering the use of his ability even further, he found it possible to key in on smaller more notable aspects to apply the ability of his Shikai to, eventually discovering that it could be used as a healing method, significantly expediting the natural recovery rate and process of his wounds, both internal and external. His proficiency of this ability, is so masterful that enemies will often find should they not inflict a debilitating blow in a decisive strike, the wounds, however shallow, would seem to heal instantaneously. Having found such a counter to the extreme fatigue and heavy physical toll that his initial training inflicted, he again began his training regiment once more, and continuously improved at an astounding rate, focusing in mainly on the aspects of Kido and Zanjutsu, whilst the fatigues experienced raised his stamina and other relative base stats all around.​

Reiryoku Level: Great Spiritual Power

Since well within his youth, Eizoku's Reiryoku levels have always been significantly higher than the overall standardized norm, and has been the primary factor in which separates his overall standing and capabilities apart from the other Shinigami in both his skill, range, and age group. Born with a naturally high reserve of Reiryoku, Eizoku, although already believing to have fully tapped into what he believed to be the full availability of his Spiritual Power, has unknowingly been blessed with untapped pools of Reiryoku which seemingly lie dormant inside of him, gradually releasing and pooling into his main confines and reserves as he ages and his overall proficiency and skill level increases in the various arts. This is typically bought on by overexertion of himself or near death experiences while on the border of exhaustion - two situations which seemingly occur far too often in the boy's profession. Eizoku's reserves allow him to both effectively and efficiently cast back to back spells of considerate potency and magnitude without immediately fatiguing or losing power in the overall effect of his castings as they continue. When under extreme stress and potentially fatal danger, these untapped pools of Reiryoku seemingly temporarily unlock, resulting in an overflow of spiritual power that floods in a manner verging upon the lines of controlled chaos, providing Eizoku with a temporary boost in his overall capabilities at the cost of his consciousness, leaving him completely reliant upon nothing more than instinct.

Shortly after his enrollment period into the academy, Eizoku found himself growing at an exponential rate in skill, in rather short intervals of time. Because of this, he quickly surpassed his peers in nearly every aspect and category the academy had to offer, gaining him the title of a "Child Prodigy" shortly after his start. He particularly excelled in the field of controlling his Reiryoku, something in which he already held an absurd natural proficiency in before he had even enrolled to receive proper instruction. His surgical like control and precision during his enrollment period, allowed him to both create and execute unique feats unheard of to the Soul Society until a couple years down the line from once he debuted as an official Shinigami, also drawing the attention of the Kido Corps. With his heightened level of control and aided development within the Fifth Division, he became capable of casting multiple high-level Kido spells in succession without experiencing any form of lethargy, often not requiring an incantation to do so.

Sensing Reiryoku: Expert

In line with Eizoku's calm disposition, and insatiable thirst for knowledge, the young Shinigami naturally utilizes his sensory capabilities as yet another factor of analytical data collection. Being skilled enough in the art to not only distinguish, but also isolate and make quick differentiation between a multitude of individuals by means of their Reiryoku patterns. Through this, he is able to discern their overall capability to an extent and actively gauge their approximate strengths, defenses, and Reiatsu levels. Eizoku is able to utilize his sensory to go beyond the mere scope of basic pattern analysis, being proficient enough to actively perceive emotions, intentions, and the intended movements of his subject with relative ease and fluidity.

When paired with his genius intellect and the abilities his Shikai allots, Eizoku is able to dominate the battlefield and force control over nearly any situation which comes his way. This typically results in the man's lust of knowledge and his drive to promulgate the information to overflow, resulting in him actively calling out the expected technique or strategy his opponent desires to carry out before they are able to do so in completion - creating an immediate intimidation and pressuring on the battlefield. As arrogant and reckless as it may seem to some, when utilized effectively in this capacity, Eizoku is able to drive his opponents into taking last second high risk strategies and actions, without properly thinking of the outcome. This grants him the opportunity to not only force the tide of the battle into his own desirable direction, but also prevents any new effective strategies from formulating while also allowing him to incorporate his own, so long as he continues pressuring.​

Eizoku is not an individual to simply utilize his spiritual pressure as a means of showing domination or superiority, but rather uses it in order to gauge the response of the one made subject to it before taking note if he should seemingly increase or decrease the amount he releases respectively. He believes in conservative fighting, never utilizing or expending more energy than necessary. Despite his Reiatsu not holding the capabilities to tear the immediate environment around him asunder, his extreme control over both exerting and withstanding both his spiritual pressure, along with that of others, stands noteworthy. He is capable of competing and withstanding the pressures exuded by vice captains with relative ease, with a few captains holding the exception, with some form of difficulty.​

Reiatsu Shape: When released and the full brunt of his Reiatsu leaks out in mass volume, it takes on the shape of various near translucent roman numerals, causing them to appear and fade away at random. Imagery synonymous to his control and manipulation of time and the components that are defined by it.

The effects of Eizoku's Reiatsu is similar to his Zanpakto's ability, in the sense that it tends to affect an individual's sense of time and reaction. Those made subject to the effects of his Spiritual Pressure will find themselves having difficulty maintaining control of their body, not only in the physical sense of simply impeded movement, but also in the sense that their perception of time is severely misconstrued. Consequently resulting in them believing they are moving perhaps at their regular or relatively notable speeds, yet in actuality they are simply creeping, inching onward at an almost stagnant pace. Their bodily functions are also made subject to this, resulting in some systems lagging and moving out of sync in irregular intervals falling behind, such as the extreme slowing of the circulation in an individuals body with a lagging of the respiratory system, potentially resulting in an individual's own body working against them without Eizoku so much as having to lift a finger.

Eizoku's proficiency with blades have always proved exceptionally high, even during his youth and time at the academy. He had always held the innate understanding that weapons should be used as if they were further extensions of one's body. Every aspect mattered, from the wielding, the grip, the drawing, the executions of various swings; everything has a purpose and set place. Anyone could grab a blade and swing, however without the correct fundamentals and foundations it proves the same as not having a weapon at all. This ideology, in accord with the fact of Eizoku's extremely close connection with his Zanpakto, makes him an expertise in the field of swordsmanship in his own right. In addition with his main forms of fighting revolving around Kido, and Zanjutsu, Eizoku has successfully created and perfected multiple styles and forms of combat which tend to deviate from the structured normalities found in most linear swordplay tactics. His rather fluid, flexible, and adaptable fighting styles allow for him to challenge and confuse even the most accomplished and well-founded of swordsmen.​


*Chien Burēdo: (遅延ブレード, "Delayed Blade")
A style created by Eizoku, founded upon the natural effects of his Reiatsu. By embedding and shrouding his blade in his own form of compressed cloaking, Eizoku is able to achieve a blade with Reiatsu so potent, that it affects the sight and perception of any individual who looks upon it, creating false after-images after even the most subtle of movements, giving the appearance and belief that the blade is moving either slower or faster than the actual movements of the wielded weapon. These after images are created due to altered perception of time and last for a total of five seconds before completely fading. With enough exposure to the effects of time perception by means of Eizoku's Reiatsu, the cerebellum portion of the afflicted individual’s brain becomes directly affected and temporarily damaged from extensive periods of strain and confusion, resulting in the inability to judge distance, when to stop, along with loss of coordination.

This style is further enhanced with the activation of his Shikai, placing the same effect that was originally unique only to the blade, onto his actual body; making him a walking illusion in a sense, and likely leaving any opponents, regardless of their range, in complete discombobulation or disarray, unable to completely grasp the situation before they become subject to the effects of having a strained cerebellum. When utilized with his released Zanpakto, Eizoku becomes able to release ranged physical crescent slices into the atmosphere that take a linear approach proceeding directly ahead, however these slices ,being that they are released directly from his blade, have the capabilities of speeding up, slowing down, or not moving altogether presenting Eizoku with an extremely flexible fighting style that could be used in a direct assault or something synonymous to a set up.​

*Nagabiku Hakai: (長引く破壊, Lingering Destruction
Once his Shikai has been activated, similar to his Delayed Blade style, Eizoku's physical techniques, with Kido included, are able to be released and linger upon the battlefield for prolonged periods of time whilst maintaining their full power and force in a constant state. This being made possible by means of temporarily eliminating the dispersion and weakening effects bought about by the passing of time on a particular subject. With this style in play, Eizoku is able to make the most efficient use of any and every technique he puts forth, without waste; capable of using or reusing techniques and physical assaults that were thought to have been dodged, parried, or countered. With such capabilities, along with the ability to render any stagnant techniques unseeable by means of masking, Eizoku is able to completely pressure and control a battle into going into the exact direction he desires with little to no difficulty, even allowing him the capability of pressuring a multitude of opponents controlling the tide of battle.​

*Kawahagi no Chien: (皮剥ぎの遅延, Delayed Flaying)
Perhaps his most utilized form of fighting, Eizoku utilizes the maximum speed allotted to him by his active Shikai, in order to guise all of his actions as a singular motion, surpassing the speed at which an individual’s eyes can detect by ordinary means. From the perception of the enemy his movements appear to be one fluid motion, however the reality of the technique is that a singular strike, can be just as very well be a flurry of over one thousand strikes in but a moment. Because of this, his opponents typically find their defense against his presumed “strike” to be ineffective and find close quarter combat with the man to be a nigh impossible task without both the discernment to recognize what’s actually occurring, and a means to effectively create a counter. He often imbues these with a stasis kido that causes any and all whom come into contact with the man to be temporarily halted in place by the limb(s) or objects that come into contact with it. This brief moment can cause the relinquishing of one’s weapon in order to free themselves, or completely be the gateway necessary to create an opening for the downfall of an enemy. Once an opponent is halted of trapped, Eizoku generally finishes up by creating a complete stasis spell upon the target at hand, resulting in a full on immobilization.

Although naturally harboring an unimpressive base speed, and failing to rival any notable individuals within the Seireitei in regards to it, Eizoku is the epitome of average in every facet pertaining heightened movement. Yet, despite harboring the perfect set of abilities to enhance this aspect of himself at an expedited rate, due to the properties of his own Zanpakto, he has ironically been negligent in doing so. In a continuous loop of irony, upon the activation of the man's Shikai, his once underwhelming status of speed is exponentially increased by a near immeasurable extent. By utilizing his properties of time manipulation, Eizoku becomes able to keep up and outpace even the most masterful users of Hohō with relative ease. Along with his drastic increase in speed, his perception of the outside world is sped up to such an extent that everything moves at a constant, near stagnant pace. This allows the third seat not only to greatly outpace and outmaneuver anyone in opposition to him, but also to perceive and react in accord with the happenings, rightly labeling him by all means as the fastest man in the Seireitei once in his shikai is activated.

The man's speed in this state is so astounding, that his movements when desired, are able to leave behind several afterimages in his wake. Due to the speed boost granted, Eizoku is also capable of hopping between his created afterimages and delivering individualized attacks from each of them. Because of this, each holds a mass to them, and as such are nearly indistinguishable from the original. The factor setting the man's utilization of afterimages apart from the Speed Clone technique, is that each of these clones are able to deliver a series of different blows rather than simply being a mimic of one individual action.

* Kuronomansā no shinkirō (クロノマンサーの蜃気楼, Chronomancer's Mirage)
By the complex analysis of an opponent within battle, Eizoku is able to read habitual fighting styles, focal habits, thought pattens, and physical maneuverings of an opponent to the most minute of details. In doing so he is able to construct a generalized perception and prediction as to how the battle will continue at a steady pace. Because of this, he has become able to pair his astute observations, intake, and strategical prowess, with his significant speed and abilities granted to him when in an active Shikai state. After a complete analysis, Eizoku is then able to guide and “react” accordingly in a sense to the assumed techniques which will be utilized, and enact a full scenario by leaving an after mirage in his steed, whilst his actual body encroaches from another location. A clear indication of this technique is the presumed failure to correctly respond to an action, and receives a hit without reflecting any actual damage. Should the interruptive strike or technique be decisive enough, the after image in itself will immediately disperse trailing back to the actual location of Eizoku​

Eizoku's focus on Kido and swordsmanship has resulted in him being utterly despicable in regards to his hand to hand capabilities. Knowing only how to correctly wield a blade as part of his own body, the irony is the fact that he cannot even use his own body as such. Without a blade in his hand, he is often at his greatest disadvantage as is nearly hopeless in a physical battle without it. He often does everything in his overall power to avoid engaging an enemy without his blade, and will ultimately seek to retreat or find another means of finding or creating some form of weapon he could potentially utilize, often using his Kido to create makeshift blade like entities to wield. Despite lacking in hand to hand combat, his movements are very agile and coordinated.​

Eizoku has dedicated nearly his entire life thus far to that of learning and mastering the art of Kido. His deep obsession for the arts and his natural tendency to achieve a beyond thorough understanding of it, compels him to continuously dive deeper into the arts. He devotes countless hours towards his studies of Kido, examining everything from the most minute detail ranging from the effects of voice inflections and posture on the released spell when casting, to the duration of each spell depending upon the class, branch, and caster. With well over a hundred years worth of studies, knowledge, application and training; compiled by his Zanpakto's ability which progresses the young man's overall training experience and application nearly five times as fast as the average training session by the manipulation of time, Eizoku has theoretically had the equivalent amount of practice and study application to that of over 1,000 years. Giving him far more than an edge on even the highest ranked Shinigami within soul society, even amongst highest ranking members of the Kido Corps despite his rather young age. As such, he is unrivaled in application, modification, flexibility, and use of Kido, and very well marks the epitome of a true Kido master.

As a result of his vast knowledge and experience pertaining to Kido, it has become his main form of both offense and defense, as he proven himself proficient and skilled enough to not only cast and efficiently utilize high-ranking Kido spells without the need for an incantation with full control, but also the ability to create his own spells and styles in the arts. When incorporating his Shikai, Eizoku's prowess in kido increases at a significant rate as it gives him a nearly limitless amount of time in order to not only cast full incantations which serve to strengthen his spells, but also gave the gateway into a new aspect of enchanting, strengthening, combining and binding his spells both before, during, and after the initiation and release. Resulting in amaranthine-esque spells of fearsome magnitude, speed, strength, and complexity in the likes of which have yet to be seen in the soul society - along with the creation of new subcategories of Kido unique and known only to and by him.​

Unlike most who view Kido as nothing more than techniques that should be used in instances of surprise attacks or when an individual is off guard, Eizoku utilizes it as his main form of combat, creating both his own offensive and defensive style, along with furthering the application of previous spells that have always been established adding some form of unique deviation which simultaneously benefiting him while occasionally catching an opponent off guard due to their familiarity with the average ordinary spells, these being classified as modified spells. His most well known use of modified Kido spell being Bakudou #81 Dankū, rather than the average appearance of a translucent wall, Eizoku is known to manipulate the shape into a dome like encasement providing him a complete protection from all angles, capable of withstanding up to Kido #90 without complication.​

Eizoku's main specialty within his specialty of Kido, resides in spells of restriction and defense. Around to fifty year mark in his studies, when paired with his zanpaktos ability this equates to over 500 years of experience and application at the current time, he has created a sub branch of binding Kido which he notes as Seishin Fūin. Unlike most spells with their own independent singular power source and purpose, Eizoku has created his own tier of “dependent” spells which revolve around his conservative and efficient style of fighting. These grouping of spells fall more so under the category of being combination or follow up spells, due to the nature in which they are “formed” and take effect. Utilization of these spell require an intertwined double casting singular word incantation, and is completely dependent upon the primary spell(s) layered with it. Unable to be cast in their own right , these spells feed off the residual Reiryoku of the caster, drawn from previous spells or techniques lingering in the atmosphere.

*Zanryū Ketsugō (残留結合, Residual Binding):
When enough residual energy is accumulated, the user holds the ability to form a hexagonal prism like structure, its width, span, and durability revolving around the quantity and potency of the residual spirit energy being utilized. When successfully formed, anything with a Reiryoku pattern differing from that of the caster’s, is contained within the barrier like encasement and made subject to its effects – bound restriction. The barrier, taking the appearance of stray electricity bound by vibrant orbs of Reiryoku, rapidly constrict upon command of the user. This rapid restriction results in all those within the barrier, with exception of the caster due to their Reiryoku Pattern, to be pulled in and bound in together. Once bound, all movement is restricted. The less amount of individuals contained, the stronger the barrier is to break.

*Zanryū Puru (残留プル, Residual Pull)
When enough residual energy is accumulated, the spell activates on command of the caster. Once activated, the solidified footing beneath is shrouded in a vibrant blue hue which holds an affect similar to intense magnetism and gravity. Any individuals with a Reiryoku pattern differing that that of the caster, is forcibly dragged down and held in place by whichever portion of their being makes contact with the lingering lagoon of blue energy pooling upon the ground.​

Hōfuku Haaku: (報復の把握, Retribution's Grasp) Eizoku while during his time as a seated member within the Fifth Division managed to develop a highly adaptable duality Kido spell in which allows him to both freely attack and defend simultaneously. By charging and channeling his Reiryoku, partnering with his masterful control of Kido, the Chronomancer creates an array of golden hands that emerge from a solidified medium in mass, often the ground. After emergence, the user is able to actively control the reach and movements of each limb. Contact with the hands of this spell causes the Reiryoku to be expelled and absorbed in mass from the victims body, into the incorporeal arms themselves. While the spell is still active, after a moderate amount of Reiryoku has been obtained, the stored energy can be used to attribute or cast a separate kido spell utilizing the incorporeal limb as a catalyst. After utilization of a separate spell, the limb responsible for the casting is then dispersed. The spell is ended after the final limb of the technique has been dispersed.

Sunatchi: (スナッチ, Snatch) - The user creates a temporary yet impressively strong gravitational center that lingers for only a moment before abrupt dissipation, causing the surrounding atmosphere to react to the sudden collapse. This creates a brief, yet intense pulling of all physical components within an area. This spell is used primarily to aid Eizoku in rendering airborne projectile strikes futile, and assists in drawing in strikes or spells that leave him with an unfavorable reaction time. However, if used incorrectly, this technique is able to drag the user into the pull.​

Genius Intellect:
Eizoku posses a heightened form of intelligence and perception which pairs perfectly with his talent of strategizing. He is able to quickly analyze an object or technique after simply seeing it once, and come to a near complete understanding of its workings and complexities. Normally after seeing a technique in action and making a quick analysis, the same technique or strategy will not work against him a second time. It is because of this that he is able to quickly adapt to nearly anything thrown his way no matter how senseless or off the wall a technique or fighting style may seem. It is through this intelligence that he progresses so quickly throughout any field of study he participates in, grasping a beyond thorough understanding of it in little to no time at all.

Master Strategist: Complimented by his intelligence, Eizoku is unmatched in strategizing. He has an undeniable talent for thinking things through well in advance, and making decisive and accurate decisions quickly in battle, and is seemingly perceptive to any situation at hand. When paired with the use of his Shikai, he states that he has what feels like an "infinite" amount of time to think things through and create a multitude of plans and outline a plethora of tactics on the spot. When peering through the vicinity effected by his Shikai, all actions outside appear to be happening in "slow-motion", despite the actuality of the speeds occurring. This gives the young man the opportunity to not only effectively counter and avoid whatever comes his way with extreme confidence, but also the ability to calmly think things through without pressure or haste.​

Temporal Intuition: Eizoku holds an internal time-clock in a sense, granting him the innate ability to distinguish and determine the exact time and date, at is at all times regardless of location, perceptional lagging, or properties an environment may hold. Using his perfectly attuned internal clock, he is able to analyze and calculate time, easily keeping track of anything down to the nanosecond. With this ability, he has become easily able to pick up, thoroughly analyze, and time all tactics, techniques, and abilities - regardless of the speed or lifeline of the technique or skill utilized. Providing him even further data to add to into his strategies and knowledge bank. With such an innate ability, opponents who manipulate perceptional components of time often find their attempts to be futile and completely ineffective.​

When in its sealed state, Eizoku's blade takes on the form of a typical katana blade wrapped in a magenta cloth - its habaki, seppa, suka, and kashira being coated in pure gold. "A true bond with one's Zanpakto doesn't revolve simply upon reliance when deemed necessary, but rather an absolute harmony, understanding, and trust. Just like how every individual is unique, so is the same for developing the relationships with your Zanpakto. Albeit hard work is indeed essential, not every bond requires a forging through brimstone and fire to progress. The hardest individual to learn is yourself, understanding that, will save you all the time in the world when striving to develop a true bond with your blade - with yourself. As for me and mine, we are one in the same.

Despite Kuronosu being a dual wielded blade in its released form, it seemingly when manifested only takes on the form of a single humanoid like male figure. It's appearance similar to Eizoku's own, the only difference being the lengthy straight black, gold tipped hair upon the spirit's head, which winds down into a ponytail that extends pass his waist. The piercing gold eyes of the brown skinned figure, matching the illuminating tattoos and writings that seed to be carved onto his skin. The most prevalent markings being the six slit like incisions that cover his face beneath his eyes, and striking symbols upon his darker colored arms. His zanpakto spirit is noted as having multiple personalities in one. The most prevalent being calm, patient, understanding, and in no hurry to accomplish any specific tasks - encouraging Eizoku to often do the same. This side of his personality serves to strike Eizoku's balance with his work and recreational endeavors. The alternate personality unexpectedly being the exact opposite. There is no set pattern to when the personalities shift or arise, and as such, a stable understanding with his Zanpakto was never truly easy to achieve. Both personalities tend to be extremely blunt when speaking towards Eizoku, bordering on the line of disrespect occasionally but doing so only when necessary out of his love, respect, and appreciation for the boy. The relationship shared between the three is extremely close, and the love shared and bonds present are evident, this continuously flourishing relationship aids in their fluidity in battle, fast discovery and development of skills, and their overall constant progression​

Inner World: Eizoku's inner world is a space devoid of any temperature, life, or organic matter. A world coated in pitch black darkness, symbolizing Eizoku's constant state and desire to isolate himself, yet being illuminated by a multitude of semi-transparent gears and clocks that tick and spiral downwards to no end. Each clock rotating at varying speeds, some stagnant whilst others rotate so fast they appear to be stagnant, the difference between the two nearly undetectable. Representing his sense of being in absolute control of both himself and the situation at hand despite the happenings. The deeper one progresses into the void of darkness, the more clocks that they find that seem to be busted or out of commission, as if they were destroyed from wear and tear usage. This factor of the world represents Eizoku's over-reliance upon the skills that his Zanpakto provides him, often using it to achieve feats that without it would prove to be unobtainable and impossible such as his awe inspiring mastering of Kido and refining of his swordsmanship to the degree that it is at a relatively young age.​

Shikai:
Upon releasing Kuronosu, the hilt of Eizoku's katana glows vaguely before releasing an intense, yet brief, wave of distortion around his body, respectively resulting in a secondary blade appearing from what appears to be thin air. The blades take on the appearance of two straight blade swords with a square tip, not ideal for penetrating or cutting, with a golden tuner-fork like spacer stemming from the hilt securing the blade in place. The hilt turns completely black with a yellow strike down the middle, falling into a hole near the end. Within these openings resides two orbs of light that radiate the colors of yellow and blue. In his right hand, he wields a blade with the capabilities of speeding up time, whereas the blade in his left hand respectively slows it down.

Shikai Special Ability: Ichiji-Tekina Fukujū - Tōnan ( 一時的な服従-盗難, Temporal Subjection - Theft)
Eizoku's Shikai is often overlooked and marked off in brief oversight as a blade which simply slows down anything that comes within a specific vicinity of him, whilst applying the same effect to whomever or whatever his weapon makes direct contact with thereafter. The actuality of the Zanpakto's ability however, is that this is only made possible by means of the blades stealing and storing the time of the individual or object under the influence of the ability. When entering the specified vicinity, items regardless of their original speed or composition, are immediately subjected to his ability and begin traveling at an unaltering contant near stagnant pace from all angles.

The Chronomancer is actively able to cause his zone of influence to expand or contract from anywhere from 5 to 25 feet at will. While active, Eizoku's field of vision becomes altered in a sense, causing everything within his sight to appear as if it is leaden, painstakingly slow – to the point where even masterful Shunpo steps become visible, readable, predictable, walking targets. His actions in this state appear from an outside perspective to be abnormally fast, blurred, and often unreadable. This storage of time once compiled, is capable of being reissued or reused after its release, in turn providing the ability to significantly speed other subjects up, similar to the way it was used to slow them down.​

Jikan no Han'i: (時間の範囲; Reach of Time) - By utilizing his blades as a medium to materialize the absorbed time itself into a visible malleable incorporeal figure or shape, Eizoku is able to directly emit or transfer the effects of each of his respective blades upon the subject of contact across notable distances, typically done so in beams or streams. With time itself being an intangible aspect, the notion of physical obstruction is ineffective, making one of the only natural work arounds being actual avoidance. The drawback to this technique however, is during the period of time this technique is utilized, the vicinity of his domain of influence is shrunken respectively to a mere five feet.​

Bankai: Kanzen'na Ichiji-Tekina Fukujū - Kuronosutashisu (完全な一時的な服従-クロノスタシス, Complete Temporal Subjection - Chronostasis)

Bankai Special Ability: Upon the activation of Eizoku's Bankai, a Temporal Replica of everything, *including himself, in a set specified five mile radius is created on an alternate plane, unable to be seen by anyone not actively making contact with his blade. Constant access for interaction within this temporal world is made possible by means of a single connecting or grasping of Eizoku's blade or body. Wherever the position of an individual was upon the activation of the Bankai, is where their respective Temporal Replica will be created and stand until the Bankai ends or is disrupted. Any damage or tampering done to the replica, rather it be an individual or an object, has a direct impact on the actual present time subject(s). For instance, if Eizoku were to decapitate a temporal replica, the actual individual whomst the replica belongs to will be decapitated in real time. These replicas once established, despite the original capabilities of the owner, prove to be extremely frail, and devoid of any boosts or capabilities that the owner may possess pertaining to defense, evasion, or psuedo immunity – only serving as time stamps in a sense, or as Eizoku references them as, "Imprints within Time". Meaning that even the most noted and revered of individuals despite their speed, strength, or durability, can become subject or defeated by such an ability with minimal difficulty. The risk to this technique however, being that this ability tampers with time itself, sucessful interaction with this real will result in one's health and status will be restored or depleted to the point it originally was once the replica was created. Meaning even if an individual happens to be at death's door, if he successfully slashes a temporal replica within the vicinity, his health will be restored or reduced to what it was at the point of the replica creation, which could become an overwhelming advantage or a debilitating disadvantage. This Bankai is one of the only known abilities in the Soul Society which can be "shared" should Eizoku make contact at least once with his allies or foes. However with more access comes greater risk, particularly to his own self, hence why this has never been done.​

Arashi Suta – Despite his current status as the Lieutenant of the Fifth Division, Eizoku has never truly seen eye to eye with the shut eyed man. After an unexpected excursion into the Rukongai district, researching the presence of the Soul King’s blood without the official directive of his Captain to do so, Eizoku met formally with his superior for the first time as an active Third Seat. Upon the discovery of a culmination of mutilated corpses of members from the Second Division, and the retrieval of the only living survivor, a volcanic eruption overtook the entirety of the area. This resulted in an all out desperate self-preservation escape. After the rather chaotic series of events had come to a presumable end, Eizoku witnessed the presence of a hollow overtaking the man before being restrained and kept under guise by means of his own Captain. Because of his unwarranted presence, Eizoku was imprisoned for a series of days, the only thing imprinted upon his mind being the sight of Arashi Suta he had witnessed in the prior days. Upon his release, Eizoku agreed to an excursion into the Dangai under the direct order of Captain Oda of Fifth, in which he was promised by his soon to be mentor an explanation pertaining to exactly what he had witnessed pertaining to Arashi and the Hollow that attempted to consume him. After an unexpected incident within the Dangai, Eizoku was displaced for well over 100 years before his defeating of the Hollow which occupied the Precipice world, a battle which certainly both nearly killed and traumatized the man. Upon his recovery, he was escorted to his division under extreme guard, where he was once again forced to be face to face with the shut eyed stranger. Because of his horrific encounter prior and the creature that dwelled within him, Eizoku responded with violence, downing the entirety of the Fifth Division and completely placing his superior into a stasis. The relationship of the two afterwards never seemed to be able to mend into anything beneficial or friendly. Instead, the two continuously bump heads due to Arashi’s own underlying sneaky and underhanded methods he uses to accomplish his tasks. Along with Eizoku’s own stubbornness and disdain towards the man. They have been in a total of two physical altercations, Eizoku proving to be the victor in both. It was due to the actions of Arashi paired with an idealistic scolding received from his mentor, which actually drove Eizoku to push for a transfer into another division, which unironically resulting in him testing for Captaincy of the Sixth Division.​

Tenzen Oda: Throughout Eizoku’s s singular year of training in the Academy before his departure, he took a deep interest in the individual known to govern over Squad 5 of the Gotei 13 due primarily to his intense interest in Kido. He would often catch glimpses of the man passing throughout the Seireitei, yet made no active advances to approach him. He desired recognition, not out of familiarity with the man, but rather out of appreciation for his skill and execution within the field of Kido. As such, with a burning vigor and an unyielding resolve in his studies, he was accepted into Squad 5 as one of the youngest members in the history of the Soul Society. Throughout he century or so within the squad, despite successful advances and notable amount of accomplishments while in the division, he failed to capture the Captain’s interest. It hadn’t been up until the point of his own disobedience and drive against the commands of his Captain, that he was granted an actual interaction. During his unapproved expedition to the outer districts of the Rukongai in search of his Lieutenant, he was detained and imprisoned by Tenzen after witnessing a catastrophic series of events. During his imprisonment, he was unknowingly recruited by the man for an almost suicidal expedition to the Precipice World. In return for his contribution and completion of the mission, he was promised both his freedom, along with an explanation of the events within the Rukongai pertaining to the rather disturbing scene put on by Arashi.

Shikai Special Ability: mekajiki no hana can create up to 6 whirlpools with roses in them, when the blade goes through one whirlpool it comes out another so two are required for a successful attack. If the blade pierces a petal before piercing a target the wound feels as if it’s boiling and if the blade does not pierce a petal before piercing a target the wound is normal.

Bankai Special Ability: the number of whirlpools that can be summoned increased to 24 and the petals change to wolfbane petals. If the blade pierces a petal before a target, not only does the wound boil, the attack becomes poisonous because of the wolfbane petals. If the blade does not pierce a petal the wound does not boil nor is the attack poisonous but the thrust becomes powerful enough to pierce through steel

Notable Features: Fumetsu is a shinigami with long, green disheveled hair that covers his amber eyes, he bears a simple shihakusho whose bottoms have been altered to fit his work environment and a crimson apron, which contains a vast array of tools and items of which he’s deemed “necessary” to keep on his person. His appearance is also reminiscent of that of a cat, with his cat-like broad smile as well as his movements and actions. Throughout his years in Shino Academy, Fumetsu had based his fighting style on the way felines move to capture their prey as a symbol of respect, as a result, many have taken mixed feelings towards him. Despite his lean appearance on the outside, Fumetsu is rather masculine possessing a toned build which is otherwise concealed beneath his clothes.

Personality: To the masses, Fumetsu is described as a strange individual, comparable to that of any previous Twelfth Division member of any notoriety, who likes to mimic cat behavior, and incorporates their movement into both his fighting style and regular mannerisms. Fumetsu also possesses an odd trait to scratch his head hard when noticing something or in deep thought which could only be the result of a lonely upbringing. Sometimes Fumetsu’s more “deplorable” side takes over in which any refinement he may’ve acquired being in one’s company can quickly change for the worse when his morbid sense of humor takes the reins. The list goes on, from his “flirty” habits to his kleptomania. Yes you read that right, if you deem an item, whether it be of monetary value, or of personal value, if you value it, chances are Fumetsu is going to want to investigate why, and steal it from you when you aren’t looking. His ability in sleight of hand knows no limits, nor bounds. Belying his eccentric nature, Fumetsu possesses a keen mind, often picking up on points that others may overlook taking note of contradictions. Fumetsu has shown very clear hedonistic traits that could in part be an act to cover up a clearly cautious side and even sympathetic side. Fumetsu may enjoy battle (or killing strong enemies) to an extent, and at times he will not hesitate to attack suspicious allies as well yet when the situation requires more prominent results, he can reel it in and interrogate them for answers.

Reiryoku Level: Immense Spiritual Prowess- | Reiryoku Control: Great-

Since birth, Fumetsu has possessed a vast pool of raw potential. This particular blessing, though often depicted boon, was expressed through the boy’s seemingly bottomless pit of an appetite as a young soul. His hunger was rarely ever quenched, and his appetite for theft reflected as such. It wasn’t until he became a “full-fledged” thief that his appetite would reined in, so too, was his ability to control his power by being able to hide himself from being sensed by any potentially souls who were also spiritually gifted or aware. This practice, though, granted from his former ex-noble teacher, gave him the head start he required when he initially wanted to enroll into the Shinōreijutsuin.
Only during his academy days did his true potential reveal itself after all the years of keeping his power contained did it fully mature and require the need for attention again, much like a river, overtime the sticks and debris get caught up and over time the flow of water slows before coming to a stop, its only after the affects of a storm that the water rises and the "dam" is swept away, only for the banks to erode away to make way for new shorelines, new natural barriers that seperate the water from the garden soil. The same could be said for Fumetsu's immense reiryoku, and his control being the need to have trained more and more so that his "river" did not swallow him whole.

Sensing Reiryoku: Expert-

From his days training with his former master, Fumetsu is a seasoned veteran when it comes to sensing and feeling out energies. Back then, in the Rukongai, his focus was keeping track of a number of occupants in a building, or perhaps tracking a singular individual through a densely placed crowd. Regardless of the circumstance, Fumetsu had quite the record for keeping his target(s) in his sights. Not much has changed in his abilities since then, other than his particularity on how he executes his sensory now as opposed to before. Now, he focuses his sensory abilities to size up opponents, or potential threats when in combat. A notable difference in Fumetsu's mental image of sensing, however, instead of percieving ribbons, are percieved like trails of colored smoke.

Enhanced Senses- Whether it be from his upbringing, or simply because of his spiritual makeup, Fumetsu possesses very potent sight, smell, and hearing, almost on the level of superhuman. Such talents make him a desirable candidate for search and rescue type missions, though with his current situation in making weapons and manning the forge in the 8th Division barracks, it is unlikely he’ll be doing such labors, though using these senses to sneak his way into places or steal food that's been hidden away, such as Kori’s sour candy, well that’s another story.

Reiatsu: Expert-
Much of what could be described as Fumetsu's biggest hurdle in the academy wasn't so much his ability to exert his spiritual prowess but rather his habit of keeping himself concealed. Which was arguably one of his best traits before his days as a Shinigami, however now coming into the "bigger ocean" from his "fish-tank" so to speak, the volumes of differences varying from shinigami to shinigami are about as different yet close as duskis from dawn. With many peers having greater control, larger pools, and even nearly undetectable reiryoku and reiatsurespectively. However, after getting accustomed to the practices of the gotei after many Semicentennial, Fumetsu has acclaimed his spot amongst the higher tiered shinigami with his weather-altering reiatsu.

Despite not being one for flashy displays, Fumetsu’s wind-based reiatsu is just that. Initially the surge of energy starts at his feet before a gust of wind is emitted from his being, causing the energy that was otherwise manifested at his feet begin to spiral upward and around him like tornadic tendrils, before manifesting into an aura taking on the appearance of a cat’s face.

Zanjutsu Level: Expert Swordsman-

Fumetsu’s prowess with a blade is nothing to snuff at, granted he may not be as well equipped as some of the master-class Shinigami, however, his current polish and skill with bladed weapons can quickly reduce an enemy to shreds without so much as a blink, his speed, and precision make him a deadly foe to anyone without the necessary skill to keep him at bay.

While not being the most adverse in Hoho, Fumetsu has adapted himself to perform swift, yet paced steps much like an acrobat, taking precision and dexterity over agility and duration. Allowing his strikes to be more concise and detrimental overall.

Hakuda Level: Expert Combatant-

Fumetsu is perfectly fine without a blade by his side and arguably may be just as good in combat without drawing his sword as he is with. He isn’t the strongest individual physically, so he relies on quantity and precision to bring down his opponent rather than brute strength. Lower seated shinigami and standard hollows are nothing to Fumetsu’s hand to hand combat, but he may struggle with enemies with greater expertise in hakuda. While sticking to fluid movements, Fumetsu's fighting style resembles that of modern day Baguazhang, his goal: Bring down opponents over time, or with multiple strikes aiming at joints or pressure points to effectively neutralize them. Fumetsu is proficient at fighting with only using his index and middle fingers as well as palm strikes to deliver devastating blows.

Kido Skill Level: Specialist-

Though not one to be called a master kido user by any means, Fumetsu found Kido to be easier to grasp than once previously believed, however his repertoire expands only to select spells he found to be cool, or prove to be beneficial to his Shikai’s ability. Through years of practice and honing his ability, Fumetsu is now able to perform spells up to the #30 range without the need for an incatation, however for those exceeding that skill, a incantation is required to give that spell the same amount of "oomph" and the lower rankings.

Skills and Abilities:

Master of Deception- Like a true politician, Fumetsu possesses a very charming tact about him at face value making those, none-the-wiser, think anything of him other than a simply eccentric person. As a successful and profitable thief, Fumetsu learned early on that it was charisma that got people places. He’d have to keep his blades sharp, but his tongue sharper, quite literally. Being a master of deception would also include being able to steal from people in broad daylight by keeping their attention focused elsewhere, and this is where his adroitness in sleight of hand as well as ventriloquism was born. Fumetsu possesses the incredible ability to mimic anyone’s voice he’s heard, if even just once before in his life, and replicate it without the need to move his lips. He could talk right in front of you and make you think you were talking to your friend who just entered a shop down the road. This unique, and what some would conceive as dastardly, skill has saved his skin in more instances than he can count, especially during his younger years before the Shino Academy.

Cat-like Reflexes and Dexterity- Having been raised as a talented thief, it would come as no surprise that Fumetsu would possess the skills to not only deal with multiple parties at once, but to also be able to escape from sticky situations. Through the years of being “on the run” in the Rukongai to the occasional scuffles our moss-haired friend finds himself in, especially in the company of his associates, Fumetsu’s combat awareness is finely tuned, and is only made that much more lethal when combined with the light-footedness and feather-like movements of a feline walking on the air. Calculative and Insightive are his means of wearing an opponent down, or at the very least toying with them until they no longer satiate his desire.

Custom Zanjutsu Techniques:
Taifu Nadegiri (台風撫斬, Hurricane Killing Stroke)
Technique Description: By forcing their spiritual energy to rotate in a flowing motion, the user creates a hurricane-like effect beneath their feet in order to propel themselves towards a target at high speeds while spinning striking through the target as if they were a drill; shredding everything in their path which then allows them to perform Nadegiri within this spinning motion granting its name.

Saya-wara (鞘技, Scabbard Technique)
Technique Description: This is a very unusual technique, but it was created for the purposes of ceasing conflict without truly drawing the Zanpakuto. This technique requires fine levels of manipulation over one’s spiritual power, in which they channel their spiritual power through the hilt and externally surrounding the scabbard of their blade. Once achieved, the user then condenses this spiritual power to a very thin layer of energy which possesses notable cutting potential, a result of constant rotation of the spiritual energy. The user then makes a single arc motion with their sheath, combined with an exceptionally skilled swordsman; one can inflict several injuries in a single motion with this technique. However, it should be noted that the cutting potential of the technique is limited to incapacitation, as this is essentially a “peace-keeping” technique.

Hikō-chū no Tsubame (飛行中のツバメSwallow in Flight)
Technique Description: This technique is where the user makes a single horizontal slash at an extremely fast speed at an opponent but when the blade appears as if it’s going to clash into the target the user switches the blade to the backside of the blade and move in with the hilt to strike the opponent in the solar plexus in order to knock them out without severely injuring them. This causes the technique to have more parallels with traditional Hoho techniques.

Zanpakuto Appearance: Zetsumkai, in its sealed form, takes the shape of a straight edged wakizashi length blade with a pinwheel style handguard that possesses a unique characteristic of being unlocked for a free-spinning attachment, which Fumetsu uses mainly for the catalyst of specific kido spells, namely Tenran and Enkōsen as both spells require a spinning source to be generated.

Shikai: Shikai: Zetsumaki takes on the form of two kukri, transforming from its original wakizashi shape into a dual-type shikai.

Shikai Special Ability: While in released form, Zetsumaki possesses the ability to create, shape, and control a vacuum of wind. With this, he is able to conjure spheres of air that are capable of cloaking anything he touches with the blade in a vacuum-like veil. Through a vacuum deprived of air on the inside of this veil, the outside is composed of fierce torrents of wind, cutting anything that touches it. With this, Fumetsu can increase the cutting ability of his zanjutsu and hakuda, as well as coat projectiles and kido spells to either secure them or increase their distance and destructive capabilities.

Biography:
Born in the 76th District of Southern Rukongai, named Han'ei (繁栄, Prosperity), Fumetsu's early stages in life were anything but prosperous. His birth parents abandoned him as an infant, dropping him off at an otherwise established household that was more like a shack makeshift into an orphanage. More children than beds, and less food than mouths, yet nobody went without, the caretakers, Kouki, and Nuuyu, made sure nobody was turned away, this unfortunately included those who only sought to steal the couple of their already suffering expenses. While the couple knew of their disposition of being taken advantage of, they still refused to turn away any soul in need, and expressed such behaviors and acts as merely an exercise, or act of their need for survival. This would soon bring about the intermingling for threads of fate to weave together.
Over the next few years, hard times washed over the orphanage. Many of the children who’d been there longer than Fumestu, had run away to find prosperity elsewhere. Until one fateful day when a traveler happened to knock on their door, after hearing about the place taking in “refugees”. Unlike many others who took advantage of the couple, this man came bearing coin, paying for his room and offering to help in any way he could to make it up to those who showed him kindness.
This person would be none other than a former nobleman, escaping a counterfeit crime which would cost him his life if he were found. Fumetsu knew not of the man’s name prior to coming to the Rukongai from the Gotei, but through his years of involvement in taking Fumetsu under his wing to provide him a future in hopes of changing the convoluted structure of the noble houses, Fumetsu would take on the mysterious man’s mononyn as his last name, Maro. This man would build the foundation of Fumetsu’s ability, as well as his uncanny behavior of kleptomania.
During his time in the Academy, Fumetsu stood out among his peers, unsurprisingly from his natural eccentric nature. One peer in particular, an upper-classman in fact found solace in his presence, a man by the name Yorugao Kiniro. A man who would graduate at the top of his class, and find himself seated amongst the Eighth Division's Seated Officers, until his untimely death during the Kototsu Incident 100-some odd years ago. A lot was going on in the world during his days at the Academy, the attempted coup of Captain Kyomu Mukuro on the then-Sou Taichou Shobatsu Murasaki. Classes were put on hold for a while it seemed during the "civil unrest" that seemed to resonate amongst all of Soul Society, and especially among the student body, causing some to drop out all together from their beliefs and overall resolve being put into question. Higen Kagayaki, or the Shining Knight as he was dubbed, became the face of what made Soul Society great, and despite having great admiration for the Captain, Fumetsu decided instead to take up the reins of his lost friend, a fallen hero, and join up with the 8th Division, from there he climbed the ranks to find himself a Seated Officer, and a Blacksmith to offer tools to all of the Gotei 13, student and veteran shinigami alike.

Personality:
Yua is a considered gentle girl with a bright outlook on life and a yearning to learn everything anyone wants to teach her. She can be a quick learner when it comes to something she is interested in, but she does try to get good at other subjects, even if one can find her passed out in boredom to anything that wasn’t entirely on paper or has to do with kido.

Being the youngest of 8 siblings, She has always had trouble trying to shine above her siblings in nearly everything. Yua always found that everything she thought of as an achievement was something her siblings did or was compared to one of them. For this, She often doubts her potential, and for that, she tends to hold herself back at nearly everything as, in her eyes, her sibling's shadows were too big to fully climb out of, learning quickly to stay in their shadows and wait for the chance to break through, if it ever came. Those thoughts and memories tend to hold her back even to this day.

When it comes to meeting new people or making friends, she always had trouble with anxious thoughts about what others thought of her. She has no confidence in making the first move. She would rather run and hide in the sanctuary of her books and research. When someone does get her not to want to run, she very much becomes cold and seemingly annoyed with having to acknowledge their attempts. This is her second line of trying to evade interactions that didn’t have to do with her comfort, which is her books.

If one manages to get past all the defenses and attempts at evasion of anything outside her usual, they will find a whole different Yua that only a few have ever managed to see. They will find a girl that loves to preserve records and whatever knowledge she gained of the day. She enjoys singing and dancing to relax along with reorganizing her collection of journals she tends to write in as if to ensure she never forgets what memories she possibly made that day, This ‘true self’ Yua is the side of her that has learned to be content with what she knows, being alone with her books and her research.

When it comes to combat, Yua is good at remaining on the task of keeping alive and her enemy at bay as much as possible. She tends to be focused and cold in her calculations and methods. She enjoys some chat when it comes to battle, but for the most part, she tries her best to put all she trained for to use in victory.

The Munetoshi. The Munetoshi is known for the Numbers of Shinigami they assist from the Rukongai into proper training within the family compound only to head off to the academy to join the ranks of the Shinigami in the name of the seiritei. The Family has a knack for finding and breeding just the right Shinigami and souls to benefit the Shinigami in numbers and set of powers, many past family members raising to rank of captains and lieutenants and have play significant roles in the seiritei in the past, which has raised the family to their status.

Yua has several siblings both older and younger. She is the twin sister of Ketsu Munetoshi. His father Kairyuko his mother Annaisha. He has several siblings the most notable of Aiya, one of his younger siblings, and Yuki his adopted younger sister.

Immense Spiritual Power
Yua’s entire family has always seemed to have a lot of Reiryoku. Yua is no expectation. Her pool might be considered significant for a green shinigami like herself. Still, it is one she has trained on controlling and maintaining to remain under the radar of her siblings and family. Yua has always limited herself to allowing any of her actual potential. The fewer people know and acknowledge her possibility, the easier it is to remain where she likes to be. The one occasion she didn’t keep her Reiryoku in check nearly caused one of her siblings to lose an arm in a training incident with an instructor.

Sensing Reiryoku:

Yua has always had a knack for sensing Reiryoku. Even as a child, playing hide and seek was a breeze, and often she could be found and still can be found late at night on top of some roof following any reiryoku she could manage to sense. This ability only further soared due to training and meditation in the academy. It has also really helped when using her kido and predicting where to fire it off in an attempt to hit her opponent without expecting it if she is lucky.

While her siblings and family have been known to be more focused on their zanjutsu skills and Haduka skills in combat, along with their strategic knowledge of battle and the best way to get the job done with their specialties, Yua followed the same route just with the one skill all of them seem to not care for Kido. She trained day in and day out to master control over her reiryoku to not entirely need incantations to her kido, along with finding her ability to cast multiple kido is quick possession of each other.

Yua has never found it hard to use her reiatsu, but she has found it pointless to indulge in training beyond essential use. She has trained herself to exeter it within the combat to mainly create an opening for an enemy by installing fear of a sleeping threat about to waken or using it to escape just long enough to regain some footing in battle. With herself being someone that is hard to tick off and one that isn't for all the usual flexing of power, it never occurred to her of an intentional use for it.

Yua has always lived by one rule regarding her daily life and routine, ‘Speed is the key to being left alone.’ She has found even as a child, the faster chores and studies were done, the quicker she could get back to the matters that she enjoyed doing. Growing up, she was always running here and there on errands or back and forth from home to the academy each day. Over the years of training in the academy and just working on her speed and endurance, she has learned a refined but not perfect Shunpo of her own on top of the normal Shunpo. This task has helped her learn to reposition or react to oncoming attacks quickly.

While Hakuda is not Yua's foremost strong suit, she is about the average or a little above average for hand-to-hand combat. She has researched and accumulated many techniques from her studies and training in the academy over the years. While she doesn’t attempt to use them very often in combat, they do help when it comes to handling close combats by blocking some of their attacks or shifting their attacks or herself just enough to avoid taking on the total damage of an attack along with many techniques to assist in escaping or disarming the opponent long enough to regain her footing in battle.​

Kido is love, Kido is life, according to Yua. Ever since she was young, she has found Kido as something to understand quickly and something that was much like ‘magic’ to a human with a vast knowledge of spells without any clue of how to use them or how awesome they might look. She never had an issue learning the rules and understanding of Kido and how to use it. However, using it without backfiring was something she learned often; However, this challenge was forever fanning the desire for growth and learning that has exceeded all possibilities she has ever thought possible, finding most spells being easy to cast without so much of an indication, She even found her zanpakuto gave her a whole new world of possibilities with modifying her method of using her kido.

Zanpakuto Name: Shibori

Zanpakuto Appearance: Her zanpakuto seems like a simple Katana with an average black hilt and a round guard with twisting ribbons within its ring. Her sheath is pitch black with a white stripe weaved in and out of the sheath, twisting around its length. A few snow-white ribbons are tied in a tight bow at the end of her blade. The blade itself is in near perfect condition without a stain or scratch along its length. The blade itself seems to have never seen battle until one looks closer as very small eches can be seen spiraling down her sword as if waiting for their true purpose to be revealed.

Inner World:Yua’s inner world is a literal labyrinth of paintings and stairs leading in every direction. The paintings and canvases move and change directions much like several 8-lane highways of constant moving traffic in all directions and stop at any time. The photographs themselves hold an infinite amount of surprise images of either experiences Yua has made or conceptual images of knowledge she has read. Most are blank canvases awaiting an idea, and most even move like old pictures show

Shikai Special Ability:
Yua's zanpakuto has a unique ability to record or ' Preserve' certain moments of Yua's choosing. With a single swing of her blade, she can preserve or 'take a snapshot' of a coming attack, location, or her current condition to be used at another time within the span of the battle. However, even her ability has limits to what it can preserve and what it can’t. It can’t preserve living beings other than herself. Certain attacks are limited to being recorded or snapshotted based on the scope of reiatsu behind the attack. Kido spells that rank 80 or higher, Gran-Rey Cero and high tier Quincy spells are among the abilities that cannot be recorded due to the level of Reiatsu they output. If this is attempted it burns through all the spiritual film (霊映画, Reieiga) Yua has at her disposal in her Shikai.

With that said, as mentioned before Yua can preserve herself in her current condition, fatal wounds she receives can be undone using a snapshot of herself in a previous condition. Film flutters out of the wound, swirling around her before quickly vanishing revealing her in an unharmed state. Doing this burns through half of her film and if done again it burns through the other half of the film leaving her with no film left to use. When we look at photos they are snapshots of moments in time that show a person in whatever condition they were at that moment. This ability draws from that as these reminiscent photos preserve the memory of whatever her Zanpakuto encounters in that moment. Then, like pulling out a photo book to reminisce, these preserved happenings are brought back through use of her spiritual film for her target, or targets, to experience.

Captain Tenzen
Yua has always been interested in studying under Captain Tenzen of the fifth squad for the most obvious reason. She had never been one for chasing or making connections to get what she wanted but imagine her surprise when one of her research interests asked her to join his squad. Poor girl almost fainted.

Yua’s closest and possibly the only friend she considered ever to acknowledge. When it comes to someone near and dear to Yua, it would be Michi, even if the shinigami would rather call Yua ‘ Yuno’ instead of her real name. That was at first annoying, but trying to get the girl to use her correct name would have probably killed more brain cells than she wanted to lose, so she learned over time to accept the nickname only from Michi.​
